heritage emulsion paint
I feel I must contact you with my experiences of your Heritage range of paint.
I am currently renovating an Arts and Crafts design house to create my forever home and as such, decided to invest in your luxury range of paint.
I chose shade Light French Grey and collected 5litres from my local branch of Brewers in Hailsham .
Once I started on the walls my reaction was one of dismay -the shade did not resemble the shade card nor indeed grey in any way but a purple blue. Reference to the paint chart showed it to be much closer to ‘Lavender grey' than Light French. I closed the can and returned to the shop.
Brewers staff are very knowledgeable. They checked their recipe which was correct, dried some samples from my tin and agreed with me that the paint did not resemble the colour sample on the card. They rang you for guidance and was told that the paint appeared different in different lights.
With respect, those of us who use colour often ( and a range of other brands ) know this already. What I object to is spending a large sum on so called luxury paint based on a colour chart which is inaccurate at best and at worst misleading. To add insult to injury, whilst the Brewers staff agreed with my frustration, they were unable to refund the considerable cost of my paint as it had been correctly mixed by them. I had, therefore, to spend another£45 on top of the first, to correct a mistake that was not mine.
Frankly, Dulux, I am surprised at you. I expected more from your brand. Given that my experience has been time consuming and costly, I no longer have trust in your shade cards or your paint. I will be returning to the brands I have used successfully in the past and will not be making recommendations of your Heritage range to my guests, colleagues or family.
Yours frustratedly,
Gill Mills

dulux once white cotton
We bought the above paint to paint 2 bedrooms, we followed the prep instructions on the tin but it did not cover in one coat as stated. It needed 2 coats in each room so we had to buy 3 tins at £32 a tin so I hope you can imagine how disappointing this is. I have attached some pictures to show you this.

cornish cream trade mart 15 litres
Dear dulux team,
I had bought 15 litres o Cornish cream Matt paint from N&C in chadwell heath. The colour of the product is orange brown and nowhere close to a cream shade.
I want to register a complaint about the product that has been sold to me.
I have uploaded the sample colour and the colour that I had been sold.
Kind Regards
Dr Hasan Iqbal
dulux eggshell pure brilliant white. quick dry
Hi Dulux, I am a professional decorator and have been using your brands for many years as I have always been pleased with your products.
I have recently purchase your eggshell white paint and painted the wood work in three rooms including a bathroom. I was horrified to see that the paint was bubbling in the bathroom as the moisture was absorbing into the paint. I also I tested the skirting board in the bedroom with a clean damp cloth with only water. I was shocked as the paint was washing off onto my cloth.
This paint states that it is wipeable on the tin, which this is not true.
I have to purchase a different brand, Crown
Satin, to rectify this which has cost me more money and time.
Could you please respond back to me on this.
dulux weathershield max exp pbw 5lt
In July 2016 I prepped and painted the outside of my house on Anglesey according to the instructions on the can of Dulux Weathershield at £35 for each 5lts purchased from Dulux Decorator Centre Burton on Trent Inv SI03962870
I had previously been re-painting the house every 4-5 years with other masonry paints but selected yours' based on its fungicide inhibiter / stays whiter longer / 15 year protection claims etc .
In May this year I had to repaint one complete wall … which were stained and discoloured. - after just 2 years - purchased from Travis Perkins Holyhead Inv 05A98070
The wall is east facing, the only tree is 6 metres away and the house is 400 yards from the coast with several rows of houses in between
Please see attached photographs and advise

paint
I had an unopened tin of 2.5 litre Weathershield gloss white 8 year guarantee paint that has been stored in the home and out of sunlight for around 2 years.
The code on the label is 2051269.
I opened it for the very first time today to find it is runny and cream coloured instead of white. This was not a cheap paint and I understand paint should last for years if unopened and stored correctly which this has been.
The store I purchased it from is unlikely to take it back as its over a year old but I think it is reasonable to expect the paint to last a couple of years or more if unopened.
Look forward to hearing from you.
kitchen paint frosted steel
Hi we decorated the whole house using dulux vinyl silk a few months ago, however we used kitchen paint in the kitchen which was more dearer thinking that it would be able to withstand stains e.t.c
So now when the wall has stains on and I try to wipe the stains the stains they won't come off and if I wipe with my vileda sponge the yelllow comes onto the wall. So I can't wipe the wall I had the kitchen painted by Decoraters under six months ago, unfortunately the only option I now have is to get the wall repainted which I am not happy about.

dulux non drip gloss paint pure brilliant white
In March I've decorated my whole home from top to bottom including all skirting boards, door frames and banisters and stairs I also done doors with Johnston's satin wood brilliant white, at time all matched looking lovely in white but now within the space of about 6 weeks all the hard work I've put in is all now looking yellow it looks awful the paint I've purchased from Amazon 2 tins made my dulux has ruined almost every surface in my house, I am also registered disabled and all the work took it's toll I honestly don't know how I'm going to correct all this and is certainly down to dulux for this after googling why my paint has turned yellow so quick I now understand. I've enclosed some pics but as it's nearly evening the lighting isn't good

Painted 14 doors, surrounds and skirting boards march this year using Dulux gloss, now august I am having to go over them again as they are a yellow/cream colour, I thought Dulux had overcome the problem of paint discoloration of some years ago, seems not, also when sanding lightly in preparation for a new coat I was somewhat astonished to have the paint peeling off, what a nightmare, never again.
dulux light + space paint - spring rose colour
I purchased dulux light + space - spring rose color 2.5 l at twice the price of the normal matt paint. I purchased this paint on the understanding that it would make the room feel brighter and more spacious as indicated in the catalog described under key features. I was greatly disappointed with the outcome. It was no better than the normal paint I had used before "blossom white" a shade closer to this paint. There was absolutely no brightness in light, nor did it make the space seem more spacious. The light - reflecting technology described in the catalog does not justify the price as there is no difference between the normal matt paint and this so called light +space technology paint. I do not know about the other colors but would certainly never buy this twice the price paint - waste of money could have been used to paint another room

discrepancy in colour image between 2 different tones
I wanted to paint a room with 'Lemongrass' and 'Limezest 5'. They look totally different on the colour chart on your website. Having got the paints, Limezest 5 is the same as Lemongrass.
The paints were bought from Trade Paints in Epsom by the builder who has a trade account with Trade Paints.
I've had to shell out £40 as I do not want to have this paint used. The problem either lies with the colour chart on the dulux website or in the mixing of colours at Trade Paint.
Please look into the matter and I would like to be refunded as the cause of the problem does not lie with me.
Should you need more information, please get in touch.

colour tinting
The dulux customer service
Dear sir/madam
I have my new house (built in 2016) rendered with dulux acratex (100pc coventry coarse whitsunday island). I needed one more bucket for my masonry letterbox and flower bed. I went to dulux trade centre (1240 albany hwy, cannington wa 6107) early in the morning on monday on the way to my office. I took the leftover bucket with me to show them the colour on the label. By looking at the label they advised me to go to the dulux trade centre, malaga (1910 beach rd, malaga wa 6090) because their tinting machines are different and there might be a minor difference in colour if they make it for me. I was disappointed that why the machines are different at different centres and I had to drive 1.5 hour (both way) just to get a bucket of paint. Anyhow I left my office at 4pm and arrived at dulux trade centre malaga at 4.45pm. I told them about the advice given by cannington centre. The person replied "I am sorry but that the particular machine/line closes at 3pm". I told them that I was there at the advice of the other centre. Either they should tell me about the timings for that particular line or it should be given on your website. Your website shows opening hours for today (monday) as 06:00 - 17:00. They extended their apology for that but they said that there will be a minor colour difference if they prepare it on the other machines. I accepted the option by considering minor difference in colour and travelling again for 1.5h. However, when the letterbox completed I saw that the difference in colour was not minor rather it was an obvious difference in colour. I thought it might be due to the age difference between new rendering and the old one. The previous rendering is almost two years old. Since I had the previous leftover in the bucket so I pasted a 3-4mm thick layer from both old and new buckets on a cardboard. After drying them I measured their colour by using a minolta spectrophotometer cm-508i (minolta co. Ltd. Japan) which I have in the office where I work. The results for l*, a*, b* colour space are given in the table below.
Old paint new paint
L* a* b* l* a* b*
82.96 -0.22 5.02 84.41 -0.20 3.70
81.02 -0.42 4.78 85.08 -0.08 4.49
80.12 -0.32 4.60 85.45 -0.12 4.05
Mean values 81.37 -0.32 4.80 84.98 -0.13 4.08
Colour difference index (∆e*ab) was calculated from l*, a* and b* colour coordinates by the equation given in 'handbook of colour science 1998 (edited by the color science association of japan, published from university of tokyo press, june 1998, 7-3-1hongo, bunkyo-ku, tokyo 113-8654, japan).
∆e*ab = [ (∆l*) 2 + (∆a*) 2 + (∆b*) 2]½
Where ∆l*= l*1 − l*2, ∆a*= a*1 − a*2 and ∆b*= b*1 − b*2
By using the equation the ∆e*ab for our values = 3.7
Now according to the book, ∆e*ab between 0 to 0.5 is a trace difference and impossible to be detected by human eyesight, 0.5 to 1.5 is slightly discernible and hard to detect by eye, 1.5 to 3.0 is noticeable and able to be detected by a trained panel, 3.0 to 6.0 is appreciable and detectable by ordinary people, a difference of 6.0 to 12.0 is large and indicates a large detectable difference in the same colour group and larger than 12.0 is extreme and indicates a shift to another colour group.
Now with ∆e*ab = 3.7 it cannot be considered as a minor difference. It is a major and appreciable difference in colour. Now the colour of my letterbox (it is a big one 1.5 x 0.9 x 0.4 meter) and the flowerbed does not match with the colour of my house (a photo of my house is attached). I am going to sell my house for which I thought I should built a good looking letterbox and flowerbed to make my house more attractive to the buyers. However, by spending more than $1200 on it, I rather added a negative point for my house only because of the colour difference. It would negatively affect the attractiveness of the house to the buyer which will reduce the price of the house.
I am really disappointed that the biggest paint manufacturing company in the world has no standard tinting machines i.e. Different trade centres have different machines. The customers suffer losses only because of variation in tinting machines.
I appreciate if you could please look into the matter and find a solution for my problem.
Yours sincerely

non drip brilliant white gloss
I bought a 2.5 litre tin of non drip brilliant white gloss paint all my tools and equipment were clean but when I came to paint my door frames the paint had all what seems like paint skin in small pieces in it which has gone onto my door frames so I keep having to stop to pick them off I have been using Dulux for over 40 years and never had paint like this. Is there something wrong with it as its very frustrating when I know all my equipment is clean and I am trying to do a good job only to be let down by the paint.

sapphire salute - endurance
I am really unhappy with the Endurance paint that I purchased.
Having painted all the walls in my kids play room I found that the walls have easily marked with chalk like mars.
I am having to repaint the whole room again with the same colour but in a silk finish. The paint shouldn't be marketed as endurance as it isn't hardwearing. You only have to brush past it for marks to appear and the room looks scruffy. I am now a further £40 out of pocket and have had to take a day off work to repaint it.
I always use Dulux paint but this was a huge disappointment. I would have changed brands to repaint but it will be quicker to keep the same colour.
dulux once caramel latte emulsion
We bought a 5 litre tin of the Once Caramel Latte Emulsion paint to do our hall, stairs and landing as it is a large area and thought it would be ideal as it was a once coat paint. How wrong were we. We had taken a lot of time in preparation of the walls. We did one coat and there was streaks so we left it until the next day and applied another coat. But still the finish was streaky and a very poor finish. We then bought another 2.5 litre tin and a different roller and applied another coat but still the same so again another 2.5 litre tin was purchased and applied and still the same. We have now been and bought a 5 litre tin of the standard emulsion in another colour and are now trying this. We are now at the end of our tether and so despondent with the whole thing. I am sending this complaint as I am hoping that you will as a way of compensation to us send us a voucher or gesture of goodwill for our heartache
colour gmulsion - goose down
I purchased a tin of Goose Down matt. I am very disappointed with the result of this paint colour. It was absolutely nothing like the colour on the tin (grey) it was pale blue. Initially when painting it was the color on the tin but dried a different colour completely. I also used the Dulux colour match app once the paint was on the wall which gave me several light blue from the pictures taken. I have taken pictures but am unable to add then as the files too large. This has been hugely inconvenient and as a result has put us behind schedule with fitting a new kitchen.
once caramel latte
Bought this paint as was painting the hall stairs and landing and thought It would save us time only having to do one coat. (What a joke). We prepared the walls by lightly sanding and then washed them down.
After the first coat there were streaks and we knew then that we would have to do another coat. We had even used another new roller to see if this was the problem.
After this had dried it was just as bad, so we went and bought another tin and tried again and again it dried the same. So after buying another (3 tins of paints in total) 1 x 5litre and 2 x 2.5litre tins and the end result was just the same we are now at the end of our tether and wished we had never started.
We now are at the point of changing the paint again to the normal Matt emulsion which we have just purchased in malt chocolate and feel that we should be reimbursed as a gesture of goodwill by yourselves for all the inconvenience and frustration that this has caused us.
dulux satinwood
I purchased what I thought was a tin of dulux satinwood, on opening the paint I could see it was a different consistency, being a thinner liquid, I painted my hall doors, skirting and banisters, to find it has dried as a gloss finish.
I'm really disappointed, how can I be sure the next tin I buy will be the correct paint, as the tin clearly stated it was satinwood Once.
I know have to redo all the paintwork.
duluxe - chic shadow
I have purchased a tin of chic shadow from b and n store in Alfreton over the weekend(barcode- 2006761) after painting the room Sunday and leaving to dry over night I go to remove masking tape and the paint starts to come off in large strips! Meaning I have to spend the rest of today retouching most of the room! I have taken pictures, how can this product be saleable?
once paint
hi i brought some paint from b & q on the 28/3/18 it was supposed to be satin wood once coat but it is not it is shinny and oil bast just like gloss not satin wood that is not shinny and only take a couple of hours to dry where as this took over night we have got satin all over the rest of the house but run out so brought this and now i am not happy at all
paint is not satin
Exactly the same thing has hapoen to me this weekend.
