Today I was in fb at pape and cosburn. I have been shoping there for 20 yrs. I was buying food for the food bank when I approached one of the lanes. There was another customer in front of my, he was loading his groceries on to the belt so I did too. Another cashier barked at him telling him the lane was closed. I said to her but there is no sign saying the lane is closed. She said "well we don't have enough sign's to go around, and if there is no cashier at the lane you should assume its closed". I said I have never heard that before, and the fact that you don't have enough signs is not my fault. She continued to argue with me, raising her voice and waving her arms in the air. I was so angry with her I swore at her. She then pointed her arm and finger towards the door and said to me "get out of my store', I told her she could not speak and treat a costumer the way she was speaking to me. I got the manager and looked at me and asked me was our altercation unprovoked on my part, in other words you must have done something to cause this incident. He then asked me to show him who it was, I pointed to the cashier and she very sarcasticlly said to me" I am going to go and have a lovely converstion with my manager" and smirked as she said it. I again was so angry with the way I was being spoken to I swore at her again. At this point the manager came towards me and raised his fist to me and waved it in my face, the cashier at this point started to cry, the manager handled the whole situation unprofesionally and should have intervened with the cashier who was verbally abusing a long time customer.
Desired outcome: THE CASHIER NEEDS TO BE FIRED AND THE MANAGER RETRAINED.
