fpl workers sitting in truck.
I watched an FPL truck sit at the end of my street, SW 126 Ave & 77th ST, behind a fence and trees and about 5 mins to 11 pm, drive away. There are no electrical poles or box there. He just sat there inside the truck. At first I thought our power was being worked on. I walked outside as he was driving away and realized he was just parked there. I looked down SW 127th Ave & Sunset Drive in hopes that he would be working on a pole along SW 127th Ave but he was not. He must have been waiting for his shift to end right at 11 pm.
horrible
I had power restored on Monday evening. I returned to my home that evening with my pets. I left for work Wednesday morning and lost power at 10:30 without notice. When the town of Geneva was turned on the only area without power is my street. I searched for hours and found no lines down or wrapped in debris. Why is my power off?! This is stupid. I try to call and every line says call this number and hangs up. I called the number and was told it could not understand the information I was giving and hung up. I tried this several times. What happened to customer service. I would have stayed where I had evacuated if I would have known this. I can't return to it either. I also have my visitation with my daughter starting Thursday and it is in jeopardy due to the power. For the age of tech this company is in the Stone age. Fix the power and stop milking the clock. When I see 2 bucket trucks and everyone is either in the truck or standing by the truck and talk. Praise is earned for doing well, FP&l gets no praise for the "job" that's being done in my area. Disgusting!
light and power
We have many elderly and people in our neighborhood. I am sure you are aware of the incident that took place in a hollywood nursing home recently. I fear of similar incident happening to people here. Not to mention the countless amount of children and women who are ashmatic and may end up hospitalalized due to suffocation. It is nearly 100° in my house alone, I can only imagine my neighbors houses. I worry not only for myself but for them as well. If FPL was so "prepared" for the aftermath of hurricane Irma, why is it taking weeks for a multi-billion dollar company to restore power.
electricity
Fpl was on my block for 9 hours today along with a company call Pliss. They got out of the truck 4 times totaling less than 2 hours. We have the whole pathetic thing on video. They did nothing. Didn't climb a pole or even check the junction box on the corner. They just sat there with a men at work sign on the road. I don't know who was working but it wasn't them. I tried to call fpl to file a complaint but the fpl line just hangs up on you and the online service doesn't even work. It is this kind of incompetence that killed those elderly people in the nursing home. You are disgusting human beings

power outage
So FPL comes in to fix the power outage issues and they do, lasted for maybe a second the power. Then it goes again, so they repair the street lights, tamarac north and 2/3s of tamarac boulevard, then they decide to leave. They lie to us and say that the power will be back on by the morning, they lied, complete [censored], they fix the other side, most of our neighbourhood and then neglect the only part of our neighbourhoods that's left, these [censored] will probably not be back till Sunday to fix something they should have had fixed the first day they came for repairs, they take advantage of the fact that they're the only utility company in the area. They neglect certain customers and pick and choose what they will and will not fix, I would switch my utility service the second I get the chance because fpl is completely negligent of their due diligence to their customers, they lied to us and they disrespected the president of our community by driving past her when she attempted to speak with the utility manager they sent to supervise the repairs, I get that service is limited. But honestly, they couldn't have spared a couple hours just to fix the little bit of the neighbourhood they managed to fix earlier but [censored] up anyway? What a bunch of [censored], [censored] fpl and their negligence.
claims many trucks around. haven't seen one
We're going on five days no power and fpl [censored] down phones and email to even call and ask how long it'll take. I have a six month old who's been sweating for five days straight and I haven't seen a fpl truck yet. Maybe they should put money into customers and not a new advertisement every two days. If I could get a different company I would. They show no remorse for anyone and don't have the time of day for anyone. All their houses are up and running already
power outage
I'm putting in my complaint as to why my mother's power is still not on! I understand the situation but Lehigh acres is small area that is getting neglected and as of today still no power or water! Smh! I would appreciate if 1201 Glenn Avenue in Lehigh would be restored ASAP! I do plan on reaching out the authorities in the morning! A lot of these seniors in this area have life threatening situations, which include my mother! Once again I will checking into this matter in the AM!
service to remove downed line
Ok...i get it...the entirr state just went through a major hurricane. However...a downed line is strewn across my vehicle and front yard. I can live without the power but I need TO GET TO MY JOB! I have called several times and get this nonchalant response from whom ever. FPL and all its trucks are 3 blocks from my home yet no one can come and simply remove this downed line off my vehicle so I can GET TO MY JOB! Downed lines should be a priority! I'm being held prisoner in my own home by FPL. Come and move the damn downed line...please !
power
FPL restored power to our area, unfortunately a power line was caught in the trees and resulted in the line snapping. FPL came, looked and left. Said they wouldn't be back for 5 days. Why not fix the problem then instead of having to return. Total waste of time management. While my family and others are left to bake in the heat with no running water as we all are on well water that relies on a pump.
partial restore
I live in Country Club Lakes in Coconut Creek, the original ticket said it was entered at 3:51 pm on 9/10 and that 1032 customers were effected, when the lights actually went out at 2:25 pm. My complex has 18 buildings 10 of them had power restored yesterday morning. The other 8 are still baking. I have tried to call FPL multiple time to let them know something wasn't done correctly. But you get a recording to call back at another time because the line is being keep clear for emergencies. How do you know if it's an emergency if no one will pick up? Are your customer service people getting paid this week, because they are definitely not doing a job.
Rechecked the ticket to make sure that they didn't close it out, now it says the ticket was put in at 3:02 pm on 9/10 and only 222 customer are effected. Does that put us at the bottom of the heap?
I don't care if you have to repeat the same spiel for a million customers your customer service should be open. That's what all of your rate hikes pay for, correct? Oh wait, and it also pay for infrastructure improvements. We didn't even get the full force Irma and this is just as bad as Wilma 12 years ago, where are the improvements?
Side note: I work in Boca Raton and everyone I work with and all of the surrounding business have power...things that make you go "hmmmm?"
I need someone to follow up on this bogus ticket and before Sunday the 17th.
irma - power outage
Dear Sir,
I want to thank you for whatever actions / prep-planning taken by your company that resulted in a minimum of power loss in my area. You guys did good!
I suffered at least a dozen power interruptions, none longer ten minuets. This resulted in no problems, except my digital clocks had to be reset after each loss. I hope that you are aware that I am being facetious with this ‘complaint.’
Your company did a super job before, during and now, after the Irma attack.
Sincerely,
Cliff Richardson

electricity
Haven't seen these guys at all in North Miami, zip code 33162. We have elderly folks out here, my parents and my neighbors-diabetics, blind, Hospice, etc...I was just advised from FPL's automated service that we won't be helped until Sunday, the 17th of September at 11:45pm? Are you kidding me? We're usually the last to be helped in this neighborhood. Who should we be contacting to get these wires underground?
chaotic efforts on power restoration
We live near the intersection of sw 132 st and 82 av. How come our neighbors on the same street got power two days ago but we are still in the dark? I thought we belong to the same priority group.
We have a completely black transformer sitting on the pole and and a line dangling in the air about to fall. I have not seen anyone come to even look at it. The status was crew on site two days ago and then changed to in progress the same day, yet still no assessment has been done. Are you serious?
I met a contractor doing the repairs in a neighborhood a few streets to the east of where we live. He told me that FPL had been telling him to go from one neighborhood to another pretty far apart. Why? Who determines which neighborhood the contractors go to and based on what criteria? I understand that places like nursing homes should be given the priority, but the neighborhoods that our neighbors and others nearby who have already got their power back are in are just like ours. Then why no one is working on ours yet? And why does FPL move contractors from one place to another but not let them work in the same neighborhood? Most importantly, WHY PEOPLE IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD ARE TREATED DIFFERENTLY? This is completely chaotic to say the least.
lack of service
We have immobile hospice patients in our neighborhood the truck came into the neighborhood and got a coty fountain running and about 1/3 of the houses in the neighborhood were on that grid. Left and I followed him to a new neighborhood where the houses range in price from 400, 000 to over a million that entire neighborhood had power last night our measly neighborhood still out and says crew investigating. How by ESP there has not been another truck this area since. We have traveled our entire city to find them in the high dollar areas not finishing an area and moving on finishing where they can draw the most revenue. Even during a disaster they are all about the money not the customers in general. But try to become self sufficient off the grid FPL makes it impossible to get a certificate to occupy without hooking up to them.
failure to maintain and keep trees clear from lines
I live at 2800 North County Rd. 426 Oviedo, FL 32765
We have been without power since 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon 9/10/17 due to trees down on the lines as the root problem .
I have 82-year-old parents who rely on oxygen, asthma machine and CPAP machines. when I called for the last 3 days they tell me it's still may be until the 17th or longer before power can be restored because they have so much work to do. I have beged that the medical conditions be taken into account to restore power… Please call me at the number on my Acct. Please help, please help today !
failure to maintain clearance from power lines
I purchased property in Interlachen, FL in March. I have contacted FPL on 2 occasions to come trim a tree so I could remove it. Being a responsible neighbor I thought this was the best course of action. I contacted FPL at the start of hurricane season for the same tree. I was told it would be trimmed in the 3rd quarter. This is part of the issue. The rest of the issue is FPL should be fined by the state for utterly failing in this simple task. But, guess what, we don't get a discount on the bill or even information that is useful in relieving the strain on consumers.
The point is Irma would not have been as bad if FPL would do their jobs properly.
without power down lines
I live in the north miami beach area behind the police station area code 33162.
I see fpl restoring power to only upper class areas, which all have power now.
We have been out of power since friday night before the storm. We have power lines all on the floor, I literally ran into a power line ehich hit my windshield. I called the emergency line and reported no still have not mafe an effort to keep us safe, I thought safety was the top priority.. Also my brother is special needs and needs a lift to help jom up and change his diapers and etc... He is just literally going on the bed, he is 300lbs I cant lift him up I need power to plug the lift to help him. This is total [censored], you guys are the worst company I have ever seen. Im pretty sure if I was living in a million dollar home on the beach I would have power you guys only respect high society. So I habe to sit in a hott [censored] house with my brother breathing in feces and urine
restoring power
I live in Hallendale beach FL, at 324 nw 3rd street. FPL restore my power then later cut it off due to a power line catching fire . FPL employee stated had to cut line and will come back to fix it in a few days. I'm confused on the fact that we have a down power line hanging there and that's not a priority. My neighborhood has a lot of elderly people and children, it's get unbearably hot and it feels like a oven. I'm a 29 strong man who can not tolerate it and I know the children and elderly can not. Why would you leave before fixing the issue. That's unprofessional .
It day 4 without lights in Miami FL heat and non insulated building. I called FPL twice and no one can tell why it's taking so long to connect one power line or repair it.. This is the worst service and concerned about others well-being I've ever seen FPL is to blame!. The children and elderly people can not handle this heat.At the end of the day On Sunday the 17th, today is the 14th. Unbelievable
just want my power restored i pay my bills on time.
when are they common to 151st ter Richmond heights half of the street have power(it was never lost) the other half doesn't have any at all; pole is
power
I was going through hurricane Irma and my electricity went out on Sunday and I still don't have my power and. Today is wenesday and we have no electricity. Fpl hasn't even come near North Miami Beach to come and check out the problem it is really hot here and all the neighbors are outside because the hotness inside is unresistable. We cannot sleep and on top of that do to not haveing no electricity all of the food in the fridge is going bad and on top of that they didn't even come to check it. And they say they have 14000 workers but yet i caught them in the back just sitting there doing nothing when another person's power could have been turned on. My concern is when are they even going to reach North Miami beach.
no electricity since the hurricane hit
You guys keep saying that you are doing everything to restore power but I live in North Miami Beach and I have not seen any of your workers in my neighborhood or community. We are not flooded, nor we have trees in the road. We have been without AC for 48 hours and we have children and elderly who needs cool air. You guys charge a lot of money for electricity and expects us to pay on time otherwise you cut our service, but when we need you to fix our service you guys are not on time. My sugestion give all your customers that you neglected in the City of North Miami a good Credit on their bill. We dont deserve to be treated like second class citizen.
Oh, you poor folks on the east coast. "WAHHHH, 2 days is too long without power." Try 5 days and counting you little east coast crybabies. As far as I'm concerned, most crews should have been sent to the area directly hit by the eye, not the outlying areas that are nothing but easy fixes.
48 hours, try 5 days. All streets around me restored. No fallen trees, no broken lines. Suffering severe heat stroke, house reading 92.
