Cancellation of reservation
I booked a flight (book # LNRF3W). Within 3 hours of booking I called Emirates Dubai to cancel my booking. Consultant helped me to complete the form for refund. I received acknowledgement with summary of my request. Since then followed up several times and even went to Chicago O'Hare Emirates office to cancel the reservation but they cannot helped. As per United States Department of Transportation rules, flights cancelled within 24 hours of bookings are entitled for a full refund. I also paid for the premium seats. On my second booking *reference no M28RIW, same situation as I cancelled it within 3 hours. Emirates send email that $300 per passenger will be deducted which is not the law as per Department of Transportation rules for United States when ticket is cancelled within 24 hours. If not resolve, I will file a formal complaint to my Department of Transportation as well as to Credit Card company.
Desired outcome: Need full refund on both of my Bookings as per US laws.

Domestic flight Seychelles-Praslin. 12.10
Flew Heathrow-Dubai 28th March [EK0032], then Dubai-Seychelles EK0707.
Stayed at TAJ Fisherman's Cove, Mahe for seven nights and flew to Pralsin, 5th April. We queried our luggage restrictions on the domestic flight, via the Emirates representative at the hotel {Nonia}, and asked the receptionist at the hotel to check the information given with Emirates. Same answer from both of these sources and when we checked the Emirates website - we were entitled to the same baggage allowance on the domestic flight as the international flights. However, at the airport, we were told that we could only take 2 x 23 kilos. This meant we had a stressful hour, trying to sort the luggage and paid 1,150 Seychelle rupees to leave a case there. This means we are on holiday without all our clothes and it took as some time to recover from the stress we experienced at the airport. We spoke to the Emirates representative at the airport and asked her to help, but she was unable to do this because of the way that the flights had been booked via Emirates - she could not find the domestic part of our journey on your website.
Desired outcome: Refund amount paid and compensate for:Stress experienced. We both felt ill by the time we boarded the plane.Being on holiday without a case of our clothes.

Refund of flight ticket
Hello,
I booked a flight on the 13th of February 2023 for the 22nd of February 2023 to Dubia via Emirates.
Visa application was contigent upon booking of the flight; hence i had to book the flight first before applying for the visa via Emirate visas.
My visa application refusal came back on the 20th of February 2023, stating that there are certain restrictions preventing them from granting a visa.
Part of the visa fees was refunded less £66.01 on the 22nd February 2023. I paid £330.66 and £264.65 was refunded. Even though i was advised that the full amount was refunded.
I applied to Emirates for a refund of my flight ticket on the 20th of February 2023. To my surprise, only the experience ticket of £28.06 was returned on the 27th of February. This is shocking because i didnt pay £28.06 separately, it was charged with my flight ticket as a total package of £953.90. It wasnt even possible to proceed with a flight booking without the experience booking.
Upon my enquiry, i was told that the reason why i wasnt refunded the flight ticket was because i provided only the experience number and not the flight number. Even though i wonder how this could be possible as i filled the form for fully unused flight ticket refund and included all my details including stated that i was not granted a travel visa.
Surely the ticket office knows that i cannot fly without a visa and the refund form was for my complete Emirate payment.
I am actuatlly pained and dissappointed that the flight ticket has not been refunded even though i have filled the form severally afterwards with the flight number and explained that it wasnt a case of "No Show" as i had requested flight ticket return on the 20th of February, two days before the expected date of travel on the 22nd of February 2023.
I implore you to resolve this issue, and thank you in anticipation of your favorable response.
Please find evidence of Visa refusal and Filled refund form of the 20th attached.
Desired outcome: I would like my flight ticket refunded

Damage of 2 bags
I was travelling on EK725 ON 24TH JAN 2023 dubai-dar es salaam and noticed that 2 of my checked bags were found damaged.(my PNR EUUWYW)
the agency Swissport who handles the baggage were informed and their supervisor Mr david refused to make a PIR and asked me to upload the photos on emirates site. The emirates airline site does not take any complain without PIR no. and the agency supervisor mislead me into this and I left airport.
Both bags are new and the loss is due to mishandling.
Desired outcome: replacement of bags as they are not usable for travel
Staff Incompetent at check-in at Fankfurt Int'l Airport
My trip to New Zealand with Emirates Airlines started with the check-in at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday 24.11.22. I handed over my papers to the check-in staff. Passport (Germany) and ticket. I was asked for a visa. Without a visa I would not be allowed check in. I explained that I had New Zealand citizenship and did not need a visa. He asked me why I didn't have a New Zealand passport. I explained to him that my German passport has a New Zealand citizen endorsement and therefore I don't need a visa. But he insisted and would not let me check in like that. I showed him a letter from New Zealand Immigration confirming this electronic citizen endorsement registration. He did not want to accept or recognize it. He wanted to see a visa or NZeTA. The NZ Immigration website clearly states who does not need a NZeTA. Here is the quote from the website:
"Travellers who do not need an NZeTA:
Visa holders and some other travellers do not need an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) before they travel to New Zealand.
Who does not need an NZeTA
You do not need an NZeTA if you are:
a New Zealand citizen travelling on:
a New Zealand passport, or
a foreign passport that has a New Zealand citizen endorsement."
I did not apply for a NZeTA under this condition.
Here is the link to the NZ Immigration website where this can be found: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/tools-and-information/your-journey-to-new-zealand/before-you-travel-to-new-zealand/travellers-who-do-not-need-nzeta
Why I was able to check in after all:
Because I applied for a Traveller Declaration at the beginning of October, which was required at the time for all people travelling New Zealand until 20 October 2022. I happened to still have this New Zealand Traveller Pass saved on my iPhone. Travellers to New Zealand after 20 October no longer need the New Zealand Traveller Pass.
I showed this New Zealand Traveller Pass (which, as I said, is no longer required for entry after 20 October 22) to the staff and they accepted it and let me check in. Although the Traveller Pass was out of date for entry on 5 November. Very strange!
I suspect the problem is with the Emirates system which is not up to date with New Zealand entry reqirements. Or they are not aware of this situation. So travellers to New Zealand with a non-New Zealand passport can still have New Zealand citizenship and not need a visa with the endorsement.
Please update the system for such cases.
Kind regards
an otherwise satisfied Emirates customer
Cancellation of booking at the time of boarding without notice
Dear Emirates
The Kenya High Commission -Accra registers dissatisfaction caused by cancellation bookings for H.E. Amb. E. Barine and Commercial Attache, G. Kinyuah at the time of boarding on 19th November 2022 at Kotoka Airport in Accra Ghana.
Note the tickets were bought, fully paid and confirmed on 11th November 2022 while the travel date was 19th November 2022. The bookings were cancelled at the time of boarding. It was quite frustrating noting the team was travelling for a Heads of State Summit in Niamey.
This has also resulted to costs as the travellers had paid for hotel accommodation in Abidjan for the layover of 24hrs and also for the hotel accommodation in Niamey.
Though the Ambassador managed to travel after waiting for 4hours at the Kokoto airport in Accra, his return on 26th November remains uncertain as his booking remains unconfirmed.
The Commercial attaché who is the Kenya delegation technical adviser is yet to travel to Niamey. This is frustrating.
Attached are the confirmed tickets that were cancelled without notice. REF. GKX6EF and HL4VVF
My appeal without excuses is restate the return booking for H.E. Ambassador Barine on 26th November 2022 as he cannot remain in Niamey as he has state functions scheduled for next week.
We would also appreciate compensation for the hotel costs and damages that the Commercial Attaché incurred.
Your immediate response will be appreciated.
Kind regards
Gladys

Lost baggage
I flew from Australia with two connecting flights
Broome (BME) to Perth (PER) Friday 26b August 22 Flight QF1653
Perth (PER)-Dubai (DBX) Friday 26 August 22 Flight EK 421
Dubai (DXB) - Paris (CDG) Saturday 27 August 22 Flight EK 73
The flight were in Business Class for my wife and I.
My wife get her baggage in Paris CDG and I did not get mine.
I filed the missing bag in Paris CDG with the PIR : CDGEK30033
I receive today a mail from Emirates asking me whether I received my missing bag while the Emirates site for "Delayed and Damaged baggage" still indicates that my baggage is still not found!
We are now Sunday 4th of September, more than a full week from the arrival in Paris and I still do not have any news from this delayed baggage.
Desired outcome: I just want my bag back. I don't understand how such a suitcase with my name and address indicated with several badges on the bag can be lost !
flight canceled
Emirates cancel my connection flight Dubai Miami, EK 213 September 19th, changed to the 20th.
I contacted Emirates and they told me that there will look for the Dubai connect, since I'm arriving in EK 924 Ciro Dubai at 00:40 AM September 19th and depart at EK 213 September 20th 03:10 AM, a additional 24 hours in my stop.
They asked me to call back in 24 hours to have their position, I called hundred times, is absolute insane the customer service, doesn't accept calls, when accept you wait an hour, and no one answer. Today after 3 days trying, I was able to contact them they transfer me to another department that will "only" check my documents since the Dubai connect was granted. After waiting 45 minutes a rude attendant informs me that the information, I get was wrong and isn't availability in the Dubai connect? She suggests transferring my flight Cairo Dubai to the next day and assume all the costs of hotel, meals, etc. Is this the same company that have a number the international awards as to be a world class airline? I already flew over 4 million miles and never saw a so poor customer service.
Desired outcome: Cover my cost due the fight canceled
comfort on board
I was flying from Malpensa to Dubai by EK206 on July 4th. My seat was 47C. My neighbor was an incredibly fat guy. Besides his seat, he occupied half of mine. He asked the Steward to be moved somewhere else, but the plane was full. So, he couldn't but remain there and my flight was a real nightmare. I finally reached Dubai with a severe back pain (I have herniated disc problems). I often fly for business and never experienced a situation like that before. My back is getting better, after 24 hours, though not yet really set, but tomorrow I shall have to fly back to Milano and my seat shall again be 47C... I understand that it may not be simple for Emirates to manage this kind of issues: when checking in, one is not required to declare his weight. Yet, it is also not reasonable that someone who pays some 1,500 Euro for a round trip in economy class may face this kind of situation. I am pretty sure that You shall agree.
My best regards,
Giovanni Giardini
Desired outcome: Please refund
Excess Baggage Charge
I was charged excess baggage for my flight on June 22 from Mumbai to Phoenix. I had two check in allowance for 23kg each. One was 22.6kg and the other was 5.6kg which is below the 23kg. I had a carry on and laptop bag well within the 7kg allowance. I was told at Mumbai airport that I don't have 2nd check in allowance even though the ticket clearly mentions 2 free check in and the Emirates staff told me the charge was Rs17,553 (USD $225.47) The Mumbai Emirates staff had not given me the details for the excess baggage (what was the excess baggage weight). I have two excess baggage ticket. That doesn't tell me the excess baggage weight either. I was told if I didn't pay the excess baggage my ticket would be cancelled. I am not traveling again on Emirates again. There were other US passengers that had the similar issue. Only passengers traveling to US were charged excess baggage. This is such a bad experience for me as a passenger. Please let me know what the next steps are.
Thank you
Vinita Panicker
Desired outcome: I want refund for the excess baggage charge. I need to know why I was charged 2 excess baggage even though I did not have two excess baggage. I had allowance for 2 check in and I as told I only had one.
booking reference number not received
I have booked a fare from Dubai to Lebanon, and the money is withdrawn from my credit.
Called emirates to book extra luggage, the agent couldn't find my ticket confirmation
I lost my spectacles at security gate before boarding a flight
The Date & time of Incident: [protected], 9.30 A.M. Dubai
Flight No. EK229, Dubai to Seattle, seat No:29A, Gate No. B32
There was some made rush boarding in to the flight some how I lost my spectacles at boarding point (which is black and blue frame), I found after entering in to the flight and informed the flight attendant. He took the details of my seat number, he said he asked the security to check but nothing happened. After flight started when enquired he said complain at Seattle airport emirates counter. When I approached they said to complain online. Please look in to this.
First Class Flight 415 from Sydney Australia to Heathrow Flight 15 departing on 13th April 2022 at 6am AEST
My complaints are that I was not given the Breakfast I requested. The Attendant told me that Scrambled Eggs & Lamb Sausage was no longer available, 2 hours into a 14 hour flight. Then after telling me that & advising me what I could have, which was Fresh Fruit,Yoghurt or Cereal he brought the Scrambled Eggs etc which were cold & Runny- I couldn't eat it & sent it back.
Secondly I was not asked about making up a bed for me in both legs of the flight. I have never in First Class not been asked about a Bed make-up. Especially when I was obviously distressed & was walking around as I couldn't sit for any length of time. I fly First Class or Business Class when I fly & this lack of service should not be tolerated especially in First Class.
On the 2nd leg of the flight from Dubai to Heathrow the only thing I had to eat was 1 scone with Jam & clotted cream( as I had requested) I ordered the main meal for 2 hours prior to landing but it never appeared. I am not a demanding passenger & maybe that was why I was treated so poorly.
I have told all my friends about this awful trip & each one has said that that was not how Emirates normally treats their customers, let alone First Class Customers. I felt that I would have been better to fly Economy based on this lack of Service.
Desired outcome: A Refund would be appropriate I believe.
Flight (damaged baggage)
It's a shame for Emirates to have such an unprofessional approach towards my broken suitcase upon receipt after my flight from Dubai. Same was reported and after several email they agreed to settle with an 80percent depreciation for suitcases of 5 yrs and above. The report I filed clearly mentioned the suitcase was bought only 4 months back and it was it's second use. When I claimed the whole amount following their erroneous calculation they requested me to handover suitcase to their representative to which I agreed but before I even could drop the suitcase I got below response
"Following our correspondence I note that you handed your baggage to our team in Mauritius for assessment."
"The reports indicate that the damage to your baggage is due to normal wear and tear. Despite careful handling, {minor dents, scratches, scuffs, nicks} can occur during transportation. Such damage is not covered under the airline's liability."
The baggage wasn't even handed over... Obvious abuse and unprofessionalism. A pre planned response for someone claiming their dues due to the obvious negligence and look at their unprofessionalism... wooooooow.
Desired outcome: Refund

Refund for cancellation of flights
My Emirates booking ref.# is NZQJX6.
On 26/11/21 our return flight from JNB to DXB and consequently DXB to SYD was cancelled.
Despite continuous attempts to arrange a return flight we only recently were able to return to Sydney.
Despite continued attempts by my travel agent to arrange a refund for the cancelled flights they have been stone-walled.
With the COVID pandemic continuing to rampage the world we are unlikely to be travelling for a while, thus we request a full refund be granted.
Desired outcome: Refund in full of the return flights JNB to DXB to SYD for my wife and I.
Late notification of cancelled flight
My partner and I were due to fly at 22:20 on the 30th Dec. We got confirmation of cancellation at 15:41, via email, which I did not see until 16:20. We are relocating to the UAE so have moved out of our accommodation, we have paid money on removalists and PCR testing. We now have nowhere to stay until our new flight and are required to pay more money for another PCR test. Please can someone contact me so we can get compensation for ou out of pocket expenses, and placed in a hotel while we wait for the flight to be re-booked.
Desired outcome: Placed in a hotel and compensation on out of pocket expenses
Lost Luggage
I was traveling from Delhi to New York by Emirates and my luggage was lost. Its been two weeks. No one picks up the phone at the baggage claim for Emirates window and the voicemail box is full, can't leave a message. If I call the customer care they say to patiently wait. I mean how can I wait patiently when my valuables are in my luggage. I mean who is responsible. Don't know who to contact or what to do.
Manage a booking - mobile1. Emirates.com app
Dear sir or madam,
Earlier this week I booked a return flight Ref; KM2APW in an emergency to join my parents tovisit my terminally ill relative in Dubai for a week. The next day on closer inspection i realised that instead of the return flight booking on the 31st of December, i had booked a return flight accidentally for the 31st January!.
When I received your itinerary email I logged on to ' Manage bookings' and set about going through all the stages to change the booking to the correct flight on the 31st Deccorner for approx £85. PLEASE SEE SCREEN SHOT OF MOBILE APP.
I made payment and having completed all the stages 1 - 5 the word 'Changed ' appeared in the top right of the screen, i therefore assumed payment had gone through on my debit card and the flight had been changed succesfully.
The next day upon checking my bank details i noticed the payment had not come out for the flight change? When i checked the bookings details the change to the return flight had not been made, whats more my elderly parents who are in dubai were provided the new flight details so that we could all come back together as the require assistance, I being there carer.
The screenshot clearly states all 5 sections have been completed and the word Changed signifies that the flight details change and payment HAS been made to any reasonable person interacting with the app.
I know find myself in the entirely unsatisfactory position, with no further availability to book the same flight on which my frail parents are now on for the return journey and are relying and assuming that I will be with them on that flight.
The app is both misleading and deceiving by confirming details have been changed by clearly stating all sections have been filled and the word Changed. When in reality despite putting correct payment details in and completing the transaction and there fore the ticket change has not occurred!?!
Please would you help to rectify this issue which is causing both myself and my parents significant anxiety at an already difficult time for our family. I would be grateful for your earliest attention. I have always travelled on British Airways and this is the first time using Emirates as recommended by my sister for dubai, which I intend to fly to regularly on business over the coming years based on the outcome of this resolution.
Mr Nilesh Patel
Desired outcome: Return ticket on the 31st Dec as attempted already, so that I may accompany elderly parents
