Yesterday, I purchased a flight ticket for a friend using my prime account (PA). While booking the price constantly shows prime price but confirmation email shows a much higher price than even the undiscounted price. I spoke to an agent over the phone and he confirmed that I purchased the ticket from my PA, but probably did not select the prime price and hence the higher charge.This is not possible - I am automatically charged the prime price when I make booking using my PA. There is no option to make a selection. Only option is to select ticket and name for ticket and contact details. I put in the passenger’s name and gave his name for contact details. I have done this before without any probelm. I also went on chat and the agent insisted that I did not purchase the ticket via PA.
I submitted forms online to request for cancellation and refund, and aslo claimed for “best price quarantee” with detailed explanations - that I was charged more than even their full undiscounted ticket, as well as in Opodo and British airways. One email reply states, since I did not select the prime price, I was charged the full price. The other states the passenger name cannot be matched with any registered PA. Obvioulsy he is the passenger and not the one who booked. Looks like no one bothered to read my submission and see many screenshots I submitted to support my case.
