Went to the Coachella drive through of Del Taco. Ordered our food and proceeded to wait for over 15 minutes while they helped customers inside, finally they helped the car in front of us. We then waited longer. When the girl working finally came to the window I told her that was the longest I have ever waited in a drive through. She said " Well we just had a $65 dollar order inside" I told her that has nothing to do with me and I have a crying baby. She very rudely replied well what do you want a free drink or something? I said no and just left without paying or getting the food we needed.

My family and I have been frequenting this restaurant since June 2008, including our 4 children, all with special needs. We chose this as our family spot due to their low prices and play area in which our kids could enjoy. Today, Sunday, May 4th, 2014 at approximately 2:15 pm, after playing in the area for over an hour, a manager, approached my oldest (Autistic, 12 year old physically, 6 or 7 mentally) and ordered that he no longer play in that area. At the time, he and another girl, about 9 or 10, were the only 2 playing along with my 5 year old son. My son did so without question, but as I observed the situation, and had been watching them play the entire time, I decided to ask her why she made that decision. She simply said "he's too big, " smiled, and walked away. As she did so, I explained wed, not return to this, our favorite family spot if over 5 years, and exited. I can understand there are posted rules concerning height and age, however, there are no explanation's regarding children with disabilities or special needs related to their specific conditions. Does this mean Del Taco cares only about the safety of "normal children" and not that of those with mental or physical conditions. As a parent, who is far from perfect, with children who are also not perfect, I can read the silver lining! Del Taco was a respectable place, that catered to our family and their needs... until today!
hiring illegal immigrants
The general manager at the Del Taco(1010) restaurant in Palm Desert off Monterey has knowingly hired illegal immigrants for the last couple of years. She knowing allows them to bring in fake documents, ID and passports. After she hires them she ends up totally mistreating and harassing then knowing they have no recourse. Graciela Gonzalez needs to be investigated immediately.

Ordered a Dbl Del combo meal through the drive-tru @ 2:29pm today. When I got i ate just about the whole burger when i chomped on something hard that hurt when i bit down. I spit the meat out and went through it and found small black particles, 1 the size of a mall bb.. I called the main number at 3:06 and made a complaint. I was told the district manager would call me back, i waited a little over one hour and had not received a call back so at 4:09pm today i called the main number back to have the same guy tell me I already sent him the message he will call you back within 24hrs. I told the gentleman he better call me back within 15-20min. or I was going to make this known. What about me what about other people who order this? I do not even know what it is...
I had the same issue on Dec 10th 2011 here in Salem, OR. Called the 1-800 number twice with no return calls, Filled out their customer complaint form twice with no return calls.. I'm thinking it is pieces of cattle hoof but it has more the shape of a dogs toenail.. Disgusting..
sharp large object in food
Please see these pictures attached. I had a bean and cheese burrito, bit into it and cut the roof of my mouth on this. I called and they said they would replace it. That was not good enough. They should be able to see something this big when smearing the beans on a tortilla.

I know exactly what that is, its part of the container that the cheese is stored in, its plastic, kinda like a storage box.They are kept in the freezer, hence they are easy to break when dropped, or collide with a hard/sharp object.I know these bins really well, I worked for del taco for 3 years, what amazes me is, it got thru into your burrito, it amazes me, I would pursue it, because this is a major quality control problem that should NEVER happen.
Take it back to the store and show the manager.
It looks like it might be part of a scoop tool used to make the burrito.

I dinned at Del Toca twice and both the time some mess has not leave me alone on my table. Talk about food, something was nice really nice but other was worst so it is disappointing not great to deal with. For the first time I ordered Macho Bacon and egg burrito and chicken cheddar quesadilla. I like the chicken cheddar quesadilla, it was hot and great but the eggs in burrito disappoint me. They spoiled the taste, I am not sure if they have used really spoiled stuff for making burrito. Next time I went there, ‘Del Carbon', its popular here so I ordered it and it horrid me when I saw long auburn hair in it. Though it was great hair was a big problem for me..!

Using old lettuce and tomatoes that has fell were they slide taco, 2 peolpe at night have no help. Gurlfriend of manager always behind counter in there regular clothes. Roof is caving in. The whole store in the back looks like crap and to think people are eating there. All employees who are working are doing drugs. My problem is not with the food at Del Taco or even the Service. I do have to say that the Pueblo, CO location is great at making sure service is good and the food is made correctly. My problem is with the Owner and upper manager of the company. The Restaurant Manager Ms. Louann is great. She takes care of her employee's and her employee's are very loyal to her. She knows how to run a very good restaurant. But in the last few weeks the new owner (actually the owners father) and upper management (maybe I should say his flunky management assistant, AMBER) has come in and ruined a very good restaurant. I know for a fact that there are things going on behind the screen that have made working at the restaurant almost impossible. Work schedules are being changed without the employees being called to notify them of the change. Part-time employees are being asked to work out wrong hours (these hours interfering with school work or school functions, (Prom Graduation). NO one is getting the requested days off that they need. The employees are being told that if the call off they will get fired. They have to have a note from the doctor saying what is wrong with them or they will be fired. Everyone is fearful for the jobs, Amber is writing everyone up for no reason's at all. And you ask how I know this, because my son works at Del Taco. He has been there almost a year and half and in that time he has only missed ONE day of work and the only reason he did was because he got hurt at school and had to put in a sling. We had doctors notes and everything to prove what happened. My son is always early to work and willing to stay late. He used to love his job and now he can't believe everything that is going on. He is a full-time student and still working well over 28 hours a week because of what is going one at the restaurant. He does understand that this is not Ms. Luann's fault that it has to do with Amber. What kills me is that AMBER is making the schedule so my son will miss his Sr. Prom. He asked for that weekend off over a month ago and now he has to work that entire weekend. He can't call off because he will loose his job. He wants to go to Prom but also needs his job. How can anyone let the company they own be ran this way. I really hope that things go back to the way they used to be. The restaurant was so much better without AMBER being involved. AMBER GET OUT GO AWAY you have ruined a good restaurant.

awful place to eat
This evening I went into store 823 in Huntington Beach. I was the only person in line and waited 2 or 4 minutes before a young man who was busy chatting with the girls on the grill decided to help me. He took my order and I paid. While I was waiting a gentleman came up and waited for assistance. After 3 or 4 minutes a lady came out of an office area looked and me and this gentleman then walked away.
The gentleman waited a few more minutes then left in disgust. I asked to speak to the manager after I got my food as I was concerned about the level of service that I received and that the gentleman did not receive. I waited another 5 minutes before the lady that walked by earlier came up to the counter.
I asked her if she was aware that she had a customer walk out because he did not get any service. She looked at me quizzically and shrugged. Apparently she did not speak any english, or at least that was her way of dealing with an upset customer. I asked her in spanish if she spoke english and she said just a little.
When prompted if she was the manager she said yes, however I find it difficult to believe that she was the store manager. I would tend to believe that she was a shift supervisor and not a manager. I asked for the telephone number and name of the manager and she continued to pretend that she did not understand english and the young men and women who were preparing food were laughing.
Is this the way that Del Taco wants to treat its customers? Apparently so as this is not the first time I have had difficulty communicating with their staff.
I manage a staff of associates in a major retail environment and would not tolerate this type of interaction with any of our customers.

This place is CRAP. I mean if you are going to serve a burrito, make sure it's warm. My CRAP taste better than this. Child molesters work here and crack heads. Dude they should serve pears, they are healthy as hell. Next time I get a cold burrito i'm throwing it at the mangers face. FORGET DEL TACO!

I am sooo pissed, I made a late night trip to del taco. Ordered some food for my family through the drive thru he guy repeated my order back to not once but twice, and once more when he gave me my order. I was in a hurry to get home and since he told me my order three times I figured that I would be safe to take his word boy was I wrong. We were missing 1 quesillda, I large fry, 1 hard taco, and 1 chicken soft taco. But it was to late by the time I got home to drive all the way back over the. So I am pissed at del taco.

I got the wrong order on 3/17/2024. It is been since 3/17/2024. I have not been back . I was offered replacement> I would to get my money back. I don't plan on going back..
I completed the survey from Store 1481 and wrote the code down and they did not honor my survey. I do not have a phone. They said I would have to take a pic or print out the code. They were very rude and waisted my time on visiting them. Nothing is said on the suvey online.
Very upset with this policy
We DoorDashed del taco on Dinuba blvd Visalia ca 9/3/23 and there was a foreign metal object in our food. Good thing my 3 yrs old did not ingest it,we caught it before hand while eating the food. WE couldn't even eat the food. it was very soggy and cold. we dont even live 5 minutes away.
we got 2 epic chicken burritos. both of our burritos had about 5 small pieces of chicken. The burrito was all beans and rice. we spent 18.00 for beans.
As a paying customer I am mortified that homeless people are allowed to harass and say rude comments to whoever is sitting trying to eat in the dining room. The staff didnt care when told of this uncomfortable situation. I wont return to this store and neither will my family.
