long delay in getting order
Arrived at the Dairy Queen in Manteno, Illinois 60950 at 3:44pm. There where 3 customers seated out front. No one at the count. I drove around and a car just left the drive up order board and pulled up to the window. I ordered 2 thick shakes. After 12 minutes the car ahead got his single shake and left. I pulled up and after 7 minutes tapped on the counter. Two minutes later the young girl came up and opened the window. I asked her why the long delay for my drinks as the car ahead only ordered a single shake? She did not answer but slammed the window shut. 4 minutes later she reappeared with my two shakes. I had a $20 in my hand she took that. Made change and handled me my order. I said "Thank You" but she just slammed the window closed again. I was never told the total of my order. Never given a thank you. You can see my being upset. Manteno is a small town of only 10, 000. Watch FaceBook tomorrow when I post this. There are already numerous posts of slow order processing and attitude problem. I will just add to it with what just happened to me. Goodby Dairy Queen and let me tell everyone from now on how you treat customers ! If you care to answer this my email is: [protected]@gmail.com but if Corporate is the same as the local store - I will not wait for an answer.

At 957 pm at the McDowell Avondale Az on 10/1/2017 I attempted to place an order through the drive through. I was met with a automatic message and placed my order. I sat and waited with no reply. I again attempted to place my order. I honked my horn still no one answered. I nicely drove to wondow where a young girl looked at me oddly and i nicely explained I had been attempting to place order bit no one answered. She then stated that her head set was dead. I placed my order of chicken srip meal large drink and parfait. She informed me because I drove atraight to window I would need to drive forward and park “enjoy” my parfait and they would bring my dinner to me.
I paid and proceeded to do just that. I finished my parfait saw that it had been 15 minutes and no one had came and decided to see what was happening. I looked at entrance and several people had door open and talking to employee with mop and bucket so I decided to drive back through drive through. I asked if meal was done and was told they came to find me and I was gone in which I replied no I was there the whole time waiting. I sat in drive theough for approx 5 minutes and decided I was No longer hungry I was tired and just wanted to go home. I got to wondow and handed the young lady my bill and card and told her ot had been over 20 minutes I was tired and just wanted my money back. SHE became MAD and informed me they had cooked my food fresh and 7 minites of my wait was in the drive through. They had brought my food to me. I told her I hd waited over 15 minites before going back to drive thru and 15 minutes should be ample time for food I did not want it please return my money again she went on about the time I spent in drive thru and they make food fresh. I finally said it was enough and did what I did to my geand children when they do not listen I motioned for her to close her mouth. As a grandmother it was instictive I did not feel I needed lectured as a consumer I did not need to be treated rudely and as an adult I did not need to have a young person raise her voice at me over YOUR establishments POOR service. Finally the manager came over and the young lady continued her rude behaiour now ranting on about how rudely My motion to her to be hush ( it was not a nasty motion just putting fingers together and stating enough) and again going on about the 7 minites in line at drive thru in my over 20 minute wait. I asked if that was the manager and the young lady said yes. The manager sold her to go away. She gave me my money and apologized. I am appalled by the behavior I recieved. Poor service is one thing. That happens. I ate my parfait was tired I want s to go home. I did NOT need to be lectured scolded then ranted at by a CHILD. I am a grandmother and beleiev first customer should be right eapecially seeing I was given poor service. I should have been given apology at window not scolded lectured and then BLAME placed on me. So upset. She needs to lose her job. It WAS that bad.

As my Husband and I arrived at Boscobel DQ we noticed the garbage bin, right next to entrance door, overflowing. As we entered. it wasn't busy except a car at the drive up. We ordered our food and sat down. Another couple who entered behind us started to order. As we waited, it to get busy. Walk ins as well as drive up. We waited and then we noticed the couple who was behind us got their order. Ok with that, for maybe they just got frozen treats where we had meals. Then as we waiteded more and our # marker was at the end of the table, in plan view, we saw another couple received their food also, cooked food. Confused on why we didn't get our food yet, we decided to leave. When we approached the counter and said we needed to leave, 2 workers were standing there, one at the drive up window and the other one with her back to us. We then proceeded to tell the we needed to go and we wanted our money back, the girl at the window said, 'Oh, the food was at the warmer there.' This frustrated me, for as many times that food was taken out to the tables, why didn't this girl noticed our number at the table, then check on it, to see if that order was ready. Manager or in charge person did come out to refund our money. Then we went down the road to A&W.
customer service (employee)
My son purchased 2 small blizzards and paid with a $20 after ringing him up the employee only gave him $0.25 back and said he didn't have change for the $20. He never gave my son a receipt either. When I called to find out the employee name I was told they didn't know who was working that night and that the manager wasn't available. So I left my phone number and still haven't received a call.
service
I decided to give this restaurant another chance after ordering the two managers were arguing yelling profanity the General Manager and her husband also a manager I surmised as the topic was their marriage in front of teenage employees and customers alike. They refused to engage customers and orders were slow to receive. I couldn't bare being there so I left without the order or refund. Upon exiting the building and walking towards my vehicle I glanced over at an open gate in the back of restaurant and could strongly smell the odor or marijuana and several employees were encompassed in cloud of smoke. I will never return to this establishment.
all
Received wrong order employee handed me wrong bag of food. Called next day said they would issue me a credit but never did. It's been over a month now. Also, I ordered 4 med blizzards and they were wrong flavor and soup on top. They were busy but still. It's not their money or time thats getting wasted ! I normally don't complain I'm a waitress myself but this was bad especially after calling and them still doing nothing to correct the mistake. I would like my money back please. I work hard for it. 42.18 was my total. Thank you, Jen
service
The employees were being very rude, cussing and being very loud. When you walked up to the counter they all just looked at me like I was bothering them. They were talking about customers and employees while in the building. They messed up one mans order and the cook was being very rude about it. She said “it’s not my fault they decided they changed there order” and all the employees laughed. I didn’t see it very funny. This is the first time I had ever been disappointed by Fitzgerald’s Dairy Queen.
customers service
We arrived at the stephenville, texas dairy queen at 9:30pm on a september 26, 2017, I placed my order, I wanted a #1 burger and instead of a drink I wanted a blizzard, the employee named ryan told me we won't do that, I finally convinced him that he could and would do that. He then proceeded to tell us "we close in 30 minutes" as if to rush us. He also informed us that we could only throw our trash away in a certain can because the other cans had already been cleaned, something that shouldn't be done till after closing anyway. We finally got our food 20 minutes later. After 30 minutes go by and I still have not gotten my blizzard I finally go up to the counter and asked about it, I was rudely told, "I seriously called it out 18 times, i'm not even kidding!" he said that as I watched him finish making my blizzard. He also told us the we had to pay for ranch dressing, we have been to this dairy queen numerous times and they have never charged us for ranch dressing. Ryan had an overall irritated and put out attitude. Worst service I have ever experienced! Ryan needs to be fired because his attitude suggests he is not suited for a customer service position. I couldn't even believe how terrible his attitude was as we watched him be rude to other people as well. This kind of, or lack of, service makes me never want to go back.
customer service
I took my 10 year old son the the Dairy Queen in bardstown ky today, 09/25/17. We placed our at 5:45 pm. We were the only patrons in the restaurant without our food. At 6:10 there was still no sign of our food. I went up to the counter where I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me. There were teenage workers walking around and 3 employees standing at the drive through. Obviously the customer in the drive through was angry because the manager came over and the girl working the drive through called the customer a "b[censor]" to one of the fellow employees. The teenaged boy who was supposed to be cooking was drinking and eating bacon strips in the cooking area. Then one of the teen employees got into an argument with the manager about a new employee manning the front register alone. When the manager finally did come over and acknowledge I was standing there, she did give me a refund. I'm appalled at what I witnessed in the 10 mins I stood there. Needless to say, that while we do love the blizzard and burgers, we will never eat at this DQ again.
attitude from drive thru worker and order wrong
We order 3 regular 1 plain and thought order was wrong because of the price 2 for 5 doesn't add up to 9.53. We asked are you sure that's correct she said yes. Than when we got to the window she had an attitude cause she took order in correcting and argued that we were wrong. I heard everything my bf said and she was wrong. In all my years of dealing with this dairy queen it has always been an issue. I took my debit card back and will no longer be doing business with your location on the business loop in columbia mo and I will be sure to let all my friends know. Thanks and you have a blessed day.
dairy queen
My name is Angie Mayson and me my daughter went to Dairy Queen at 10:30am and I ordered a bbq sandwich and I was told that the bbq had went bad! The service was really bad it took them 30 minuets just to make a hot dog and chicken strips and we was the only customers at this time! The ice cream machine was also down so we couldn’t get any ice cream!
customer service
So I went to Dairy Queen in picayune Mississippi tonight and the manager was yelling at one of the employees. This disturbed the whole restaurant to the point a customer had to tell her to stop and pay attention to the customer in line. There is a time and a place for all that and if I owned the restaurant I would be firing . At this same location I was told a girl was sent home early from work because she did not flip a blizzard upside down and she was scared she was going to lose her job because of it.
employee
On Sept 23 at 7:00 PM, I went to the drive thru and ordered BBQ Bacon Snack Wrap, a large Reese Blizzard and a large Cookie Dough Blizzard. I pulled up, paid and when the employee handed me the Blizzards she only flipped one, which was fine because I could see that they weren't melted. This was at 7:05. At 7:08 they gave me the snack wrap. As I'm pulling out I smelled buffalo sauce, so I knew they gave me the wrong wrap. I pull around to the drive thru again and told them they gave me the wrong wrap and that my Blizzards will melt while waiting for it to be remade. The girl told me to pull around and walk in to get it. I explained that I couldn't because I was then blocked in the drive thru. As I am waiting a male came out and gave me my wrap. He was polite, he stated that the girl had pressed the wrong button and that he was sorry. I explained that I've had the Blizzards for 10 min now and they had melted. He said to go ahead and pull around and he would have them make fresh ones. He then took my wrap and said that he would microwave it because it would be cold by the time they finished my Blizzards. I pulled around and the same girl who had handed me the first Blizzards took the melted ones back. She did not apologize or anything, just grabbed the carrier out of my hand. Two minutes later she hands me the carrier back with the two blizzards and doesn't do the flip, doesn't apologize and just slams the window. The Reese Blizzard looked OK but the Cookie Dough was melted, it looked just like the one I had handed back to her before. So I pull to the front of the building parked and took them inside. I was very upset. I go to the counter and the same girl comes up and I told her that it is melted. She very rudely told me that they melt fast and that it didnt look like that when she handed it to me! I told her all I did was pull around from the drive thru and it shouldn't already be so melted that it pours out almost like milk! She makes another one slams it down on the counter and walked away. No apology from her or the cashier who wrang up the order wrong to begin with. The only employee who did apologize was the young man who brought me the wrap while I waited in the drive thru. I said thank you loudly enough to be heard and left. This level of customer service is unacceptable! This is not the first time I've had a complaint about this location and the rude employees.
food quality
Restaurant located at 8307 St. Rd. 64 Bradenton, FL . The absolute worst grilled chicken sandwich ever. Couldn't cut it with a knife, let alone eat it. $4.29 for completely unedible food. Plus had to pull up and wait for one item with no one else in line. Won't be coming back. Great location, lousy food. Also, no mayo means no mayo. There is really no excuse.
food /dirty
We went to dairy queen last week on the corner of 64th and simms in arvada colorado80004 it was so dirty and the flies there was so many inside the store and they landed in our food we had to throw it away what a waste of 20.00 of mine ice cream was melting out of machine they were saving it and getting more cups as the flies landed in it they were putting it back in the ice cream machine of coarse this is after they charged my visa card someone needs to do something about this store
unsanitary food & bad customer service
drove up to DQ on Nogalitos & corner of Sims st drove to drive thru waiting to order no answer so I drove around to get off, when walking in the dining All employee were sitting eating w the Manager in charge, they all walk behind counter to take order I order my ice cream & while waiting for my order people walked in to order their food & short Hispanic tattoo cook goes to dinning to continue to eat He's Churches Chicken then goes back to kitchen start dropping food orders with out washing he's hands & that includes Manager & pregnant employee on counter. Very unsanitary DQ establishment operation will Never visit this location on 3301 Nogalitos San Antonio t78225 need better experience management to run establishment.
sanitary
Going in to order two small ice cream cones. I watch several employees playing with their mouth or hair then handling food without washing their hands. I went and found a worker and told her I didn't want that lady to touch my cone after playing with her lips and handling money which by the way is the most dirtiest thing. I told her I wanted to talk to a manager. She ended up telling her to wash her hands then manager came to me standing in front of me. Didn't aknowledge who he was. Then he said you need something. He could'nt have been no more than early 20s. He goes back and tells her to wash her hands. She told him she already did but it was a little rinse when I saw her wash her hands. I wish I would have gotten names but never been so disgusted I was appalled by thr whole thing. They should have the person taking money only not handling food as well. Health inspector needs to come in and observe when they are unaware. I'm not one to publicly post negative posting about businesses but if something doesn't change I will. This location is so convient after hockey, we have a tendency to stop after almost every hockey game I don't know if I can bare myself in that store again to be honest. Hope you take this matter serious.
unethical behaviour
My grandson and I went to get Ice cream at 4:07 today 09/15/17 and every time we have gone there he has set on the elephant and nothing been said to him. Today an employee (Shap) that's what I was told his name was. He was very mean, nasty and rude to my grandson and told him to get off he was to big to be sitting on it. Now he did not even ask him how old he was just to get off you are too big, and when I asked him why all he could say is "that's what the signs says". Now the only time it has "age" written on the sign is when it say's # 4. Adult supervision required for any child under the AGE of 5. He then pointed out #3. Children 2 to 6 allowed and then said that it means AGE then it needs to say AGE just like it did on #4. If that is the policy then all the other times and other children something should had been said and to the adult not the child. My grandkids have been taught to respect the adults but that is hard to do when you have someone that was as mean, nasty and rude as he was. My grandson is big for his age but you don't talk to my grandchild like that and think you can get away with it.

wrongful termination
I was just recently fired from the Dairy Queen on S University Blvd. in Mobile, Alabama by the General Manager Clarence De Loach. He had mentioned to our Assistant Managers that he was looking for any reason to fire me. He would tell the other managers that I needed to be in complete uniform and not have my pant legs rolled up. (which was done when the AC broke in the building and he would not get it fixed) He never gave me a verbal warning, never asked me to do or fix anything about my uniform, we were allowed to wear shorts as well so I only assumed rolling my pant leg up mid calf was okay, I also never received a written warning, a write up, or any document of any kind.
So on 9/6/2017 I came in for my night shift, and Mrs. Thelma had been there running the shift before me. I come in she has already switched the drawers, did the deposit, and count the safe. It was my fault for not recounting as I should have.
At the end of the night I got the pay outs for all the drawers, went in the office made my deposit made sure the drawers were $200 then I counted the safe, it was $505. Clarence always told us to write the amount on the envelopes we put the receipts from the payouts in and that is what I did. locked up and went home, the next morning he called me and said he had seen where I counted and asked if i knew anything about where the money went, I had told him no and that all the drawers were $200 exact and that I had not counted the safe after Mrs. Thelma left. He said he was going to go to the bank and do some digging and try to find out where it went. Later on that day he calls back saying that the authorities are getting involved to watch the cameras to see who took it, proceeding with telling me that the paper trail ended with me and that I was responsible for this missing $100. I told him that I did not take that money and he could watch the tapes all day long and see that I did not. He said that he would have me arrested if I did not put the $100 back. Mind you I am a 23 year old female single parent working at a Dairy Queen as a "Shift Lead - Manager" that did not get paid a Shift Lead - Manager hourly pay OR have proper training for. Clarence just threw that job at me, he never made me watch any videos for knowledge or go over anything with me. I go into work Saturday and give the $100 of my hard earned money to the assistant manager for her to do with what they had to. I was told by Clarence that I could not work there and had to leave until the investigation was over. The next morning he calls to tell me I am no longer employed with them. I called HR to ask how do I receive my christmas fund money and she told me that the computer did not state I was terminated but it would be on my next check. So I got her to leave a message for Mr. Rusty to talk to him about this termination. He said that it was my fault for not following procedures by counting the safe when i first got there which is true, but when i told him Clarence threatened to have me arrested whether i took it or not he denied that. Rusty also told me that they did not need evidence that I took the money to fire me just that it came up missing on the shift when i was there. Again i was being treated as a manager and was not properly trained or paid as such. Clarence turns his phone on do not disturb after about 9 pm so there is no way of reaching him at night rusty said there should have been more ways i could have reported the missing money like calling clarence, or emailing people. clarence also never informed me of any persons email that i should contact if this problem were to have ever arose prior to this. I have paperwork and documents showing clarence emailing HR trying to obtain counseling forms with as much information as possible to be able to prevent me from filing unemployment. i ALSO have documents showing where the stores overages were $283 a week after that incident with the hundred dollars. doesnt add up
also, like I stated in my previous complaint, i never received any type of warning for anything. then out of no where there are 3 that he sat down and wrote all the same day typing different dates on them. 2 of which are for the same exact thing and only the one time it happened so that technically only counts as one right up not two, also i did not sign any of these so i was unaware of them and did not go over the consequences and further action that would take place had they happened again. Clarence did not inform me of any of this because he was wanting to get rid of me already, so he just made this his green light and went with it.
Clarence obviously does not know what it is like working there, especially at night because he is never there working at all. He comes in every now and then does inventory, the truck order, make a mess leave boxes everywhere for us to clean up and have to take out, he will lock himself in the office when we are under staffed and have a line wrapped around the building. So he must not get how it really is working there and closing that place every night
unethical behavior
On Sept. 15th 2017 at 12:32pm I was in the drive thru of the DQ located at 4902 Brownsboro Rd in Louisville, KY. As I pulled up to the drive thru line there were currently tow cars ahead of me( A white cargo van and a navy Nissan Altima), I thought to myself YAY, I'll be back to the office faster than I though. I was so wrong! I waited in for about 10 mins before it was finally my turn to order. As I pull up I hear a lot of background commotion coming from the speaker. I patiently wait, until she asks what I want. As I attempt to order the speaker cuts off and I'm left with dead air. Then she comes back on and I wait for her to tell me to go ahead. However, all I hear next is OH MY GOD, I CANT F***ing do this S***! And I say excuse me! The speaker goes silent again. Then about a minute later she comes back on and tells me to go ahead with my order. I say I have two orders, and order the first. She tells me the total and says "go on with the second", I ask her to read it back to me(since they seem to be having major issues) she huffs and then reads it back WRONG! I correct her and then go on with my second order($5 chicken strip lunch with onion rings in sub of fries and a side of honey mustard and gravy) to this order I get "Are you F***ing serious? I can't! OH MY GOD!"
At this point I am beyond upset and I ask if there is a manager I can speak to...dead air. So I pull out of line, park and go inside. I ask if there is a manager available to which the girl(drive thru head set on) laughs at me and points aimlessly to a older man behind the ice cream making station. After a few mins he comes over and I explain how I was cursed at and the OMG's that were spewed as well. He casually apologizes and says he'll 'talk to her' and wait for more and that all I get. I ask if that's it and he ask me what I want him to do, he cant send her home because they're swamped. I thanked him for his 'help'.
I would like for this employee to be terminated or atleast reprimanded at the very least. I mean I have NEVER had an experience like this before! It's outrageous and quite frankly unacceptable!
I have attached a video.
