DISH Network Customer service

I have been with Dish since 1998 and had little problems with them until now. I would think that after 25 years with them they would help out a senior citizen to get my dish satellite aligned properly to get a good signal on satellite 129. They tell me that I have to pay an additional $132 a year for any service that I would need. I pay $146.40 a month and with inflation I am having a hard time keeping up as it is. They treat really old customers like dirt. If you want a great deal to join they are probably great but you should not intend to stay with them. Probably best bet is for people to go back and forth between companies since that is where you will be able to get better service and lower prices. Dish goes all out to get new customers while treating the loyal long term customer awful. As a new customer they install everything and AIM THE DISH for free but not if you are a long term customer, that is crazy.

Desired outcome: I will change over to Spectrum or some other company.

DISH Network Dish gift card promotion

DISH promotion is a scam! I received several offers for a DISH $400.00 gift card. The offer paper work did not give any info on how to receive the card in the offer paper work. Signing up for the service isn't going to give you the card. The offer paper work that comes with the gift card says to "Call your dedicated agent now!", "Get in touch with your local DISH Authorized Retailer." That's all the instructions given. When I called the number given to sign up, [protected], I started to give the gift card number and the "dedicated agent" said, "I don't need that." Nothing more was said. A month later, I received an email with the subject declaring, "Your gift card is on it's way". Great, but it doesn't come. It never came. When I called about not receiving the gift card, I was told, it's to late, I missed the dead line to receive it. REALLY! I am so done with DISH! Oh and the man who installed our dish system, didn't even leave us with any paper work on how to use the remote, or channel lineup. Disgusting. I can cancel DISH but must pay $ to do that. Disgusting.

Desired outcome: I want to receive the $400 gift card as promised in the DISH promotion.

Got ripped off and lied to by two men sales and install. Promised 500 to switch from directv. Install was fine no such thing in the system about gift card my mistake for trusting these two from Utah said both were LDS. Although we are not and used to live in Utah and trusted ugh. We live in AZ disabled veteran and senior citizens

DISH Network Billed after cancellation when they changed their programming

On March 29, 2023 I stopped using Dish service and switched over to Sling TV.

I contacted the company CANCELLING both through chat and email because calling was pointless as I would immediately get sent over to a “wait” line and then eventually be told to call back at a later time. This happened several times over a 30 day period as I continued to try to call in because I was never sure that it was cancelled.

After receiving a bill anyway I started calling back in and FINALLY got a person who cancelled the service by phone on April 26.

She proceeded to tell me that I would be charged X amount because I broke the contract.

I did NOT break the contract. DISH broke the contract with me when they failed to provide the programming that I contracted for.

Just a couple of days before the SuperBowl was to air we were no longer able to receive the channel that it aired on and are no longer able to get channel 11 programming which has all of our local Steeler football games. We were forced to purchase through another source to receive these things. We called in at the time and were told that you would get the channel back but a couple of months later you hadn’t which brought about the reason for cancelling.

I was told by the woman who did the cancellation that a loss of programming was included in the contract but included here is a copy of that contract and as you can see for yourself that is in incorrect.

if you need a copy of the contract I can send that. Nowhere does it state that they can change or eliminate any of my programming.

Desired outcome: I’m am writing all of this because I am receiving bills that I do not owe. Please have them wipe out all present and future charges. Thank you

Section 4H of the service agreement clearly covers this. They didn’t breach the contract, however as they advised you, you did.

DISH Network Can't cancel dish

My husband already spent hours on the phone several times trying to cancel our contract with Dish. He was told there would be one more bill to pay and just because he looked online if it was paid he was considered a "returning" customer and had to pay another month of fee. But even after calling about this and being told they would waiver the cancellation fee but he still has to pay for that month we still keep getting bills in our mail.

Desired outcome: Letter of cancellation confirmation. Reimbursement of time?

DISH Network Give me better customer service.

I had a service technician come out to the house because the dish had a problem and the remotes wil not work. I have tried to called them and had to wait 40 minute on the phone. When I finally talked to the lady the call was going in and out. She was not able to help me. I pay extra money to get service to the house.

DISH Network Send boxes and address to return equipment and adjust the bill accordingly

It took me at least 5 calls and hours of being on hole to finally talk to a representative. When I told them I wanted to cancel they said they would send me boxes to return my equipment. After approximately 2 weeks with no boxes I called back and again waited hours to talk to an agent and again said they would send boxes to return equipment, I still have not received boxes again and they are charging me for an additional month of service. I cancelled my autopay so they can't charge my credit card. I refuse to pay anymore and want to return my equipment which I'm not using. They also say they never received the 1st call to cancel. I thought they record their calls. most frustrating experience ever. This has been ongoing since the end of March. Sorry I didn't note the dates. I am also receiving conflicting statements and even though the online statement was more than it shouldve been I paid it. The paper statement says I still owe for another month. They also charged me late payment charges on the month I didn't use it

DISH Network dish network billing

I was contacted in February to do an upgrade to the system and pay $250 i said i was not paying that, they finally agreed to keep my contract at the same price 129.for 2 years and I would pay the uprgrade, now 2 months later they have raised my bill up to 182 and I call and they say my contract is up. I argued and they say no one can help we no one is above me to help you. Your contract expired and I continue to tell him no I was just told I was good for 2 years after they got all my upgrade money, wont let me talk to anyone else then he comes back says there all busy cant help me. He could take channels away and get it lower NO

so then he comes back says he will transfer me and now then I get a no response he comes back and says no one is here yet call back in an hour.

LIES is all I can say first they are too busy now no one is in.

DISH fix this problem

Desired outcome: Get my plan to what I was promised for the next 2 years after scamming my $250 for the scam upgrade in february.

DISH Network We were promised a $400 visa card with our first payment

We signed up for Dish Network in October of 2022. We were promised a Visa Gift Card worth $400 after we made our first payment. We never saw the card.

When Dish arrived at our South Dakota residence to install, I talked about the card and the person said when we install Dish TV in Texas we will get it. We are snowbirds. When Dish was installed in TX they said it will take 4 to 6 weeks. I called Dish Customer Service today and they said I need a code to get the Visa Card. No one ever said anything about a code. I asked if they could give me the code and they said "no". Somehow Dish knows how to bill us, somehow dish knows we have a 2 yr contract but they don't know the code. I am contacting the better business bureau and putting an alert on Facebook. This was clearly a scam from the beginning with Dish.

Desired outcome: I want my promised Visa Card

DISH Network Pay off old cable company for early cancellation

In early March, 2023, a gentleman knocked on my door Josh Houk [protected]). and sold me a contract for The Dish. He told me that The Dish would pay off my contract with DirecTV for early cancellation and they would pay up to $250. On his paperwork, there was also the name of Mark [protected] ext. 01). I called The Dish to discuss this with them and was told that they did not do this. They sent me my first bill for $90+ and when I asked them to look up my account, they could not find an account for me. I read the account number on my bill to them ([protected]), and they still said they could not find my account. The gentleman who sold me the contract had the Dish name on the Installation work order. It was installed on 3/22/23. I think I have been scammed by someone who represented your company and I either want my early cancellation fee paid to DirecTV ($225) or I want all of the equipment removed from of my house with no charges to me. I am sole supporting on Social Security and I cannot afford this kind of money. Linda Drago ([protected]@yahoo.com)

That was a third party retailer with an offer of their own. You’ll have to take the up with the retailer, as that is not a service or offer Dish provides.

DISH Network Quit billing their customers two months at a time.

We did not receive a bill amount to pay our dish network account last month from Kinetic by Windstream. I called DISH this morning 4.26.23 at 10:15 am and spoke with Richard ID#Y98 who told me our account balance was zero. After 1 hour and 10 minutes and being put on hold at least five to six times he said it was zero. I called dish network back 45 minute hold. I knew this was not right at 12:15 spoke with Frank ID #T4B who told me our bill was 305.25 this month. dish network did not bill their customers last month and sent out a double bill this month. Our statement said we owed 315.56 yet Frank said it was 305.25. We have been a customer for over 14 years. dish network takes away channels without notifying their customers. They also increase your bill without telling their customers. To file a complaint online with dish network states on their page "filing a complaint with the company can prove to be quite difficult!" It states you can file a complaint with company's support page but the problem is that the page is slow to load, and it can take a while to connect to the support agent. It goes on and on about filing a complaint but probably not hearing back from them? dish network shows over 1,200 complaints with only 23% solved. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Desired outcome: Quite increasing their rates without notice and inform their customer when they are going to take channels off the air ahead of time.

DISH Network Dish lack of CBS for months with no end in sight and no cut in the price to their faithful customers

The CBS network has been out for your cutomers for a few months. I am sick of paying for a service we don’t receive . You offer all these promos for new customers but I have been a customer for decades and get nothing, not even the channels I have been paying. And this isn’t the first time. It is very frustrating. What are you planning to do for us.?..

Great News! You are not paying for that channel. If you review your bill, there will not be a charge for CBS on there.

That said, it’s important to remember that you do not subscribe to or pay for any specific channel, and you already agreed that any channel may be removed at anytime with no compensation. That’s because you don’t pay per channel.

DISH Network Monthly TV service

We called dish on Feb 3rd, 2023 to cancel our service, representative informed us that we were paid through Feb. 24, so our service would end on that date. On March 3rd, Dish again charged us through our credit card, for services through March, $155.00 . We called again to stop service and Dish now had problems with their servers and systems and could not respond. After hours on the line in early March we were able to stop credit card transactions, but Dish continued to now send paper bills. We tried on numerous occasions to get through to Dish, but the wait times were in excess of 84 minutes. Finally on April 17th we were again able to talk to someone to cancel our service, but the representative said we could not call to discuss any charges for at least 7 days until the systems were completely up. Now Dish tells me they have so graciously waived the added charges in excess on $300.00 and I should be happy to pay the $50.00 + $28.00 for shipping their equipment back. I contend they can take that out of the $155.00 they charged me for service in March after I canceled the service. Basically Dish does not seem interested in fixing their mistakes. Their systems were down in late February, March and early April. Except billing systems.

Desired outcome: I have offered to give them the $155.00 they took from me on March 3rd billing and they send me the box to return the equipment at no charge. They refused.

DISH Network Dish Network

Dish network is overcharging me after I am in a 2 year contract. After being on hold for over an hour to speak with customer service, I was told they are having system issues and cannot fix my bill. Asked to speak with a Manager and was told she is the Manager and no one is above her. I told her everyone has a boss. She absolutely refused to get me a Manager and said she could not fix me being over charged. Companies cannot over charge their customers and say there is nothing they can do.

Desired outcome: I want the service removed immediately and with NO charges or PENALTIES. I am not at fault for breaching this contract. Dish Network has not provided me with their promise and refusal to correct my bill.

DISH Network Free Senior movie certificates

I am a shut in senior who looks forward to my free movie rental each month. I never received one fo March and April. I have called several times, left feedback to no avail.  Phone personal were of no help. But they would note my account if I'd call again. Please call me [protected].  I think DISH is a big company that need to be concerned about their customs no matter how small. DISH Network Dish internet

I can't add giga bytes to my internet! This is an ongoing problem and has been going on for a week now. The got infected by ransom ware from Amazon! The only way to remove ransom ware is to use pre saved files and os , then you have to wipe the hard drive then reload everything! Dish will not do this and because they want to do it another way they will never get back up and running!

DISH Network Lost NBC channel

Here in my area we have lost the local NBC Channel for over 6 weeks and there seems to be no resolvement in sight. I have been paying for this local channel and am still being charged for it even though it's not there. I would like compensation for this since it is a paid service. Can you explain why we have lost the channel and if it will ever come back?

DISH Network service

This all started last month. We spend 6 months in Arizona and 6 months is Indiana. We are leaveing on the 15th of April for Indiana. Last month (March) I called to have our service on hold for the 6 months while we are in IN . Well they shut down the service on March 31. I call and told them they was supposed. Well it work till April 11 it was off again. I called again and told them 15. well guess what it off again its the 10th. Don't they know their number. Please give them a calendar please! Please if you could get the problem fixed so we can watch our programs till the 15, the 15 PLEASE. If I call I just might say something they might understand. if they spoke english.

DISH Network Dish

Canceled service on 3/27/23 after being on hold 2 1/2 hrs and then payed bill online 3/30/23 as instructed by agent. I called on 4/8/23 to find out why I have not received the boxes to return equipment and apparently they reactivated the account when I paid and just credited all the extra fees to future bills. I canceled again on 4/8/23 and tried to speak to a supervisor, but was told to call back in 7 days. I am sure they will be charging me more fees even though I asked the agent set the cancellation back to the first time I canceled on 3/27/23, but she said she couldn’t. The website paying feature is questionable because the only option I could find was to restore service even though I payed all the extra fees and the 20 dollars for the return boxes.

Desired outcome: Cancel service back to the original date I canceled 3/ 27/23 and take the amount I paid 659.57 as final payment. Send boxes as was promised for the 20 dollars I was charged

DISH Network Can not contact a person in the customer service department!!!

I had my service on vacation. After the hack situation it was turned back on WITHOUT my permission. Then it did not work correctly for 2 weeks. I tried to call customer service, but the hold times were over an hour. Who has time to sit on the phone that long? I have tried to contact Dish for over a month. I was not able to get in contact with anyone. I sent several emails but never got a response. The customer service is terrible. I know the Dish system was hacked, but that is no reason for such terrible service. I have used Dish for many many many years. This is the worst I have ever seen.

Desired outcome: I want my service cancelled and my bill adjusted.

DISH Network Billing Service and lack of customer service in resolving the issue

I am being billed for two services at my home. One for the previous service and one for the new service installed on 2/16/2023.

The previous service at this address was in the name of Meredith, but that person left 15 years ago.

On 1/13/2023 I was told I could have a new service in my name and that the old service charges would stop with new billing.

That has not happened.

I have no idea where the previous person is and I have no idea what pin was established for the previous account.

Both services are for this same address and both services are being billed to the same CU account.

How can I stop the payments on the old account# [protected]

The new account # is [protected].

The old receiver no longer exists.

How do I arrange for the previous account to be closed and the billing for the last three months reversed?

Desired outcome: I want the old account closed and the overcharges reversed.I want a single billing for my new service.

Since 3/3/2023 I have spent over seven hours on hold for customer service to address my billing issue.

I have placed over 12 calls and been disconnected 4 times.

My shortest wait time was 1 hour and 16 minutes.

When I am able to have my call answered the person is unable to help me because I don't have a pin #, a pet name, or a security # - - all of which the previous person set up before she left.
