no refund, rude customer service
I'm on Day 112 of my (never-arrived) order. Around Day 70 I requested a Paypal refund, on Day 93 they offered me a refund and told me it would take 1-2 weeks because I had taken over 90 days(!), on Day 98 they asked me which email address I'd like my refund to be sent (!), and today I thought I'd find out why I don't have my refund. As they've closed my ticket, I've used Live Chat and been given "Starck" as an operator. I'm cutting out the part of the conversation where they told me my package had not been lost, but returned to them (as their English made the final fate of the parcel quite ambiguous).

A COMPLETELY SCAM! I've waiting for long two months and purchase was never received. They $#*!ed me around begging me to wait for two, four, six more days. They barefaced lied on my face saying they are still tracking an untrackable order as it was allegedly mailed by simple Chinese courier. I am supposed to be patient and take all the actions while they give me no positive answer. I have finally decided to quit my claim and express my opinion in different consumer's opinion websites. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. DISCARD THIS FAKE COMPANY

usage of unethical practice towards customers
Received a dead on arrival device from DealExtreme. Thus open a ticket to request for exchange. The CS person was not helpful, asking me to get it repaired locally and the repair fee will only be refunded if they find it reasonable. I asked why can't the item be replaced instead or refunded even. The CS person still insist on repairing locally which is when I open dispute over the transaction with them in Paypal.
After I opened dispute, the CS person suddenly asked me to send the item back to them and gave me a RMA ticket to print out. She said that the postage charge will be refunded to me together with the defective item price once they received proof of my sending. After I sent through registered mail, and gave them evidences of the shipment, they gave me this "Close dispute if you want your money back." I said "No. You can refund me through the dispute and close it yourself." and the same old "Close dispute if you want your money back."
This was when the BS began. The CS person then explained that they can't refund me the money because the transaction is being disputed, thus Paypal don't allow them to. I was of course surprised about this information as being such a long time online shopper and user of Paypal, I have never knew of such problems, and all my seller always settle and close the dispute themselves by refunding etc. I called Paypal and they advised me to escalate instead. They told me there is no such thing and warn me against closing the dispute as I may never get back my money if I close it.
I therefore escalate it and told DealExtreme about what paypal told me to tell them to do. They never do anything except the same old "Close dispute if you want your money back." That's when I replied with a "Ok. Let Paypal decide on you giving me the refund then." and I stopped responding to the ticket. Their reply was "Sorry. Why you don't trust us?"
I had goggled around to see what is the reputation on DealExtreme regarding refunding. They most seldom do. They always asked people to close dispute just to get refund and the people who did close the dispute thinking that DealExtreme can be trusted, never ever got their items nor their money back. Thus I am warning all against this type of unethical practice of DealExtreme.
Also it doesn't method you post to their forum as your post will be instantly deleted. It is amazing how their response to bad review is so fast and yet their response to tickets and refunds are so slow. Think about it if you decide to purchase from them.
I believe any website who hires people to spam the boards are as lousy as DealExtreme. Thus I will advise people not to go to such a website too.
I am waiting from 24/8/2012 for my order.

Sell counterfeit items without making clear that is what they are doing. Offer no support if the items are seized by customs as a result. Moderate their forums so that if you point out that an item is a counterfeit the post gets deleted.
I have ordered and paid for products already in January this year. They still did not deliver the product and refuse to refund me. They do not help you on their chat or ticket services. They take your money and you will never see your order or your money again. Every time I contact them they want me to wait another couple of weeks.

Worst experience ever buying with them.
Bought a mobile phone wrist watch from them, delieverd on time but it was defective. I told raised a ticket with them telling them about this and first they said oh can you get it repaired locally (like WTF), it's a new item why do I have to get it repaired. Then they said can you send it back to the address (as I am in UK so they give me a UK address to send it back to). Sent the item back and they said they'll pay me the postage charges as well.
They got the item and then said oh do you want us to send you a replacement and keep the postage charges as a store credit. I said to them No I don't want to do this, I asked them to send me another item which will cover my total cost that I have paid them so far (original item price + postage charges). That item costed a few more dollars extra then my toal cost which they rejected and said we have refunded your original item but for the postage charges I have to wait for three weeks to be refunded. Seriously stupid, like why do I have to wait for my own money back.

I just experienced a similar case that ended today.
I had an undelivered order for over 2month now. Order made 2013, sept.23th and left China on 2013, Oct. 6th, since then, no trace of my order and DX.com won't admit the package is lost.
I opened a ticket on Nov. 1st, with DX.com and for 3 weeks and they kept saying, sorries and to wait more days, ... wait more days.
On the side I opened a dispute with paypal and got a full refund from paypal.
No more DX.com for me, they are banned for life + 20 years.
WORST customer service EVER !
At least you got your money back. I have to open Paypal dispute and escalate upwards to get Paypal to get my money back. and for your postage charges, I doubt you will ever get it back. Seriously, search around. I got back my postage charges through Paypal disputes too.
item never received
I ordered an item on 25 November 2012, received an email from Dealextreme saying it was paid for and sent on 26 November, but as of 22 January 2013 have not received it. I have contacted them a number of times and have always been asked to wait a little longer to see if it arrives. I have asked for my money back but that has been refused. I now realise I will never get the item, nor my money, and I believe this company to be doing this not only to me, but to many others, after having read some reviews on the web. Somehow these types of companies must be more easily identifiable of they will continue to scam customers.

Never had an issue with DX.com to be honest. Now there was one delayed package...around the same time as yours. But if anyone knows anything about 'missing in the post' then you'd know that post office services are legally responsible for goods until they are delivered. In other words these are not your goods until you have them. Any issues until you get them are between the vendor and the postal service. So you never owned those products and DX can confirm this as the item never entered your postal district and this is trackable.
When you point that out to any vendor they will give you a credit or refund because they and you know they can claim against the post service. DX.com is a large company, they are running a pretty long time. They know full well they can claim against chinapost or EMS or whatever and because of the high volume of orders they probably end up claiming a lot. I pointed it out, they offered a refund, or repost, I asked for a repost... then the next day or the day after the items arrived. Late for Xmas but arrived.
When I pointed out the trackable items never got to me and they could confirm it they offered me a credit or refund. Since you have an account try it, you'll get a refund.
Its probably not the best tactic to use your on personal experience once with a company to paste them with the 'scam' brush. Especially one that is the Chinese answer to a cheap skate amazon.
Anyway, yes post will be searched outgoing and incoming. China searches outgoing as well as incoming post and they are bloody anal about it. Their postal service has had an explosive growth in the past decade and clearly they are under a lot of pressure to keep up... I think falling apart under the strain would be more apt. So post will be delayed, but you do get a tracking number and can track these things online.

"For anybody out there that's even thinking of purchasing from DX.COM, I cant emphasis this enough. STAY THE F AWAY FROM DX.COM! They are calculating thieves of the highest order! My misfortune with DX.COM (which by the way should be a synonym for taking theft to new artistic levels) began on 10th October, when I placed an order for goods to the value of $243. You think those goods have arrived, hell no.! To begin with the key items in my order where apparently out of stock (do you think these items where listed as out of stock, no, they just let you purchase them anyways..) that was the first clue that I'm about to get ripped off. Only after following up post 14day silence, with nobody informing me that the items I purchased are out of stock, did I get a response/update stating that they out of stock, do I want to wait or. Then as if that's not enough, I get a msg from them stating that my items have been shipped expect for the ones out of stock, Im also issued with a tracking number for Singpost, except the tracking number does not track anything. How do I know this? I know this because I sent a mail to Singpost requesting their confirmation of that they have received the items as when I enter the tracking number I get this message, "31-10-2012 INFORMATION RECEIVED (This is not an acknowledgment of the physical receipt of the stated Registered Article) . Singpost responded stating, " Please be advised that Singpost have just received an acknowledgement from the online merchant to deliver the article in Singapore. However, we have not received the article. For further information, contact the sender. " When I inquired with DX as to why the item has not been sent to Singpost for shipping to myself yet, they said, ohh, no, don't worry, it takes longer than a few days to have the item sent there, or something stupid to that effect. Since then I've searched the web, looking for complaints related to DX.com, and now this is a woper. Most of the complaints about DX.COM follow similar patterns. These patterns of deception that characterize DX.COM as an international thievery corporation, lets you think you purchasing actual items, takes your money, pretends that there is some delay in the shipment along the way, then there is the back and forthing which continues until frankly you just give up hope on some sought of favorable resolution! Quite frankly, this is why I will never, never, never purchase from China again. DX.COM sets a terrible precedent for ethical business standards not to mention incredibly bad customer service! On Oct 1 I ordered a wireless keyboard from this company….did not receive order until Oct 30 …the original had been opened and when I tried to use the merchandise the letter(o) on the keyboard did not work…..when I tried to contact customer service…it referred me back to a web page…asking about information I knew nothing about…also asking to take photos of the product as well as repackaging the product, ..ship it back to Hong Kong…All at my expense for a replacement…Im looking at another possible 60 days round trip….not worth it….Ive learned my lesson shop in the USA if a product has a defect there is always customer service And in (5) business days youre back in business…

I bought a product by web because of low price. I waited patiently and when it reached the post office, I had to pay an additional tax. In my home, I plugged the mobile to charge, but in one hour charging, the phone gave no response, flasher or display don't turn on. I am now looking for a way to refund.
For anybody out there that's even thinking of purchasing from DX.COM, I cant emphasis this enough. STAY THE F AWAY FROM DX.COM! They are calculating thieves of the highest order! My misfortune with DX.COM (which by the way should be a synonym for taking theft to new artistic levels) began on 10th October, when I placed an order for goods to the value of $243. You think those goods have arrived, hell no.! To begin with the key items in my order where apparently out of stock (do you think these items where listed as out of stock, no, they just let you purchase them anyways..) that was the first clue that I'm about to get ripped off. Only after following up post 14day silence, with nobody informing me that the items I purchased are out of stock, did I get a response/update stating that they out of stock, do I want to wait or. Being somebody that grants the privilege and benefit of doubt, I gave them 6 item list to perhaps replace the purchased items that where out of stock. And guess, what, they only had two of the six items in stock, so basically they list items on their website that they just don't f#$%ing have, at all, for you the unwitting consumer to purchase! Then as if that's not enough, I get a msg from them stating that my items have been shipped expect for the ones out of stock, Im also issued with a tracking number for Singpost, except the tracking number does not track anything. How do I know this? I know this because I sent a mail to Singpost requesting their confirmation of that they have received the items as when I enter the tracking number I get this message, "31-10-2012 INFORMATION RECEIVED (This is not an acknowledgment of the physical receipt of the stated Registered Article) . Singpost responded stating, " Please be advised that Singpost have just received an acknowledgement from the online merchant to deliver the article in Singapore. However, we have not received the article. For further information, contact the sender. " When I inquired with DX as to why the item has not been sent to Singpost for shipping to myself yet, they said, ohh, no, don't worry, it takes longer than a few days to have the item sent there, or something stupid to that effect. Since then I've searched the web, looking for complaints related to DX.com, and now this is a woper. Most of the complaints about DX.COM follow similar patterns. These patterns of deception that characterize DX.COM as an international thievery corporation, lets you think you purchasing actual items, takes your money, pretends that there is some delay in the shipment along the way, then there is the back and forthing which continues until frankly you just give up hope on some sought of favorable resolution! Quite frankly, this is why I will never, never, never purchase from China again. DX.COM sets a terrible precedent for ethical business standards not to mention incredibly bad customer service! Here's an idea DX.COM, why don't you people re-register yourselves as dontexpectnottobeconned.com.
DX is a cheap Chinese goods selling company, there are several grades of goods produced in China, DX takes the worst of them and sells it cheaply over the net. Ask me I will tell you because I am a victim of their rubbish goods twice and they don't refund the shipping cost fully. On the 3rd of October I ordered many items as birthday presents. i bought 5 x iphone 5 cable and since it was in bulk i had to pay registered mail fee, and since i was already paying for a registered mail, i added 4+ more items. It was in processing stage for 7 days till i sent an email to them. They gave a lame excuse then told me my iphone 5 cables were out of stock, but they have already shipped them. So i told them to cancel my COMPLETE order and give me a full refund. they told me i could only get the full refund after i shipped it back to them.
why do i as the customer have to clean up the messed they created while misleading me into purchasing with them?
1. They sold me an out of stock item which i have already made payment for 1 week prior
2. Then they continued to charge me the registered fee.
3. Before they confirmed with me if i wanted to cancell the complete order they went ahead to send me the in stock good without mt approval.
4. i told them they could retreve the package with whoever they are using, they told me to ship it back to them then i would recieve my full refund.
In summary, they charged me full price (incl reg mail), then they told me sold out and sent me the rest of the items without my approval. And even till now, the "remainding stock' has still not arrived!
A complete joke the way things have turned up!

Deal extreme sucks! After the 45 day paypal complaint period, you can no longer contact dealextreme customer service to resolve the problem. I ordered 2 items and only got 1. I'm out $25. If you attempt to log in to customer service after 45 days of purchase, you get "the page is temporarily unavailable" do not buy from dealextreme!

I ordered $5 worth of small items on there. I received an email saying it was backordered and they did not know when they would get more. Not wanting to wait for and indefinite amount of time, I canceled my order, expecting a refund. They canceled the order, but never issued a refund. It's only $5, so I won't cry. But, they did steal my money, and despite I do know people that have EVENTUALLY gotten items from them, I will not purchase again, since technically, they did STEAL $5 from me. Why would I trust them?

On February 4th I ordered 2 SD cards & paid using Paypal. Dealextreme promised me a delivery in maximum 2 weeks.
On march 5th, a month after paying the goods I still had nothing at my door so I started a claim on Paypal. After that I got this email from DX:
Dear customer,
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. But we can not refund you because you have opened a dispute, in that case we can not operate your order, So would you please close the dispute firstly? Then tell us, we will refund you ASAP.
I was stupid enough to believe them & cancelled my claim at paypal.
That was the worse thing that I should have done because now, march 28th, I still have nothing.
Only thing I received was some corrupt email from DX:

Kindly inform you that your order was shipped on with tracking number RT130385554HK .The status of tracking number will not update so soon.
If after 4 weeks from shipment the order still doesn't arrive, you may contact us and we will follow up on the package.

If I check the tracking, item was not send on 2/23/2012 but on March 10th.
Today I still have nothing in my mailbox & did not receive any goods.
Be careful who you do business with because a company like Dealextreme is far away & I costs you a lot of money arguing on the phone.
I forgot to say that I got my money back because Paypal give it back to me, not that they refund me on their own accord.
I was met with the same thing. But lucky for me, when they asked me to close the dispute, I told them no and to ask them to refund me through the dispute. After which they tried to BS their way through by saying that Paypal doesn't allow it. I was surprised to hear that and made a call to Paypal for confirmation. After the call, I did what Paypal asked me to do, "You should escalate the claim and ask them for partial refund. They will be able to refund by that."
Thus I escalated and got my money back.
I think they use the same ruse on every customer asking for refund. "Close the dispute and we will refund ASAP." which they had never once fulfill their promise. You can google around and read all about it. Most closed the dispute and never got back their money nor their items.
Dealextreme are a extremely bad deal customer service is useless...I would urge people to avoid them like a plague!

I ordered a 3 products from dealextreme which arrived with two of the items missing. I sent them a complaint to their customer service dept and after a few days they responded. We went back and forth with them requesting that I go to the post office to see if they took the items, all their requests I did. In the end they offered me a store credit. I told them to please just send me the items I ordered which they said they would. I was notified by email that my order was shipped on 1/31/12 and would take up to 7 to 10 business days to arrive. After 14 days with no arrival, I sent another complaint to them with no reply as of this date 2/24/12. Now 18 business days with no shipment and no reply to my complaint as of yet.

Well the customer service in DealExtreme is bullcrap from the deepest levels of hell. Ordered 31.1.2012, they could not send the package (backorder) so I asked for some info to keep me posted. 1 week passed, nothing. 2 weeks passed, nothing and during that time I opened a few customer service tickets. I cancelled the order, but gave DX 24 hours to give me ANY info on this matter to save the order. Wanna guess how fast I received the info? Well.. until this day it haven't arrived so its a little more than 3 days and counting. Order is now cancelled, money haven't been refunded yet, well that didn't surprise me whoopdi doo. I wasn't like I bought one small product, so I think it would interest DX to even answer to the customer and keep em posted.
I wrote a review about the items I ordered and basically told the same thing as above in the review. That review got declined by DX pretty fast, but still nothing towards the customer. I am doing my part and telling every friend and every guy in the boards I hang in to avoid DX and I hope DX loses at least some customers that they don't deserve.

Never been able to provide me a tracking number when i ask for since i did not receive my purchase, instead i was told to pay extra $5 either for my purchase to resent or cancellation of order. I wrote email that i am not agreeable to it and i never get any reply and my money had never been refunded even till now since sept 2011.
This is the first time and will be the last i will buy from dealextreme,

Were same with me.. they SCAM US! Trust me! I had ask for dispute via PayPal but this evil DX not reply anything until now since 6/2/2012.. and without any authorization they put 'canceled' to the status after they suck mmy money.! My first order was done using direct VISA (no PayPal), the payment was successfully completed but they hold my order and asking me few sensitive document such as a photo of my VISA, my ID...this is weird! so I refused to do that! And they hold my order. I asked them for refund, but they tricked me by a FAKE refund. I got refunded at 1 Feb 2012 but at the same day they charged back my VISA without my authorization nor acknowledgement. I just realized that was 'unknown' transaction with the same amount of the refund value when I called my issuer bank of VISA, they confirmed that amount was charged bt Dealextreme.com! UNAUTHORIZED!
I'm really disappointed! No body can't stop them from do a fake business and sucking money illegally from customers! At their customer FORUM, they blocked me from posting my complaint and telling others about their SCAMMING, and so many fake 'customers' at the same date that show 'solved' issues-no recently posted REAL customers that i read before! They will delete it after a moment!

I have the same problems in the Netherlands: My first four orders arrived. After that I made the mistake place five more sepperate orders. The orders did not arrive. A few orders where according to the tracking of dealextreme "send back"". Another order arrived according to their tracking system but it did not arrive at all. First I contacted Dealextreme but the only advice they gave me was to wait. A few orders were already two months on the way. Normally you can via a tracking system see were the delivery is on hold or were a mistake is made. However Dealextreme is not able to track anything by there sol called "tracking system''. After I told them that I was going to file a claim with Paypall I got e-mails that they creditited the money to my Paypall account. You can already gues, nothing was credited at all. I filed five claims with Paypal but only three were accepted because the other orders were done more than 45 days ago. And that is exactly what Dealextreme is aiming for. They try to let you wait more than 45 days and after that... your money is gone. I have job and I did not lose hundreds of dollars. My advise: Do not order from Dealextreme!
Exactly the same story for me: I never received my orders (only the first 3 orders) despite the tracking numer you could not see what was going wrong with the shipment. According to the trackingnumber the item arrived at my home country but where it arrived was not possible to see. On one ocasion the item was send back (reason and location unknown) they asked me to pay 5 dollar for the resend. On two other orders the item was for some reason not possible to deliver despite the fact that there was always somebody at my home. Our local post company did not know about any package from Deal Extreme. Deal Extreme also put the responsibillity of the shipment by me and never took any action to deliver to me what I paid for. I made the mistake to place more orders after I received the first 3 orders. Never again Deal Extreme!

iv placed alot of big orders with dealextreme drop shipping and now because of them agreeing my last orders have been took by customs and confiscated which they now refunded me for my paypal account has now been banned!
now because my first orders going back almost 5 months now still has not been delivered and the tracking is showing the same progress and the orders they refunded me for because of customs confiscating them it does not take much understanding that all my other orders that i have placed that have not been delivered have also been confiscated by customs!
iv had to refund all my buyers by paypal because they have not recieved there items i bought from dealextreme i just want them to refund me for all items that have been confiscated by customs which i may add is everyone of my orders!

It's more than two months that I haven't received one of the stuff that I ordered from this seller. the customer services are too slow to respond and they are just deceitful. they keep asking me to wait for a couple of days, but the stuff is not yet arrived until this day, no tracking system, no information about the good. I purchased 3 refurbished nds lites and only 1 was actually functional. 2 was obviously defective and returned. I was surprised that after I returned the 2 units they sent me one back in about 2 wks which for china is fast. I notified them that I am lacking one unit and they alleged that I didn't send them both units? I forwarded a copy of the postal receipt as requested and the weight indicates that 2 units was packaged and I also sent copies of a correspondence indicating that I actually tried to repair one of the units and purchased a battery that was absent in one of the units and was going to keep it but the screens was defective. to make a long story short the initial person handling my case resigned and the person I am working with states he can't do anything but wants to give me store credit for $30.00 and I paid $96.00 for each unit. see photos and receipt. the hong kong package photo indicates the weight of 1 unit (364 grams) and my receipt indicates the weight of 2 units minus a battery (1 lb 10.20 oz which is equivalent to 742.76 grams). does anyone have any suggestions other than never to buy refurbished items?
I am very satisfied with deal extreme. their prices are unbeatable (free shipping), and their service is top quality. their products are also very good. I ordered 6 items but one of them did not come in the package, I contacted dx and soon they resent the missing product.
Their representatives are very kind and helpful. although shipping takes a while, it is to be expected because 1) shipping is free, and 2) it is being shipped from hong kong.
I would be more than happy to recommend dealextreme to other customers!
After I have ordered my product (a flashlight) I have waited 7 days, and nothing happened. on their web site, on the status it says waiting for seller. well... my credit card is already charged, and I have doubts now that this company will ever ship me anything. so I canceled my order, and bought it through a different store, although paid $15 more. I did write them e-mail 3 days after I ordered the product, but no response till today. this is a bad business, and I have already paid them 52 bucks for nothing!
I've bot an item in dealextreme and I tried to cancel on the next day and they said it wasn't possible to cancel that. ok, I accept their response. but it's been more than a month and I simply got no item and there's no how to track it too. that item cost me u$99, 00 and they stole this money from me. please don't buy from this website. they are not serious, as you can see i'm not the only one complaining here about them. this is the order number [protected]

Let's hope that you will always buy products without much problems with them. Either you are one of them, or you still haven't met with a problematic item. I have been their customer since 2017, after 1 spoilt item, and I got a threatening reply to my ticket when I asked for replacement or refund, I am no longer their customer. (Mind you, they at first refused to help, and after I opened Paypal dispute, they start threatening.)
I don't think threatening your customers are how business should operates.

wrong/missing items
I ordered 6 x cap lights from Dealextreme China on 28th January 2011. They sent me a USB cable ? After 3 weeks waiting for their response they confirmed shipping of the correct order. I received today only one of the six items ordered. I imported from other businesses in China with no problem. Do not do business with DEALEXTREME CHINA !
