I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with the treatment I have received from Farmers Home Furniture over the past year. My husband and I have invested over $10,000 in your products, expecting quality furniture and professional service. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by defective products, broken promises, and appalling customer service.
Both pieces of furniture purchased have been faulty: the wagon door has never functioned properly, and my $3,000 couch arrived torn, despite being charged for a protectant that was evidently never applied. To add insult to injury, I received a used vacuum that was clearly taken from your floor, which is utterly unacceptable. I have documented proof of these issues, yet your company has failed to take responsibility.
Moreover, your team has not provided the necessary pay-on-account information despite my repeated requests. When I sought to return the defective furniture, the individuals sent to my home attempted to intimidate me rather than address the situation professionally. To make matters worse, I have been met with threats of legal action instead of resolutions to the problems at hand. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also constitutes harassment.
I am deeply troubled by the recent actions of your store manager, who has taken it upon herself to contact my family and friends to slander my name in retaliation for my honest review. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on your company.
Farmers Home Furniture’s behavior is disgraceful. Your company clearly does not value its customers, the quality of your products is subpar, and your tactics are unethical. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with you to think twice.
Recommendation: At this point ABSOLUTELY NOT.

I purchased the refrigerator from the store located at 2130 West Broad Street in Athens, GA. I am preparing to take them to court for discrimination against the disabled in small claims court this week.
The manager lied and said she would order the fan that is needed for the refrigerator to properly function: humidity is making the shelves need to be wiped off daily. Very unprofessional staff sold me the refrigerator.

I have a hard time sleeping so I sleep in a chair and i'm looking for the right chair. I went into this location with the intention of finding a chair I like and buying one. I sat in one chair for 10 minutes to see if it fit me right and they call the authorities saying i was trespassing. How exactly am I supposed to find the piece of furniture that is right for me if I can't sit in a chair for more than a minute? these associates should lose their job or be disciplined.the black lady actually tipped the chair and put me in the floor. I've had 5 knee surgeries and have a hard time walking. Is this how you treat disabled paying customers? Sorry people. I suggest going to get furniture ANYWHERE else! These people shouldn't be in a position that deals with the public. If Farmers Home furniture managers don't understand that this store shouldn't exist. I have contacted corporate and hope they do what is right. I'm also reporting to BBB. Prattville location

Furniture payments
We bought a living room set and two mattresses from Farmers 2 years ago. We have been making payments regularly, and they're claiming we haven't in the store we bought from. We make payments in the town over. They are extremely unprofessional. They have continually called my husband while at work for amounts ranging from $7 to $300. They can never seem to keep staff members in the Tullahoma, TN or Shelbyville, TN store. One store will say we paid the next won't. Now we don't want to put anymore money in (by calculations we should owe one more payment) due to fear of them over charging us. No one seems to know what's going on, but they sure do know to call non stop for money they can't even prove we owe at this point.

I bought a living room set, chair, loveseat, rug earlier this year. Everything is fine except for the chair. The Frame is coming apart and pushing out the back. I've tried to get the issue resolved at the point of purchase in the Sylacauga store. They said someone would call and come out to take a look. It's been 3 months and not even a phone call. I bring it up each time I make my payment but I'm still waiting.
Desired outcome: I would like someone to come out and either repair the chair or replace it.
Well I'm from KY and I Bought a chair from our store and payed over 600. On the chair and it broke and they came and got it and looked at it on my front porch and 2 wks later they call me and said we can't fix this chair it's got roaches in it . My wife and I bought a sectional couch and matching recliner December 2021. We paid for the scotch guard treatment on all four pcs of furniture, not cheap. Altogether with financing it was 5000+ dollars. We have had this furniture for one year and one month. None of the reclining mechanisms on the sofa operate properly. You have to find and pull the plastic handle then either pull out the foot rest of the recliner or shimmy the back of the seat to finally get it to recline properly. They never really worked properly from day one. A few days ago one of the plastic “recline” handles just came completely out when I pulled it, so now one seat doesn’t recline at all. Then just yesterday a spring in the end seat of the sectional just popped when I sat down. So I went to open that seats recliner so I could see what had happened. Sure enough, the spring was just dangling there. It came apart from on the backside. So now there’s a big dip in the sofa where the spring has come off. Not only is it ugly it’s very uncomfortable. Now I am sure I am going to have to fight them tooth to nail to honor the warranty to get the sofa fixed or replaced. It’s only been one year and I have to get all this replaced already. Made every payment. Hope they stand by this warranty, but I have my doubts

Dryer doesn't work for over 2 months
Farmers in Scottsboro will not repair my dryer. Flat out told me it's my wiring in my house. I bought an oscilloscope test sinewave ...check great. So it's not my wires leading to the dryer. Since they did not want to fix it I DID ! I know it voided my warranty but come to find out repair made by the repair person was at fault. I was a Crew Chief in the Air Force and worked on many aircrafts. Thank God for military training. 2 months with out a dryer ! Cause they can't hire good repair personal !

Store manager wasn't in today.This is the first time I've had this problem with Farmers ever in my life since Phyllis became the finance manager. When I tried to purchase a 300.00 recliner, she wants me to make this month's payment and to be set on auto draft..This is the 2nd time I've tried to purchase something and she's had a problem...I would like the store manager to give me a call as soon as possible.My balance is 500.00 and my credit limit was 2k when I purchased in 2020...I was told my credit limit dropped to 1k in April and I'm trying to figure out her problem because it's never been a problem..Now she has stipulations and I'm sure she's causing the store to lose out on money...This is a commission based job and for some reason she's turning away business.

I bought furniture from this company I am sad to say. March of Last year 2022.
It came damaged on both couches recliner mechanism has never worked right. They sent a repair man 4 times he could never fix it and could not get parts. They said it has a two year warranty. Now the cushions are sagging. I keep getting blown off with no resolve. I told them to come get it . They will not make good on anything. Manager said i will call you tomorrow after I talk to the district manager. I show up oh I was so busy I forgot sorry my grand son has been sick ,I will be off for 4 days, i was at a meeting I will call her then.. this company has the worst furniture ever you won't get good service They lie and cheat. From the looks of all the complaints. Damage to my home
We had some furniture delivered to our home and the employee that was driving the truck backed into our home causing extensive damage to our house. We have repeatedly called the store manager at the location the furniture was purchased at which is the store in villa Rica georgia and when they do answer or return our calls which hasn't been but a few times they continue to put us off. They are refusing to fix the damage to our home so now we are having to hire an attorney to force them to pay for the damages

Hello, I have had an account with farmers about three years now. Two weeks ago I paid $1000 on my account and went in the store on 06/27/2022 and purchashed a ottoman ($499), tvstand ($499) and a sofa/loveseat ($900) that was in the back room. I paid straight out no payment plan. I asked the sales person about the couch in the back and she went to ask someone and stated one cousion sits just a little lower than the rest so I took her on her word. The movers came with the couch I sit on it and i'ts broken! I flip the couch and all springs are off but two and the piece of wood that attaches the springs still had nails in it but was out from the couch. I would not knowingly buy a broken sofa. I am really feeling cheated here with as much money I have given this company! I deserve a replaced sofa. I know it was in the as is room but I was not told the truth about the condition! So called New Recliner
I purchase my couch and recliner Easter Weekend 2022, had family over who reclined back in the recliner and it broke instantly. When i contacted and spoke to the store manager in Phenix City his words where " I know from where you are saying its broken it can not be reapired correctly. Stated he would come to my house the next day (never happened). He called two day later late around 9pm and stated he was ordering me a new recliner and would pick my current one up once he deleiverd the new one. Manger was in contact with me once after to tell me he had missed the truck fot the current week so it would be the next truck the follwoing week. I then recieved a call from a random number which I didi not answer, that number then text stating they where FHF trying to pick up my recliner. Called the store spoke to Debra explained what was going on, she assured me she would call the manager and get right back in touch which me. NEVER HAPPENED. The men working the truck came and picked up my recliner, was promised my NEW one would be delievered that night. I recived my old recliner back 3 days later absolutley RIGGED classified FIXED! Also with tears all over the bottom fabric..

Delivered all floor model furniture
Bought furniture for our new built home. Was deliverd all floor furnitue. Kitchen chairs that you could tell had several felt pieces removed offf bottom of chairs. Bed room set with knicks a drawer that will not stay closed. After delivery we went to make a payment and told them and nobody cared.
Left a message for the store manager to call me and he was suppose to call Wednesday. No call Called them Wednesdat late afteroon and they said he would call me Saturday. No call.
There also is a question on my outstanding amount due.
Good people here being treated like that is sad. and so wrong.

Washing machine
In December of 2021 I went to store in Talladega, AL and financed a washer and drier. The washing worked for 1 week. I had followed all the instructions, I shook off clothing, didn’t overload and didn’t allow anybody else in my house to touch either of them. Exactly one week of use and it wouldn’t get past the drain cycle. I did everything in the manual on troubleshooting and it still wouldn’t drain. I immediately called the office and they told me to call the manufacturer. I called several times and couldn’t get through except for once when I sat on hold for nearly an hour and then another 30 minutes while listening to people in the background but nobody would respond to me. I called the farmers office again and was told that they would have to get back to me. After a week with no call back I called again and was given the same response. I never got a call about it. The only call I got was the day my payment was due. By then I had put the washer on my front porch for them to repossess. They call me several times a day and now they have called my brother who lives hours from me, that I don’t speak to, and he sends a text saying “ you are going to get sued over $200 by farmers if you don’t pay by tomorrow “ I did not put him as a reference and I am appalled that they would give him that kind of information about my account. If they came to my address than they would see them sitting on my front porch, so they obviously haven’t attempted to get the broken washer they sold me. I’m not paying for something that tore up after a week. I am now sitting the drier beside the washer with the rental fee for it up to date inside it.
Desired outcome: I want to talk to an attorney.
