pay services and overcharge
We live in small town(Indiantown 34956 ) with no Publix or Walgreens, and so many customers with out CC, Check and cars the only big place (Rines Market) take our FPL payment for more the 20 years, now they said they don't allow to take more payments because is exclusive to Publix or Walgreens, small business in town take advantage of this peoples and charge $2.00 + (one sample is Contacto Latino, they charge $2.00 and don't know where they process this payments)
We need this services back in town, contact Rines Market (only big business in town) and reinstall this necessary services please...
electric outages
My power goes out, for hours, at least once a month... No wind, no rain, no reason! Each and every time this happens an fpl truck eventually shows up at the exact same place, puts a "band-aid" on the problem and the lights go back on. Why doesn't fpl fix the problem permanently, since they know where it is? Surely, with the over-inflated rates we pay they have enough funds to do this!
high bill/ extra fee charges
I called in about my bill and was wondering how is it the every month my bill keeps going up and after hurricane Irm I was out of light for several days so I called to speak to a manager as to how can my bill not have a slight difference from all the other months bill when I didn't have power for several days// she couldn't give me an explanation. Sad all these chargers and fees to make up for the lost they had to pay their employees who had to work overtime. Ridiculous no remorse just a rip off hey decide what they want to charge you and how much your bill will be.
Totally agree. We have not received a credit for the days that we were without service during Hurricane IRMA and find it virtually impossible to contact anyone that can respond to our questions. All of the methods of getting answers go around in circles and are non-responsive. Is there a way to actually contact a "body" or is it necessary to complain to our local governmental representatives?
my bill
They don't have any remorse for their customers. I'm a single parent with two children. I've begged and pleaded with them give me more time on my bill, which is &69.10. Every representative are telling me the same thing, there's nothing they can do and to ask a local church to pay my bill. I think it's unfair, although I didn't keep my promises on mty future payment extension, they're giving me all type if excuse for not giving me another payment extension.
They have a thing on there bills if people pay more they help people that can't pay there bill...It's a scam they help nobody...Tell you to go to go to a church what [censor]..
fpl extra deposit
I have more than $500 deposit with the fpl my credit cards my cars and the water company helped me with the payments for the hurricane irma my husband and I spent 2 weeks without work and we did not have money to pay all the bills apart from fpl I do not provide any help I have to pay additional $78 deposit extras to pay late but I could understand that they were working in the hurricane irma and spend 5 days without electricity and ahira fpl does not understand that I have no money to pay abusers just for that there is another electricity company to change us
enormous monthly bill
have moved out of my condo due to the enormous power bills which the owner, Bonita Fisher was aware of and assured me a maintenance man would correct the problem with my air conditioner.
I waited 3 months and no change in my bill and advised the owner I would not be paying the final bill.
I had left items in the condo in exchange for this bill as well.
Please contact Ms. Fisher for payment.
Respectfully,
Roberta Orban

a bill every other week!!!
Hello, I have been in fl for a few months now so I am new to the fl area. I live on south beach st, daytona in an aprtment complex, I have been getting a bill every other week! Wtf!? Of $100.00 no less. And the threating message of "we are goin to disconnect your power if not paid" can I get this looked into please!? For an upclass citizen that is moderate, but for a low class citizen, works 2 jobs and provides 3 kids and a wife, thats too much [censor] light to pay, and by weekly at that.!
ready to turn off our service
Account #[protected]
Patriot Flooring Supplies has been doing business with FPL for the last 17+ years. We have seven different accounts with you folks.
There was an oversight on this particular account and we are one month behind. I have been in touch with Mr. Miller [protected] x1000) who let me know that they are going to turn off our service today. He insist that we go to a location and pay the bill with cash or debit card to make sure this is paid.
All of other accounts are up to date. As stated before this is an oversight. I cannot believe that FPL knowing that this is a good standing customer would be subject to this treatment.
The owner and signer on the bank account is not in today and is not available. So, you are going to shut us down? All six of our locations are dependent upon this location for computer availability.
Really?
This was a scam. Please remove this complaint from your sight.
outrageous bill
How can FPL Justify billing a customer that leave the house 6:30 in the morning comes home at 10pm does not have cable only 2 tv that only on for 1 hour at night never home on the weekends does not cook A/c set at 78 degrees but end up with a bill of $175. Please someone explain this to me . This getting ridiculous FPL do better. Stop overcharging the customers because we have no other power company to go to.
Same thing happened to me. My bill was always 100-140max a month then i get a bill for 204$! I call and they just say 80percent is coming from AC. I asked them if there was anything they could do and nope just to keep AC on 78 smh i live in apartment and landlord does not care took couple months to fix. There was a leak in my AC unit. Would be nice if fpl couldve helped in some way a letter or something i could use to show landlord. N now after hurricane and AC is fixed my bill is back to normal they want to ask for another deposit 😮😮
I had the same issue this summer. I have NOT been at my condo the entire summer. FPL doble the bill during the summer. We Floridians should do something about it. FPL has all the power to overcharge us. We could create a website to get customers with the same issues and hire a firm.
power issues and unsafe lines from fpl to my house
I have been having power draw and surges for five days and fpl comes out and tells me the line to my home from the street is bad a crew will be out to fix. They tell me they fixed the issue and yet i am still having problems and feom the issue my oven, central air and dryer dont work. They have laughed in my face and refused to come out and fix my issue and are telling me its my problem i have been hung up on i have filed a complaint with a manager and nothing has helped we are me my wife and puppy in an 85 degree home and they refuse to help us i dont know what to do anymore an electrician wont even change my meter box because the city line going to the box is old and unsafe therefore going to cause my new meter box to fail i have already paid him wasted money because he could not perform work and i have lost vital appliances that as a young couple we cannot afford. I do not want the next thing be to lose our lives or come home and our dog is dead because the temporary fans in place of the blown central air arent working because we are still experiencing draws. We cannot cook we cannot keep perishable foods in the fridge because it power draws down constantly i have also on top of this complaint filed a formal complaint with the better business bureau and my next step is to take this to news channel five and cbs 12 news and take public the horrendous and neglegent customer service fpl has as well as their lazy technicians who claim to replace my line and mask their work to put the blame on and take advantage of an innocent family because of the type of neighborhood they live in. my lawyer has been notified that if my issue is not resolved and in a timely manner i will file suit my phone number is [removed] i strongly advise a call at any time of the day and night i will be waiting... AND SWEATING!

To access electrical box in front yard, crew cut front shrubs down to the roots. All to use long handle tool for box. I have pictures. I asked why they cut needlessly down well below working area.
"Oh, well, my life is worth more than your landscaping" And they went back to joking with each other.
A couple of clowns, just doing whatever they want.
billing
First of all terrible customer service! Had to wait on the phone for 50min and no resolution. I forgot to stop my electric with them and they continued to charge me after i moved out. I called my leasing office who was willing to submit the paper work but FPL did not accept that. The only thing FPL had to do is to make the switch from my account to the leasing office. They did not do so. very unhappy with this service and i have always paid my bill on time. This is bad customer service.
I have been getting billed every other week, wtf is wrong with these people!?

Dear Sir,
We wish yo tell yiu that we are very pleased with your service, and your communication to us all in trouble times.
However, we have written to yiu on this before sndvtrued to call on the ph.
A lot of foodstuff which were in the refrudferatir were spoilt and we had to throw them away.
Our man, George Mc Clary threw them out and made a list if the items.
They were valued st roughly $195.00
We will be pleased if yiu can reimburse us in some way, for this . It was caused as the power was lost, re storm Irma.
We are in zTrinidad at the time, and we are here now .
We will be in Fll. On the 4th November.
Thank you.

debris from power restoration after hurricane
Approx. 4 days after the hurricane went through, FPL was restoring power in our area. To do this they cut down trees belonging to the property behind us, and left them in our yard. When I spoke to Gladys in customer service today, she informed me that tree cutting was needed to restore power and they are not responsible for removing the debris. They cut these trees in half and left them because our yard was accessible and the property they belonged to was not, and I rather doubt this is an isolated case. Real nice dumping on your customers.
cost of energy
It amazes me that my bill stays the same with a week of no power. What amazes me even more is a $400 bill the month after a storm. Hmm, did we need to make up for some expenditures.
I keep my house at 79 to 80 degrees. I can only imagine what my bill would be if I kept it at the normal 69 to 72!
Bleeding here.
Oh, yea, by the way, I have a wire hanging in my pasture. I called to report it, no phone calls, no line crew, not a bit of communication. Also, it took way too much of my time to get past the robot on the other end of the phone to speak with a person.
billing
On Thursday October 11.2017, I call to find out way my bill was so high almost $600.00. I simply cannot afford to pay this amount with all the bills i occurred after the hurricane. I have been trying for the past couple days to speak with someone regarding this . I did make a payment for over $300.00, can FPL please assist with giving me an extension until November 1st, 2017 I promise to pay. All I'm asking is just for some time please...
I really need to help.. I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you

power outage/overcharges
My power was out for 5 days due to hurricane irma. I am still being charged for those 5 days that I was out of power. My bill stayed the same as it has usually been. When I called to and asked why I was being charged for days I didn’t have power, this guy told me that I was not charged for those days and that when my power came back on, it used so much “energy” to restore the power and that it equaled out to the same as if I had power for those 5 days. Seriously? This is not right.
need a meter set for new service for a retail tenant - need help to resolve an addressing issue
We have been trying to get a response from Lucas Cornish, Project Manager at the Wingate Service Center. Despite personal visits to the center by my GC, Electrician, Permit Expediter and myself, emails and voice messages this person does not respond. We have tried to set appointments to mett with him and have had no luck. We have received one response in 9 weeks and I need to get this cleared up as soon as possible as the new tenant needs power to the space to open its doors. This has been ongoing since August 28th, 2017. I understand the issues that FPL was faced with regarding the recent Hurricane and I sympathize, however, the total lack of response is both infuriating and unacceptable. As a result we are now in breach of our lease agreement with our tenant.
The account number for this meter that is needed is [protected]
We did pass 30 day temp for test under permit #[protected] and if you look at the notes on the building departments site it says 8-28-17.
My premise # is [protected]
We demised a space and made it into two spaces to accommodate new tenancy. We need to get this person to help us get the addresses input correctly for FPL to recognize the new space as well as release the meter to be set.
The addresses are as follows:
The existing 2360 meter now will be move to 2358 for service
2354 is going to remain
2362 is going to remain
We need a new meter for the new space which will be 2360 N Federal Hwy.

branches on my power lines more than a month after irma
I have called at least one hundred times to FPL and all I get is "We are experiencing a large call volume...etc" and I am directed to the FPL web site which does not have a place for me to enter my particular storm related problem. It is now more than a month since the clean-up from Irma started and I still have branches on my power line. This means that nobody will start the clean-up of my property because all the debris has to go past the trees on the power line. My insurance adjuster showed up a few days ago and we both agree there is still more than 1000 pounds of huge trees still sitting on my roof more than a month after Irma. What is all this weight doing to my roof? Not only that but unless this is resolved soon, I am going to miss the Miami-Dade cleanup deadline and they will refuse at that point to remove all of this debris from outside my gate. This happened after Andrew and again after Katrina for the same reason. FPL never comes in a timely manner to take the branches off our lines. I still have huge tree stumps outside my fence from Andrew that missed that clean-up and nobody had equipment big enough to remove these things after the hurricane clean-up was over. This time I could not even talk to an FPL representative for most of the month. I did get to talk to FPL finally a few days ago. I explained my problem and they gave me a Ticket number. That day some man called me from outside my gate to say he was at my house. I told him to go right in because the gate was not locked. I told him my handicapped son and his nurse were inside the house if he needed to talk to somebody. The tree branches are still there and I have not been able to talk to FPL because "We are experiencing a large call volume..." This is the worst electric company ever. Why does it have such a huge monopoly in this state?
I own several properties and have many different FPL accounts at any particular time. I have recently added three different accounts to my list and I am unable to add these accounts to my website because the computer insists that the Social Security Number associated with these accounts is not mine. I have no idea what number is there but I am no doubt overdue paying at least one of these and FPL will make every attempt to destroy my credit. It is impossible to talk to a representative because every time I phone all I get is "Due to large call volume, we are unable to answer your call at this time..." and I am directed to their web site which does not address this problem. This has been going on for more than a month now. This is the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. Why are we forced to have a company like this being the only power company in this area? They have a monopoly on electric power and they are doing the worst possible job in providing this service. How am I supposed to pay these bills if I cannot even add this account to my web page? And why is it set up so that I have to add the account? Why does FPL not add the accounts themselves automatically? They would discover that they have the wrong SSN if they did this job. What is the point of this extra job for the customer every time an account is formed? Who designed their web site? It is hardly user friendly. And who do I complain to when FPL destroys my credit over this?
excessive billing
How can I owe $0.00 on my bill as of October 2nd 2017 and owe $558 as of September 27th, 2017 when I paid my bull in full on September 13th, 2017?
With a projected bill of over $800, when my Power was off for a week after the hurricane? This added to the fact that I have added 48 PVA Solar Panels on my roof, which are supplying power back into the grid, enough power to reduce my bill to zero per month. This added to the fact that I have made an effort to reduce my power usage. This is either complete incompetence and sheer stupidity and a deliberate attempt to defraud the consumer!
My bill is too high as I’ve been gone for a month. No one from FPL will respond to problem. That’s what hapoens when you have a monopoly and the president makes $14 mil a year. Now I have to get an attorney involved. What a bad company.
