installation
Had a new underground power line installed. The job number was #292. Location was 134 sw 126 ave. Plantation, fl 33325. Work was completed by FPL and Viking contractor. The power was restored successfully, however the meter box was severely damaged (attached photos) and is now compromised for insect/animal intrusion as well as open to the weather. I am requesting that this box be repaired and/or replaced. My name is Jihovanna Mayorga and contact number is [protected].
fpl drove over my septic drainfield months ago and I havent heard back from them
I submitted a claim January 31st 2018...Fpl drivers accessed my property through a neighbors yard with their truck to install underground wires with nobody home. In this process they drove directly on my septic drainfield crushing it. I sent in a claim, a letter from a local septic company stating the drainfield was crushed, pictures of their vehicle parked on the drainfield, and an estimate. Its now May 16th...I have stink septic water flowing out the top of my septic tank now and I still haven't heard from Marco Gonzalez after leaving messages. At this point we are probably gonna have to move out due to the toilets not flushing correctly since the damage. We are at our end and may be looking into a lawyer who wants to take this case...We have children who live here...we paid for their services to install the wire. Im guessing that their bill will go much higher through the courts after having to pay for 2 housing til they get this resolved. We are both working adults that cannot call every hour between the hours of 730-430, but we do call and leave messages. This is how FPL treats people because the have a monopoly on florida power grids, no competition leaves them as a giant walking on and over the little people. Before this we were upgrading our electric service and that was months of hell and being pushed off waiting for service just to get screwed again when the untrained workers drive into a not readily accessible yard with a truck . So collectively we've had near 7 month of problems with FPL
P.S. Also this is my second complaint on this matter, here is the link to the first with pics...

no consideration for property
Hi,
I am a property owner in Golden Gate Estates, Naples Florida. Recently, FPL came out to install a new utility pole (next to the old one) on my property in order to run a power line to the new house building across the street. The company cut my fencing line, scrapped my survey boundary metal rebar, and threw about 5 or 6 empty plastic water bottles onto my property. I had to clean up the mess and reset my fencing line. Overall very rude and unprofessional.
Thank you,
Chris
They drove over my drainfield and destroyed it and have not contacted me in 4 mos so i'm not surprised they left a little garbage too.
fpl broke my gate after hurricane irma and refuses to repair the damages
In the aftermath of hurricane Irma, FPL used my property as access to the neighbors yard to fix a light pole in the neighbors yard. The FPL truck entered my yard through a chain link double gate. On finishing their job in the neighbors yard an leaving, the FPL employees threw and left the broken light posts in my driveway damaging my mailbox and my gate. I've been trying to get someone from FPL to repair the damage and have spoken to a different person each time who promises someone will get back to me. On 4/3/18 a rep called and said he will be going out to take
pictures and pick up the old light posts, and would get back to me in regards to the damages. Well, the post were picked up but no call back from the rep. We are now entering another hurricane season and FPL is yet to repair the damage they've done. What is my next step? To get a news reporter to my home? I need this taken care of, but it seems like FPL likes stepping on the little people. Maybe if I lived in an affluent neighborhood this problem would've been resolved along time ago.
Same problem almost here...Its been 4 months since they drove through my yard and crushed my drainfield and no reply from them...Im guessing the News and a lawyer might get better results.
street light
Early this year FP&L contractors were doing underground work on my Easement behind my property. After that my street light was out of power, I called FP&L and 2 months later a crew came and instead of fixing the original wiring which came underground as all service in my area they took a short cut and run an aerial drop to the next pole half a block down the street. Neighbors were unhappy with this fix so I called FPL Planning services and they sent a crew out and they looked at it and said that was the underground crew problem so they did nothing and left. Soon after the other light went off too so now the whole block is dark. Apparently the load was too much and burned the fuses.
Planning services is bouncing me around and no one takes responsibility or action.
I hope management sees this complaint and takes action. My number is [protected]

Your web site is not helpful for contacting FPL. Took me 2 hours to find a real person and and even harder to reach someone at Run Smart.
When I called your contractor, FPL A/C RunSmart, I got some silly customer service rep that was joking with a co-worker while dealing with me. I thought I called a girls club with all that giggling going on. I think they were trying to be rude to customers while giggling about it! She kept asking me questions and laughing between questions.
I am not sure if this silly little girl cancelled my service plan as requested.
I was trying to cancel the program, permanently after a technician came and did the job in 10 minutes. It should take at least 1/2 hour and he never even took the cover off and clean the air handler. The contractor that came was Bennett and Sons or www.bennetandsonsac.com. What a gyp! $9.99 per month for 12 months and he was here for only 10 minutes.
*Please make sure my account with FPLES A/C Run Smart is cancelled in it's entirety.
My elderly mom who does not speak fluent English experienced the same situation. They gave her the run around. She waited over an hour to get a live person who then told her that she had to call a different number to set up the appt. for the cleaning. She called on another time to try to cancel and again waited over an hour and it did not happen. Terrible customer service and a program that takes advantage of its customers. Quick to sign people up but then you can't get through to get the service. She has paid 9.99 for about 5 years and they came once to perform the service. Very upsetting!
low power lines
I reported Low power lines in my yard to FPL right after hurricane Irma they are approximately 5 1/2 to 6 hour for half feet high you can reach up and touch them I again complained to an FPL employee that came for an on call related problem showed him the low lines and he told me they were live he told me he would report it and get somebody out here right away it's been out more than 30 days once again and it's my third time reporting this with storm season coming up and being a customer I would like somebody to address this dangerous problem
fpl contractor
May 2, 2018
Dear FPL Customer Service,
On April 18th, 2018 Viking Utility, an FPL Contractor, came to my house (located at 9802 NW 58TH CT, Parkland, FL 33076) to fix a problem that was caused by an AT&T contractor that has been placing underground fiber cables in neighborhood.
Viking Utility opened a hole in my front yard and, it is my assumption that, in doing so they affected a pipe that contains an electrical cable that runs from my house to a street light pole in front of my property. Before they left, they provided me with a receipt that contains the work request number (8186011) and a promise that they would send someone to repair the damaged sod that was caused by their work.
A couple of days later, I noticed that a GFCI located inside my house was tripping. That GFCI protects a parallel that feeds an outdoor 120-V AC outlet and the street light pole electricity. Since I possess an electronic engineering background, I used a multi-meter to find and isolate the culprit circuit which, as stated before, is the line that feeds the street light pole.
On Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 I called Viking Utility to alert them on the situation. The manager of that area (a lady of name Jennifer) promised to send someone to check the issue on that same day or the following at the latest. Since nothing happened I called back on Friday April 27th and another person indicated that they would ask the manager to contact me. Again nothing happened. This morning, May 2nd, 2018 at 10:00 AM I called back again and after explaining the issue over again they said that they would call me but so far they have not done so (it is already 3:00 PM EST).
I have attached a photo that shows the probable damage to the electrical pipe and the receipt that Viking Utility left me when they finished the repair.
Based on the above, I believe that Viking Utility is not assigning any priority to this situation and, therefore, I am raising my concern to you in the hope that the issue can be addressed amicably. I have been a loyal customer of FPL for many years and firmly believe that, at least in my case, Viking Utility is not representing the professionalism and outstanding service that FPL provides to its customers.
Will you please let me know what actions, if any, you are going to take regarding this issue and, if so, how long will it take to address the situation?
Best regards,
Jesus E. Zamora

Viking Utility responded promptly and sent a crew that took care of the problem. Viking Utility provided outstanding service on behalf of FPL.
underground wiring to house
In mid Jan, 2018 I lost all power. FPL was contacted, they came out and put an above ground wire to the meter, as they said I had problems with my connectors in the pedestal. I had an electrician come out after a long search for a good firm. They dug up the wires leading to the pedestal and found the wire were totally corroded and could not supply power to the house. If there had been good wires underground to the pedaestal the job would have been very small and enexpensive. The way it turned out they had todig up the wires and reroute them and they encountered problems which took more time and expense. I believe this is a problem that FPL should be responsible for and I am asking that FPL pay the $3000.00 I was charged to do this job. I have photos and video to show the bad wiring.
my bill
I paid twice by mistake so I call FPL and is imposible to get in touch with them, I have to tell the stupid machine is for disconnect the service finally some one talk to me to said the FPL don't return my money 😡 . They don't provide the service. Anyways this people stole our money every month for years I paid to them 230 $ on winter time and 300 and more on Sumer time and this is a small apartment my husband and I are working the hole day we just came to the house after 7 and when we leve I just put the thermostat at 75 so I don't get why we paid so much money 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 I'm so disappointed white this
disconnecting my service with a balance of paid in full
My FPL balance is 0 and they have the nerve to call my mother to tell her they are disconnecting her service even though she is paid in full. They are incredible. They are making changes and it is our fault so now even though we paid and balance shows 0 our power will be disconnected and my mother is o n oxygen. What the hell is wrong with these people to treat their customers who always pay on time like that.
temporary power
FP&L is refusing to provide temporary power to my power pole. The closest they will come is 400 ft. I am constructing a Discount Tire and need temporary power. There are ways to do what I need, even the city building inspector agrees. It's at 5900 Lake worth, in Green Acres, Fl .. I have never encountered this in 35 yr. of doing this. Refuses to even come out here. I simply cannot build this job using generators. My temporary pole is installed and inspected by the City. If you don't want to help me, please let me know where to try next.

automated answering prevents reaching claims dept
I tried every option and the frustrating automated answering kept giving me options that do not apply to my need. I want to reach the claims dept to inquire about a pending claim. I found no way but to listen to endless irrelevant options and finally make lots of noise on the phone so the system would default to "We are sorry we are having trouble understanding you" so that I could ask to be transferred to the claims dept.
It took me many minutes to get to this point and I was so furious by the time I actually was able to ask for claims that I yelled at the poor person who had nothing to do with this incredibly frustrating and useless system.
Is that the goal of FPL - to get the calling customer so frustrated that they finally reach a person they turn what could be a simple question into a hateful argumentative yelling session?
overcharge
I recently made Payo met a to my account which were returned according to FPL so I called my bank only to be told that my account has no problem that they should be able to take the money out with no fuss .. that happen 3 times ! I was forced to take the automatic payments off in order to pay my bill and not have my electricity disconnected...going forward now I'm charged $71 for takin the automatic payment off and the really rude and useless customer service answer was " talk to you bank" .. is my bank going to pay my FPL bill? No ! ... I want that problem fixed
billing
Suspend my online pay ability after one "recharge" for insufficient funds which charged me $30, they then tell me to use my free checks.com which did not work because they put my account as cash only, so then I was charged another $30. I called them, explained to the lady that I did everything right, made sure I had plenty of money in both of my accounts to pay and it still was recharged for more money.
fpl energy services
I recently received a complaint from a resident regarding a mailing they received that bears your FPL logo but is apparently from a company selling home protection packages for water and sewer lines. The resident who is elderly beacme concerned that they are being targeted in a scam.
Are these mailings authorized by your comapny to use your company name and logo?
Thank You

unsafe driving of company vehicle
This morning (04/10/18 around 10:20am) as I was driving. An aggressive FPL employee in a company truck was tailgating me. Once I got to the Stop Sign and proceeded to drive through, he revved up the truck and passed me in the intersection, crossed over solid double lines and drove towards an oncoming vehicle. Please train your employees NOT to be A-holes on the road.

electric bill daily usage
#[protected] — this is the 2nd time i've submitted a complaint on this website regarding fpl overcharging me double for daily usageof energy — I am being overcharged as though I am using central air, which i'm not — the weather doesn't call for central air at this time — my windows are opened every day — what is fpl problem — I didn't get a lump sum of money as your employees think — stop your employees for adding more usage to my bill account than I am using.
Please — this will be my last time visiting this website...

debris left at worksite
As a former lineman i was never allowed to leave a site until all debris, materials and equipment were picked up. loaded on the vehicle and carted away. Several months ago, several concrete poles were installed along Knuth Road between Woolbright and Boynton Beach Blvd. Instead of hauling off debris, 5 lengths of wooden poles were thrown over a fence into pastureland. At the Knuth Road/Woolbright intersection another wooden pole lies on the side of the road - crossarms still attached. I also find it interesting that when the concrete poles were installed the trucks ran down sign posts that the City of Boynton Beach had installed. Seems to me it's not difficult to remove the signs and stick them back in the ground after the job is finished. As I think about this I hope those poles caused damage underneath and in front of those trucks.
leaning pole
There has been a leaning pole at the end of Elmhurst Street in Delray Beach (directly behind the Shell Station at the corner of Barwick and W Atlantic) FL. The pole belongs to ATT but they will not remove it due to having FPL wires on it. The pole keeps leaning more and more. After the Hurricane there was a slight lean and now its quite pronounced. What would happen if it fell on someone?! FPL Must remove their wires or ATT will not remove the pole.
Good afternoon . The leaning pole behind my house at 507 Swan Ave Miami Spring it is leaning to the point that what keep from leaning more are the power lines this wires will snap in the next coming storm not only that the gas line runs next to this FPL post and may be grater damage if it decide to tip over and uprooting all the utility next to it . I know your are doing work around but will like to know if this part of the agenda. Respectfully Marcos Llerena cell 305.793.9160
