I purchased a New Frigidaire Refrigerator and Range on 5/18/23. Both appliances have been registered with your Warranty Dept. On or about August 2023 I reported to the Warranty Dept-service order-[protected] that the Frigidaire glass range top was non-functional. A local service tech was sent thru the Warranty Dept. It was established the range was non-functional due to a defective heating element and switch. The heating element and switch were extremely hot. The heating element and switch were turned off. Within seconds of turning off the heating elements and switch a loud sound was heard. Due to the defective heating elements and switch, which were too hot, the glass range top cracked. I contacted the Warranty Dept and I was told the glass range top is not covered (cosmetic). I was further told I had to purchase a new glass range top for $379/plus labor before I could have the Warranty Dept. can replace the heating elements and switch. In turn I stated to the Warranty Dept. I am not going to pay $379 for a new glass range top when the reason the glass top cracked was due to a defective heating element and switch. (which is covered under warranty) I now have a new (purchased 5/23) cracked range top non-functional and unsellable. I need this service resolved and need your legal department information so I can pursue a lawsuit against you. I will also seek to file a Customer Service Report with the Attorney General in my state.
