I reserved a Nissan Maxima but I received a Ford Fusion. I was told I get a refund but you charged my credit card the full amount. thru Thifty Car Rental. On Monday December I made a reservation for a Nissan Maxima for December the sixteen thru the eighteen. but when I went to pick up the car. they gave me a Ford Fusion. I paid for a Premium car not a Ford Fusion. they said they over booked. I want a refund because a ford Fusion is a full size card. and the Nissan Maxima is a Premium car. My Name is James E. I made a booking yesterday with EconomyBookings for a car in Los Angeles. They confirmed my reservation with Right Cars and after I made the booking, I checked the reviews for Right Cars and they are totally negative. They do not respond to telephone calls, there is no shuttle to their office and everybody had trouble with them, so I telephoned EconomyBookings to tell them this and to cancel my reservation. They will not return my deposit!

On the website I made a booking and it never said anything anywhere about cancellation fees. This is the reason I made the reservation just Incase I needed to change something. When I called the operator was nasty and ignorant. Made me feel bad and then hesitated every time I wanted to speak to

So beware when you are booking a rental through this company. I tried to contact them about my rental and they just hang up on me. Just had a unpleasant response from Karina (customer rep # 103) from Economy Bookings @ [protected] she just hung up on me.

I really hope, economy bookings helps me with my refund, but I am not sure if they will, at least based on my phone call with Karina today.
It seems that Economy bookings have their own pricing and the rental company has their own pricing which creates a disconnect in dollars you pay out of your pocket.
I am not going to use this website anymore. I used costco.com which was always great but one time I wanted to try this economy bookings and got trapped. Now I am going back to costco.com.

Be really careful with this company. I just rented a car through this website, and I was supposed to pick it up today. Although when I went to take the car, it was not available and the car rental company wanted to provide me a worse car (that costs cheaper) so I did not accept. Since they did not have a similar car and did not want to give me a better car, they canceled my reservation, and told me to call economy bookings to have my money back.
I just called Economy Bookings in order to do that, and they do not want to refund me, they are saying is not their responsibility and there is nothing they can do about it and they will charge me the full amount (but I paid to Economy Bookings by credit card, and did not have what I paid for!). That's totally illegal!

O rented a car long before my trip but was forced to cancel everything that I had planned including the car. I contacted them and sent a couple of emails hoping that it would be enough.
They answered me in 2 days saying that they actually don't do the refunds.

full coverage request and customer service quality
While I had previously O.K. Experience with EconomyBookings, this time is very bad and hopefully before taking anything from them you will think twice.
I have taken as I wanted to be completely covered, "Full coverage" which seems fair by price and it protects me from any damage on the vehicle and as I was travelling to Croatia I wanted to have piece of mind. So this time I had scratch on vehicle, scratch itself was done while vehicle was parked, which I was not worried as I have "Full coverage", but that was not the case:
I have filled Full coverage request form at the mid of July 2017 with all requested documents, but there were no response nor even any confirmation email that I have filed an request which is very bad experience at first, but I didn't make any noise about it.. so I have waited for 15 days..
I have then send an email to some sort of "customer support" and they have responded to me Aug 2nd 2017, that I am missing some documents, while this was not true, I have attached documents again inside an email, which they, at the Aug 7th 2017, accepted, with next reply:
"After receiving all documents from partners side will be sent to our Insurance Department for further consideration of your request. Insurance Department will estimate the amount to be reimbursed, taking into account all conditions of insurance, types of damage, as well as the amount that was debited by the Rental Company."
First of all:
- there is no single note on their "terms" of "Full Coverage" that someone will be "thinking", if and how much they will reimburse you
- there is no single note on their terms of "Full Coverage" that this will need further investigation as i have already provided all requested documents and payslips.
But still, It does not matter much as they already responded and I am happy at least to hear some voice from them..
From that time, I have been sending email each week for update on my request, but there is NO SINGLE reply to my emails, there is no anyone to call as they don't provide customer service number - possible because same reason..
I suggest you think twice before taking anything from them, each service they offer I would say is scam. If you really need to go trough them, then don't take any insurance from them, don't take any services which they offer, it's better to get services if needed directly from renter.
PS. I will still wait for one month for response and reimbursement and if this does not happen, then I'll go with law suit.

I booked a car through EconomyBookings.com website, they charged around 8 Euros as a down payment or insurance (I'm not sure). and when i went to car rental company (KEM - Cyprus) they coudn't find the booking on their system. I show them the booking and confermation email but they didn't cooperate and told me to contact the website, its not their problem and they can't do anything! I tried to call EconomyBookings many times, everytime they kept me on hold for long time and then hang up.

Rented a car and purchased insurance through economybookings.com while traveling in Spain. When we got to the rental office we found out that insurance we purchased is through economybooking and not through rental company. We were told that we had to pay a deposit of 600 Euros. At the time of return we had a flat tire and a few scratches on the car and rental company kept the money and said that we have to put a claim with economy booking for reimbursement. They took a month to review the claim even though all requested info was submitted and in the end denied the claim stating that rental company does not have record of any damages. Multiple phone calls were placed and every time we were told to send an email to customer service and none of the emails we sent were answered. Will be reporting them to BBB. Stay away!

They sold us insurance for a car in Mexico, which cost more than double the cost of the car rental, but when we got to the car dealership they told us that the insurance is not valid for them and that we needed to pay $2, 500 deposit instead of $100 deposit for an insured car and that it would cost us $350 to buy Collision Damage Waiver, Third Party Liability, Theft Protection, which was supposed to be included for free even if we had not bought the insurance. We tried to call the company to cancel the insurance but they wouldn't let us - this company is in Latvia and the customer care is useless, so we couldn't take the car. Much better to go to Car Rentals - they don't charge you until you pick up the car! This is a fraudulent company, please beware - we now have to involve lawyers and the fraud department for mis-sold goods!

I accidently paid for a higher insurance cover than I required, so I instantly cancelled it, today is 9 days later and we are no closer to getting the money returned I have telephoned everyday (Minimum of 20 minutes on hold) and every time I call to ask where my money is I get another lie, today I was told that I had been refunded on the 8th, three days before I made the initial booking. I rented a car from them. It was not cheap. I had to cancel over one week before the pick-up and requested a refund.
Their cancelation policy says " If you cancel 48 hours or more prior to your pick up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 20.00 EUR." So I booked the car.
However, AFTER I paid and got the voucher it said no cancelations. I lost my money. Totally dishonest!

Booking number: B61562173. We hired a car through Economybookings.com website for your Mykonos vacation. They debited EUR 307.15 from our credit card. When we arrived to the Mykonos, their agency Caldera told us that our our driving license is not valid and they did not provide us any car. Basically left us in the airport w/o a solution.Then we went to the other car rental agencies like advance, hertz, sixth, they all accepted our driving license. But of course we could only find a small car with a higher price as the result of this last minute situation. This was totally a loss-loss situation. We informed Economybookings about it and asked our money back but they refused to pay it due to the driving license issue for a car which we even havent seen. This is not our first time in europe and greece and never met such a case. The other agencies told us that this a common practice of Caldera when they dont have a car.Economybookings is not helping us within this process and we want our full money back. I took a flight to Nashville on March 22, 2017 to see my children. Upon arriving at the airport, there was a small snafu with my credit card for supplying rental deposit. I covered and corrected this with my credit card company. Meanwhile, before being able to return to rent the car, (which I called to make sure it could be held until the next day) I was informed by my daughter that she had received a call that my husband had been rushed to the hospital back home in Washington. I spent most of the night at the airport waiting on a flight home. I wasn't able to fulfill the rental agreement, and have since been told by Economy Bookings that they do not refund FOR ANY REASON. I have a legitimate refund situation, but this fraudulent company is so bent on keeping money, no matter what, that I have no other course but to make sure everyone knows what a con this is.
I have tried to go through my credit card company to dispute but Economy Bookings has come back for their money again. And again, I will write my credit card company, Capital One. I want my refund. This was an unforeseen family emergency. I want $125.35 refunded to my credit card. I have a legitimate reason for not completing the rental agreement.

Where do I start... First called to arrange pickup from airport at 10:00am, finally left with car at about 12:45pm - nearly a 3 hour process! The car... A 2014 toyota with over 83, 000 miles, no remote, no cruise control, well worn. Was quoted $148.00, wound up paying $275 because of excessive fees and they charge you a $10 per day fee if you choose to use your own insurance! Freaking robbery! Still waiting for the $100 deposit to be refunded on my credit card. Office was up two flights of stairs in a leased out portion of a clarion hotel - no markings, no choice of car, looked like several families were living there. Very strange and uncomfortable situation. Will never rent from clubs car rental orlando again or economybookings again.

I used autorentals.com which directed me to Economybooking.com when I got there the prices were in USD.. The cost for insurance was automatically added on at the end of the transaction. You have to go back to un-select that option other wise they sneakly charge consumers extra. When I got my email confirmation, it is then that i find out they have charged me in Euro's. I live in the USA. Made a booking for a car rental that I will be using in USA and they they billed in me in Euro's and stick me with the Euro transaction fee to? Seriously, and when you call them they do not answer. When you email them they provide justification as to how it is OK for them to do this.

Worst site there is. You ask for 1600hrs to 1600hrs for 11 days and get 10am pick up and 10am drop-off. And then to change the drop-off you asked to pay extra. And when you cancel the refund will take 21 days and then they will still steal a portion of your money for their troubles. Avoid at all cost!
My experience was really horrible, i was forced to pay 400 euros extra, but no clear reason was provided to me, i was obliged to take the car as i don't want to spoiled my plans.
One of the worst experiences I had in my life in Right Cars in Fort Lauderdale Airport booked via economy bookings website. A guy called Franco Carrii who claimed one time to be the owner of the business and another time the store manager and another time as just an employee, this person has demonstrated the worst example of customer service pushing us as tourists coming from Canada to buy liability insurance for 150$ despite the fact that we already have one in Canada. We asked him to give us any access to internet or a landline to contact our insurance and send it (since we had no telephone roaming in US) but he refused and said that the telephone and internet are for employees only ! We spent 3 hours in this dilemma and finally had to call the cops to come to find a way with this weird person who refused to show any understanding or cooperation. My little ones ages 6 & 11 and my mother in law 75 years old were very frustrated after 3 hours of waiting with no solution! The cops arrived and told us that its not the first time they got complaints from the same place from many angry customers about deceiving claims and bad customer service but unfortunately they cant do anything and left. There were 2 other families at the same place with us who also complained to the cops of the horrible service for similar issues trying to make them pay more for extra unneeded services. I managed to activate my roaming and we were able to send him the proof of our liability insurance and waited for another 1.5 hours until he claimed he received the mail that was sent to him 3 times and finally after total of 4.5 hours of waiting he admitted our insurance is valid but he changed his mind and didn't want to rent us the car and tore the papers after I signed them all (he probably felt he was not going to make any profit without selling the extra insurance) ! I couldn't explain our frustration as we were totally speechless, my little kid started to cry, my elder son was totally stressed and hungry and mother in law felt very sick and still recovering until now with her blood pressure. We were so frustrated and called the cops again as we had fulfilled all the requirements and there was no valid reason for him to refuse the business, the cops advised us to go to the small court and Business Bureau as what they did was totally not acceptable. I need my family rights with an official apology letter from the head of this company, full compensation for the awful situation and stressful condition to my kids and the day we lost from our vacation. This is a horrible experience and will cascade to all the official and legal channels until we get our full rights

I am very disappointed with economy bookings web site and customer service. There was a computer glitch when I booked a car online. When I received the confirmation for the car rental the return date was incorrect so I went back on the web site to re-do the reservation with the right dates and I saw that when I hit continue the end date had quickly switched to a random date. I called customer service right away to let them know. I explained what had happened thinking the customer service agent would want to help and correct the error but regretfully the only option I was given was to cancel and if I did they were going to add a cancelation fee of $20.52 Euros. Since the rental date was not correct I had no choice but to cancel the reservation. I let Marta from Economy Bookings I was not please with their web site and their customer service. I have received my credit card and there is a charge for $20.25 from Economy Bookings. I tried one more time to call Economy Bookings to see if they would reconsider this very unfair charge however Marta did not sympathize or reverse the charges.
I will no longer be a customer of Economy Bookings and would encourage anyone considering using this company to be very careful or not use this company at all. If the company is so desperate to charge $20.52 Euro for a problem that their web site caused then they can not be a reputable company.

Date of Incident: April 22, 2017
I tried, unsuccessfully, to cancel a car rental for the following reasons:
1) The offer I thought I was accepting, and for which I gave my credit card information was for a total of approximately $500.00. In fact, my credit card was charged for $640.00
2) The offer I thought I was accepting clearly stated that I would be charged immediately only $280.16, the rest to be paid when picking up the car. Instead I was charged the full amount, and at a much higher rate.
3) When trying to cancel the booking, the phone number provided for the USA is bogus. It does not work. There was no way I could find to cancel the booking.
4) When trying to cancel the booking the company name on the websites changed from EconomyBookings to Holiday Cars. I did not know which company I was actually using.
To resolve this complaint I am requesting a refund of the difference between the two rates, of $140.00

I made a Car Rent Booking through your website on 12/02/2017. the Booking number is B82075494.
Before I went to the London City Airport, I called the customer service of your company to confirm the booking. One of your colleague confirmed the booking and let me go pick up the car.
When I arrived at the Europcar in London City Airport. A Europcar staff ( A young lady, name is Mariam) told me my living address did not pass a system called “EXPERIAN”. Therefore the address did not pass that system, She could not give me the car.
I showed her my UK driving licence and my bank statement which are with my living address: Flat 14 Gooding House, Valley Grove, London SE7 8AT.
I lived this address over 5 years. And I do not know why the system did not pass the address.
However, your website and system did not ask to fill any information about the living address.
Even a foreign traveller who has not a living address in the UK should have the right to rent a car from City Airport, right?
I reported this situation twice through the customer service email which was given by your customer service colleague.
And I received the acknowledge email but no reply at all in following 21 days already.
Please investigate, solve this problem and refund me.
or I will report this to relevant authorities.

refund takes forever!
I will never use this service again and will never rent via EconomyBookings, they are terrible and absolutely unreliable! These scam artists overcharged me for more than $200 and I'm still waiting for my refund. They said they'll give me my money back any time soon, but I'm not sure about that. It takes forever and I'm already sick of waiting. Last time I contacted EconomyBookings they said they were working on than and that's actually all they said. I really hope they'll return my money.
