I am not complaining. This is the only way I see to be able to talk to you. I have a birthday coming up on Aug 17 and i am part of your club. I received my coupon to be printed out in an email a few weeks ago. I accidentally deleted it without using or printing it. I am sure you can verify that it hasnt been redeemed and I am begging you to resend me another coupon so i can get my tacos. Please see what can be done. A long time and loyal customer, Robert Scott Maly. You can look up my name and birthday Aug 17, 1964 and see i am telling the truth. Please reply so i can know whats up. Thanks,
poor service, incorrectly made order, object in food
This happened 7/30/2017 at 1030pm in Lake Forest CA at the location on lake forest at the 5 south exit. To start it took 20 minutes to get my food. Second I get home and my double del cheese burger was nothing but patty cheese and sauce as well as ice cold and i did not order it that way.Third and most importantly i also got a chicken soft taco, i opened it to add hot sauce and closed it and as I took a bite i bit into a piece of clear plastic that seemed to be from a bag which i could've choked on or i had eaten it. I am incredibly disappointed in this experience. I request a full refund and some compensation since this matter could've been very very serious. Please respond back immediately. I have a photo but unfortunately its not letting me add it so please provide me with a alternate email to send it to.
food
Good afternoon, I am a huge fan of del taco and i always receive great customer service, but this location made me very upset. My family and I went through drive through and the young man at the front window told me to move my car past the window where you are supposed to get food. I waited in my car for over 15minutes (mind you this is past 11pm at night so no one else was in line) finally the guy came out and gave me food. My taco meat was cold, as well as my fries. I don't know what these employees are doing but they had me worried and felt unsafe waiting that long having the guy come outside and deliver to my car that late. I ate the fried right when the guy gave it to me as was so upset that I didn't complain..
epic carnitas burrito
I was eating my burrito when something sharp stabbed me in the cheek. There was a long piece of metal in my burrito possibly from a grill brush! I am very upset about this and hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. Metal grill brushes are very dangerous as the pieces and break off and become embedded in ones throats which is very uncomfortable and hard to remove. I am very disappointed in Del Taco that the grill wasn't at least wiped down after being scrubbed. This could have been easily avoided.
roaches.
Today I stop at my local del taco located in Anaheim, ca off of harbor Blvd and la palma ave. As my order was being handed to me another customer approached the counter and politely stated to an employee that there was a cockroach on his table. The employee stated I will tell them. I stopped dead in my tracks sick to my stomach no longer hungry. I waited for 4 min and no one no one came out from behind the counter to even seem conserned about the issue. I'm aware no place can be 100% of any bug yet the lack of concern the employees had was shame that those people take no pride. Needless to say me and my children didn't eat out food from there today. If me and my family decide to ever return to a Dell taco it won't be that one .
service
I went to 1720 Superior Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92627 one of you're del taco places and I was treated very poorly. I went to the drive thru with my friends and we ordered food. We pull up and pay and we patiently waited for 10 minutes before another customer gets out of his car and comes up to the window and tell the employee that he should have us pull up. Now me feeling bad for the employee I offer to pull up and wait for our food. The employee then continues to tell me that if I'm going to order a lot of food I should just go inside to order. I was shocked and hurt by what he said to me. He then tells me that I have to go inside to get my food which is no big deal but I thought it was weird because usually when you pull forward at a fast food place they will bring out your food to you. Now I go inside and all of our food was ready, we didn't have to go inside to get it, the employee was nice enough to give us a bag for our food but I also thought it was weird because he didn't even put the food in it, he just handed us the bag and told us we had to put the food in there ourselves which again, is not a big deal but most of the times at other fast food places they will put the food in the bag for you. He didn't apologize for anything he said and I felt like I was unimportant. I am very appalled that you would allow those kind of people to work for you, it runs business away and overall makes del taco look really bad. I was so upset with this that I actually will not be going to any more del tacos. It made me sick to my stomach to be treated like that. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect. I don't know if it's because I am a woman and the other upset customer was a male so the employee felt obligated to take care of him first and not me but I was very shocked to be treated that badly.
double del cheeseburger
I went to the Del Taco on Harbor and MacAthur in Santa Ana, CA on July 12, 2017 at 10:00 pm. I went there for the promotion of 2 double del cheeseburgers for $5.00. When drove it the drive thru and began to place my order for 6 burgers, (plus more items) they told me they were out of burgers. I asked why, then they said because they just finished cleaning the grill and they can't make them anymore. I was really surprised because i 've been to other del tacos and never had this problem. It wasn't really that busy so i dont understand why they couldn't make my burgers especially because of the promotion that advertised all over the establishment. I had to Carl's Jr. next door for my burgers and to a Taco Bell for my burritos and nachos. Is closing the grill early a regular thing they do, especially on a promotion for your double del cheeseburgers.
service/food
on more than one occasion the food has been stale. Its only a matter of time before someone gets sick and if its me I will see you in court.
Taco shells stale. Fall apart in your hand, cant even eat it without a fork.
Hamburger buns, stale and hard. So this is what 15.00 min wage gets us? No thanks.
The Barstow location and the Baker location are the two premium locations that every store should follow. Every employee should have to work there for a day or two so they can see what customer service is all about as well as food prep. Night and day from the Menifee location.
I guess a boycott on this location is in order. I do not want to get sick.
Very disappointing as i have been a customer for years, since the Naugles days.
management
I would like to complain about the whole entire store from crew members to management at the store in Alamogordo 1187 to be exact. I always hear from some of the employees that the management keeps the unskilled and unmotivated workers there and seem to be cutting on the hours of the better ones. A couple months ago I heard that one of the graveyard employees was taking naps on the clock in their closed down lobby or disappearing for most of the night leaving the manager to take the order cash out the order cook the order and then hand it out all by himself for most of the night. Then I heard the same employee was sexually harassing one of their younger employees who was a minor at the time and the management did nothing and seemed to shrug it off like it was nothing of a problem to them. I also hear that some of the manager and employees don't get along or feel like some should still be working there due to the lack of effort and speediness they use on thier shift compared to what they started at. Another thing I hear is that the first morning person or prep person is never on time or constantly late by almost 15 plus minutes and this issue never gets addressed as well. Also I hear that the general manager herself seems to barely be at the store and not even putting in maybe twenty hours of work in the store and that she does everything from home and then her assistant manager leaves her shifts early all the time or calls in late to them and sometime leaves freshly new managers alone to run a shift with barely any staff. Another thing that I hear floating around the store is theft. I heard that the same employee who was sleeping during the graveyard shifts was not only doing what was already stated but he was stealing food on a daily basis with no consequences and that it is still going on today especially with a manager and her sibling that they have working together on the same shift sometimes giving and making their own food and then not ringing it up at all. I heard that they did fire one person for this incidient already but shouldn't everyone who did the crime get the same punishment as well. The last thing that I want to mention that I've heard is that the assistant manager puts a lot of burden on the graveyard shift to clean and stock the store in a very detailed manner no matter what the night crew leaves them and from what I hear is a lot because the graveyard employees always seem to be busy deep cleaning or restocking some thing big every night except maybe two or three nights of the week which I can only assume is someone's night off. And if the graveyard does not complete every single task and get both employees breaks in they are scolded for, threatened write up and at worse fired for no matter what has transpired before their shift and how much money they make in some cases I've drove by and seen them with four to five cars in the drive thru line or almost a non stop chain of cars that proceedes into the early morning hours which I can assume is near the end of thier shift. I really enjoy most of my experiences in the store and in the drive thru lane but once you go there enough to hear about some of the constant problems and none of them have been address I think theres a time for higher management to come in and take a look around not just in the store but also I heard of a alarming issue that has been going on since the newest general manager and assistant manager combo took over the store. That issue is that some of the employees claim that they are not getting paid the same amount of hours that they have clock out receipts compared to their paycheck stubs. That to me is a real big issue especially when i hear that some employees are forced to work on their break just to keep up with the high demand of guests or cleaning duties just to even have the chance to be done by the end of their shift. All these issue seem to be a long going issue and none of the employees want to make the move because they want to keep their jobs there and the fact that it could be traced back to them and costs them their jobs especially in today's world or the fact that maybe too many of them are friends outside of work like drinking buddies that they don't want to ruin that relationship. I just hope that this helps bring a much need eye to the store and the issues that are going on behind the scenes it seems like.
the drive through host attendant very rude while taking our order. his name was cristobal
First of all I am reporting this incident because employees like Cristobal who attended us that night need to be punished and trained to respect customers because this will lead to a downfall of your business.
In the early hours of 6/20/2017 at 12:45 am I drove to the Simi Valley California Del Taco to get food with my family. This was the Drive-Thru and the Del Taco Store # is 0177 on Cochran Street. At the drive-thru ordering menu board we were selecting our order and asked the attendant that do you guys have Gorditas. The attendant (CRISTOBAL) replied very rudely that we only have what ever is on the menu board so select from there. Then suddenly the water sprinklers turned on and I pulled up my window with a little opening to put my order. All the sprinklers water was coming into my car so I told Cristobal to please let your manager know the next morning that the direction of the sprinklers need to be fixed. The attended got upset and was very rude and told me and my family that "I am not sitting here to check the sprinklers". He said that it was none of his business to tell his manager about the sprinklers. I told him that I will talk to your manager about your attitude and he replied that go ahead I don't care about the manager or who ever you complain to. Then we drove to the window and got our order without any greeting and respect for customers. This guy was extremely rude.
I request the corporate office to come back to me. My phone number is [protected]
food ordered was not the food provided/given
Date: 6/18/17 used drive through. Drive through experience took at minimum 20 minutes from time waiting in line, to order, to then receive food.
Ordered a chicken quesadilla with no green sauce.
Was charged full price for a chicken quesadilla however only received a plain, cheese only quesadilla.
In fact was so small and hardly had any cheese inside I am not sure how they could serve something like this for $3.69!
food and service
My name is Sheena. I made a call to complain on your service line this past Saturday the 3rd in regards to my experience at the location on Fort Apache and Hacienda in Las Vegas. I came in the drive through around 11:30am and ordered two hard tacos and a medium fries. Upon initial ordering, two men were speaking through the speakers and laughing while taking my order and taking my order in a weird voice that was obviously not the way they speak. Already offended I paid and grabbed my food. They did not give me a receipt and when I opened my two tacos they were smashed. When I left a voicemail on your customer service line it stated I will be contacted in 48 hours. Yet no one has gotten back to me. Please address this concern with the location and their staff and update me.

overall experience
Placed a drive thru order with Destiny on 6/5/17 at location #0822. It was a great experience her customer service was beyond excellent. That is my to go location because of the always great experience. I go about 2x a week. Love the food
On 6/6/17 i was near a location in Hacienda Heights which is by my house. I placed a order with Destiny at #0102. Well in the drive thru placing a order i imedially seen the difference in between locations. I could hardly hear her she failed to offer me anything else. I was not greated nor thanked! She was very rude had no friendliness aspects to her. I was charged more for the same meal i had just previously ordered the day before. When i asked her why it was more she said that she was not in charge of prices. I still had my receipt from yesterday, to prove it was the same meal well she was not interested in hearing it. I felt over charged and that i wasn't a valued custom. This will be my last time here.
food
I have a complaint about your tacos. Why does there need to be a regular Taco and a "Del Taco?" Back in the days the tacos were full of meat, cheese and lettuce. Every Del Taco location has skimpy tacos, except the one in Barstow, CA. The small tacos are uneven, the shells are broken, there is either too much lettuce or not enough meat. I understand I am paying a 69 cents, however the proportions are completely messed up. Why can't you go back to having a nice delicious full taco and pricing it between the "regular taco" and the "Del Taco?" It sucks that I have to go all the way to Barstow to get a good hearty Taco full of meat, cheese and lettuce.
Thank you and have a nice day.
bathroom policy
My wife and I went to a del taco in Shafter CA 93263 and my wife got down with my 4 year old daughter who had diarrhea and couldn't hold it much longer. So when they went inside my wife saw that to use the restroom you have to make a purchase so when my daughter finished my wife waiting at the door while my daughter ran to me to get mi wife's wallet. Then she heard what she thinks was the manager (due to different attire) say that "they always come use the restroom and not buy anything" then another worker went to supposedly clean up the mess my wife and child had left. We didn't get the managers name due to being very angry but I'm sure del taco corporate can get that info. This happened at 8:10 pm on Friday may 26 2017 in del taco in Shafter California 93263. I really hope del taco does something about this. Thank you.
What I meant to say is, it's clear the manager was more than likely just stating a fact going by how you worded your complaint. You should have just stayed home and messed up your own bathroom.
Your complaint makes me wonder if you realize that this restaurant's purpose is to conduct business, just as an Accountants Office, A bank or a Pet Store would. The fact it is equipped with a restroom does not obligate them to allow you, a sick child or your wife to use their restroom, take a dump, make a mess then not clean up after yourselves (this should come naturally if you're civilized human beings).
This establishment does not HAVE TO let you in, they do not HAVE TO Allow you to come use their facilities, and leave your mess. Many businesses would have denied you & this is exactly one reason why! Rather than complaining you should have had some manners & thanked them for the use of their facilities, but instead you feel entitled to complain and entitled to place blame for assaulting a child, you must be kidding us!
You claim the manager made a comment You did not like or you took offense to.
So now I sit here in awe and wonder if you realize that this restaurant's purpose is to conduct business just as an Accountants Office, A bank or a Pet Store does? The fact it is equipped with a restroom for its CUSTOMER'S who are dining does not obligate them to allow you, a sick child or your wife to come inside, take a dump, make a mess, not clean up after yourselves (this should come naturally if you're civilized human beings).
This establishment does not HAVE TO let you in, they do not HAVE TO Allow you to come use their facilities, and they do not have to refrain from speaking upon your arrival.
You claim the manager made a comment you didn't like...made you angry.
Well I ask you why that is? The anger? Is it what she said? How she said it or who she said it to? Who was she referring to? You? And if so, howdo you know? Why would she say what she said if it weren't true? And lastly, how is it you became aware of the bathroom policy? I ask because I visit Del Tacos throughout SoCal at least twice a week and have never heard of this or seen a sign posted.
So how is it you know of this policy?
fake hours of business posted in window, or lazy-### employees?
I routinely go to the Del Taco on Zelzah Ave. and Chatsworth St. in Granada Hills, CA., and this Saturday/Sunday I got there once again at a quarter after 2:00 am, only to find that they appear to have Friday & Saturday hours posted as 3:00 am, when they consistently have the place (meaning the dining room) closed off to the public even before 2:00 am. I could understand if it were just once, or twice, but it's every single Friday and Saturday, which just makes your company a bunch of lying phoneys. If you want to boast late night hours, stay open to those without cars until the hours that you have posted, or simply change them if you feel that your employees cannot handle this. We aren't even talking about women here, last night there were at least two men on duty, ignoring me as I knocked on the doors and windows, almost a full hour before the posted closing time. That's another thing too...they didn't even offer up an explanation or say a single thing to me...they just kept ignoring me while 45 minutes went by, until it actually became 3:00 am. If this is how you treat your long-time customers, you aren't going to have us very long.
rude and rushed service
I am writing this because I had an unpleasant visit tonight. I had gone through the drive through and the girl taking my order was rude and seemed to rush me when I was ordering so I was already unsure about my food being right. But when I got to the window there was no greeting or anything and I could see other crew in the back just sitting there. So I gave my card and asked if I could add another taco cause I knew I would still be a little hungry with just one and they did with an attitude. So I get my order, I try to check the bags quick because I already felt rushed in the first place and I asked is this all and the guy said "yeah that's everything". But by the time I got home and was settled in they forgot the other taco I originally ordered and paid for. Personally it's just a 1$ so it's not worth the hassle of writing this especially if the customer service was good but since it wasn't I need to address that this location needs to be revised and managers acknowledge the importance of customer service to the crew. This store will not succeed if the crew and managers continue these bad habits of rushing customers and not being kind and courteous to who actually puts the money in their pockets. Respect and kindness goes a long way so please enforce it throughout this store.
sicko's
I'm sorry. I'm a stupid, pimple faced little boy who likes to make fun of everyone every chance I have because my mother and father liked having sex with me. It really screwed me up because I liked it. And now I can't get a job or a girlfriend. Or maybe a boyfriend? I don't know. I'm still confused about that. Now I feel like if I judge other people and make them feel bad, I can feel better about myself.
del taco #0324 claudia, police, called a fraud!!!
Hi my name is Marc Mulvaney, im 44 years old. I don't have a criminal record. I'm a entrepreneur and I'm very friendly! I eat at DT 1-2 a day without fail, I love it! About 8 days ago we visited DT #0324 on Sahara Ave in LV, we had filled out a survey about 3-4 weeks before we left for Costa Rica. At the time we didn't save the receipt instead we saved a Screenshot. Upon our return to Las Vegas I excitedly headed to my nearest DT from our new office. Claudia the shift manager was working and told us in a very mean tone that we can't use a Screenshot to redeem the dollar discount and asked us what we were trying to pull as the Screenshot was dated, she insisted she knew what we were up too he cause the date of the Screenshot was old in her opinion. A little bit confused we explained we had made a Screenshot because we had no pen at the time. Obviously it wasn't older than 60 days as we were only 3 weeks in Costa Rica. Anyhow it wasn't an issue, we didn't get the discount and that was understandable why. I had fries with my order and Claudia took the last of the fries under the heat lamp and got the chef to reheat them. He even said "reheat!?" Should I not put fill them up? So he reheated the old fries for about 30 seconds and she gave us a rather empty large portion of fries, to which I replied, can I have fresh fries instead? She refused and we just accepted and on we went to eat. Her Co-worker on the shift witnessed the situation and came out with fresh fries and apologised for her rudeness. We filled out a detailed review on the del taco website at how her service was unfriendly and also how professional he handled everything. Anyway once in the car we took the code from the Screenshot we saved and applied it on to our new receipt as I had just made the online review minutes before and not saved the coupon code. So a week forward, hence this evening we enter in to the same DT #0324 and Claudia the shift manager is working once again. I give my order and my wife hands her the filled out receipt. She immediately tells us its not valid and that we're frauds in front of other guests! Then starts speaking Spanish to her coworker high enough for the latino guests to understand and stare. I immediately get angry as I have 25 employees and I ask her to give me the number of her boss. She refuses and instead calls the police and tells them we are harassing her. We ask a coworker if he could give us information on how to reach a general manager and as he is about to tell us as even he is shaking is head at her, she tells him to not answer us and move away or he shall lose his job. Literally in her own words she tells him, "im warning you, dont speak with them and move over there or it will have consequences!" Then this rude lady takes out her phone and takes photos of us! calls her boss, and clearly lies right in front of us, once again calling us scammers! Now I love DT and yes I like giving honest reviews, it's important to know what mistakes need to be changed. I'm a major shareholder in a 24mil dollar cooperation, we sell to the public too and customer relations can make or break a business. So knowing the mistakes and what things the customers like is A&O. Hence the dollar coupon is a considerable amount of money as 70% might just fill out the survey generically leaving you with zero data to work with. So I am aware that real data might cost a lot more than $1 in turnover and that is why I like to be detailed with companies I like! Anyhow, back to Claudia... I understand she is trained to compare the code with the 15 digit survey and we understood very clearly that the discount code we had made weeks before did not match the receipt we gave her. But out of all the employees we could ever meet, she even clearly remembered telling us it must be written on the receipt. Which is exactly what my wife did! We wrote the code we had made earlier and placed it on the receipt she gave us weeks later. We tried to respond to her loud insults friendly but naturally in a tempered tone, and also showed the police the saved Screenshot and the code she told us to write on the receipt just a week earlier! But she wouldn't listen and when she was telling the story to her boss on the phone we heard her again claim we were scammers! She also told the officer that we were frauds! Dear Del Taco, I'm not worried about 1 dollar, we had just bought a bottle of 2013 Opus One for 333$ 20 minutes before. But I get very very annoyed when a shift manager thinks she has power. Power to insult me and my wife, calling us frauds in front of guests, repeating it to her boss and saying things loud in Spanish that I couldn't understand. That annoys me immensely. It disturbs me that a shift manager isn't trained to understand customer is king. I mean I'm a 44 year old respectable human being. I've just paid over 500k to move to the USA, I'm not some uneducated thug looking for trouble. Having my office close to the strip and just a few minutes from a Del Taco was exciting for me, it sounds corny but if you do a search for cardpayments you will see I really do eat at DT daily. Now I'm not on the lookout for anything free, I'd prefer to be served with a smile, and enjoy my simple bean burritos without cheese. I just want to wind down and relax after work or during lunch. I don't want to be called a fraud and have some gone wild shift manager call the police on me. I personally was in the gastro business for 12 years and I would definitely take her out of her position to re-school her! She should not be in control of her coworkers telling them not to name the manager or tell me when I can contact that person. She shouldn't lie to anyone period, that is an absolute no no. Because she is a shift manager and she was the woman who even told us a week before to write the number on the receipt, she should have known that the code might not have matched the receipt and was the code from the Screenshot we showed her a week before. She would have known it if she had listened to just one word instead of blocking everything we said. It wouldn't have been difficult. And she even could have said, ah is that the code from the Screenshot you showed me last week? Or asked us even to redo the review. There were plenty of options apart from calling us frauds and speaking loud Spanish. I'm totally disappointed and yes I would like to see some action done about this before I take action myself. I want to be able to eat in my local del taco when I feel like it and I want my experience to he fun and friendly. I would definitely like a follow up and I shall invest time if needed and take further action if I get no response. You can contact me at [protected] till Saturday after that I'm on a 4 week trip to Europe for vacation or preferably send an email to [protected]@gmail.com. I thank you for your time and hope to clear things up as soon as possible.
Kind regards
Marc Mulvaney

Took $20 from me, refused a coupon, got coupon back, no $20 bill. Been back there last 2 days, left messages with GM, no help inside store, wouldn't give their names, was told I needed cops to get their names. Was told by GM she was watching video, yet, says local Corporate bringing "footage" tomorrow. I've left 2 messages with Corp., no reply.
I've worked retail for 30 years, this is ridiculous
