My daughter was promised 12-15 hours per week when hired by the store manager. After about 3 months her hours were cut to 3.5-8 hours per week, yet she continuously was told her hours would increase. Never happened! She gave a 2 week notice but was separated prior, and was not informed until she was shopping there one day, another associate told her she couldn't use her discount because she had been separated. My daughter was shocked because she had not been informed and she was planning to work the following day as scheduled. Manager is very unprofessional! She was incredibly rude on the phone. Told me that she would pass my name and number to the district manager so he could call me regarding my concerns, a week later and I still have received no phone call.
Claimed loss: Very poor management! My daughter was trying to fulfill her responsibilities of giving a 2 week notice, but the manager did not regard her time or commitment and decided to essentially fire her without informing her.
Desired outcome: I called the local store and requested that the District manager call me since I was denied his phone number. I am still requesting a phone call to file a formal complaint.
