not receiving dish channels

Dear Sir/Madam:
This complaint as follows is against the Manager, Dish TV India Ltd, Sector 16 A, Film city, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 210 301.
1. I got my Dish TV installed with one TV on 30/3/2005 (VC [protected]).
2. I got my second TV added (VC [protected]) on 15/2/2007 with additional subscription of Rs. 100 per month.
3. Since I had MAXI package of channels in my first TV, I had been getting the
whole MAXI package in the second TV as well for the last more than 2 years. That was until the second week of March 2009 when all of a sudden channels like Star channels, CNN, and BBC stopped showing on the 2nd TV although my subscription was renewed up to 26/5/2009. All of a sudden without informing me Dish TV started to call the 2nd TV (with reduced number of channels) as a child TV. We do not have any child; I watch CNN and BBC on the 2nd TV.
4. It had been my understanding that whatever package is subscribed for the first TV, it is also applicable to the second TV as well. That also had been my experience for the first 2 years with Dish TV.
5. When I asked Dish TV Customer Care about the missing channels on the 2nd TV, I was given different answers by their representatives, such as “Take out the smart card from the second set top box, clean and replace”, “You have to pay extra for CNN, BBC etc because this set is for the “child”, “Read your agreement it is given in there that you have to buy the additional channels for the 2nd TV”, etc. etc.
6. I sent an e-mail to Dish TV on 15/3/2009 to restore all MAXI channels in my 2nd TV like it was before otherwise I will go to Consumer Court.
7. I sent another letter dated 30/3/2009 by courier to Dish TV to their Noida address. I asked them where is our agreement which states that the second TV (VC) will not have the same package (MAXI in my case) as the first TV (VC). I requested them to furnish a copy of that agreement to me because I have not seen or signed any agreement with this clause. I also informed Dish TV that if I did not receive a copy of the agreement by 30 April 2009, I would be left with no option but to lodge a complaint with the Jaipur District Consumer Court to redress my grievance and to compensate my loss for not getting all the MAXI channels on the 2nd TV and also the agony and mental torture in dealing with Dish TV.
8. Dish TV has not yet responded to my letter of 30/3/2009 although over 7 months have passed after the deadline of 30 April 2009.
9. Since Dish TV has completely failed to redress my grievance, I request to please ask Dish TV to resolve this case as soon as possible.

Dear Editor,
On 30th Oct 09, my son paid Rs. 3, 900/- for recharging my Dish TV account VC# [protected]. Since then I am getting an error message “Recharge your Dish TV account to avail services”.
The complain numbers are: [protected], [protected] and [protected]. Nothing has been done yet. On Sunday, after lots of cajoling, the technical support team called me up but did nothing and told me to keep the TV on for 2 hours which I did and nothing happened after that also.
I am a retired employee of CESC and my son (Supratim Bose) is working with a KPO in Kolkata and he has a shift from 11 in the morning and returns home at 2 in the morning which makes it difficult for him to stay at home and comply to whatever they are saying. However, on the very first day my son asked one of the helpdesk persons to send me a technician so that the problem can be identified and rectified. Nobody bothered to listen to him and today 3rd Nov 09 when my son called them after returning from office at 4 in the morning, a helpdesk person called Harish was very rude with him and said that I have to pay for the charges of the technician who is going to visit my place to rectify the error. When he told him that he was not going to pay for any charges, and told him that he has no other option than to move to consumer court, the helpdesk person said that we can do whatever we want to do but we have to pay.
Now this is what Dish TV Customer Service is all about and I am very frustrated with the service.
I would request you to publish this in your column and let the audience know my displeasure of being a customer of so called “Wish Karo Dish Karo” DTH Service.
I hope someone will please take it up forward and help me in this hour of need and crisis that I am facing.

unable to view channels
My name is makrand u wadekar. I am dish tv customer, my vc no. Is [protected]. I am having platinum package. From last ten days we are unable to watch & lsquo; star maaza & rsquo; channel as it is not coming in the view list. I had tried all the settings (Channel search, reset factory settings etc. ) , but only 213 nos. Of channel were searched. So I called customer care where I was told that I will get the channel within two hours. But I did’t got it so I call back customer care on next day then I was told there is technical problem and can’t say when it will be solved.
Please look into matter immediately and inform me accordingly.

Let me start with my pain points:
1. I am a customer of dish tv and exploited one.
2. Till you system works, its great but any extraordinary requriement/request is a pain. E. G ordering mod
3. You technical service is "horrible", "pathetic " in all sense.
4. You customer care team, has only pre-prescribed statements to answer to customer and even some time don't know how to talk.
5. When they transfer their call to their seniors, seniors behave in funny manner... They pick up phone and say that they are not able to hear properly. This happened multiple times and happened today on 24.10.2009 at 3.35 pm when i called for an outstanding complaint (Due since 10. Oct 2009). He (Sriram) pretended that that they are not able to hear while the first person (Manish) who received the call had clear communication.
I have this connection since may 2008. Whenever i have to call your customer care number [protected], it has been extremely horrible experience. Whenever i ordered movie on demand (Mod) it gets affected after 24 hrs.
Recently i paid subscription for one year (Valid till oct 2010 - biggest mistake) and every day-
1. I switch on my tv i have to read the message "renew your subscription to avail the service" for few minutes and then it goes off, of its own.
2. Dish tv box behave erratically some times, it shows messge that check your vc card.
3. Some time tv has no signal from dish tv box.
I have complaint for this on 10 oct 2009, repeated on 14/15 oct 2009 as no one could attend this complaint. Later on i again complaint on 16th/17th/18th and 19th oct 2009 as no one turned up. I have to live with the poor performance of dish tv. Every time i called i was asked to do some drills like switch on / off set top box, remove cable, insert cable and remove/insert card. But problem could not be solved. Once a suggestion was given to do all these things every day (Funny technical advise).
Later on 21st oct 2009, a guy came home and he had some other drill to do i. E. Check signal... And he did some thing and went off. I got sms that complaint is resolved. However to my expectation, it was no change.
I complaint again on 22nd oct 2009, 23. Oct 2009 was told that after doing all above drills that technician will visit within 6 working hours. (However defination of working hours is not known to any one). Today (24. Oct 2009) , i got an sms that mr. Mayur will visit me at 12.00 pm on 24.10.2009 and a number was given. After waiting for hours i called on the number given in sms and was told that the complaint is there, but technician will not come for next two days and was also told that such sms'es are usual.
It took 12 days for dish tv to send a technician who could not solve problem... What a customer service.
When i call the dish tv customer care, i was told that technician wll visit me within 6 hours from 9.30 am. The person on customer care was not even aware that 6 hours have passed by (As i called at 3.33 pm).. On my query to confirm till when the working hours will last the person has no answer, he even mentioned that technical department can only confirm and he has no clue. Then he transeferred this call to his senior (Mr. Shriram) , who pretended that voice is not clear and tried to handup the phone..
I am fed up of calling this customer care of dishtv as they have standard answers:
1. Aapko batana chaunga.
2. Set of drills as mentioned above.
3. No specific commitment and confidence in resolution.
To summarize, i am fed up of pathetic service of dish tv... And request you to please let me know, when this problem can be solved. I am going to again call today at 8.30 pm, if technician does not come. But i am sure that my problem will not be resolved.

I am a subscriber of dish tv connection for last 8-9 months. Previously dish tv was transmitting Etv (Chattishgarh), but after two three month they stopped the same. Customer care service is also not responding to our complaints. The region we are residing is naxal affected are and due to non transmission of Etv chattisgarh we could not get the regional news.

I brought the Dish TV on 25th Sunday (Chandra traders, champ road chennai) and informed that it will be installed within 2 days. No one came after that, I was asking the dealer who response is that it will be done today. I spoke to the dish TV customer service, who told that installation & charges will be taken by the dealer, if they want to install then i need to pay Rs.350 more and again for the package, Which gives a clear idea that these dish tv service is a real ###. and I wont recommend to anyone. Its now been around 2 weeks without any proper response.

thers is High Charge By Dealer on Monthly Subscription. I want to Know the actaual Price of yor three pakages. Because here dealer charge Rs.260 for Gold Packs While Actual Price Shown in your dish info or add is Rs. 190+ Tax so it will close to Rs.220 or something. So finally i want to Know Running priceses of your packages. As well as We want to Add Channal “Neo Spots”.

I called and talked to several people that were very helpful and then told I never spoke to anyone, I have names. This complaint is way too long to type. I have paid rs.375 / - under silver pack on 6/8/2009 as 3 months subscription for dishtv. But today on 8/9/2009 my dishtv connection is closed. And after enquiring at local collection center at new sangam electronics, sangamner dist. Ahmednagar maharashtra, it is said that company has wrongly renewed connection under platinum pack and hence connection period is over after 1 month. I agree that Direct TV needs to either be put out of business or be honest. For these people to steal from you bank account without you telling them to go into it is some nerves. Then they lie and say it wasn't anyone from their company, with their name as big as day on your bank statement. What type of people do you have in the customer service department. I know all of the people are not like that some of them that you have have given the company a bad name. They will replace some of your money and not all. I had made a payment on Oct 3, 2008 and they went in and took double. And every month your bill was wrong, I mean every month.
When I read some of the complaints about Direct TV I get angry because they lie from stealing from your bank account to making promises to replace your money, to pretending like the next month they will not bill you. They really need to be put out of business because if you steal you will lie or visa versa. This is so sad.

smart card problem
My vc number - [protected]. From last 15 days my dish tv is problem. When on my tv some chanel is comming but after 5 - 10 min it becomes blank. Only dish tv symble appears and one message comes " your smart card problems contacts service person". The service person tell that you clean the smart card and reinstal. I have done many times but same problems appears.
Please rectify the problem as earlyest possible.

I was the dealer of dishtv and i've stopped dishtv sales
Because its 3rd class service providing to its customers.
Please note that i want to do a complaint regarding dishtv's service.
Kindly note that dishtv is not providing dd channels through it's
Satellite called nss-6 at 95 deg. East. Actually dishtv is showing
All the dd channels from dd-direct plus pack by it's nearest
Dd's satellite called insat-4b at 93.5 deg. East.
So the main issue of complaint is the customers who is using dishtv
Are facing the problem of dish alignment problem.
Dishtv is providing only 60 days service to it's
Customers regarding dish antenna alignment problem.
So the problem becomes at any time and most of after warranty period.
As per percentage atleast 80% customers are facing the problem of dish
Alignment and getting no signal on their set-boxes, and after that
They have to spend 150-250 rupees to align the dish antenna by calling
Any engineer or related person after 2 months of warranty.
So, i kindly request you to please told to dishtv to show all
Dd's channels through only by their own satellite called nss-6 at
95 deg. East, so that this main complaint must be resolved
Automatically by company itself.

Dish-tv upgraded gold pack to gold saver pack without my permission. Then deducted rs. 40 to change gold saver pack to gold pack. Customer service is very bad. To contact customer care for once mince spend rs. 15/20. Can you give answer by e-mail? I am thinking about to say dish-tv good by.
We have bought dish connection at 2017. Now the vc card has been expired ans it has to be renewed. But we recharged the connection for 200 rupees through net banking at 28/12/2017 (Icici bank) , so the recharged amount has not been recharged for four days. I bought DISH TV HD Box with Recording functionality 1 and half year ago. After 5 months DISH TV box was always showing "No Signal" or "Heavy Rain". I talked with customer care and they give some solutions over phone. Some times its work. But, from the very next day the same problem started again. I requested them to send engineering to solve my problem. But, they did not. But, just after 6 month (after warranty period) they send engineer at my house. Engineer told me some parts of antenna was not working. They changed it and I paid Rs. 800 for that. Also, they changed the HD Box. But, just after 6 months same problem started again. Again engineer came to my house and told me HD box and antenna was not working. I have pay Rs. 1100 and service changes for that problem. At that time I was not agree to pay. In every 6 months DISH TV box and antenna stop working. Then the engineer called their manager and told about the situation. He called me and I requested him to stop my connection and told him to discontinued my connection.
But after, 3-4 months they called me asking me to returned back my HD BOX to them. I was extremely surprised. I paid Rs. 3090 for that connection. They told me it was installation charge and the price of the BOX is more than Rs. 4000. But, when I bought the box they told me every thing included in Rs. 3090, also nothing is mentioned in anywhere.
Please anybody can tell me what is going. Why they harass me? If I want to discontinue the connection, then have to return the BOX for what I paid Rs. 3000. Please tell me the reason behind this.
I have purchased a Samsung LCD TV on 8th mar 2017, along with it i was offered a DishTV Tru HD service as part of the offer, and was told to send an SMS with My voucher no to 57575 for a Dishtv guys to install the DTH service.

Bbc is signing off from dish tv wef 30th october2014. It is dis-appointing & astonishing just on the basis of its less popularity. Earlier several channnel like the god & tbn were removed probabaly on the said ground. Discontinuance ofchannels thus seems to be quite embarrassing for the viewers like me who have been watching the channel in question since its inception. Kindly review the decision to continue it.

Sir I wish to inform u that I have 2 dish t. v. connections taken as parent connection and add on connection. recently I found out that both the connections have been made as independant connections which is surprising as the connections are in the name of my wife mra anita chandra with same address and connected in one dish. I am finding it difficult to recharge both seperately as it is costing me more than parent and add on. my v. c nos. are [protected] recharged with titanium pack for one year on 25.2.2017 and v. c. no [protected] recharged with platinum pack on 9.9.2017 valid till feb 2017. it is requested that v. c. no [protected] be registered as parent connection in titanium pack and v. c. no [protected] as add on connection and changed to tittanium pack. the amounts may be clubbed and the new validity may be intimated to me at the earliest. regards sharad chandra

I did get a reply message that one of the DishTv representatitves would come in next 72 hrs for installtion, after about four days, i logged a complaint with customer care of Dishtv on 12th mar 2017 with the comp no : [protected], and than i was told the prob would be rectified within 72 hrs. but till date i.e 20th mar 2017 there has been no response from them, inspite of multiple calls, all i get them from is that " sorry for inconvience will get back to you latest by 24 hrs".
I hope some thing can be done about, the most disgusting thing is the impunity and apathy they show towards customers,

We are using dishtv since 2017. Every 2/3 months signal will go off without any reason (rain, storm etc). Everytime we'll call and mail customer care, they will take 2 to 3 days to send the service person. Now service person informs us what time they will come. We, working couple, keeping all work aside, wait for them to come. They never turn up on the time they mention. Every time we have to make repeated calls/mails to troubleshoot.
Now this time since October beginning we are not able to view any channel. No signal is coming as usual. They are not responding to our mails. We tried calling all customer care numbers. In interactive voice we are asked to wait for executive, but no executive picks the call at all. They have taken 6 months bill in advance in May 2017.

A complaint (No [protected]) lodged on the dish tv all india toll free number on 5th july 2009 has not been resolved till 12th july 2009. Its been 8 days only and that would be acceptable by the dish tv customer downtime standards (Or rather that is the impression i get). Interestingly the complaint was closed and a resolved status flagged off. This was intimated to me by sms on 6th july 2009, stating that dish tv "hoped that they were satisfied with resolution". All this even while not a single customer service engineer visited my premises.
Interestingly enough, there are about 10 all india numbers that dish tv has provided for taking customer calls. That is another experience in itself, where you are thanked for calling dish tv and you need to confirm whether it is dish tv really that you wanted to call in the forst place. There after.. Your choice of language and membership status is ascertained and then you are asked to be "be online, while some one will shortly attend you"... 14 attempts later, each lasting about 3 minutes waiting... I felt obiliged to disconnect. Customer service, waiting times and delivery processes?
Dish tv: you may have clocked 25 lakh users, but you cant manage one well... Its time to change (Your incorrigicle standards and my dish connection)

Besides having the slowest internet service, now Dish TV service is replacing good programing that is current and educational, such as CNBC stock reporting and analysis (Channel 208) with countless hour of mindless programing such as Undercover Boss.
This is not what I sign up for, and upset that your company makes these arbitrary changes.
I wanted to contact DISH via email, during my working hours. I am so heated. I've had DISH for a few months. When they came to install it, he ran a line from my next door neighbor's (apartment) satellite dish, instead of putting one at my apartment since we were right next door. It wasn't my idea but I didn't see any harm in it then. I mean as long as they know I'm paying my bill and it was on the up and up. Next thing you know, my neighbor moves out, and the satellite was still connected of course and my service was still intake. But yesterday I came home and I had no connection at all. I checked next door and maintenance had removed it and put it where our garbage cans are sat on trashday. I called them, explained what happened and said they would set up an appointment for me, for the next day. And said they would waive the fee of $95 for installation. Well, I didn't tell that tech to connect the wires from the neighbor's apt in the first place. He said that they could run wires/service from just one dish, to other apartments and there would be no problem. But I was just upset by the whole thing. And then, I haven't had service since yesterday at 4:30 p.m. and I'm sure I'm being charged, and no service. Maybe I'm being petty but I feel like maybe something could be done. You think. i do not remember abjectly when i bought disv tv, since time my dish tv was working fine ani had d last two days showing error 201. as per displaced instruction i have sent sms DISHTV 201, But so far problem has been not solved and still displaying veiwing card is not paired with STB. herewith i request to Dish TV authorities to solve the issue at earliest.

i am a dish customer and just got it in October, however I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when i found out that channel 10 and 12 was no longer available. I would like to see it back on, cause I am seriously thinking about going to Direct TV . PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE
We bought a new tv and we called dishtv to help us program our dish remote to our new Sanyo. We spoke to a technician who was nice but she was unable to help us (even after going through all of the troubleshooting). I asked her if I could speak with another technician. As I was asking her she said that our phone connection was breaking up and she hung up. I called back and spoke with a guy who claimed to be from the "Advanced" section (like a manager), but we found out later that he actually was not. Anyway, same problem with him... couldn't help us and he also suffered from phone connection problems and hung up. (fyi: we never moved from our den the whole time we were on the phone with them and we never have the problem of dropped calls). Anyway, we felt that was not a very professional manner to handle calls, so we called yet again and asked to speak to a manager. Jerry ID C2S, was short with us from the beginning. First of all, he was hard for us to hear b/c of all of the background noise on his end. He said it was b/c it was a call center and "of course it was going to be loud" he snidely told us. While I was explaining to him about the issue with our remote, the "dropped" calls and the fact that we still did not have a working remote, he continually interrupted. He told me a few times, "I don't care about what happened with the other technicians, what is the problem with the remote?" The entire explanation on my end took less than two minutes but he constantly interrupted like he was in a huge hurry and could not be bothered. I remarked to him, "please don't get snippy with me.. I've already dealt with bad customer service enough tonight." Then he really went off... so my husband grabbed the phone from me. My husband asked him if the phone call was being recorded. Jerry told him no, so my husband asked that it please BE recorded and Jerry said that that was not possible. So my husband said that we would record it on our end with our phone. And Jerry said that no, that would not be authorized. My husband, a former police chief, said that, yes, it is authorized if I tell you that I will record it. Jerry then said a string of ugly words and hung up on us. We are not believing this. We don't usually get into it with folks anyway, especially like this. So my husband is angry and insists that we call again. I am just frustrated and start googling direct tv. So we call again and ask to speak with a manager and we talk to Lisa ID OER, and first she tells me that Jerry is in a different office, then later on the phone with my husband, she tells him that they are in the same office, so who knows? Anyway, she tells us that she will send an email to Jerry's supervisor. Since she is at the same level as Jerry, I don't feel comfortable with that, so I ask if there is anyone higher than her that I can speak with. She says that no, her supervisor is not in. I ask her when he will be in. She says she has no idea. I tell her that that does not seem right. She tells me that she doesn't care how it seems I just have to take the email or leave it. My husband talks with her for awhile and he asks if he can record it, she says no and hangs up. I have only had dishtv for 6 months but I want out of the contract. I used to have directv and never had these kinds of problems.

I apologize immensely for both the experience and confusion you were caused by the agents who you spoke to during both phone calls. We do randomly record calls for quality assurance however that does not neither guarantee nor ensure that any particular call will be recorded. We do advise each caller of this ahead of time to ensure you are aware of the chances it may be recorded in the likely event your call is one of the randomly selected. It is company policy that we do not allow customers at any time to record a call for any reason during any part of the call while speaking with an agent for several reasons, mainly due to security. If a caller requests or advises us that they desire to record the call we do have to advise them against it and if they continue or elect to record we must release or terminate the call. This does not give an agent any excuse for a customer to be treated poorly or for an agent to be rude for any reason under any circumstance. All this information can and should be provided to the customer in a friendly understandable manner. The customer should never be treated in a way that makes them feel they need to record the call in the first place, if a customer feels they are not getting the customer service they deserve then something is wrong. I would be more then happy to document your customer complaint regarding the above agents and the lack of customer satisfaction that they provided. Please let me first start out by saying that my wife Sharon and I are very appreciative of your prompt response regarding our Customer Service Comment we posted concerning the technical support we received over the phone this past weekend.
I believe my wife summed up the events rather well with all that had transpired and our frustration. Up until this last weekend we have been pleased with your Dish Network services and the treatment we have received by the home visits your technicians have made in getting us set up and responding to our problems.
I only have a few other comments and points of interest to make on what transpired. During my conversation with Jerry (ID C2S), his unprofessional behavior over the phone got to the point where I had to enquire whether the phone call was being recorded for quality assurance as some businesses do.
He then became even more confrontational and began arguing with me that it was totally against the law. As I tried to explain that it wasn't, he then told me he would hang up if I began to record the phone call on my end because again it was against the law. I asked him if he was familiar with the federal law and then he hung up.
Without insulting your intelligence and lecturing you, Mr HaaKenson, for future reference it may be helpful as a solution to inform your employees of the following: Federal law allows recording of phone calls and other electronic communications with the consent of at least one party to the call. A majority of the states and territories have adopted this based on the federal law. In fact, thirty-eight states (I live in one of them) and the District of Columbia permits individuals to record conversations to which they are a party without informing the other parties that they are doing so.
These laws are referred to as "one-party consent" statutes, and as long as you are a party to the conversation, it is legal for you to record it.
In all fairness to Jerry (ID C2S), there are 12 states that require all parties consent, which is what I was trying to do when I asked him if I could record the conversation to forward to his supervisor. See where I'm going here? If he wasn't being rude and unprofessional over the phone, then what would he have to worry about...right? Had our phone calls been recorded for quality control & assurance of customer satisfaction, the incident over the phone would be on record for clarity as to what was actually said by both parties and the way it was said. I felt that not only did Jerry (ID C2S) display unprofessional behavior as a poor representation of your organization, but he also lacked knowledge of the law as he was argumentative about the facts.
So just to ensure that the experience I had with Jerry (ID C2S) over the phone was just a single employee with poor attitude (and not just a systemic problem throughout the entire Dish TV customer service center), I then called and spoke with a Lisa (ID OER).
When the question was first asked, "Can I record this phone call?, " her response was "It's not allowed and if you do I'll hang up" (See Jerry ID C2S and Lisa OER are in the same office according to Lisa OER). I then asked her if she could get me contact information to submit a complaint to an executive management level position on what had occurred that evening. Her reply was, "it would do you no good sir", "you can't speak to them and they don't care anyway", "we are the only ones". I then asked "at any time I call?" Her reply, "yes sir, anytime you call, just us".
I then asked if there was a website for comments and complaints. Her reply:
"No sir, we have no such thing, just us". I then replied with, "I can't believe what you just said, that's impossible and it can't be true". I then stated that I couldn't see any executive from the Dish Network not caring about the treatment their customers were receiving over the phone after business hours.
I then asked her again if I could record the conversation and she said, "Sir, I will hang up." I replied, " Even on a customer needing assistance..?"
her last response was, and I quote: "Sir we are not 911 here and we have the right at any time to end a conversation with our customers and hang up on them" End Quote. One second later, she hangs up. I rest my case...
In closing, we had moved into our new home in a very large new subdivision back in March of this year. Since signing on with Dish Network, our average bill has been $80 to $90 a month, doing the math that's over $1000 a year for the 5 TVs in our home and we always pay on time. All our neighbors have similar monthly fees if not more. In our subdivision one homeowner is not allowing cable to be installed, so it is very competitive between Direct TV and DISH Network. In fact we had been with Direct TV in this same subdivision for 2 years before building a new house nearby and switching to DISH Network.
The comparison between your services and Direct TV is a topic of conversation among all neighbors on who provides the best service. I would like to think you consider us as valued customers with DISH Network, but based our experience this past weekend my wife and I are having our doubts.
I know my wife has been upset to the point we are considering cancelling our contract with DISH Network and returning to Direct TV where we had none of the types of issues for the 2 years we were with them.
We would sincerely appreciate some form of apology from MR. Jerry (ID C2S) and Ms. Lisa (ID OER) whether it be over the phone or in writing. We are not looking to have anyone terminated from their jobs, that would be your decision. We just feel as representatives of your organization at the time, we were insulted by their behavior and that their unprofessional attitude and confusion over proper customer service and the federal laws could not possibly be a direct reflection of Dish Network and the Dish Network Executive Team.
Again we are appreciative of your prompt response regarding our Customer Service Comment. I will be waiting for response to this message.

I am using dish tv since last 3 to 4 years, i am facing many problem regarding complaint of dish tv customer care.
I have 1 + 2 dish tv connection at my house, recently i have recharge my 3 dish tv 1 parent and 2 child for Rs 1800.00 on 1st of July 2009 through customer care centre. i have opted for full package recharge. i have been told that my all three connection will get full channels as i was getting it previously also with my recharge. after 6 hours my dish tv has been updated but one child connection does'nt get star packeges, no sports channels and many more channel is not comming. i again call customer care for complaint on 2nd july the lady has taken my complaint and told me that i have updated your account and also refresh the channel also now you will get all your channels. my customer complaint no was given to me was [protected]. but i had got no result.
again i have call customer care on 4th july today at Ahmedabad customer guy call Mohan told me that you had no complaint with us i have told him the No also but he say there is no such complaint. then i had told him my problem that my one child VC is not getting certain channels, he told me that you will not get the channel and you have to pay for that channel. This company is cheating the customers. Every now and then they are demanding extra payments for different channels for which I have not demanded or they are demanding extra money for already subscribed channels. Today there are three of their transponders are not working, thus many channels which I view are not available. If one tries to phone there is lot of time wasted on liostening to the waiting music on their phone of call center. The local distributor is not ready to help either. It is a money fleecing business. Many a times their transponders are not working; if that so occurs they should publically admit before the customers and refund the money if they are genuine people.
I wish something concrete should be done to correct this.

Today, i.e. 18-05-09, since evening the Star TV, Real and many other channels are not avaailable. Under the settings I found that the transports no.2 and 3(vertical) are showing signal quality around 0. It is your deficiency in service. May be by tomorrow these channels shall again appear following channel search. Today I tried many times but failed to get these channels. Are you going to refund me the money? As you cannot provide me back those programmes which are running now. Instead of over 200 channels only 168 channels are available.
Defaulting DTH operators should be brought to book. They are physically distant from the customer, so the customer cannot directly argue with them, the network of distributors and local agents provide them with the protection because of inaccessbility.

At airoli navi-mumbai. & they had refitted dish. For which i paid rs 225/-
For reconnecting & to activate dish signals, i have visited almost everyday (10 days) to your local center but every time they are answering me that your server is down. That’s why we can not reconnect / reactivate my dish tv connection.

The site is not at opening and Iam not able to renew. I went to the agent at Ananapur AP they informed that site is not active since 11th of this month. even today the site is not rectified. It is surprising the Compay which boasitng of 25 millon customers is not paying attention to rectify their web site. It is sheer negligence or may they think that since once customer got one dish connection they can not go to any other connection as it will unnecessay additional expenditure. Should we think of any leagal action may be that may the only option.
