coles chicken strips
On 2 seperate occasions I have purchased the coles chicken strips I have brang them home froze them straight away but once I decided to use them once cutting the packaging open the smell is disgusting its off the use by date is fine but there is something wrong with the chicken you may want to look into it as it could make people very sick I have 2 children and do not want to give them food that will make them sick I am so angry as its happened in the space of 2 weeks twice and chicken is not cheap
unethical and unprofessional behaviour
I have placed an order using Coles Online system on 27th of October to be delivered on the following day which was 28/12/2016. The driver took 15 minutes to find my apartment in a six-level building on the delivery date! He knocked on my door like he was going to break the door. Once I opened the door and he said "your payment hasn't gone through" in front of my neighbours! I replied that’s because we have chosen the EFTPOS option meaning we will pay on the spot. Firstly, he was not aware of the details of his delivery as I specifically chose EFTPOS option as my payment option. Secondly he made an unfair and wrong comment about my payment ability in front of other people that was very rude and unprofessional.
He was standing there staring at me instead of completing the delivery telling me that I need to make the payment before he can pass on the items. His way of saying this was very offensive, unprofessional and judgmental as he continued, "that’s because some people have taken the product in the past and kicked the delivery guy out so my manager advised me to receive the payment first"! What he said may be true but the way he said it and his judgmental view on me was very unacceptable.
He made me walk outside my apartment to make the payment and even after that he was standing there expecting me the take my items inside like he felt scared to being the trolley inside the place. After all, he started to bring items inside by holding a few bags instead of bringing all boxes that were placed on the trolley. I asked him why don't you simply bring the trolley inside and unload it instead of wasting so much time bring items inside individually? He replied "that’s because it looks complicated to bring the trolley inside. In the end, he realised my suggestion was the best way to do it so he moved the trolley inside and unloaded the stuff and on his way inside he whispered something to my neighbour!
He was very poor in communication, highly incompetent and unprofessional in his job to me as a long-term customer. He was offensive, rude and judgmental. He made me feel like a customer that is not valued and I have been spending minimum $150 a week on my shopping from Coles for years...I am very disappointed and upset to be treated so unfairly and disrespectfully by a staff member of a company that "had" a good image and reputation to me as my regular supermarket!
Correction: The order date was 27th of December which was typed 27th of October by mistake.
no branded foods
Coles Australia, if you rant going to stick food items then I won't shop with you.
I don't eat Coles brands so listen to your customers. I won't but Cole's Branded food.
Good bye Coles. You have pissed off your customers big time now!
Cole's, I want to see Mon Coles branded foods. Pace farm eggs, McCain Frozen vegetables, Edgel canned goods, to name just a few. Fix your food supplies.
Do you think Australians won't walk elsewhere. Watch us.
Stock poor good quality items and we walk.
No stopping us now Coles. You have become too greedy and have lost the plot.
Hello other food chains. Aldi is already great and Woolworths is on the up.
Glad to be walking away from Coles who only think of their pockets.
nair sugar wax
I bought this product today and it does not work at all. It smells nice but it does not work at all. I would like a gift card covering the cost of this product or something to be done about it. I would of been lucky to rip of at least 2 hairs out of 10 strips that I had used. I was not happy with this product and definitely will not buy again.
Thanks
deli meat
Hello Coles,
At 5 pm on December 24th I purchased sliced to order ham, turkey and roast beef from your deli department in Coles Central, Cairns, QLD
Yesterday morning, 10am December 27th both the ham and the turkey had turned, and were no longer edible.
As my day progressed I got angrier about this. As I had bought a larger than normal amount to enjoy over the Christmas period, and come day two I had to throw it out.
I have never before had an issue with storing or keeping your deli meat for sometimes up to a week. Generally though five days is standard keeping before it turns. And I expected exactly that over my Christmas period. I thought considering how busy the shops are it must certainly be fresh!
Anyhow the product has now been in the bin for 24 hrs. I could possibly find the receipt if I went through the garbage bin. Which I wouldn't like to do. I don't want to be some mad woman rifling through the garbage bringing in a stained and smelling receipt to your front desk at my local Coles, kicking up a fuss.
I do want to tell you however how appalling I think this is. Especially at Christmas. How disappointed I am in your company for passing off old stock to your customers at this time of year. We bought these products from you to feed our family and friends. We bought them with love, with menu ideas, with days of eating and watching the cricket, watching the kids swim, sharing and laughing and coming together around a meal in mind. So slap me if I wanted to cheat and take the easy way, pay a little(or a lot)extra and have you cook and carve my meats for me. Well I have been slapped in the face, at mouth level, when I attempted to grab a piece of turkey yesterday, then a piece of ham. Slapped silly. You shocked me Coles. I could not believe it. You also broke my heart when I threw my brunch plans in the garbage!
Thanks for listening to me whinge. I prefer the word vent. It's important to express ourselves in healthy and constructive ways.
Oh and yes the roast beef was fine so brunch wasn't a total disaster.
Kindly, but mildly annoyed,
Your regular customer,
Krissy

On the 23/12/2016
I was in Westfield Coles Bondi Junction
Buying my groceries I payed and began to walk out when I was stopped unbeknownst to myself a couple of my item's didn't scan so I payed for them cause here I thought it was an honest mistake, but after I payed for the item's that didn't scan I explained I didn't know they didn't scan but the lady there was making me feel like a criminal
Threatening me that she'll get the security after I had payed, so I asked why she was getting security she said cause I shouldn't be talking to her like that she's a women, in no way was I being prejudice or discriminating towards her, if that's how Coles trained her to deal with customers that made an honest mistake then that's a supermarket I wouldn't want my friends or family members to be going to.. Very disappointed.
inghams chicken breast kiev
On the 21st of December 2016 I purchased your inghams chicken breast Kiev garlic butter 350g 2 pack from Toowoomba South Coles. On the 22nd of December I cooked one Kiev in an air fryer until golden brown. After cutting into the Kiev I was shocked to find out that the chicken on he inside was raw. This was my second Kiev for the pack and the first one was fine. The chicken is raw in the centre of the entire Kiev.
coles wholemeal and grain soft wraps 8 pack
I always purchase these wraps and have noticed that the sealing strip has changed recently, I am a fairly strong person but have been having quite a bit of trouble opening the new seals, with the occasional pack actually tearing at the seal as I have to put a lot of pressure to open, these wraps are good but might need to find an alternative if this problem continues, thanks

service
I put in a complaint to the manager of the armidale store about very rude service and was told he would look into it. So the next time I went into coles I was treated even more rudely than before so complained again only to be asked if I had a history of complaining, it was the same people that was in the first complaint, so they don't like being told how to respect customers. I wonder who do they think they are. I have shopped at coles for over 40 years and never ever been treated that way. I run a business and if my staff treated customers rudely they would need to apologise and never do it again or they would be fired, after all the customers pay their wage. I have liked shopping at coles but I can never walk back into the amidale store again. And l like coles I think it is the best store to get groceries but I will shop somewhere else. Carol swilks.
service
Around 3:30-4:00 in the after my husband and i are checking out in self service paying for our stuff in Coles Caversham. Then this girl name Mandy suddenly come to us and said, stop stop you need to stop now and go to register. And I was shocked because I didn't know what's happening. My husband didn't stop because the girl's approach was so wrong. If we missed something she could checked it herself to double check and we were willing to repeat it again but she started shouting as if we are stealing something. I never been on this shameful situation in my life and I want an apology from that lady.
customer service
A customer went into the Coles bottle 'o' to purchase some alcohol. And the employee behind the counter was very very rude as the customer tried to make general conversation. As she was rude, the customer asked her to speak nicely. She refused the customers service, and asked him to leave. It isnt the first the Coles employee has been rude. This is very poor customer service and if the issue isnt dealt with we will no longer purchase ANYTHING at coles again.
jarrah coffee everyday low prices
I have enjoyed buying the jarrah coffees regularly because of your everyday low prices guarantee. But yesterday I went to buy a couple of jars and noticed the price had changed from $4.40 upto $6.00. I'm not at all happy. For medical reasons I can not drink proper coffee and I'm not a tea drinker. Please explain the price hike. This is in Toowoomba city Coles.
coles choc pop ice creams
Sticks are not good enough to be in a ice cream.
My son ripped his tounge open on finishing the ice cream as the stick is all cracked with sharp edges,
This is not the first time this has happened but the first time my child has been affected by it.
I would like a full refund on the whole box I bought as I have had 4 icecreams out of the 40 I have purchased where there has been problems with the sticks.
My sons tounge was bleeding and he was in pain, poor child is only 3!
meat sold near to expiry date
Time and time again ive been stung by coles by buying meat that expires within 2 days or even less of purchase! This is continually happening at the greenslopes store and the final straw was realising last night that the steak i bought on monday night the 12th of December expired on the 13th! Not discounted or anything like that. Ive been shopping there for 1 year now since moving to the area (i previously shopped at woolworths in coorparoo ) and im so fed up with the expiry dates being a regular issue for us that im looking for a new supermarket that isnt coles. I would however like an explanation as to why they are constantly selling chicken and meat with 1 to 2 days expiry if that and not even marked down to alert the shopper into seeing it is near expiry
customer service and possible oh&s incident
My name is vishalsrivastava, last evening I was in cooled super market around 6:30 pm in entrada building on corner of church street and Victoria road in parramatta .
We where entering the store and where selecting the aisle to get in to pick the required inventory .
Suddenly I noticed one of the staff member with cleaning trolley was rushing at a very high speed where we were standing I quickly asked my wife to move ahead to avoid a possible incident . Then i checked Gurpreet ( cooled staff ) and said please can you be not slow i have 3 months infant and wife and there could have been a possible serious incident here . To my surprise he was being very rude and said Did anything happened ...
I told him I will address the matter with store manager as it is falling under issue of OH&S and your attitude and behaviour . He was very sarcastic and walked off in haste from there .
Then I went to checkout counter to ask for manager nd he was pushing few trolled and passed by me there with a sarcastic approach .
I was advised to talk to Collin (person in charge ) and I narrated the entire event .i would like to make a formal complaint against Mr.Gurpreet for this approach and behaviour and risk to people due to his negligent and rude approach which could lead to a potential hazard in public area of super market .

bought Round steak in good faith having bought it before it was Tough & full of Grisel& cut to thick
cashier attitude and consideration
My Fiance recently shopped at your kings meadows store in Tasmania. What she was confronted with is without a doubt one of the rudest and unprofessional people that she has ever encountered.
My fiance wears hearing aids. These are not 100% successful in extremely noisy environments. The cashier said something to her, she did not hear fully and leaned closer to try and hear better. She was promptly told to "Stop gawking and unpack her basket"
Is this the standard for Coles because I think that it is deplaurable and quite franky rude. This cashier then proceeded to be rude through out the entire exchange show a general iritability and disgust.
Although I am not actively seeking compensation for my fiance who was shocked by this attitude towards an obvious disability I do want to bring this to your attentiona and want to know what your policy is for people who act this way?
Regards
Chris Denton
white ox tobacco
I bought a 50g white ox from coles maryborough when i got it home i descovered it was 60% stem to 40% tobacco and it weighed 42.84g.
I have been smoking white ox for 15+ years and I'm very disapointed in your product as it has been getting worser and worser every time i buy a packet of ox, i would like to be compensated for the bad product which i bought in some way.
Thank you.

Please compensate me
Hi just letting you know that I am so disappointed in the product you are trying to sell and saying that it is white ox its not even black or smells the same and it's full of stem I have been smoking it for 20years or so now and I think it is disgusting that you are trying to sell it as white ox as it simply is NOT white ox anymore.
1 litre carton milk
I bought a 1 litre of low fat and 1 Litre of normal milk from your Warwick. I mixed 30 mills normal milk and 80 mills Low fart milk and tried to froth it up in my Nespresso Frothier, it didn’t froth at all. The next time I tried to froth another one up in my other coffee machine, the DeLong the same thing happened. I have had this same problem before when I used the Coles carton milk a long time ago. I now have to go to Woolworths near me in Warwick & buy a two litre normal & two Litre low fat milk.
