Then was told they couldn't put tires on because of strick costco re: the numbers on tires..But I could buy 2 more tires. No I don't need 2 more tires! Very upset! Ask for a refund an went across the street to Discount who had 2 tires for me an the wait was not long. NEVER WILL I BUY AT COSTCO FOR TIRES!
very concerning issue / safety issue
On recent visit to Costco Business Center in San Diego, I noticed something concerning. There was all men inside the business center working check out while one young female was outside gathering carts and loading large amounts of item on customers car up by herself. It was upwards to 89 degree weather that day; sweating through her clothes, clearly exhausted. I was told she was normally left to attend that carts by her self. I'll say it again While the men worked inside and at the cash register. Is this the representation of Costco?
...
I am not understanding the complaint? It is ok for a man to do it but not a woman? A man is ok sweating through his clothes and tired but not a woman? That doesn't seem to equal to me... i could be wrong...
computers
We recently were in the Christiana store and were attempting to purchase a laptop. We requested assistance and waited for over 25 minutes for assistance after having a staff member paged. This laptop is advertised on line as on special. The fact that no associate ever showed up to assist us, and that unlike many other big box stores we can't check on line to verify availability nor could we reach customer service on the phone. We have been loyal members for years, this is no way to do business.
pharmacy
I worked in a pharmacy for many years so I know what great customer service should be like and Costco Pharmacy is a far from quality which is what you should expect from a membership driven company. Every time I got there, I have to tell them how to do their job. My Doctor will send over a prescription electronically right in front of me or I would call in a refill and the Doctor would call it in and the Pharmacy would claim they never received anything or an approval. I would call back again and again and the third time they had it because that was the only time they put me on hold to look. The most recent is when I had an approval for a medication to be refilled and told them I would pick up next day and when I called the next day to see if it was ready I was told they were out of stock and my question was why wasn't I told this yesterday or did they not fill it yesterday for me to pick up today and the clerk put me on hold. She came back on and said they had it from a different manufacturer so I said yes, please fill. This has not only happened with my medications but with my cat's as well. If the prices weren't so good (my insurance doesn't cover everything) then I would go back to Target.
service
Tucson, AZ: On Saturday 8/12/2017 5:08 pm I was walking into costco and had my firearm on my hip. The greeter was defensive and rude when speaking to me about my firearm not being allowed. I asked where the sign was stating this since you see other signs about wearing shoes, no soliciting, etc. The greeter stated "this is private property."I would continue my business if this was clearly stated and if the greeter directed me to speak with a higher position instead of shaming me in front of other members..
kirkland hearing aid batteries
The newest packaging for Kirkland Hearing batteries is horrible. The plastic ring is almost impossible to spin. Putting more pressure on it to get it to turn results in the whole package falling apart leaving tiny batteries scattered around.
I imagine most of the customers that use hearing aid batteries are older with potentially decreased manual dexterity due to arthritis etc.
Please redesign the packaging for what is otherwise a great product
titanium glasses half frame size 52 men
For many years, I have been getting in Costco a new pair of glasses every year, using a titanium size 52 half frame.
Last Dec. I went to my closest store, Carmel Mountain San Diego, and they did not have such a frame. They recommended a stainless steel one. It broke after a few months and 3 days ago I had to pay for a replacement (full cost + tax).
I need a new pair, and they again said they don't have a titanium frame. Based on my poor experience with other metal, I wanted to get a titanium one. Their data base does not let them search for it since they don't know the item number. They told me to try in other stores.
I tried in Costco Poway, with same result. No frame, and they don't know which store carries it.
I cannot spend the time going to every store in search of the frame. I believe that a great chain like Costco should have the capability to search in its data base.
kirkland signature thick sliced bacon center cut
The last two packages of the above bacon have been dramatically different in taste, size, and texture from all other packages I've purchased over the past year. Today I cooked a pack labeled "Best If Used By 10/29/17, 4-5 EST:20722 10/30"
It cooked with some slices shrinking to half their size, others remaining the normal size I've seen with other packs I've purchased over the past year, there was no flavor instead of the normally flavorful taste.
Did you switch suppliers? Did you lower the standards for the most respected private label in the world Kirkland and Kirkland Signature?
I developed several private label brands over the previous 10 years. When possible we compared the products submitted to the national brand as well as Kirkland.
This bacon was very poor.

I just cooked the thick cut bacon center cut from Costco Kirkland brand. It was inedible. SO SALTY it was ridiculous. This does not meet with the high standards that Costco usually has.
I agree as well. Last two packages purchased were inedible - horrible taste. We’ve been purchasing this bacon for a few years, it was our favorite but I don’t think we’ll buy it again ... something has changed and not for the better. Please Costco, go back to the good stuff!
I agree. Please go back to original supplier. This went from the best bacon to inedible.
Stick to Hoffy brand. Cheapest, and uniform quality, no sugary maple junk added. Always do bacon in the oven - set at 370 degrees. Turn after 10 or 12 minutes. Always perfectly crisp.
BTW I love my Kirkland blue jeans. Great fit. Can't be beat.
i ate rotten cherry tomato
I bought Cherry tomato yesterday(11.Aug.2017). I drove to my house directly spent just 25min and put that Cherry tomato to frige directly. Home frige still working good. Today(12.Aug.2017) i washed it and ate. I was found one of rotten cherry tomato during wash that and skip it up. Because it normally possible happens. But when i chewed it i was feel little bit different with others. So i disgorged cherry tomato from my mouth and took a picture and upload to here is first picture and i looked it up how many rotten tomatos in my tomato container. I found 7 or 8 rotten tomatos.
I want to go hospital now and i think i will never eat tomato again...
how can i refund it?
Costco must call me for sorry with how repose this happen.
kirkland pistachios... extremely over-roasted
First off, I want to say that Costco is an amazing company! That is the reason for my complaint. I'm not looking for a refund...I just want the product to reclaim its past glory. I'm good for 2 bags of your Kirkland Pistachio nuts per month. Nobody could match your quality! But, for the last couple of months, that quality has gone downhill. The nuts have been over-roasted (I think?). They don't have that beautiful green color that the majority used to have. Now, most are a dark color, with dark staining on the outer shell. I finding that at least 50% to 60% need to be tossed from every bag. Please look into this for me.
Thank you,
Rick Friedlund
fresh pork
I purchased for second time in a month fresh pork ribs packaged by swift, again a foul odor and unable to use. I have taken down the swift package code and will investigate when it was packed because your costco label had a pack date of 8/6 with sell by date of 8/15. There is no way that swift packaged the ribs on that date when I live in eureka, ca, and bought yesterday 8/10. I'm concerned that the product had expired and an employee affixed a new label in order to sell the product instead of throw away. I have a pic of label and will investigate further. Very disappointing.
kirkland signature kitchen drawstring bags
One of the first new and so-called improved bags I used broke, tore, and my garbage leaked out. The next one I had to double because I was afraid it would tear on the way out to the garbage can. I have never had that happen with the old ones, which were strong. The new improved Kirkland Signature kitchen drawstring bags appear to be weaker and NOT better. Please bring back the old ones!
costco pharmacy service in chantilly, va
I am not very pleased with the customer service I received from this pharmacy. Here is what happened:
1) I received a bill of $500 from my previous health insurance carrier, united health care (UHC) for a prescription I filled at your drug store in Chantilly, Va. I just called that store and spoke with Desiree and asked her if she can reverse the charge and bill my new carrier, Aetna.
2) her response? No, because the charge is oover 3 weeks old. I asked her why that is? And she said it is "Costco policy". However, I could not find anything on your website that says that in writing.
3) I informed her that I filled a prescription in that pharmacy in January and gave Costco my new prescription card. That medication was charged to Aetna. So I told her that the March charge is Costco's oversight and that Costco should reverse it.
4) her response? No because it is older tha 3 weeks old and that since Costco submits this online, I should work it out with UHC. I told her that since I have Costco my new prescription card in January, shouldn't i expect Costco to update my records accordingly and forward the charges to my new carrier?
5) her response? No because UHC paid. I was at this pint very annoyed and when I asked to talk to someone higher up, she said I will get the same response from her manager, Tien.
We are loyal customers of Costco and we pay our bills in full, every month. We enjoy excellent customer care from Costco and expect that in every service it delivers. That same level of quality is expected from your pharmacy and its staff.
Can you help me resolve this matter and have the pharmacy reverse the charge with UHC and charge the bill correctly to Aetna?
Thank you. You can reach me at [protected] or email at [protected]@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

townsend farms organic triple berries 819490
I am a long time loyal customer of Costco and generally am pretty happy with your products and customer service. I just got back from the Livermore, CA Costco. I was purchasing the above referenced item Townsend Farms Organic Triple Berries. The original price was $9.89 This price was half way covered up by a new price of $6.59. I was going to get the frozen blueberries but decided on these instead as they were a cheaper price. I get up to pay at the register and the berries rang up at $9.89. I told the clerk about the price difference and the helper went back and checked. She came back with the tag that said $6.59, talked to someone else and told me they were priced wrong and the correct price was $9.89. Not a big deal but seems like you ought to sell something with the price that it is actually marked at. A little inconvenience for me to have to wait while the clerk went back and checked. Needless to say I did not get those berries. I will also be more careful in the future when checking prices with what the shelf price is and what it actually rings up at.

michelin excessive tire wear
I purchased 4 Michelin tires for my Ford truck from Costco in June 2016. They are now worn excessively "cupping" etc. on the front. This happened in spite of rotating them once, in February 2017.
In August 2017, I went to Costco to have them look at my tires and address the issue. The manager looked at the tires and told me to go to a service station and get the front suspension checked. If the suspension was good, he said he would replace the 2 tires. I went to the garage to have my suspension checked, and the garage said everything looked good - there was nothing wrong with the suspension. So, I went back to Costco to have my two tires replaced. When I arrived at Costco, a different manager told me I didn't rotate the tires enough times. He said I put 21, 000 miles on the vehicle and rotated the tires only once, where I should have rotated them twice.
All that Costco ended up doing was rotating the tires. When he was done rotating the tires, the Costco rep said the tires were never balanced and that would also wear them out. He admitted that it was likely Costco's fault that the tires weren't balanced.
I've never had tires wear out like this in a year in my life, in spite of having rotated them once during the year! I am frustrated not only because the tires are worn, but also with the way Costco chose to handle the situation. Two different managers provided conflicting information, and one of them even admitted it was Costco's fault. I would like to request that Costco replace my two tires or issue a full refund.

being stopped at the door
Hi I was going into the Costco in Clearwater Florida when I was stopped at the door and asked for my membership ID I told the man I have one but I don't have it on me and I'm going to get a piece of pizza he said I still have to see your ID to go get pizza I am from California and all of the cafeterias in San Diego are outside you do not have to show a membership for some of the ones here also and then he made me go stand in line get my membership number so I can go get a piece of pizza are you made me feel like I was a liar and a thief and I don't appreciate it I don't like the way it was handled I think it's a ridiculous policy and I don't I'd seriously considering ending my membershipmy membership then I went to the manager on duty and he gave me a whole line of crap he tells me that oh we've we check how many people coming to the store for fire hazards and only week we count how many members are in the store in a bunch of crap that I'll know it's [censor] and that's their policy because they're trying to enforce it more and I think it's just a line of [censor] they make people feel like thieves coming into the store and they are members and they don't believe them when they say their members I know people lie I know people try to get in the store but can they do once they're in there they can't buy anything without a membership card so what are they going to get a deal on a piece of pizza Jesus Christ for you could you company that cheap but they can't afford to let somebody going to get a better price on a piece of pizza hate to tell you pizzas only five dollars for a whole pie somewhere else so it's not a fantastic deal and they half the time they sit there and you're just drying out anyway but beside the point it's just a rude obnoxious policy to stop people when they tell you they're remember and you still have to cost them and make them prove it it's like you're making them feel criminal and I don't appreciate it as much as I like buying the products from Costco I guess I'll have to turn to Sam's Club because there are a lot less rude
covington pharmacy department
Another round of intrusive and inappropriate questions while trying to fill a prescription.
I had a prescription for pain medicine issued by my doctor. When attempting to get it filled i was questioned (yelled at) as to "where" my pain was. Not by one but 3 people at one time as I refused to answer their question. It seem as they wanted to argue they were right in asking more than just finding an alternative to the situation.
They also told me that refusing to answer would "really slow down" their filling my prescription.
I certainly hope there is a video to review look at around 4:05 pm.
It is none of the pharmacists business where or what the nature of my diagnosis is!
This is not the first time this has happened and I find it disturbing that you instruct your employees to ask these question under the ruse of "verifying" the validity of the written prescription.
If there is any question as to the veracity of the prescription the pharmacist should be checking with the issuing doctor not wanting a diagnosis in front of several employees and customers.
The employees also told me that the "last regional manager didn't work there any more because they weren't asking these intrusive questions"
I believe that it is a violation of patients privacy and HIPPA laws with this type of questioning.
Rebecca Hartwigsen was the only person with a card there and present.
My membership number is [protected]
I have had it with Costco pharmacy they are rude and chronically understaffed. Some prescriptions take as long as an hour to fill.
Completely ridiculous!
organic fruits
We shop mostly in Costco Long Island stores. Apart from organic apples, to find organic fruit in any of your stores is sort of a miracle. Family members of ours live and shop in Denver. They find numerous organic fruits most of the time.
Are we, in New York living on the other side of the moon? Disappointing. We go to Whole Foods Market or to Stop and Shop for organic and pay more than we'd pay in Costco. How disappointing that for years your practice hasn't changed.

service
I went Costco (100 Biscayne Crescent, Brampton, ON) on 6th August, 2017 with my wife and 3 kids. We were on the cash register to pay and my wife was keeping goods inside the trolley. Suddenly one Costco employee (BIBIANA) pushed my wife (without saying anything) from back with the big cart (Big Sofas) what BIBIANA and other lady was pulling. My wife got hurt from back and then she screamed. Bibiana said sorry but at the same time she was laughing and left. We thought she should stay there after hitting my wife and should ask my wife if she was ok or not. But her sorry looks to us no sincerity, as she was laughing and left. I complained this to the manager, MIR. We expect better service from Costco.
worst customer service
I'm writing to complain the worst customer service I have experienced in Costco today. It's common to bring a friend or a roommate to Costco for shopping. I brought my roommate to Costco today. When we were ready to pay, I handed over my membership card to cashier who is called Kathy D and readied to pay my bill after all my items were screened. This cashier was quite "interesting" that she was continuing screening my roommates' items. I told her to separate the bills. I would pay one bill, my roommate would pay another bill. But she continued to mix everything into one bill, saying that she cannot separate bills. YOU (CASHIER) CONNOT SEPERATE THE BILL? She said If I bring a friend, I will be responsible for her bill. She also said, your bank card name should be the same as your memship card name. Extremely interesting, this is the first time I have met this kind of situation. So if customers are paying cash, you guys will exactly track where the cash come from? Check Whether the cash is from the person whose name is on the membership? So you guys will check every customers? More seriously, I've told her one hundred times it Is MY card, she still didn't believe so and behave very rudely. I think she infringed my privicy, she asked to show my bank card, credit card, she even forced my roommate to show bank card to her. It's not a polite manner delivered to a customer who is spending money here. I don't think customers should be treated as a thief, lier, who is being interrogated. I NEED APOLOGIES from this cashier and her manager as well.
The membership says non transferrable on there.
I havent really met a Costco that won't let you "share" a card. She needs to pay in cash or debit though. NO CREDIT CARDS FOR HER.
Have her buy her own.
