higher bill, yet had now power for six days
Florida Power & Light insults, us the consumers intellect. They boast on the millions of dollars they have invested to update the power grids with "SMART" grids, yet I had no power for six days from September 9-15, 2017. I would also like to inform FPL that in my neighbor hood of Oak Creek SW147 Court and 154 Street there are constant power surges and flickering is too often. Due to a power surges/outages my refridgerator broke than my AC. Yet when I called FPL to report this-they said that FPL had nothing to do with this.
Now I will file a complaint the consumer protection agency.
What is more appalling is that my consumption was less due to the power outage yet my bill was much higher than last month.
How can FPL explain this to me?
I do expect credit for these days.
my bill on sept 05 to oct 04
I got a bill of $176.51 posted on my account since sept 07 and my current usage is $100.51 my projected bill is 122.63. I had late payment sometime but I never miss one payment. Now I'm looking for an office where I can discuss about it and I called them, they told they don't have anywhere I can go to discuss that. My only one choice is pay or they'll send my name to a credit bureau. What's that?
transformer issue
Since there is no place to send a complaint about power outages...My issue has NOTHING to do with the way things were handled during the storm Irma. However we have had a power outage AGAIN and we seem to get it quite often and it's always the same 41-42 people. Why is it that FPL can't seem to update the issue to prevent this. I am getting tired of it and would like to know why FPL can't seem to upgrade their equipment to be able to handle 41 people. This is at least the 4th time this year NOT INCLUDING IRMA we have lost power. GET IT TOGETHER AND FIX IT RIGHT INSTEAD OF PUTTING A BANDAIDE ON THE PROBLEM!
my complaint is about a continuous and astonishing billing
My account in #[protected]
I live in a gated community in Coconut Grove; 21 homes are the same size and 2 have been extended.
Out of the 21 equal homes, my son lives in one of them, my neighbor in another one, both I use as comparable to my home.
Last month I paid $373.95 which included $15.79 to cover expenses on another property and which I had already paid separately.
NOTE: FPL Owes me $15.79 which didn't appear in this month's invoice.
What brings me to this claim, is the fact that this month's bill is for $385.94, when my son's bill was about $200 and my neighbors less than that.
Our homes are the same and if this is read by an electric technician, will understand that there's something wrong, with a bill of that size, on a house of 1550 Square Feet, with two people in it, one A/C (always at 78 F) and the normal range of electric appliances; this is not right.
I want for FPL, to send a technical inspector, for either the meter is very wrong, or power is being stolen from another party, but this situation is unacceptable; I can not afford this expense in my budget and can not go on.
Have been trying to speak to someone at customer Service, but it's been useless. I appreciate your attention to this matter before I'm forced to turn this it to my state representative.
Thank you
broken concrete on my driveway parking spot and right side of my house by power truck
On Tuesday September 19, 2017 one of the trucks helping the FPL to restore the power in my neighborhood went to the back of my house to the power pole. So when he started going back from the right side of my house he broke the concrete on my driveway-parking stall and also broke the concrete on the right side of my house next to the A/C unit. I reported it to the one of the managers for PIKE power company at the scene and he told me he took a picture and reported it to FPL for the repair.

Thank you for your consideration.
I also took some pictures but I could not added because the size of my pictures were 5.9 MB.

website login fraud
RE: 8245 134th Str; Sebastian, FL 32958
FPL (closed acct division?) completely changed my FPL login homepg,
removed my account (ref. address), and replaced it with my deceased ex-husbands account, (separate address) but kept my login password, bank account information, email address, and physical address listing my home address of 8245 134th Str. When I made the mistake and paid his old account, thinking it was mine, the fpl help rep said I had to add my account to my online account, which was there the previous month and years before. How could you remove my account keeping my login and bank information? Fortunately my bank was able to reverse payments, but I want his information removed from my login page immediately. Your division acted criminally by manipulting account numbers while leaving existing personal information to trick the user to pay a closed bill. This practice cannot continue and I want my account fixed.

power outage
Lost power during Irma. I live in small community, Morton Grove. There are 3 portions to this community. The other 2 portions got their power back on 9-12, we STILL DO NOT HAVE OUR POWER ON!I have called numerous times, my husband has held up signs stating we do not have power on Notting Hill Ln. and NO one has fixed the problem! I see by the numbers this morning there are still 600 people without power. We have had FPL trucks everywhere around our neighborhood but no one has even offered to fix this problem. On one call i even had a woman at FPL ask me if i were sure the power was out and did she want me to check the meter. Really? This is Your Job and Your Business! I am so very disappointed at the caliber of service and the ineptness of the company pad a whole. Speaking with FPL this morning am told ANOTHER work ticket has been created and NO idea when this problem would be taken care of. Very Very poor business indeed.
I am complaint about the promises services.
After 10 tickets we don't have no power. No FPL man came at my home. My husband and my brother have stopped one FPL truck and asked him to help us.
Whenever we call FPL they put us on the waiting list. We even had an emergency and no one came. They tell us all the time the next available technician will be there. Nobody has come. I have a lot of name,
Samuel (Supervisor), Mr. Finley (Supervisor), K. Mdetdo? (Supervisor) ...
Mrs. Dolores (Supervisor).
We lost a lot of hours. We have job and lost a lot of hours because we need
to stay at the house.
The first time they are suppose to come for wire down and trees . Very dangerous., They never came . My meters need to be change. Sparkle in my box. 3 mans came at my house and tell us that this is not the responsibilities at them .
After catching a guy, he said, that incredible FPL cannot make nothing before. This guy work for FPL. This guy change the meters but after half hours we have sparkling again. We call again and nobody help us. All the time, is about the ticket.
electricity still not in
What a disgrace! Still without power in Naples Oaks Estates to be exact! Just as Floridians were notified of Irma so was FPL. Your disaster recovery is horrible! Still no updates was known that transformers were needed 3 days ago and still no power! You have at least 35 states helping and still no power. You failed everyone miserably. And I see you're still charging people for service, you should be sued, I am sure that if all Floridians could use another company they would monopolies are supposed to be illegal!
days of service in the bill are incorrect
i request a refund due to FPL sent me a bill for 30 days of service from 08/16/2017 till 09/15/2017, and i was without power since 09/09/17 till 09/16/17 due to irma hurricane, this bill should be pay by 09/10/17 so i want to get and answer about what will FPL do it before that they im very disappointed with this situation i have a baby of 10 months old and i loss all his food due that wait for your answer lucia perez
Same here. Its ridiculous that there is no way to get a person of customer service on the phone. These thieves are doing what they can to get the most money out of the consumers. They know to well how to bribe all the politicians in the state and run a clean monopoly. However we should not despair and should claim. At least, get a refund for the days without power. They had 12 years and Billions of dollars to prepare for this, and yet they failed miserably.
failure to provide power in a timely manner after irma
Live in an RV park in Hollywood. Power went out with Irma. I downloaded the FPL app and indicated the outage on Monday after the storm. On Thursday, the app showed power restored. WRONG! Resubmitted as power still out. At this point, I took my wife to a hotel an hour away (closest hotel available). On Friday, App showed power on. WRONG! Resubmitted as power still out. On Saturday night, showed power restored. YES! Came home Sunday. Power on till 2pm, then transformer blew. Out came the app for no power. FPL fixed transformer and power on by 9pm. Monday at 2pm, transformer blew again. Out came app. This time, no one has been around. They just keep setting back the estimated time by 24 hours every day. I have made numerous contacts and complaints. No avail - no one calls back. The entire RV park is out, yet this time they show "only" 12 customers (previously it has been 211 customers). I believe they are placing the numbers game to look good for the Governor or the Electric Board.
This all started on September 11th and is still going on (September 20th). Yesterday, September 19th, the ambulance was in the park 4 times for heat stroked residents. That info has been passed on to Cynthia Gwedo at FPL Main Office - [protected] - she does not call back. I have left 2 messages so far.
The Utilities Commission needs to look into the practices at FPL. Timely response's are not constantly pushing back the estimated time till correction. The ticket Number is 6097!
my whole neighborhood has power except my house, no answers from fpl
My whole neighborhood received power on the 17th of September ever since then I have only partial power, meaning anything that works on 220 volts can not be powered up since I only have 110 volts in half on my house. I have called FPL on a daily basis and on Sept 18 every 2 hours to find out why they keep skipping my house and they keep telling me the same thing every time, no difference in the company written script for the customer service reps, I have not been nasty because I know that it's not the customer service reps fault, i have upscale the an intermediate supervisor without any different results and I have been waiting for a manager to call me for the part 2 days.
I don't know where else to turn or who to call to get my problem resolved, my problem is not a down line, it's not a tree that fell on my line, it's partial power all I need is a lineman to come and hook up my lines properly so I have full power. It's not that difficult. Who to turn?
no power after hurricane irma
We have been without power since 9-9-17 at the onset of the hurricane due to a downed power line which we called in immediately. No one came by until 9-17-17 all they did was install new power lines but they didn't connect the power. The neighborhood has had there power restored except for our block and they will not give us any info. they keep changing the date of restoration but nothing has been done.

Power was restored once they replaced a transformer a few houses away
restoration
I have been without power since the 9th. A power line fell down in the back yard making us lose partial power, followed by no power a few hours later. They restored power a few days later (wednesday I believe) but I only got lights back while all of my neighbors got full power. I happened to see an out-of-town electric company driving by so I stopped them and ask them why and pointed out that there was still a wire hanging down on the back fence. They cut everyone's power back off for the night and in the morning came back to cut the wires down. Once again all my neighbors got full power whereas I only got occasional lights. To top it off, they only cut the wire hanging from one pole and not the other end. So now there is electricity running through a wire that's hanging on a metal fence where kids are running around. I've put in multiple work orders over the past few days and still nobody has shown up. They were on my property at least 3-4 times last week, why wasn't everything fixed at that point? They originally said all power would be back to my area by the 17th, now every single day they extended another 24 hours. When I asked to speak to a manager today I was told no by the person that answer the phone. They have no idea when I will get power back or when they will come cut the other wire. I was told my ticket had been assigned for 3 days now. Maybe it was a sign to one of the people that were helping from out of state and are gone now because nobody has shown up. My landlord told me the other day that he's been asking them for a long time to fix the wire that had broke. There's been multiple issues with it in the past and instead of redoing it they just keep putting splints in it. Have they fixed it right the first time maybe this issue would have completely been avoided. Let's hope they actually get out here before somebody seriously gets injured.
loss of food
We did not have power for a week at our house. Even though I put bags of ice in my fridge and freezer, all my food spoiled. I am a single mom of a disabled adult son, and looking after my grandson. Also, my bill of almost $200 was given tome a few days after the storm!
I need to recover the amount of the lost food and reduce the bill as there was no power!
power restoration and reporting
Breach of contract, negligence, fraud. Extremely dissatisfied with fpl handling of power restoration at residential building at 17275 collins ave, in sunny isles, as of today, 52 appartments are without power. Fpl keep closing trouble tickets with message "power restored", but we have no power and fpl is deceiving public to improve statistical restoration results, when in actuality there is no power at our location. We have copies of all open and closed fpl tickets, as evidence of fpl fraud on the people of florida. We make countless calls and email requests to fpl several times a day to no avail. Fpl is in breach of contract to provide power, its negligent in iits maintenance of the equipment and power lines and fpl is engaged in false reporting and consumer fraud.
fpl bill payment
Hi my name is nathaniel williams iii and im very upset with a complaint that my bill was due september 5th and my account stated on the fpl app that my account was paind in full i also listen to the automated service 4 times he also stated my account was paid in full then i didnt have lights because the power was off in my entire neighborhood but yet now yall just took almost $150.00 out if my account for the same month that was already paid in full and im very upset and i wanna know why someone needs to contact me immediately because this is very ridiculous how can you take two payments for the same month.

no power
We have had no power since 9/9/17 and many many many service tickets issued to repair it. Finally we had trucks on our street yesterday repairing some of the line but not completing repair to the entiire street. I was informed by the utility worker from Michigan that they needed ANOTHER service ticket to finish the job. This is beyond ridiculous not to mention a waste of time and resources . Now fpl has to send another crew out to my street and quite frankly there is no guarantee that will resolve the issue but not to worry fpl will just give me another service ticket😡
ticket# 646/miami, fl/no power
As of Saturday 09/16/17 my entire neighborhood has power except for me. The wire that connects from my house to the power pole is laying in my back yard. I have called FPL since 09/11/17 multiple times informing them that wires are laying in my back yard. When the power was restored in the rest of my neighborhood I informed the workers who were present on 09/16/17 that wires were laying in my backyard, I was told they would come and check it which never happened. For the last 4 days I have been calling everyday and have been told each day that the power would be restored by midnight and still NO POWER. This morning I was told my ticket was completed yesterday evening although FPL was not in my neighborhood at all. So now I'm to assume that the workers are falsifying records indicating tickets have been completed that are not. I am being told that even though this down wire was reported since 09/11/17 an update has been made to my ticket number. This is unacceptable, I am 69 years old and have a heart condition was almost hospitalized yesterday due to heat exhaustion. Please I need help.
