rude recruiters managers insult candidates stupid company insults people with skills
I understand that companies don't hire every candidate and they have a certain selection process-- what bothers me though are these nasty recruiters and hiring managers who just have to INSULT candidates interviewing. let me explain that this has happened to me and a friend of mine who interviewed with this company. now im a sales genius- top seller and performer in various venues...I know everything about the sales process and would be the ideal candidate for a position like what they had. now they don't have to hire me or anyone but what bothered me is that during the interview process I was actually INSULTED by the hiring manager who interviewed me...oh yes INSULTED and told im quiet oh and that he wasn't convinced I could sell- im laughing at this as I actually gave a TEN MINUTE dissertation on sales and the sales process and brilliantly described in detail everything which most people would never be able to do. they say they are looking for TRUE sales people yet completely treated me as if im a stupid unexperienced quiet person who has no idea what im talking about yet im a proven TOP performer for over ten years in sales? this was just HORRIBLE- they have NO RIGHT to insult candidates this way or even PUT DOWN their abilities..imo its VERY unprofessional- any dolt with a brain would say this is an exceptional person who understands sales beyond most others yet this jerk manager actually insulted me my speaking ability and my PROVEN SALES ability which is disgusting shame on him! he basically just treated me as if im a stupid female with no brain...what a pathetic loser? to judge and put down someone who is actually EXCEPTIONAL is a stupid and ridiculous thing to do esp if you have a position of power over that person..shame on them..
the problem is-- when someone calls you QUIET what they are doing is really trying to socially dominate you and PUT you down in MANY WAYS--especially when you are far from quiet...they are trying to demean you, your self esteem, your speaking ability, your character and in essense are saying they are jealous of you and you will never have a chance around them- most people who are threatened by someone will say this to them...I have spoken with MANY quiet soft spoken people and no one ever insults them and they get hired for many positions yet those who are exceptional, outgoing, and who threaten the idiots in places especially like Orlando where losers cohabitate will wrongly get called something like this just to be insulted for no reason. now a hiring manager or recruiter saying this to someone is just a complete domination of that person- that person has no way of defending themselves except saying "well im not quiet." really they've already lost.. and in essence its almost as if they are now arguing with the person or having to fight and in the end they will lose...the hiring manager is putting this person in a corner really and theres not much they can do...what bothers me about this pathetic interview is that I was told this by the nasty hiring manager who already decided he wanted nothing to do with me despite my brilliant answers and the fact that I spoke so intelligently for many minutes at a time about the sales process giving in depth excellent answers...to call someone QUIET after they have spoken for so long is absurd, unfair, ridiculous and a way of social dominance and utterly pathetic...a candidate can say nothing because the imbecilic recruiter has already decided they have the power and place to insult and socially dominate this person no matter what the circumstance...so the candidate not only won't get hired despite the fact they SHOULD get hired but they will also be INSULTED and have their self esteem put down by this pathetic imbecile in a management position who feels they can treat the candidate this way because they are a recruiter in a position of power over that person...this was my experience with this company and just AWFUL.
its like telling a surgeron who has performed thousands of surgeries theyre not sure that person can do that...its completely FALSE and makes no sense. what's worse is that the person I shadowed at the company knew NOTHING about sales and wasn't even a seller and was horrible- in fact everyone there seemed terrible. Sure the company isn't obligated to hire me or anyone if they choose not to but they have no right to literally insult candidates as if they have any idea...in fact im sure I could not only outsell the manager but am far better than him and maybe they are threatened by exceptional people but at this place they do not hire exceptional people but they insult them during interviews then reject them. I applied to work for these imbeciles- not only did I have all the qualifications but far exceeded them. I was told by the recruiter that someone wasn't hired by them because the person gave a silly answer to a basic question..its very strange that someone can give in depth brilliant answers and still be insulted AND rejected. im amazing at sales and its been proven. Top performer at many positions. In my interview- I gave a ten minute dissertation on the sales process, something I doubt ANYONE can do and proved I knew everything about sales. of course because I am a female he had to put me down and say I am 'soft spoken' and he's not sure I can do the position lol! ive been doing TELEPHONE SALES for over 10 years and a proven sales success and he's telling me he isn't sure I can sell insurance over the phone? is he crazy? Also I'm a sales GENIUS being able to sit there and analyze everything about sales, my call, the person I shadowed their call - EVERYTHING and this imbecile is saying he's not sure I can SELL? the sales person I shadowed was horrible and not even a sales rep! He was awful and not even selling and completely stupid and this a**hole recruiter at farmers is trying to put ME down a sales freaking genius and also trying to say im "SOFT SPOKEN" after giving a dissertation on sales? these managers these days are crazy- it seems they are threatened by exceptional people especially those who are women and its disturbing and disgusting. I think this was gender discrimination as im a pretty female and he just HAD to put me down and mistreat me in this terrible way. I KNEW I wasn't hired the minute I left- and it's really weird how recruiters these days are brain dead imbeciles who like to put down the BEST employees or potential employees and they hire complete dolts, stupid people and people who I think are just robots. for a company like this they should have been BEGGING to get a sales rep as good as me and someone not only who is so knowledgable but someone who knows everything about It and has a TON of experience- but no instead the trashy POS sales manager had to INSULT me and put me down even put down my speaking ability which is GREAT and my sales ability and say hes not sure or convinced I can SELL something ive been doing for over TEN YEARS being the TOP REP at every single place ive worked? someone needs to teach tehse idiots a lesson...they have creeps as hiring managers and really crappy trashy people who insult and put down really amazing people...screw them!
also, once these nasty hiring managers do not hire you once...they will NEVER consider you again because they are in this case JEALOUS or threatened by your abilities and would never even think to hire you however they will hire total idiots who have no ability, no experience and who are horrible at the job!
my advice to people interviewing with this awful company is just act very stupid and sit there silent and act dumb because you will be praised rewarded for it and get hired- if you make a very STUPID mistake, they wont hire you but if you just act stupid and average they will like you and take you. however, if you are exceptional and great, they will insult berate you and then reject you immediately while laughing in your face...it's a trashy and bad company beware...again what bothers me is that my talents and abilities were falsely INSULTED by the nasty manager rather than be praised for my excellent history and great sales abilities...how dare they do this to people coming in to interview--they try to break random people down? they have no place to do this...tehse people are far underqualified along with the people they hire and use their abilities to undermine demean and insult amazing candidates far above their crappy qualifications and far above their own selves...what a trashy place run by trashy crappy people...what bothers me about these terrible companies and crappy managers that do this is that, they promote STUPIDITY and bad workmanship...rather than praising and promoting individuals with TALENT INTELLECT and ABILITY they insult them during the interview process in turn trying to mess with their self esteem, their abilities...this is horrible really..is this what this society is coming down to--punishing those who are great and exceptional and rewarding idiots with no skills or abilities? this is what disgusts me about practices and companies like these that feel they can treat individuals this way...shame on them and hope they hire more dolts because that's what that terrible place deserves...

On 2/4/14 I contacted Farmers' Insurance via my auto insurance (21st Century) to obtain homeowner's insurance. I wanted to expand my coverage and had heard, I could get a better rate
when having homeowner's and auto under one "roof". My then current
homeowner's policy was with Uniguard/QBE (since 1996, no claims). I was
assigned Adam Lee (Lic # 0B90365) in Petaluma, CA as my Farmers' Agent.
There did not seem to be any problem with the application,. I was
quoted $ 770.- for expanded coverage (roughly the same I had been paying
to Uniguard). I paid the down payment of $ 211.84 by credit card, and
the new policy went into effect on 2/11/14. Thereupon I cancelled my old
policy w/ Uniguard/ QBE. On
2/24 I received a subscription agreement form for the Fire Insurance
Exchange from Farmers, which I signed and returned, together w/ a check
for $560.43. On 3/24/14 I received a cancellation
notice from Farmers (effective 5/2/14),
citing I had failed to provide a CA Fair Plan Companion Endorsement and
a Fair Plan Policy Declaration Page, none of which I had heard about
previously. The staff at Mr. Lee's office was very
friendly, but
unfortunately seemed to have limited experience with the problem at
hand. Mr. Lee made excuses, i.e."his staff has not learned the new
program yet", but expressed full confidence In Farmers "new generation
of home insurance plans"etc. After about two weeks of inquiries, phone
call and emails to Mr. Lee's office, I received the "good news"that the
California Fair Plan was now prepared to cover the Fire/Lightening risk
for an additional premium of $ 1060.-, bringing my total premium up to
$ 1832.-, or roughly 2.4 times the amount I had been quoted. Needless
to say, I have since obtained coverage elsewhere, and am confident that
the quote I received, will be the actual premium. I consider the
premium discrepancy between what I had been quoted and was finally asked
to pay by Farmers an example of highly unethical, possibly fraudulent
business practice, and am filing this complaint with the hope that
future potential customers may be spared
a similarly unpleasant experience, or even feel "bullied" into grossly
overpaying premiums in the face of being threatened with cancellation.
bad service and caused trouble
I have had farmers ins insurance for my home and auto for over 20 years I had problem with my roof and had several roofing contractors look at it and where told to call insurance company, they stated that it was damage from storms and winds. They denied coverage .I got a call from a claims adjuster by the name of Jeff Crowell from farmers and he had told me that he was coming out with my agent, Paul, and a roofing contractor of theirs.they missed several meetings when my roofer was here and waiting.well winter arrived here and they missed a few more appointments due to weather.I told them to just forget the whole thing we are getting roof fixed ourselves.so on 1-14-14 2 people arrive at my home at about 2 pm one is Jeff Crowell and the other was his contractor, who when he got out truck smelled like marijuwana.I asked them what they wanted and who they where .they said they where here to check our roof.I asked why they came here when I told them we where going to handle it ourselves and not to come out when I talked to Jeff a week before, I asked them to leave but Jeff said he would take only a few minutes, my agent was not there nor was my roofer, he was on my roof at least an hour or more, at one point I told him I had to leave he said he would be down it took him another 10 minutes he finally came down and started to rattle off stuff about the roof and finally said they where not going to cover the claim I told him to leave my property now and he went into my neighbors yard and took pictures and I demanded he leave now I told him to comeback next week and take pictures of the sing I was going to put up he said he heard that before from another company and told I am right here tough guy .I told him to get out and I got the phone and started to call the police, he and his dope smoking roofer then left he was swearing at me out the window.the police came down and I told them what happenened they left and returned about 10 minutes later and said they needed more information, the one officer stood in my drive for about 15 minutes when 3-4 more officers came down and they arrested me for assault it seems Jeff drove to police station and said I choked him I never touched him I had my nephew there with me the whole time and even a neighbor .so I guess to save his job he went and made a false police report and gets away with ift

unethical and illegal behavior
Mr. English's daughter, Dawn M Arthur, works as an agent in her father's Farmers Insurance Agency but she is not licensed by the state of Colorado (or ANY state). She refers to herself as an "agent" and uses her father's agency's computers and professional affiliations to access personal information about people who are not even Farmers Insurance customer...

I have insurance with Tennessee Farmers Insurance. My daughter was in an accident in a friend’s vehicle and was t-boned by a drunk driver in another car. We are suing the drunk driver’s insurance but farmers sent me a letter adding my daughter who doesn't have a driver’s license or learners permit JUST an ID. They increased my insurance by $800 a year and she doesn't even live with me.
not performing as agreed
Farmers has completely and totally put me against a wall, and I refuse to be bullied by their horrendous business practices... I speak for everyone and not just myself, now that I have seen i'm not alone... I have created this page for anyone and everyone who has been wronged by farmer's and am in the process of filing numerous petitions to ask that the naic (national association of insurance commissioners) conduct a full investigation of such business practices... Please join my page & join me in showing just how bad farmer's insurance is and that they cannot take advantage of the consumer this way... Please also pass the above link on to anyone else you feel will benefit from the information...
i had Farmers insurance on my business for 8 years. paid them yearly for whole amount. when the incident happen they did not do anything to support me. they used their blood sucking attorney to delay the payment for 2 years and at the end they declined the claim. i lost my home, business and savings.
i would not recommend Farmers Insurance to anyone. i been telling anyone i know to switch to other companies before its to late.
i hate Farmers and their attorney with all my heart. i wish them nothing but pain and suffering, just like they did to me.
home claims
How come `we're not hearing anything about the ordeal many people with farmers insurance
Are experiencing with claims for damage to their homes caused by the waldo canyon fire
Last june? Many homes not destroyed by the fire suffered major damage to roofs, sidings,
And interiors. One home had a hole in the roof by a pipe and embers from the fire in the attic.
Farmers insurance has refused to honor these claims and often closed the claim. People
With the same kind of claims insured by other companies (hartford, usaa, etc.) are not having this problem. The lession from this behavior is obvious.
unethical
This company did not honor their contract with my company/agency. They promise that you have control of the number of leads that you receive however; after requesting no more than 3 insurance leads per day they proceeded to send me up to 25 leads per day. I continued to call and email my requests for them to dial back my lead flow however, they continued without relent to send the same massive volume of unqualified - recycled leads. This is the same company as insureme as I ran into the same problem at the same time with this company only to find out they are owned and operated by the same company. Between the two companies they overcharged my credit card nearly $5, 000 until I finally had to cancel my card altogether. I even tried cancelling my subscription to each of these companies but without any cooperation from them. When I refused to pay they sent my bills to a law firm/collection agency who proceeded to try and collect. Warning insurance agents: be very careful and beware of these lead generation companies as they are complete scams! They will send you recycled leads and bog you down until you submit! Stay away from these fraudulent companies - they are out to get you and they will feed you a line of tumultuous b.S. That sounds good and then turn around and pick your pocket! These are some of the most unethical companies i've ever done business with; I only wish there were a way to warn more insurance agents who are considering doing business with internet lead carriers. It's too bad that they are not regulated like businesses in our industry - they get away with murder!

be careful for they will not take care of you
My daughter got hit by an older lady that had farmers insurance for her coverage. They came and did an estimate on the car and arranged for the car to be dropped off to be repaired. They also arranged a rental car for the duration of time car was at repair shop.
Anyways, the car is still at the repair shop and they made us return the rental car. This is a week before the car is going to be done. No matter what the repair shop or I did we could not get get farmers insurance to extend the rental. When I spoke to the insurance place the manager was very disrespectful to me. Talked to me like I was a 2 year old, and would not let me speak to him.
Instead of taking responsibility for his errors he pointed fingers towards repair shop and the rental company.
If any of you out there get hit by a driver that has farmers be careful for they will not take care of you like they are required to do.

I experienced the same thing. A car made an illegal right turn and smashed into my car when I was already in the right lane. We both had Farmers but the liability people decided that it would be 50/50 fault to make their life easier.. NOT MY LIFE. I had to still pay half of my deductible out of pocket when it was NOT MY FAULT. The other driver broke 3 different California Vehicle Codes but Farmers totally disregarded that. HORRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY. DO NOT BE INSURED FROM THEM.
THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU.
The repair shop will usually give a lead time for the repair and the rental car will be approved for that lead time. Ask the repair shop why the vehicle is taking longer to be fixed. If it is their error, they should cover the rental car for you until the repair job is done.
poor service
Worst experience (Farmer Ins.)
I failed a claim ([protected]-1) with farmers INS on 10/2/2011. I called Kimberley Rackley –Farmer INS claim rep. on 10/03/2011 @ 11:00 am I informed her that my car was in an accident. Kimberley stated in a very disrespectful tone “I have 48 hrs to contact you.” I said to her I understand that I was just trying to get a rental car so I could have transportation so I can get back and forth to work. She went on to explain that she had to contact her insurer to verify this claim, which I understood. So she will not approve anything until she verifies my statement with Ms. Obie Nicholson. My Ins. Rep from State Farm Ins. Also contact Kimberley on 10/3/2011 he stated that she was very rude and argumentative. So I decided on 10/3/2011 to contact her supervisor Lauran Stump. At this time she did not answer her phone so I left her a message informer her how disrespectful she is. So I called Kimberly on 10/4 she told me that she left a message for Obie Nicholson. And she also inform me that Obie Nicholson has 7 day to call her back before she could take matter’s in her own hands. I decided to do a follow up on 10/11. I asked Kimberly have you heard anything. “She said, I did speak to Obie Nicholson (she is the grandmother of the 16 year old girl whom hit my car). But I have yet to speak to the granddaughter.” So I ask her where do we stand? She went on to tell me “If the granddaughter doesn’t call me back she would have to wait until. 10/29 to get the full police report before she can do anything”. It has been 9 days without any transportation and yes my patience has worn thin. So I took matters into my on hands. So contacted the granddaughter and her mother the little girl’s mother stated that Kimberly spoke to her and her daughter on 10/10. The mother told me her daughter give Kimberly all the information Farmer‘s needed to approve my claim. I feel like Kimberly is trying to get back at me for reporting her. So she is using her position to make me suffer. By lying, stating that she has not spoken to the insurer to prolong this process.in all my year’s this is the worst experience that I had to Indore.
Thanks Mrs. Henderson

double billing
My mother and sister were on one auto policy together shen my mother bought a new car she went in and got a policy on her own and paid for 6 months in full. Right after this she became ill and was in the hospital for several months unable to speak while this happend the insurance company kept my mothers cars on my sisters policy and my sister paid for them again. Both my mother an dsister canceled thier policies and went somewhere else and sitll got billed. When my mother siad she was going to an attorney the district manager said "if you do it will cost you way more than you have already paid"

caller lies about bill due date
The last few times my auto insurance has been due, someone from farmers has called about about 10 days before the due date to say i'm in "pre-cancellation" status. That's despicable. But my next payment is due in 10 days and last week when they called, the woman literally said the due date had been the day before, putting me into a panic.
Be aware, the actual due date is august 2, and she called on july 23 and said the due date had been july 22.
I quickly looked up my bill pay and saw that i'd set the pay date for july 26 and desperately said "oh no! I must have set the pay date wrong!" at that point she became very friendly and said that would be fine. I couldn't see how that could be, and kept trying to find a way to make it better; I ended up saying i'd bump up the date after we hung up.
Then, it started dawning on me, they don't just say "no problem, just send your payment several days late. At the very least, they'd want to take a payment right then, over the phone. So I looked up the paperwork they'd sent and sure enough, the paydate i'd set was almost a week before the actual due date.
If this isn't illegal, it should be. And if there's a hell, i'm sure there's a very large room set aside for farmer's insurance executives. And good riddance; may they burn in eternal agonizing damnation!

chris neff and farmers two thieves
Our ex agent Chris Neff cancelled our auto policy without cause or notification. We only found out when the truck burned up|. He came out onthe day of the fire and assured us the truck was covered in full as well as the building it was in and all of our farm machinery". The following monday he left us a voice mail that in fact the truck ins". had been cancelled by him and our farm policy did not actually cover farm equipment/. Chris Neff is a liar and a thief". and surprise farmers backed him all the way;. Now I am out a truck full line of farm machinery building and several thousand dollars in lawyer fees'. I woder how people like Chris Neff can sleep at night!
Had that kind of issue with them recently, I contacted the insurance commissior in my state, ( which you do 2 ) and filed a complaint, then I contacted the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission ) and filed a complaint they are the big dogs, don't play their stupid games...
roof damage claims
The famers insurance is the worst. All my neighbors, surrounding my house or closed to my house, got new roofs for their houses paid by their insurances because the hails damages. But I don't get the new roof since I am with the farmers insurance. There were three roofing companies inspected my house, every one of them said my roof is damaged by hails and I need a new roof. The famers insurance rejected them all. All my neighbors who get new roofs are not with the farmer insurance. How my neighbors’ house damaged by hails and storms but mine was not. Our houses were built at the same time by same builder.
lake of help from my dm thomas mundell
My district manager thomas mundell at farmers insurance had promised me special help for special favors I did to him. Now they are trying to get rid of me since his wife found out about the special favors I gave to him and I am now not getting the help that I had been! He promised me help always and I think he should live up to what he said he would do!

All is happy till the unfortunate day comes when you actually have an auto accident. I meet in an accident where I was luckily saved, but the oncoming car hit my hood very badly. I reaslised, the car was in no shape to be fixed. It was a 2009 chevy model for which I paid $15000. My story goes as follows... I come home to file claim online... The farmers site refuses to work and accept my claim... Frustrated, I later call the helpline to file the claim. Cheerfully I was asked to take the vehicle to either farmers recommended shop or one my choice. I reviewed among choice given and took it to the recommended one. Got a rental too. A week later body shop determines its a total loss. Next days, a farmers rep visits the shop to list out damages for appraisal. He latter calls me saying there were few damages but overall its fine.. I ask him for report next day and get this pdf file with photos in it.. Most of the pictures were of small tiny marks hardly visible to naked eyes and also of few dirt marks on leg mats and seats. These pretty much looked of marks left by body shop employees...2 days latter I get a market value report of my car... Surprise, surprise... Farmers now deducts $1500 of my cars value due to those dirt marks on mats and the single sopt on seat and also the unvisible marks... Latter in the report (which was well manipulated by ccc) they have listed 25 vehciles of similar type...50% of the vehciles were of rock bottom prices which were either too far in some depressed towns or non existent in dealers outlet. Avg these low ball prices farmers now offer me $11k for a 2009 model vehcile which every dealer in the city is selling for $16, 000. Farmers rep then threatens mee too that if I dont accept what the offer, they simply will mail the cheque - salvage cost... They also threatened that if I do not accept their offer, they will try to see if they have given any waivers or any further damages could be found to further reduce the offer price. Simply dirty axxholes. Stay away from farmers insurance
payment to vendor
We ordered a wheelchair over $4000.00 base on your agents approval that we would get paid (we only accept assignment claims). Your agent wants to make the payment directly to the claimant (who is homeless). We had the claimant sign all necessary paperwork. What department can we contact get the payment paid directly to us to. The chair is expensive and he has already received it.

nightmare!
I was on my way to work one morning when the driver in the on coming lane, lost control of his vehicle and ended up coming across the double yellow line and side swiping me on my shoulder. He ended up totaling out my Suburban. I had liability insurance while he had Full Coverage, Farmers Insurance. Farmers one month later denied my claim for damages because of the other drivers claim of another vehicle in front of me making him swerve and lose control. Because there was a third party to which there are no other witness's, was allegedly involved they (Farmers) are not liable for my damages. I now have to pay $300/hour to an attorney to try and reverse their decision to deny my claim! Not to mention the once beautiful totaled out Suburban that has been sitting in my driveway for 10 months... Shame on you Farmers.
I find it interesting that the government requires us to carry insurance, insisting that we be covered in case we place harm onto another, yet creates (with the same laws) ways for insurance companies to elude their legal duty. And they put Barney Madhoff in priison for such schemes.
auto insurance - excess charges
With each new statement, I have new charges. My insurance premium has not been the same amount for longer than a two month period. I continue to receive statements with additional charges (separate from my ever changing premium) such as "Coverage Change" from 3 months ago for $25, or "Miscellaneous Charges" for $8. I have not made any changes to my coverage...
