The washing machine tangles washing into a tight ball, resulting in non-effective washing and stretching of clothes. Unfortunately I only became aware of this problem about a month or so after purchasing the machine via TAKEALOT.

The only washing program that does not do this is the Delicates programme. Unfortunately, the washing part of the programme is only 4 minutes long before it wants to drain the water. So everytime I do a load of washing I have to manually stop the Delicates programme after 4 minutes and restart the Delicates programme to continue washing my clothes. I do this 5 times which equates to 20 minutes of washing as per the normal and heavy programmes. Then I select the spin programme to drain the water and spin the washing. This whole process is followed for the next load of washing.

I logged numerous calls with the service centre. The first technician blamed it on the motor and stated that if the motor is changed then the problem will be resolved. Changed the motor, exactly the same result. Then the next changed the drum, exactly same result, washing tangled. A few of the reports indicated that tge machine is washing as how it is supposed to wash, and therefore nothing is wrong with the machine.

I requested DEFY Service centre to refund me, but DEFYrefused.

I am stuck with this machine and am a very unhappy DEFY customer. It is more than a year now since purchasing this product.
