Water Billing - Overbilling What Utility Provider Charges
So I use to have Conservice and they totally ripped me off for over a year on water and sewage. I complained and never got a straight answer from them. The bills just got higher and higher with them. I've attached a photo that shows what Conservice billed in 2020 and what the actual provider of water and sewage billed at my new home in 2021 for the same months. As you can see from the photo, Conservice is billing more than double what the actual utility costs; yet they will tell you they are only billing you for the bill they get from the utility provider plus their "convenience" fee of $9.95 a month to bill you and pay your bill for you. Total bull! Conservice needs to be sued and needs to be shut down; the executives need to spend time behind bars.
Desired outcome: Class Action Lawsuit and Business/Executives Held Accountable

water utility bill
My water charges for the utility [protected] - Gran Bay Apartments Jacksonville has been averaging consumption of 1200 gallons from Feb to September this year and from October it has shot up to approx. 4200 gallons with no change in the number of occupants(2) - In fact October and November we were out of town for 4-5 days each. The apartment service people did a gallon test and they said it doesn't reflect any leaks
High Increase of water bill....
I moved into Highland Chase homes on 7/16/2021 and I am trying to figure out how my water bill literally jumped from $16.42 (I do understand that was for only 2 weeks) to $232.94 from August to September! As well, I just received my next bill, and that amount is where the bill should be, at $25.83. I am thinking that there was a # added to the $232.94 by mistake on Conservice end; maybe it was $32.94...or $23.94? There is NO WAY my water bill is that high and the next month it considerably decreased down by $207.11. Certainly, that should be a red flag for you all with Conservice. I explained to management about the water usage in my home which is extremely low. However, there has only been 2 water maint. issues in my kitchen and bathroom. Thank you so much for your time.
Desired outcome: I am requesting a waiver of $232.94.
My water bill going from $50-$190 over 1 year in an apartment
I have spoke to conservice in may and was told they will reach out to my apartment complex and I should receive a credit. Nothing has changed I keep calling conservice and I am unable to reach a live person. I keep calling the leasing office and asking to speak to a manager and no one has returned my call. This has been ongoing with no resolution I have gone on vacation 6 times this year and the water consumption is still high. I have told them about the running toilet which I turn off constantly and was told it was fixed. I am not sure what's going on but this is highway robbery there is no way a water bill is this much in an apartment.
Desired outcome: A adjustment to all bills for overpayment
High Water Bill
Water bill has been going up since June 2021, and now it is getting outrages. I tried calling Conservice several times no one answers the phone. I live at Southpoint Reserve at Stoney Creek, Spotsylvania county VA. I contacted Spotsylvania county and was told that they do not have any control over how much they charge for water/sewer. Filed a complaint with SCC- State Corporation Commission, they told me that they had no control over Conservice utility. I also talk to the management office at Southpoint Reserve at Stoney Creek. No one is giving me any information on how much Conservice is charging for water/sewer. Also they are charging for pest control and trash which is do not understand. Water has been going up since July 2021. I have a one bedroom apt. live alone, sometimes i'm not home on the weekend. water and sewer has been going up from $50 to $88 a month this is outrages.
I have copies of my bills
Overcharging
Conservice has admitted that they are billing me incorrectly but will not issue a credit for their mistake just saying it will be corrected going forward. In April, my water/ sewer increased 4 times what it was before. My lease clearly states that it should allocated by ratio occupancy for the last two leases. (two year time period). The people directly under me are under the same plan with one more occupant and there water/ sewer bill is $8 while mine is $165. I have been being charged incorrectly for months, they admitted their mistake but want me to pay for it.
Desired outcome: Credit to my account for all overcharged
Water/Sewage Billing
I am 65 years old and live alone. I just moved into an income based apartment 2 months ago.
My first water/sewage bill by Conservice was $38.54 for 1140.00 Gal. This first month bill was prorated. I only used 2 weeks worth of water.
This month, my billed hiked up to $134.24 for 2635.00 Gal for the whole month.
This means that I am almost on target for my monthly water consumption, which should be about 2300.00 Gal - 2600.00 Gal per month.
My complaint is that this company is ripping me off. Not only me, but other tenants where I live.
We HAVE TO pay this with our rent payment or get evicted!
People around here moved out all of the time.
When a person or families are struggling to make ends meet, and pay a low rent payment at an "income based apartment, " then to get an enormous utility bill for water/sewage, then they are forced to move into an unsafe area, section 8 housing, that does not use Conservice.
I will also have to move away from what I consider to be a safe area to live, as I cannot afford to live here and have to pay this amount every month for WATER!
There has to be some type of action taken against this company. If I have to, myself, I will find the resources needed to file a class action lawsuit.
It will not be difficult to get others on board.
Desired outcome: Get to the bottom of this scam. Conservice is a scam company. Someone is getting very rich by ripping off low income people!
Water
Conservice lost a bill I sent in for my july payment on june 21st. I wasn't aware of this till I got my next bill and there was a double charge and a late fee. I pay by bills on time every single month actually early. I cant get in touch with them because they will not answer the phone. I have sent them email and wrote them a letter with my my august bill and explanation. They ignored that and sent another bill with a double charge again and a double late fee. I still refuse to answer phone. I called late night thought I could get through easier. There were 28 callers in cue. I put down my phone on speaker till finally it said I was next caller in cue there was a click and then it said I was 59 caller in cue! I hung up again in frustration. Someone got back to me in email and keeps arguing with me instead of trying to resolve. I keep asking for a direct # to a manager or a call from a manager that request is ignored. I keep saying if you lost my july payment then I will gladly send another but I refuse to pay any late charges when I did and do send allllll my payments in early and I would like to speak to a manager so we can resolve this. This request just keeps being ignored. I feel like they are just taking advantage of low income families to try and up the bill any way they can by tacking on the bogus late charge every month ignoring my request that I am trying to resolve the issue at hand! This is fraud! I am contacting lawyer if this continues! The attorny general, the consumer affairs.. Bbb. All credit agencies! They are crooks! (I now have a triple late charge regardless that l
I send my bill in on time every month!)
Desired outcome: A direct contact # for manager/ take off all late charges and I will resend my July bill!
Billing Service
Utility bills consistently arrive late. This month's bill arrived yesterday and it is due in nine days, which means I have to make a payment online and pay a "convenience" fee. If the huge credit card customers can get their bills here with twenty days to pay, why can't Conservice? And why do they charge a "convenience" fee to pay online? Very frustrating!
Electricity
Is it legally allowable for conservice to back bill and pass on exorbitant rate increases as a result of the Texas winner ice storm of 2021? I understand increased electrical use during the cold month of the storm would increase my bill but the increased price of electricity caused by poor political decision making and poor electrical grid management contributed significantly to the problem yet electrical companies are being allowed to pass on the increase cost to them through increased cost of electricity and increased payments by the consumer. Last month my bill including conservice back billing was three times the normal amount this month it's five times the normal about with additional back billing. I realized that the Texas legislature is still kicking this around, but what recourse does the consumer have when conservice passes on such exorbitant increases claiming that is because of the increase in the price of electricity yet is back billing for that prior to the price increase.
Desired outcome: Explanation of the legality of the price increase and back billing
Charges for water and sewer from months ago, prior to lease
Trying to charge me for water and sewer from June to October last year prior to leasing this apartment. All previous bills here were paid in full. Then made up an excuse that it was from my previous apartment. A simple BBB review will show you this is an unethical company that scams renters via the management companies they work with. They are NOT a BBB member for obvious reasons.

I am a tenant at 1579 Cove Creek Circle Norcross, GA for nearly 6 years.
During these times my water bill was about $15 a month (I live alone and almost always on the road). For more than 4 years I was making my payments to APEX .
The account then got transferred to conservice. They started charging $75 a month. They stated that because the water meter was not working properly they were estimating the water bill based on property tax records in the area.
They explained that once new water meters are installed they will make the necessary adjustments to the bill. They never did whilst charging late fees on the unpaid balance. Now this account is again transferred to Atlanta Community Services.
Please let me how know to fairly resolve this issue.
Thank you

Electric bill
My son lived in an apartment complex this past year while attending college in Erie PA that used Conservice for their electric bills. I had contacted Conservice a number of times because I felt my son's electric bill was really high, sometimes higher than our electric bill at our house, but they assured me it was correct so I paid the bills. When Penn State changed their policy and had college students take classes online my son moved out of his apartment (mid-March). I continued to pay the rent/electric bills because the contract was thru May 11, 2020. According to Conservice the final bill was for electric service 3/18/2020 thru 5/11/2020. Two different Conservice employees quoted my son's final bill for this period (3/18/20 thru 5/11/20) of $45.14. per month, for a total final bill of approximately $95.00. (Actually my son turned his keys into the apartment on 4/24/20 and although I am not happy about it I am willing to pay for the electricity thru 5/11/20) Conservice then billed my son $202.95 for the period 3/18/20 thru 5/11/20 stating they prorate the final bill based on daily basis rate from three months prior but said "it is not their policy to refund any over paid balance and that my son owes the $202.95. Again he was not in the apartment for this time period. They are not billing us for actual usage but with a prorated figure... this would be fine IF we were reimbursed for any amount we overpaid! Why would this company just not bill according to actual usage!

Questionable billing practices / legality??
I've lived in the same building/unit for 4 years, leasing a one bedroom with bath(tub), and always a single tenant. My bill is constantly changing and increasing, with additional property and random ‘new' changes all the time!
2 months ago, due to financial reasons, moved to different unit in the same building - from my one bedroom 900sq ft to a Studio 460sq feet (no bathtub; just shower).
Not only am I in the exact same building, just one floor up, but my Conservice Bill is NOW higher at just short of $200! WTH!? Additionally, they're charging me a New Account set up fee of $13.00 in addition to the $5 Service Fee. I was already a customer... so WTH! Just change the unit #.
Also, they're suddenly charging for Electricity for the ‘Common Areas'. Anyone have feedback on the validity of that?

electricity
So I move into a rental home on july 24 and get a bill for 3 days of over $100! So that is #1.
#2, my next full month of utilities is over $400! What the hell? (fyi: I live in a 2200 sq. Ft home now but in my previous home which was 2 stories over 2500 sq feet with 2 ac units, my highest bill was $360)
#3, month 3 now I get the bill now over $500! Wtf! I was livid! How is my electricity alone over $300 this month? I looked on bill and on my lease and nowhere can I find the kwh charge for them. It shows I used over 33, 000 this month and 3100 last one. How? That is insane and unheard of. I am switching asap but can anyone tell me if there is anything else I can do other than warn everyone?
billing
BEWARE of rentals using this service! They will tack on their service fees whenever and where ever possible, and Service fees are unbelievable! Not worth the service! Was charged an electric bill utility fee that was purposely not charged in previous month just to have $50 service included. Communication is horrible and you get major runaround between them and your leasing management
Difficult i
I have received a invoice/ statement pertaining to a delinquent bill. Being had issued through Altitude on 5th.. I figure their must have been some type of type! Yet time and again my email addresses has received these email since April of 2019. I had contacted Altitude on 5th to address this matter and was (aid there has not been a individual of that name...

We have recently received a bill from Conservice claiming we have used 69, 700 gallons of water this past billing date 6/19/2019-7/16/2019. I called customer service and they claimed that they are charging us an average usage from April till the current period. This makes no sense as they have just recently became our utility provider. In the previous month they estimated our balance because they were unable to get a correct meter reading. They estimated our average consumption at 5, 300 gallons from 3/23/2019-4/22/2019. I would understand if there were to be a leak, but the customer service representative claimed that they are charging us for them miscalculating previous months and combining multiple months into one. She was unable to provide a bill that represents what she was claiming. Even so 5, 300 gallons a month doesn't come close to 69, 700 gal. That is over a years consumption based off 5, 300 gallons a month.

being charged for a service I didn't sign up for
This company has billed me for no reason at all. I don't even do business with them and they expect me to pay what costs more than half my electricity bill for vacancy. Stay away from these guys. They are definitely con artists. They want 6 dollars plus 50 dollar vacancy fee which I would have no way of knowing about until they actually billed it to me. I...
