I understand that fpl is dealing with a state outage but what i dont understand is how fpl didnt even reach north miami beach yet and we have been without power for the past 4 days i submitted a power outage report and they still havent even came to check whats wrong in our neighborhood of north miami beach. The houses are starting to get really hot do to the weather and not livable.
service and restoration of lights
I stay in central Fort Lauderdale I find hard to believe that after being hit by feeder bands from hurricane Irma and that we have no power since Saturday not a single Florida power and light truck has not been in his neighborhood everybody in across the street from me has powered the people on the streets behind me Have power I find it kind of ridiculous that it take this long to get power restored it we have not even been hit directly by hurricane why do we spend all this Money PM for services that we are not receiving now I know when I get my bill I will be charged for The whole Month Even though I went A week without power and I still have not gotten update yet
power restoration
I completely understand this was a statewide emergency and there are priorities but I find it ridiculous I'm the only block in my area without power. I had a glimmer of hope last night when I saw 3 trucks stationed in front of my neighborhood. I honestly thought, finally, since being without Friday 9/8, that I would have power this morning, 9/13. To my dismay I awoke with no power again. I immediately went to check if the trucks were still there. What I found were no trucks but all of the lines except the one to my street has been repaired. I'm one of 3 houses in my neighborhood to be without power now, the other 2 having extremely loud generators outside my window. I haven't had a decent sleep in a week, it's over 100 degrees in my house and I think i have to fight my neighbors now. Why couldn't they just fix one more line while they were here? WTF FPL?!
omg help already..
It's Wednesday the 13th and finally the fpl truck came at around 9am. Two trucks arrived with two men in one truck and one man in the other, the truck with the two men left after 15 min of looking at the down wire that's in the middle of our street. The other guy then proceeded to have a seat on the lawn for almost two hours just on his phone not doing anything. When the second truck arrived a couple of the neighbors and myself included offered them cold bottles of water in exchange to just find out if power would be on at the end of the day... (I live in sunset strip 33313) one guy screamed at us "we are trying people, we don't know". A simple I'm not sure would have worked sufficiently enough but he was so rude and disgusting I literally felt like punching this guy. I am 27 years old I can bare the heat a little I'm young but my neighbors are between the ages of 60-85, and they were mortified by this gentlemens behavior that they ran back across the street.. one of my neighbors is insulin dependent and with out power her insulin could turn into poison. When I spoke to 911 they told me carry her to the hospital if it's bad because they can't tell me when power will restore. So I took her and guess what!? They turned her away from the hospital saying it's not an emergency and that 911 shouldn't have directed us to take her there.. this is ridiculous FPL you promised people you would have their power on no lower than two days after the hurricane, and we all get some areas are worse than others but some places have elder people that should be out into priority as well.. sorry for my long rant but I'm honestly pissed and I have a four year old daughter who is driving me crazy because she's hot..
nuclear facility security
My name is Sean. I was on facebook, when I came across a post by one of your nuclear facility security guards. This "man's" name is Gary Karwoski. He works at either the Port St Lucie or Hutchinson Island facility. You have to see it to believe it. He stated that he wished hurricane Irma evacuees would die because there was a long line at McDonalds and he had to wait for his food. This is unacceptable. How can we trust this monster to guard our nuclear facility, when he cannot compose himself over a cheeseburger? You WILL fire this animal by Thursday, the 14th, 2017, by the end of the business day. I expect the termination on the specified date, to also be called and informed of said termination, or on Friday, the 15th, 2017, I will contact every news station, local or not, statewide and further, to let them know the kind of [censored] FPL hires to guard our nuclear facilities. I am ashamed on your behalf. The post was made on 9/11/2017 at 10:10pm(of ALL dates to wish death on fellow Americans during a crisis). If you are shorthanded, I will gladly replace him, as I am a licenced armed private security guard, have no criminal record, have no home to go back to, as it was annihilated in the Keys, and NO problem putting this animal on the street for his evil and insane rant. This is an embarrassment for FPL and security guards everywhere, and cannot be permitted, considering the sensitivity and importance of the job. Thank you for your cooperation.
I want to delete this complaint. I misunderstood what Gary said. DO NOT FIRE HIM.
racist company
We have power lines down on our street in East Bradenton. It has been 3 days and we have yet to see a FPL truck. Seems to me that the mexican and black neighbourhoods are a last priority. Kids can't play outside as we have lines down across the street. It is ridiculous that they have not even shown up after many calls and complaints. Every single business in our area has power and yet we are still waiting for lines to be picked up off the street.
This company is an absolute joke, they claim to have extra people deployed to help restore power, yet I have not seen any trucks or any people do any work.
If we were white and wealthy the power would of been restored right away.
fpl
It's a little ridiculous that you brought in other electrical companies to come and help, yet power is still not restored. Found 16 Pike trucks parked on sw 144 ave and sw 9 st (33184 zip code)all eating crap instead of restoring services. They were all in a circle talking and laughing instead of restoring services. The weather is hot, there's older people, people with kids and you guys are taking way too long to fix the issues. Theres plenty of downed wires wrapped around trees in the area that have been reported and nothing seems to get done. FPL get your crap together along with the subcontractors brought in amd start restoring service
service outage port saint lucie fl 34953
FPL turned the power all around us except since their was some vines on the fuse they didn't want to close recloser fuse because it was too much effort. It was a 10 min job and they refused to do the work. Made up a story about the whole lateral not working but that was a lie as all other house on the lateral are on. It was just a huge lie. FPL is not customer oriented and we should push the Public utility commission to deregulate the territory.
Completely unacceptable service.
I live at 662 SW Violet Ave in Port Saint Lucie, Fl. The vacant lot next to my house has dead tree limbs laying against the lines in between two telephone poles. Who is responsible to remove those dead tree limbs?
lack of service
I haven't seen one FPL truck in my neighborhood yet (SW 45th St in Ft Lauderdale) . I did see some across our canal, but they were doing nothing all afternoon. Just sitting in the truck!
Hello, FPL, are you out there? I'm pretty sure your billing department is still sending out bills. What do you make? Like a trillion dollars a year?
We can't even get cable or internet until you fix the electricity...And by the way, your website doesn't work either
transformer cut on fire
I hope everyone is safe!...I don't understand?!...I haven't seen one FPL truck in my area...on 9/10/17 ...I call to report a transformer cut on fire, the fire was running side to side from the wires to the house, very scary moment. I call and told them, about the situation, a lady put me on hold for like 40 minutes and then hang up on me...still waiting...and today (09/12/17) I run to see if any stores were open and I seen like (15) FPL trucks in the parking lot of the Conner of (lake Mary Blvd & 17/92- French Ave) "CHILLING"... talking and laughing (WHAT)...I have 8 children in my house, (4 my, 4 foster) What I suppose to do?
I think that everyone who pays electric, trash, gas, and taxes included in your bill, should be given a little more respect from this multi-million dollar co., Is so many people losing work, food, school etc., And they have no consideration.
No disrespect to anyone.
I totally agree with you 100% percent this is BS and gtta get fixed quick. its not safe with no power for more then 24 hours. I mean Come on. Get it together people.
power out and tree online endangering my house.
Called Deltona and FPL. I have uprooted tree that is on the power line causing the pole to pop and snap. And if the pole goes it will tear the corner of my house off. I cannot even find one power repair truck here in Deltona. They have on there website power to return to everyone on east side of county by Sat Sept 16 and west side which i am on by the 22nd. I am sorry to say that tree and power pole will not last that long which will cause further damage to my home. All it would take is someone to come out and at least clear the tree. I am so upset at who is directing the repair crews if they even are. It for sure is the good ole boy system done here.
Power repair trucks seen sitting for hours on side of road. Come on my house is endanger and no one cares.
power outage since 9/10/17 12 noon
I have not had power in Davie, Fl since before Irma even hit! I reported this outage right away and the fire department had even arrived while I was on phone reporting to FPL (ticket #1735). This is completely unacceptable considering how much FPL charges its customers and how much revenues (profits) that are reported. Beyond not even having any power, I have not gotten one update despite requesting updates via phone & email. FPL is a monopoly and is extremely underperforming! According to FPL's "power tracker map", not one enhancement was completed in my area from Jan 2016 through Dec 16! No smart switch installation, no strengthened power lines, NO infared inspections nor no inspected utility lines! No wonder no one has power! This is the worse power outage ever in reagrds to the amount of people effected and the time! FPL, if you do not do better and perform better, it is only a matter of time before the entire business collapses.
outage
HELP HELP HELP
Its been 3 days since we have no power like the 75% of miami dade but everytime I pass by the 37 ave and 7 st in the Magic City Casino I see like 200 fpl truck there doing nothing I dont see a single truck in any street and that insulting what are they doing there please we have kids we are been paciente but we need to see anyone doing something!
florida power and light
FPL is going to pay for what they did in live oak sent all your trucks down south didn't restore one customer in Columbia county or swanee county our groceries ruined town has 100, 000 signatures filing lawsuit and no one will pay their bill you [censored] should be run off right along with mayor and town council no mres no ice no stores you just pulled your people out of a community of less than 4, 000 mostly elderly and like me need oxygen and breathing equipment pettion growing count on it

power
Power went out in my PSL house on 9/9 during 60mph wind gusts from Irma. Storm passes, no damage in my neighborhood other than some tree branches. 9/12 now, still no power, and can't get a hold of any live reps from FPL because "it's not an emergency." Meanwhile, people half a block away have power and FPL trucks are sitting in parking lots doing nothing. I haven't seen one truck come down my street and now my sewage is backing up because its dependant on power. How is sewage not an emergency? Does it not pose a public health risk?
no service
On 9/10 sustained maybe 70 mph guts power goes out at 3pm.monday I note 15-20 trucks parked on side of road on west broward blvd for almost an hour, just sitting outside their trucks with NO direction of what to do. No good bringing in help if you don't direct them! So as of 9/12 Still No Power. I have made repeated on line tickets for days and spoke to CS today who has no report s of any outage! This is why we need an alternative to FPL
electric service
Power was shut off by FPL do no reason at 9:00 AM on Sunday 9/10 with winds less than 40 mph. ALL day without power. Then at 3:00 AM power was turned back on for 5 mins only to be turned off again. Storm is over now 9/11 @ 4:00 and I just saw a FPL truck literally driving around in circles in my neighborhood doing NOTHING. Absolutely ridiculous. What are we paying for?
power restoration
I sound rude, butt Bill Orlove promised on press-conference at National TV last week what 17000 professionals coming to South Florida restore broken lines and my mom still without power in her Mobile Home in Hallandale Beach. Now it is 90 degrees outside and NO GENERATORS in entire State to purchase!
Nobody answer from FPL telephone, no email responds and no ARMY of professionals!
fpl service
Well hurricane IRMA came in and where we were had no more the 40mph winds. FPL shut the grid off at 10am for no reason. Then at 2:30 am the following day turned the grid back on only to shut if off again 5 minutes later. Then did the same thing again at 3:00am. Now it's 9:am and no power. FPL is pure trash. The work on the rich areas first then everyone else.
service
I called FPL to report some sparking of power lines on the side of my backyard on August 19th. The CSR who answered did not take the situation as an urgency, because today September 9th, I still have not had a visit or response to the matter. Hurricane Irma is here tonight and those wires have been sparking continuously, making all the lights and electrical equipment in my house, turn off and on, over and over again. My kids are frightened, because they believe the house will catch fire. The issue could have been solved longtime ago, because I reported it first time I saw it, if any of my appliances break, or anything happens to my family, I will hold FPL liable. It is shameful, if a bill is past due, you make sure you contact your customers, cut their power. How come on a situation that is dangerous, not just to my family, but the four houses close the sparking power lines, almost a month later, no response. How should we hold you accountable? Shameful
