broken equipment. bad everything
We have been going to this Dairy Queen for the last few years and each time the chocolate ice cream machine is down. This has been each and every time. It doesn't keep breaking down, it just has never been fixed. In the summer time it is horribly hot so it's obvious the air conditioning is not working and hasn't been for 4 years. I feel bad for the kids working. There is nothing positive to say about this place. It's bad. They are using old Grease in the fryers also.

We eat at this location a couple of times per month after Sunday church. About a month ago, my order was messed up and the lady who waited on us gave me a $5 buck lunch certificate and said the manager said to have lunch on them the next time we were in. She was very nice.
Last night around 5:15 (July 11), I went thru the drive-thru to take home supper. I said I had the free coupon and I placed my order for the replacement and an additional dinner. I was told to pull to the window for my total. When I got there, Ashley (red headed and said she was a manager), she declined to honor the coupon and then had me wait while she talked to the owner and he also declined the coupon. She was extremely rude and we did argue. Finally I told her that I would pay for both meals and she couldn't even find the order I had placed at the speaker. By now, there was a line of cars waiting behind me (which she also said she my fault). I gave her the order again and handed her the full payment. I told her that I was going to file a complaint with corporate and that she was very unprofessional. She glared at me then stuck the money back out the window. I asked her why and she said she would not prepare my food and for me to leave. I was totally shocked! I told her that she was going to serve me because I had done nothing wrong and she had treated me rudely and with total disrespect. She continued to hold the money back out to me and said if I didn't leave she would call the police! I have NEVER been treated that way ever! People from our church frequent this location all the time and I will be sure to let them know. I am a Christian and I was not lying about that coupon. It is a total disgrace how she treated me! While in Blanco Texas we decided to stop at the local DQ. I've been a life long customer. This visit was less than spectacular. Not only did we wait 5 minutes before being acknowledged but our order was completely wrong. When we brought it to the attention of the employees they were less than pleased that they had to remake the meal. When it came time to eat the food our fries were stale, cold, and hard. Terrible experience. I will not be returning.

We were passing through Medicine Hat on our 8 hour drive home. All of our food was cold, old, and obviously had been sitting for quite some time. In a 6 peice chicken strip basket one of the strips was not much larger than a loonie. We had 3 orders of strips and all of them were quite small like that. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed with food before. If we hadn't already left the city, I would have gone back and returned it.

we went to centre st DQ in Calgary with a 20.00 gift card and our order was 2 7.00 special and we told our card was only for 5.35 & had to pay 9.70 which we said was impossible but was told that was right, so I phoned & was told they put the transaction through 2 times. Centre st texted us this A.M. & told us they were right, (but were wrong) so when I text them they said to come in this afternoon between 1-3 which we had to drive all the way there to get a 15, 00 gift card which I thought they could have at least could have given us at least 20.00 for the inconvenience they caused us. Very disappointing with your company, to tell us we were the ones wrong,
went to DQ July 9th 2017 with gift card & were told there was only $5.30 on our card & we had to pay $9.70 which we told them was not right as it was a $20.00 gift card. We had to pay & they would text us this A, M. which they said they were right, (but were wrong) as they put the transaction through2 times last night. I phoned the 1800 # and were told it was there fault. so text them and were told to come in to there store between 1-3 which we did as an inconvience to us only to get a 15.00 gift card. I thought this was a really poor judgement on there part as they could have at least made it for 20.00, very disappointed.

Tonight I went out to buy an ice cream for me and my boyfriend. A male worker stood by the cash register, so I walked up. He was too busy talking to a female co-worker, both of them noticing me but not helping me. He doesn't bother to listen to my order, looking bored, both of them offended for me wanting to order and interrupting their flirting. He doesn't give me my receipt, throwing something at the girl. So I wait, she comes over. She gives me my receipt with attitude. I sit down and wait, the place isn't very crowded. 15 minutes pass and I still don't have my order. So I walk back over and calmly ask for my order, people who poured in after us have already been served and left. The girl turns to another girl worker and tells her about me in front of me, every worker acting like I'm causing such a fuss. After five more minutes I finally have my order and an apology. I am very displeased that your workers can't be bothered to do their jobs, and instead have plenty of time for horse play. As well they have time to gossip and complain about customers to their faces. This has been my experience at the Rockingham Diary Queen in North Carolina.

My husband and I used the drive through service at this location and the person taking our order didn't confirm our order back to us and replied with an unintelligible grunt to drive up to the window. The person at the window didn't greet us and left the window open as we waited 20 mins for our order which came out incorrect. We ordered two 6-piece chicken fingers, not the combo and the order received was two 2-piece chicken finger combos for which we were charged for the 6-pieces. We went back in to correct the order and were met with the excuse that we were given the value combo, but we were still charged for two 6-piece meals. additionally, there was no apology and the person who messed up the order originally served the order with a scowl. Terrible customer service. Several other patrons were expressing frustration with their orders making me think there are serious issues at this particular DQ. We won't be revisiting

While i was visiting the river center mall in San Antonio, the DQ worker and manager that were on duty on Sunday july 9 at the food court were very disrespectful. The order was wrong because I asked for 1 strawberry and 2 chocolate sundays and they made 3 strawberry sundays and when i told the lady about it she said that that was the order on the screen and couldnt do anything about it..When I told her that I needed to speak with the manager to fix my order, the worker said she didn't care. When the manager was called, the manager was also very rude saying that our sundays had too much icecream and weighed too much. She made us 2 chocolate sundays with very little icecream and said she was going to give usthe strawberry sunday that was previously made. When I told her it was ok, she said "it was not ok because it had too much icecream but oh well I am going to give it to you anyways this time." I was offended with her comments. I will not return to that DQ. Very disappointed with service!

I encountered a very rude employee female who was giving smart remarks and telling other employees about me while I was waiting in drive threw she knows nothing about me I am a customer and she does not need to act like a child I am ready to publish a comment on the local newspaper I will not be returning to dairyqueen.
salted caramel blondie blizzard
Please stop putting toffee in caramel blizzards. I love caramel, so I ordered the new Blondie Blizzard today, the toffee in the blizzard absolutely ruins it and I cannot eat more than half of the small and most of it is melted so I drank the soup and filtered out the toffee. The ingredients to the Blondie were not listed at the DQ I ordered at, otherwise I would have ordered it without the toffee. Please, either stop using it in the blizzards, make it a question they ask at the register, or list the ingredients underneath.

My three friends and I were heading to the local DQ in Tracy Minnesota at 8:37 p.m. To grab some food. People were inside dining and workers were present. We went to open one of the doors and it was locked. My friend had to open the drive thru window door just to get a workers attention because they wouldn't acknowledge us outside. They open the door and said, " we aren't serving food it's too late just ice cream." This DQ in Tracy doesn't have hours posted and closes early and at random times which is unfair to us the customer. They then also told us we should have came earlier, but it was only 8:43 p.m. At the time so they weren't closed for another 17 minutes. When we told her (the owner of the building) that that isn't right and she can't set her own hours as she feels and is convenient to her she responded with, "I own this building, I own 10% and can do whatever I want." "This is family owned and i can set my own hours." This has been going on for at least 4-5 years. Hot days/after school when we want ice cream or food it will/has been closed at 12 in the afternoon because she didn't want to open it. My friends and I along with many others are tired of the laziness, and poor managent at the Tracy, Minnesota Dairy Queen and hope some changes will be made.
the quality of the blizzards we ordered and the customer service
Tonight my friend and I went to the DQ #10711 located at 8316 North Telegraph road. Let me premise this by saying I have been getting ice cream from DQ all of my life and this was the worst experience I have had both in the quality of the blizzard and the customer service. We ordered 2 small blizzards and sundae. The heath blizzard was given to us 3/4 of the cup full and we asked them to fill it to the top as most blizzard are served over the top. The girl kind of argued that it was normal but we argued and she added the ice cream. The banana split blizzard came to me partially melted which honestly I did not realized until I got into my car. The girl nor the guy making the blizzards tipped either one to show the density and when I called them out on it they told me I did not get them free. I am not sure if that is still your policy but I saw them do it with the other people's order... I have to say I will not be going back to that location and neither will my friend.

Last the few times I've been to the dariy queen on 72nd and maple in Omaha Nebraska I've order the strawberry cheesecake blizzard because it's my favorite. However there has not been any cheesecake or only a chuck or two in it the last few times. So today when I went, I asked for and paid for extra cheesecake yet there wasn't a single chuck in my entire medium blizzard. Either tell me you are out of cheesecake so I can order something else or put cheesecake in my blizzard.

I am highly disappointed that the snickers blizzard has been discontinued in North Carolina. Not sure about other states. Snickers is by far my favorite blizzard and used to get them frequently. Please consider bringing them back. Why get rid of a favorite to keep some of the least favorite flavors? Makes no sense to me. Will not be visiting Dairy Queen as much anymore unless I'm craving a peanut butter parfait and if you take those away I'll take my business elsewhere. Truly disappointed with this.
triple truffle blizzard
On June 1, 2017, I purchased two small triple truffle blizzards at the Woodstock Ontario location. It was pouring rain outside, so I asked for lids to protect them, expecting that Dairy Queen would have dome lids. They did NOT use dome lids, and consequently scraped off a fair portion of both blizzards. Had I known in advance that I was going to lose that much of my purchase, I would have eaten some out of each beforehand. I spent $9.70 for a treat which is usually what I spend on ice cream in three months at the grocery store! I am hoping for reimbursement for at least one of the ones I bought, which, by the way, were incredibly tasty and therefore more of a shame to have some thrown away by an employee.

My family stopped in for lunch and wanted to pay with a gift card. The gift credit card machine would not take the card. The cashier tried many times to swipe the card with no success. She went and told the manager and he said the magnetic strip was bad and there was nothing he could do and we had to pay with some other form of payment. We paid and while waiting for our food, my sister calls the help number on the back of the card and the customer service rep said that the card was good and that all the cashier or manager had to do was talk to them and they would take care of it. When the manager delivered our food we told him this and he proceeded to tell us that their company policy did not allow them to call the number and take care of the problem. What kind of company policy does not allow your manager to take care of a customer problem? We were NOT happy and he left the table. He then came back about 5 minutes later and asked us for the card. He comes back with a new card and explains that he called and got the balance switched to a new card that the strip works on. OK, so he can call the gift card help line and do this but not help us pay for the meal with the card? He did not even apologize for the trouble and left.
Our meal was $30 but I am not requesting a refund or anything for free. I want the store to get it's stuff together so they can take care of a customers problem. This is not the way customer service should work.

Went to get ice cream last night, ordered 2 sundaes and a blizzard. The blizzard was runny and not flipped for us. When I asked for a certificate, the drive thru girl looked at me like she didn't care. I asked for manager and he didn't care either. I had to push him to replace my blizzard. Customer Service was poor and they were both rude to my children and I.

Ajax location - ordered many cakes there, never a problem. Ordered my sons graduation cake for yet another occasion and it was freezer burnt and had no taste. No one ate the cake it was awful. Left the cake at my moms house. When I went to complain told her never had a complaint about the dozens upon dozens of cakes I bought but this one. That should have been enough. She want s me to drive back twenty minutes away to pick up a cake to prove freezer burnt. Ridiculous! I told her the fast was awful. For someone who never complained about ur product that should have been enough. Poor poor customer service. This will result in me never buying from here again. Being a bakery manager myself, I know never disappoint especially a regular customer. People cannot afford to throw away 42 dollars on a cake and that's exactly what I did

Just came home from visiting the Dairy Queen in town. My husband and I ordered hamburgers. His was a number 4 1/2 gb w/chz and I got a mushroom and Swiss. When we arrived home and started to eat he noticed there was a greenish blue mold spot on his bun. Upon further inspection, we realized that it WAS mold! This is unacceptable and quite gross. We chose to go to Dairy Queen amongst the other options we had in our town mostly because we wanted to get a blizzard and decided to just get a meal there too. We spent in total $23.91 for our meals plus two blizzards only to come home and have moldy bread. While mine was mold free I completely lost my appetite.

My brother ordered a cake for my mom's birthday at the Fort mill, sc location. When he called them they said I could pick it up at the drive thru. Keep in mind I have three kids 7, 5, 2 and they usually fall asleep when heading to my brothers house. I live about an hour away from him so this typically happens and it happened today when going to pick up the cake. When I pulled up to the drive thru they told me I can't pick up cakes at the drive thru. The cake was already ordered and ready to go. The gentlemen said it's company policy not to hand out cakes through th drive thru. I said ok I can pay for it here and someone can meet me at my car so I don't have to wake them up. Still refused to help a mom out. I had to wake up two of my kids to pick up the cake.in a world where customer service is highly valued I was highly disappointed today with this Dairy Queen. I understand there are rules set forth (which someone working there didn't know apparently and informed my brother wrong) but sometimes there are certain circumstances where rules are changed. I'm still having trouble understanding why this is even a policy. I had to wait five minutes for the lady in front of me to get her food made. The she is already made and just needs to be handed out. I hope you consider how inconvenient this policy was for me today.
