unauthorized money taken out of account
I was behind 1 month and came due for 2nd month, my wife made a payment out of a different account and gave # to CS, the man read back #'s and we thought it had been taken care of. 3 days later we checked our checking account to find out the amount for 2 months was taken from wrong account and was for 2 months. We only approved 1 month. You pay 1 month in advanced so by billing dates I was only 30 days past do. Now I have bounced checks and still no money.
My wife called Dish and spoke to Laura and she said she would take care of it by crediting 2 months back to us and we will be sending back to our banks 1 month os 123.00. Today is seven days and no money as aggreed to. Called Disk, they have no record of agreement and said 2 months was applied but there is no record of any other credit. Transfered to Dept head he stated that there will be a crdeit issued and it will be 20 plus days. First it was 5 to 7 days and now it is up to 30 days. It seem the more you call the longer it keeps being pushed out to. Mean time I have 135.00 in bank charges that I have occured for there mistake.

They are blackmailing channels such as fox news for more money then dump these channels when they say no to more money. I bet they will come after me next! Dish needs to tell it's costumers they are sorry (Ha!) and won't do that again or else! Next get ri of their ceo (Ha!) and find someone who will treat us better. tech broke my gas line and dont have any gas to heat my house or cook
driver went to go fix a cable so I could get my satellite signal back after he met up with marco a perea at the entrance marco's told driver which house it was and still he stopped at the wrong house and while he backed up he broke the natural gas lines that goes to my house so the driver din't tell anybody what he had done till the neighbor smelled the gas where he had broke the gas line so now I don't have any gas and they don't want to pay to put my gas back on that because it was not a active gas line and it was that's how I was heating my house and cooking and I have a 11 month baby.

Dish employees have to many hands in the stew... Employees of the dish network promise you and come to an agreement with customers and then switch to other terms later on. On numerous occasions we have spoken with several dish representatives and they still overcharging us for their lousy service and not to mention that they have took out several channels due to their turner problems such as cnn. Now why should I pay regular prices when they are taking out these channels and not re-inbursting me with another channel. After all the original agreement of americas top 120 which we purchased for 29.99 for 12 months. Then 49.99 after the 12 month. Now they are overrrrrrrrr-charging me 150$ when all my dish network bills are paid on time and I have the bills to prove them. The company is all out horrible. Just look at the complaints board. And bureaus do nothing. The problems with these companies is that they forgot one mayor all saying..."the customer is always right"... You forget that and you lose your customers for life. You want to build on relationship not destroy it.

moving / etf / no line of sight
I feel that my move was not just your ordinary move. My husband, a decorated army vet, 82nd airborne, and police detective with the roanoke city police department, had the initial contact with dish for years. When we moved in together we continued the contract. When asked who we had service with, we happily told others dish. We were on month to month for a while. My husband became very ill with cancer. During his illness, we upgraded to include dish's internet service, as this was about all he could do... Tv and internet were his escape. My husband passed away in july of this year. I was in a position that i had to move. Making sure there was a line of sight for dish network unfortunately was not on my checklist in searching for a new home. It was the very last thing on my mind, after the emotion of losing lin. The customer service reps i have dealt with in trying to transfer this account to my new home have been cold and heartless, each response being well rehearsed. It is through no fault of mine that there is no line of sight due to my neighbor’s trees. Why am i to pay an early termination fee of $522.50 because dish's satellite can only point in one direction? Shouldn’t each situation be treated individually?

turner broadcasting negotiations
Since Dish has pulled all Turner Broadcasting channels from my Dish lineup due to "negotiations, " I am publicly collecting names and addresses and telephone numbers of all Dish subscribers to file a class action lawsuit against Dish Network for breach of contract and perhaps Turner BC as a second party. If these broadcasters want to negotiate with the cable/satellite providers the channels in question should be kept on air for the consumer while this is going on. We are paying their bills. My kids are having a fit over losing Cartoon Network and some of the other stations. I totally agree, we should not have to pay the regular amount of our bill, without having the channels we agreed upon, when we signed our contracts. I have contacted their CS several times, and been given nothing but bull crap. Two of the people I spoke to seemed clueless to anything that is going on. The last person actually did offer me a $10 a month discount for 6 months. That is not what I want. I want the programming back that I agreed upon to start with. Please contact me if you do file the class action suite. I would be more than happy to sign on!

I called and complained to DISH, also. After going through their automated telephone system, I held on to talk to a DISH customer service person. After asking her why my bill didn't decrease with the loss of the multiple Turner channels she just apologized and explained that Turner Network was charging more for their channels and DISH was negotiating to keep OUR costs from going up. BAH! They're doing it to keep their PROFIT MARGIN --- our rates will still go up. After complaining about how I'm being charged for 2 MSNBC channels (the one I get in my channel package and their CNN replacement one), and not getting the channels I paid for, she apologized, again, and offered me a $5 discount on my bill for the next 3 months. Then, I asked her when the negotiations will be resolved. She couldn't answer that, so ... if after 3 months the dispute hasn't been settled, I'll be calling DISH, again, for an extension of those credits.

We are forced to watch 3 MSNBC News channels on 200, 202, 209 and 2 Family 175, 176, Esquire Network 242, and FXM on 132. and paying for the same price watching double same channels after having a $10.00 increase last month. They waited until midnight when most people wouldn't notice right away and didn't inform its Customers at all of the up coming expiration date with Turner. and listening to the CEO on dishstandsforyou.com almost made me want to vomit. They haven't replied to any of my emails to them and when I called the Customer Service the woman that I talk to was dumb as a bag of rocks.

hours on the phone for them to correct and when I asked for an explanation as to why I kept getting overcharged they basically said it was a problem with the system and on the last call I was given there word it wouldn't happen again. At the time I still had all the paperwork to show of the pricing because they told me on the last call my promo ended after 6 months but after I showed them the paper they corrected it and gave me there word I would not have to call again and there would be notes in my file like they told me from the start. This whole experience with dish has been horrible you can send me a box and I will put your equipment in it. Your company has stolen from my bank account and I never agreed to the money you have taken. Now it makes so much sense why you have to put autopay on in order to get free hd for life. So your company can automatically steal from customers when they least expect it and that's exactly what happened to me. There are thousands of people that dish has stolen money from that are very similar to my situation. I work way to hard just to give my hard earned money away. It's hard to believe that the company you represent is still doing business after all of the people it has stolen money from and these are the ones who have told there story I know there are even more that don't want to deal with the hassle of spending hours on the phone and educating about what a fraudulent company dish network is. Look up dish network lies to and rips off there customers on google and you will read literally thousands of first hand accounts of the deception that is going on with the company you represent. I don't allow anyone to steal from my family. Dish has stolen $45 from my account in the past 2 months and there is no excuse for that and they attempted to steal from me 3 other times and to think I would have been a customer for years if your company would have just been HONEST a coworker of mine has the exact same story I have we both got dish right around the same time and he just shut his service off also. Look up the bbb there is a lawsuit with dish from 47 states for 6 million for having so many complaints look it up. I TOLD MY WIFE FROM THE START NOT TO GET DISH.

I left direct tv, because every month they would take a little more money from account than they were suppose to take. I ordered my satelite through Dish Network and told them the reason I was leaving Direct tv, and was assured that would not happen. I am on a fixed income, disability income, get paid once a month. My bill went from 45 dollars one month to 100.00 the next. I was not expecting it, looked at my bank account and noticed it was short. I called them and, of course, they had alot of excuses and said it would be fixed the next month. Fixed? Their way of fixing it would be to make sure that my next month's bill was 45.00. But what about the extra money they took, I don't get that back. I told them they needed to put that money back into my bank account. They said they could not do that. The owe me. They are thieves just like the rest. Can't trust any of them.

called to cancel my dish network service due to getting a better deal elsewhere can not afford $123 a month for same thing i can get for $50. I was unaware i had a upgrade contract. I will send all equipment back and was advised they will charge my account for cancelation of 230. They said they will charge my checking account because it was the last one i used to pay for service. I let them know i will pay them but dont have the money in the account at this moment. They told me they will charge it anyways. I was with them for four years. I can guarantee they lost me as a customer for life after this.

If you are thinking about satellite TV and are concerned about service, stay away from Dishnet. I've made 7 service calls to them. For the first three, they tried to get you to fix it over the phone. I know the procedure by heart but they make you do it over and over again. My TV freezes and then stops working. They sent out three different "technicians" and now I have no signal. Of course when I called again, they had me run through their over- the -phone procedures. Now I have to spend a fourth day waiting in a 5 hour window for them to come out again. Since it is a weekend the repairman won't be out until Monday. So no TV for another 2 days. I'm switching.

service guy issues - lied!
Got rid of comcast... Sky high prices. Being disabled, signed up for dish, set up in late december. Guy left his gear @ my house. Called to inform him. I was tooooo nice!
Primary remote broke in 5 weeks. He said to call him if I had any problems and he could remedy them... That was upon leaving after set up in december. Called him up to ask for older dish remote. He said he'd drop one off within a few days. Called him again... Said he'd get back to me. Texted him 4 times... No answer.
Ordered new remote... Had to pay $20.00. If he had been straight up w / me to begin with, I would understand... That he couldn't bring older working remote. But he stringing me along. So, he lied!
When I said (In text) I should have thrown his gear away... He texts back saying I have the wrong person... But it's clearly his phone number... Adam [protected].

I have had dish for quite a few years, we had very few choices where we lived. Sept 2013 we moved. I called in aug to inform them, I said I wanted keep the tv/hopper/joeys, but did not want the internet. Was excited about finally being able to get faster internet. I asked what I needed to do to move, they said bring your modem, we'll send you a box to return it. I asked are you moving the dish, because the people who bought our house do not want it. They said we will put a new one at your new house, and if you want the other removed we don't do that, but here are 3 names of companies that do. I called 2 of them, they said they don't do that, so I told the new homeowners they would have to take it down, sorry.
So then a few weeks after they hooked up my tv at the new house, I received a ridiculous bill, early termination. I called, and talked to numerous people, finally talked to arline in the office of the president... She was rude, said I had to pay early termination, I said I had it for 8 years, how is that early. She said in 2012 when I had them remount after a roof installed, they put in a new modem, and at which time I signed a 2 yr contract. I said I paid $50... Because I didn't want a contract and didn't sign for one. After a lot of other calls I spoke with angel bodin in the office of the president again. She was nicer, but insisted I signed this, I had her email me a copy, and it is not my signature. I sent her my drivers license, and she agreed, and removed the early termination fee.
Thought we were now set. She says just return the modem and some other thing, I said I only have the modem, she said ok, return it. So returned it, and here we go again... They are harassing me that I didn't take down the dish off the roof and return something off it. I said, its been 10 weeks, and no one said I had to and its gone now. So their answer is pay $220 or they will shut off my tv... Or I can cancel the tv and pay an early termination (i did sign another contract for that when I added the hopper)
They say if I want to fight them about the forgery of my name I will have to hire an attorney, and that has nothing to do with the equipment. Am I being unreasonable? Were we supposed to climb on the roof and remove parts. And how can you tell me so many weeks later? I like the tv... But am tempted to cancel and let them turn me into the collection co, but hate to mess up my credit. Thanks for listening
This exact same thing happened to me and many others that I have found on the bbb, [redacted] and consumer affairs, and many other sites. (in two days of searching I have found 500 others who have complained about forged signaturers.) please do your research before writing a response like that which means you probaly work for dish. I would like to join with you to get as many people that this has happened to together and bring a joint lawsuit against dish to prevent them from continuing with this practice. I just can not understand how they are getting away with it but I think if we group together we can get results. I am going to set up a website page for all of the people whose names have been forged and then screwed financially by dish so we can all get together to get an attorney to put them out of business for forgery and false advertising. every time I see one of their commercials that states they don't increase the price like their competitors in the second year I feel sick. my signature was also forged and I can not get dish to admit it and resolve it. I can prove it is not my signature. I am also going to the police and my congressman to try and get dish stopped for continuing to get away with forgery. please everyone who this has happened to go to the police, your congressman, state attorney so we can get them stopped and prosecuted. I have started looking for others this has happen to and I have found over 1000 people who have had their names forged on a contract that they never signed. we can win this if we all group together to go after them.
slow internet
Ever since my dish net internet service has been installed I have experienced horrible speed issues. I have done speed tests and most of them have come back around 1 mpbs. This will now be the third time they have sent a tech out to "fix" my service. One tech told me that's just how dishnet is which fills me with great optimism for it being fixed. A friend was also told by an installer not to get it at all as he has it himself for only two days before removing it from his house. Every call with them is just as bad with their magic did you unplug it miracle fix. Once when the tech was here he was on the phone with hughesnet who say that they believe 60% of the max expected speed is good...which according to my calculations on a 5meg service should still maintain above 1... maybe my calculater is broken !

I called the Dish TV 800# to get a few details about their service ( prices/fees ). I decided not to proceed with their offer. The next day their marketing department called me 6 times at 10am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 5pm so I finally answered and again declined there offer. As I was about to ask to be taken off their marketing list they hung up on me. So I called again and asked 'why do you just hang up on me'? They hung up on me again. So I called again but received and unavailable message. So I called from a different number and asked again 'why did you hang up on me'? 3 times the same man hung up the phone on me. I called a few more times but they blocked my calls. Block your number when you call and don't provide to much info. I specifically asked the 1st time I called if my information would be shared for marketing purposes and I was told 'no it would not be shared'. They definitely lied to me.

You know, if something does not sound correct, it is more than likely not so.

This does not sound like something a person would say when calling for prices. I work in retail and I ask for phone numbers all day. 99% of the people give the number. The other 1% ask questions like "ARE YOU GOING TO SHARE THE NUMBER?" or "I WOULD RATHER NOT GIVE IT OUT"
That said, they did not SHARE the number for marketing, they used it themselves.
It is scummy that they called you and then hung up on you BUT them calling you is the same thing ALL telemarketing people do.

I have about had enough of dish networks bull. I have been a loyal customer for many years. I received a call from a bank awhile back telling me that i had overdraft fees, and that I needed to take care of them. However, this was no longer the bank I used. I had not used my account with this bank in over year. After hours on the phone with the bank I find out that Dish had charged on my account over $600. I couldn't figure out why dish was charging this account. I was current with my bill and I use my other bank account always. When I called Dish the first time over this i was told that it never happened that they did not charge my bank account. Of course I am mad by now. So I get loud and I get hung up on. The next day after I calm down I call back and I get some rep on the phone who at first is working on figuring all this out. He finds where Dish did charge my account. I was charged because I was nice and paid my cousins bill for her one month a couple of years ago, well I guess she deceided not to pay and to rack up some bill. Since they had my card number for a single payment they took it upon themselves to charge me for her debt. Of course i was not happy with either when i figured this tidbit of information out. It has taken me 4 months to get dish to refund the money that they had no right to charge me and that the bank had no right to release in the first place. If you are still reading this the bank still made me pay an overdraft fee also. I guess you can't win them all.

breach of contract/collections/violations of civil rights totally pissed need help
I have or was a loyal Dish customer for several years even thru my house fire Dish had issues at first but finally got ahold of someone that wanted to make a difference and make it right which Dish did. Now I am getting screwed and it's affecting my credit negatively. Then hired a Collection company that harassed me violated my Civil Rights and yet still is not making this right.
So here is my story, My husband became very ill and has been ill on and off for the last 4 years, but thru this time I had the service we loved it, then at one point my husband took a turn for the worse and we were paying for a lot of medicines and trips to hospitals and doctors etc. and I got behind a few times but always paid what I could and worked with Dish to get them paid. When all this came down I started a chat with customer service and we set up a Dish Pause agreement. Which would allow us to get caught up with our bill and be able to restore our service when we could. I thought was all good and worked out. Next thing I know Dish closed my account and demanded the equipment back and wanted the final bill paid in full. I called atleast 4 times and talked with them and explained to customer service and supervisors that I have a copy of my chat in black and white that my service was suppose to be put on Dish Pause and charge me the 5 dollar monthly fee for doing so. One of the supervisors asked that I send a copy of the chat and that she would fix the issue. We even talked with Executive resolution team and asked to send in the chat which is our agreement in writing to them which we did and never heard back from them. No one wanted to help, the only things they ever did was credit this and that and till it came down to basically the last months service due. Next thing we are getting collections calls and letters in the mail. They even called my work 6 times, after the first time I asked them not to call me at work but they continued. I explained to them I don't owe this bill Dish network breached our agreement and I only agreed to pay the 5 dollars. And if Dish would correct the mistake I would make the payments up to date as per our written agreement. Which never happened. They continued to call and harass and embarrass me for something that was not my fault. I got so tired of it I wrote a letter to the collection company and copied Dish Network and sent one to them as well. Well the collections has stopped but it was placed on my credit file and they violated my Civil Rights and since they were employed and contracted by Dish Network Dish is responsible for this. A month and half went by and out of the blue we get a call from Jennifer Huynh in written escalations. We explained to her sent her the paperwork again for the fifth time, she looks over and asks us to send proof that my husband was having health issues which we sent 12 pages worth of stuff to verify, I am thinking maybe finally someone is here to help and let us have our beloved Dish service back! But was wrong, Her final thing was to zero out the account, Like that was such a big favor for us or something. I said look I was happy to pay what Dish and I had agreed too right now, But I want my service back. This is what I asked for, Get my service back with the same equipment type (the hopper and Joey's and we wanted a Sling adapter) plus the special of the free Ipad since we were told we would have to be setup as a new customer. But you can't do that now you have to re-qualify for the offers and you can't do that for 6-8 weeks for your credit to get fixed from Dish mistakes in the first place. We asked please isn't there something that you can do since all this you have put us through from your mistake and I am still paying for it. Just like I financed a car and since that was on there paying a little higher interest rate, and the violation of my civil rights by the company your hired which is punishable by 1000 dollars per occurrence in which we have documented proof of 3 violations so far.
I like DISH and I am sure there is someone there that can help me out and finally restore my faith in Dish Network. If you would like to contact me or my husband who has been handeling all this for us our info is below.

I upgraded our Dish Network equipment to the Hopper, the equipment install and service went as well as expected except for the fact that all my wife's rings were STOLEN! We filed a complaint with the police and we told them that the only person in our house was the technician and get this once they questioned him he confessed and stated he sold them and all rings were immediately melted down. I immediately called Dish Network filed a claim and after a month of calls they returned a message to me stating that they wouldn't do anything since they used a sub contractor. This is just unbelievable they do not accept any responsibility even though I hired DISH NETWORK and they are the ones that sent a thief to my house. I don't care what their process is how can there be no accountability on Dish Network's part? The rings cannot be returned as they were melted down and I'm sure once our legal system gets around to doing anything about it they'll find that this person has no money to make amends. Not to mention the fact that our family heirloom that was to be handed down to my daughter is GONE. My kids no longer want to have a DISH Technician any where near them they now think that every work truck will steal from them.

Just so we understand, you hired DISH network to do work and you think they are responsible for the actions of the employee.
If the employee killed someone in your family, would they have to go to jail for him breaking the law? You said "I hired DISH NETWORK and they are the ones that sent a thief to my house" which sounds like they knew he was a criminal and sent him anyway. I tried to cancel my service with Dish Network on 10/7/2013 I was told that my husband signed a contract and we could not cancel. When we first order service we were told there would be no contract and we could cancel at anytime. We then schedule an appointment and the installer came out to install the units. Upon completion the installer ask my husband to sign the installation form indicating that the work was complete and now were being told that he sign a contract. Please be advice that the form he sign never indicated it was a contract.

I've been a customer with DishTV for a couple of years. Being charged $139/Month for service. As of July 2013, I started getting charged $292/ Month for services. I contacted Dish TV, and they said this is the correct amount. My agreement with DishTV stated $139/Month. So for the past 3 months I've been charged $292/month. As of September 29, 2013, Dish TV stated that, if I didn't pay that $292/Month, my service would be terminated. And I'd have to pay a termination fee. DishTV has blocked Fox News Network. But, they're still charging the same monthly rate, even though the programming has been reduced !
