Adding the surge protector
When you call them, there is no chance to speak with a human even if your option is not on the incredibly long list of options they would like you to choose instead. I want to add the option for the surge protection, but this is not mentioned. Just balance information and when my next reading will be. Absolute horrible customer service in every way. What a disgrace!

Disconnect/reconnect services for emergency
I am an Electrical contractor. From time to time there is an emergency where power needs to be disconnect immediatly in order to prevent a fire. The proceedure for FPL is not sufficient for contractors. There is no dedicated phone number and on numberous ocasions the technitions refuse to reconnect service after the repairs have been made. Leaving consumers with disabilities and ailments without power. Many time I personally had to put them up in a hotel because it is not humaine to do to an asthmatic patient or small children or elderly. Just today FPL came out to disconnect power for us to do a repair and refused to come back to reconnect, the technition refused to tell me his name or his supervisors name. They did not show up until 4pm after 2 seperate tickets were entered in at 9:00am. Now they are telling us they will not reconnect after the 30 minute repair and they will charge us an additional fee after they took all day to disconnect for an emergency. There needs to be a better system in place for contractor and these types of emergencies.
My neighbors ground strap has been laid across my property since 6/6/2020
My neighbor located at 22610 Bella Rita had a power failure in early June.. FPL placed a ground strap from their meter box under my fence, across my back yard, through my back yard on 6/6/2020. I was informed this was for 3 weeks via a letter left in my mailbox from Wilco Electric. I am in the process of putting up a fence with permits and I cannot proceed due to the location of the power line across my property.
I have made numerous calls to the FPL Construction and Projects office since June. No one calls back. I have left numerous messages for the Project supervisor Scott Davis at [protected] without a call back. You cannot get anywhere with the round/round with the telephone numbers for FPL customer service.
I need resolution to complete my backyard project since early June. All of my permits and quotes have expired due to the delay since no one will work with the Power Ground Strap on my property.
My address is 22620 Bella Rita Circle Boca Raton 33422
The new title ix rule is downright dangerous
2731 NE 14th Street Causeway, Pompano Beach, Florida 33062. About 2 months ago FPL hung a power line from our building to the park next door. Many calls and complaints have been made prior to the storm. We where promised it would be removed, by last Saturday August 1. Its still there. The line comes out of the room lays on the carport extend very low over to a tree and then down in the park. This is a 55 and older community and this makes our resident very scared. It looking very unsafe. I personally called spoke to a manager on July 31 and still have know response. Your quick action in this matter would be greatly appreciated. There are several work orders and complaint called in on this matter.

Home generator
I purchased a home generator over a year ago from Bill Dion at FPL. They took over a year to present the permit to the city although they took a $12, 000 check as deposit. Bill Dion ignored my calls and emails for months on end. Today I still do not have my generator and the permits are nowhere near being finalized. Its not right or fair, they should have some consequences but they dont. Shouldn't FPL bear some responsibility for this? The representative, Bill Dion (horrible representative for FPL) never even had the decency to apologize or anything. At one point I was told he didn't work there any longer, something I found to be a lie afterwards.
Presently I am being helped by a very nice young woman by the name of Alison Heidegger. She is very helpful and doing everything she can, I am grateful for her help.
However, it dosent look like I will have the generator for the second hurricane season, since I purchased the generator and gave a 30% deposit. Shoulnt FPL be responsible for something? Shouldn't there be some consequences for such a terrible job and service? If I gave service like this in my job I would be fired immediately! At the very least they should offer some kind of discount or anything to show that they made a very bad mistake. I am very frustrated that after paying a huge deposit I have nothing and Im just being left out in the cold.

Commercial vehicle in residential development leaking fluids
A large FPL commercial vehicle is leaking fluids into a puddle in the asphalt. Over the last 3 month it has left a large deep puddle of hydraulic fluid. Each time it rains the fluid slick can be seen running into the storm drain on our property. These storm drains flow into our canal. This is an illegal discharge into surface water. We have been fishing out behind our home and have seen the oil slick around the discharge outfall. It seems to be related to the large puddle from the truck. First, it is illegal to park a connercial vehicle in ta residential neighborhood in Coral Springs, FL . Second FPL has an obligation to fix the leaks no matter where the truck is parked.

Customer service
They cut down a tree in my backyard to add a new power pole a month ago and never removed the stump. When they added the new pole they didn't access by easement and drove through my yard hitting and denting my air conditioner. My home is 1 year old. I called to make a complaint with no results. I have this on security camers. Fpl said it's their hired contractors fault (pike electric).
Surge damage to a/c compressor.
Good morning, My name is Francico Nunz, I am writing to you on my elderly mother Martha Nunez F.P. L. accont # [protected].
The elecricity in the house has been surging on and off for a few days until last Monday April 20.2020 it shorted out and burned the compressor. This A/C unit as repalced 3 years ago brand new and the Installation company confirmed that the ups and down in the surge was what caused the Compressor to burn out.
My mother had to pay $490.00 to replace the compressor as she has had open heart surgery. stroke and she is going on 84 yars old. She cannot be without A/C especially during these lst few hot days.
I am asking please that ou reimburse her for the damages caused, it will be the only fair thing to do. She is retired on a fixed incoame and cannot afford this please.
The replacement Compressor was replaced on Tuesday April 21.2020 thru Picon Air Conditioning Service on Invoice # 7683375 for $490.00.
She called and spoke to someone at F.P. L. however nothing ws done so I am stepping in on her behalf.
I ask Please that she gets reimbursed for these damages as it was not her fault.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon, You can contact my mother at [protected], please note that she only speaks english.
Thank you and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Francisco Nunez (Son of Martha Nunez)
Service off
I paid my bill within the hour they came around 1 pm and disconnected my services by 2 it was paid I call and report payment they told me 24 hours! I'm furious I explain to them I have a newborn baby in the house a week old a 16 month old and with this Coronavirus services should be put back on immediately especially paying right away. I had place a stop service for 3/30 I have a deposit of 541 and I thought they'll take it from there since I didn't transfer services well now it's been 6 hours and yet no power I pass by two FPL trucks just sitting there smoking a cigarette. This is insane and unprofessional and a horrible company
The mounting of surveillance equipment , by a neighbor, onto a FPL power Pole
My immediate neighbor to my east at 132 SE 25th Ave., 33435, has mounted a surveillance camera onto the FPL power line pole on my southeast corner and their southwest corner, the pole stands on the easement. The camera is screwed into the pole and is approximately seven feet above ground level and is directed at the back of my home. It does not appear that any agency can do anything about this since it's on FPL equipment and must be reported to FPL. I am located in Boynton Beach at 124 SE 25th Ave., 33435. East of Seacrest Blvd. and across from Bethesda Hospital East. My phone number is [protected].
Note, I did send a letter to FPL's Boynton address and it was received and signed for on 2/14/2020. There was no response.

getting charged twice a month
I been charged twice a month for my electricity and it's the second time that is happened. I get my regular bill beginning of the month after I pay it 3 days later I get a final notice email and another bill the second time they add the first amount plus the next month amount. It comes up to a ridiculous price in total of around $300. I live by myself in a one bedroom apartment. Every time I try to call there's no representative available. So you just obligated to pay it if not you left without lights even after u just paid your bill : (fpl how such a huge company doesn't have one human being available totalk to?
whoever they contracted with
My dads address is 1060 sw 55 ave margate florida 33068! They had some [censored]s they sub work out to and the contractor was outside digging when viola our cable television, internet service and my father's telephone all took a big _hit! So now I have to sit in the house with absolutely no home entertainment all night long, and the cable company xfinity xfinity will be here tomorrow to investigate but that's no guarantee our television or anything else will be fixed by tomorrow after a long day working! Why do we have to be inconvenienced so because fpl and whoever they decide to contract work out to are totally inexperienced, an equipped to do a simple job? Realy raving revengeful and rightfully so!
unreliable quality of services.
SInce the last quarter of 2019, i've experienced a more than normal outages in the energy supply. Majority attributed to maintenance in the line. 80% last than 10 minutes. Is it possible to conduct those services outside of working hours? why I don't receive early warnings of "planned" outages. QoS requires improvement.

Numerous power outages and interrupts back in September. FPL refuses to confirm that I called them about power interrupts that caused the digital panel on my stove to fail. Read full review of Florida Power & Light [FPL]I paid my bill for january, but fpl says I did not pay the bill.
My name is Marianne Ritter. I live at 671 N Dixie Ave Lot #33, Titusville, Fl. My account number is [protected]. My account is listed as currently past due. However, I paid this bill on January 10, and I have my bank statements to prove the payment went through. My power is going to be shut off if I cannot get this resolved. I have been trying to get in touch with a representative from FPL, but have had no luck. Please correct this. This is an error on FPL.
additional deposit
My name is Btandi Orr. My FPL account number is [protected]. I am a 38 year old woman with lupus and kidney failure. I am disabled and do not vcd work. I'm the first to admit that I takecadvantagr of payment arrangements when they are offered, but I pay my bill. I'm worried about the current balance so I log on my account to see they have billed me another deposit for 184. I can barely keep up with the regular electricity bill and to see that another deposit was billed when I'm already barely making it is very upsetting. This is at the worst time. I dont even know how I'm paying the actual bill and you the see the account is struggling so you add more money. I just do not understand how a company can be do heartless. I cant be without electricity because of my illness so I do any and everything to pay, but this by far has completely baffled me that now it is expected of me to come up with an additional deposit on top of the bill. I think that is heartless and the public should know how you treat your struggling customers. Its downright disgusting. If anyone should want to reach out. My cell is [protected]. Thanks for your time.
turning on power
I tried to turn on service at the address 4709 pinewood ave west palm beach fpl 33407 and when they didn't turn on the power I called fpl trouble Hot line they say the power was on at the house and I told them it was not am I was sure cause the lines are not hooked up and there is no mater, so they placed trouble shooter order and this Big Fpl truck showed up .
At first the FPL guy says I can't hook this up cause there is no account set up for this property and after I told him that I had set it up to transfer from one account that I had closed to this one he says well they are checking on it so we waited and waited and then he goes and checks the meter holder and says I can hook it up but your meter cover is missing the latch but other than that it looks ok, but you need to get a new cover but other than that you be ok.and he left didn't really do anything, may I say that before that 2 days earlier I had a electrician come out and check it and he said you really don't need anything everything is intact and instructed me to call fpl to hook up the lines cause is fpl side and they don't do that so I ask him do I need to get a permit and he said for what everything is here .
So 2 hours later fpl call and said you need to have the municipality for your area come check the electric before we hook up and I saying to my self for what?
The electrician said it was ok, the Fpl guy said it was ok.and my power is still not on.
What kind of politics are we playing here?
Can I get Power from another utility co.
I think not and that's why you do what you do
