Disappointing Customer Service Experience with GiftCardMall: Unable to Dispute Transaction
I had a bit of a problem with GiftCardMall recently. I tried to dispute a transaction through their website, but I couldn't access the dispute form. The website told me to call if I had any problems, so I did. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to just told me they would email the dispute form to me. I told them three times that I already had the form emailed to me, but they didn't seem to understand. They just kept telling me that the online form was the only way to dispute a transaction.
I explained that my computer wouldn't load the form, but they didn't seem to care. They suggested that I use my phone instead, but I don't have a personal cellphone. They called their supervisor, who told me the same thing - that the online form was the only way to dispute a transaction. When I told them that the form wasn't working for me, they suggested that I go to a library and use a public computer to fill it out. I was shocked - they wanted me to put my private information into a public computer?
I was put on hold for several minutes, and when they finally got back to me, they told me that I would have to wait longer to speak to a supervisor. I was so frustrated that I just gave up. I don't think I'll ever get that money back. It's really disappointing that GiftCardMall's customer service was so unhelpful and uncaring. I hope I never have to deal with them again.
Misleading Visa Gift Card Terms and Poor Customer Service
So, I bought a Visa gift card from Albertson's to make a purchase on an international website. Unfortunately, the transaction didn't go through. I was surprised to find out that the card was only valid in the US. I checked the package and there was no mention of this condition. I had to open the package to find the Terms and Conditions.
I contacted the customer service representative and the supervisor to explain the situation. They offered me two options: a refund of the balance minus a $5.95 check issuing fee or to buy a prepaid Visa credit card and transfer the funds, which would cost me another purchase/activation fee. I just wanted the purchase fee to be added to the balance since the package did not mention that the card was valid in the US only and the Terms and Conditions were inside the package, which I couldn't open until I purchased the Visa gift card.
I was disappointed that the supervisor didn't do more to help me. They could have at least sent the call to their manager. It seems like they don't care about losing customers, including myself, my family, friends, and their friends. It's a shame because I usually give gift cards as gifts, especially during the holiday season. I learned my lesson and will be more careful in the future.

GiftCardMall Review: A Disappointing Experience with Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service
So, I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty rough time with GiftCardMall. My boss gave me and my family a $200 gift card to help us out during a tough time, but when I tried to use it at Walmart, it just wouldn't work. I was swiping it like crazy, but nothing was happening. I didn't realize that I needed to register the card and set up a PIN and all that jazz. I thought it was just like a regular credit card, you know?
Anyway, I finally figured out how to register it and set up a PIN, but when I tried to use it again a few days later, I was told that I only had $2 left on the card. What the heck?! I never even made a successful purchase with it! So, I called the number on the back of the card to check the recent transactions, and I saw that there were a bunch of $10 charges from the same day I tried to use it at Walmart. They charged me $10 every time I swiped it! That's crazy!
I tried to get in touch with someone at GiftCardMall to figure out what was going on, but it was impossible. I tried calling, emailing, and chatting online, but I never got through to an actual person. I was so frustrated that I just gave up.
But then, today (6/29/22), I finally managed to get through to someone. I explained everything that had happened, but because it had been more than 60 days since the card was purchased, there was nothing they could do. The guy I talked to even tried to tell me that they didn't charge me $10 every time I swiped it, which is a total lie. He also said that the card had been used on Google Play, but I never make purchases on there. I checked my account and there was no record of that card being used.
I wanted to report fraud, but because it had been so long, there was nothing I could do. So now, the person who gave us the gift card is out $200 for nothing. It's a real shame, because I know they were trying to help us out during a tough time. But GiftCardMall really let us down.

GiftCardMall Review: A Shady Business with Fraudulent Practices - Stay Away!
This website called GiftCardMall is a total scam! I mean, seriously, don't even think about giving them access to your hard-earned money. The first thing that tipped me off was how confusing and disorganized their catalog is. They mix up e-cards with regular cards, and if you're not careful, you might end up buying an e-card that you can't even physically hand over to your loved ones. And guess what? They'll send it to YOUR email instead of your recipient's, so they won't even know about it.
But wait, it gets worse. These crooks have a shady business practice of ignoring your attempts to contact them until after they "ship" your order. And by "ship," I mean send an email. How ridiculous is that? And if you don't contact them before they "ship" your email (LOL), they conveniently have an "all sales final" policy that they conveniently forget to tell you about until you need to fix THEIR mistakes. And guess what? They'll use the excuse that they "shipped" your email to steal your money.
I'm telling you, these people are absolute crooks. Don't even think about buying gift cards from them. Go to a brick and mortar store instead. I've heard that online gift card sales are shady in general, but this site takes the cake. They're so blatant about their criminal behavior that something needs to be done about it.
And don't even bother reading any reply they might add to this review. These desperate criminals will say anything to deceive you and get your money. And as far as I know, there are multiple investigations going on about this company for their fraudulent business practices. So, stay away from GiftCardMall if you value your money!

Poor Customer Service and Business Practices from GiftCardMall
I recently bought two $100 Safeway Egiftcards from GiftCardMall. However, my daughter did not receive any email notification about the purchase. I called the customer service within 24 hours to inquire about the issue. The associate informed me that my order needed further information to process, even though my account was already debited. I was a bit confused about this, but the associate assured me that the order would be processed and my daughter would receive her email with the attached cards that evening or first thing in the morning.
The next morning, my daughter received two emails with a "redeem" button attached. Unfortunately, neither email had a working giftcard. She was notified to call customer service. Since that day, I have placed multiple phone calls to the 877 number listed on my invoice, but to no avail. Each time, I was told that my issue was moved to a second level tier for further investigation. I was told it was an IT issue and that department was working on it. However, my daughter, who is an ex-Marine, has no access to money to buy groceries for my grandchildren. It's been more than four days now, and the issue is still unresolved.
I have been very frustrated with GiftCardMall's customer service. I have called multiple times, and each time, I have been told the same thing. I even asked the representative if the 2nd tier answer was a canned response since each rep had the same exact response. I also checked multiple review sites online and found that other consumers have faced similar issues with fraudulent activity from vendors.
In my last call to GiftCardMall, I had a Safeway customer service rep involved in the conference call. I asked the GiftCardMall rep if they have known that they had an issue for well over 4 days, were they still offering giftcards for Safeway to still be purchased causing others to have the same issue. To my surprise, I was told "YES". This type of business practice is very alarming and unfortunate that a company like Safeway has partnered with.
Overall, I am very disappointed with GiftCardMall's customer service and business practices. I hope they resolve my issue soon and take steps to ensure that such issues do not occur in the future.

Avoid GiftCardMall.com: Scammed and No Resolution
I had a really bad experience with GiftCardMall (giftcardmall.com). I had to send multiple emails to them because I got scammed. I bought a $200 gift card to TJMaxx for a Christmas present last year (2020). But when my daughter went to redeem it at the local store, they said it had already been used even though the PIN had not been scratched off yet. I was really upset and didn't know what to do. So, I contacted my friend who is the CEO of another gift card company to ask him how things worked in this business. He told me that card numbers and PINS are kept in a database and there is a high likelihood that someone hacked their system and redeemed them (most probably online since all they had were digits, not the physical card).
I found out that Giftcardmall.com is just a card-fulfilling website owned by BLACKHAWK NETWORK. This is the company you need to contact to get a resolution. Michael Day, Legal General Counsel, begrudgingly agreed to refund my money in communication with my state's AG's office. The people at GCM.com were still sending back "sorry, final sale, kiss off" emails. It was really frustrating and I felt like they didn't care about me at all.
The bottom line is that there is some sort of internal fraud going on there that no one seems to care about until you get someone bigger and badder than them involved. They will try to wear you down with their "deny the claim" messages. So, I recommend that you Google your state's attorney general to find the contact info to email them. I guarantee that they will help you.
By the way, Blackhawk is owned by the Private Equity firm, Silver Lake. PE firms HATE bad PR. So, I would call their NY office to voice your concerns. You can Google to find their office phone number, this site won't allow the phone number to post.
Overall, I would not recommend using GiftCardMall (giftcardmall.com) because of my bad experience. It's really disappointing that they didn't take responsibility for their mistake and tried to deny my claim. I hope this review helps you avoid the same situation.

Disappointing Experience with Giftcardmall.com: Delayed Delivery and Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased two visa gift cards from giftcardmall.com, and I have to say that my experience was not the best. The first visa gift card that I ordered was supposed to be delivered via UPS next day air guaranteed delivery on 12/31/2012 by 10:30 AM. However, I only received the activation code for the visa gift card via UPS next day air, and I did not receive the actual visa gift card until 01/02/2013 at 10:17 AM. I was quite disappointed with this delay, especially since the tracking information had indicated that the visa gift card was out for delivery.
To make matters worse, when I contacted UPS to request a guaranteed service refund for the express delivery fee of $19.99, I was informed that they could not issue a refund because the service contract with giftcardmall.com did not allow refunds. This was quite frustrating, as I felt that I had been let down by both giftcardmall.com and UPS. I had to accept the loss of $19.99 due to UPS's inability to deliver the package on time.
The second visa gift card that I ordered was delivered on time on 01/03/2013 via UPS next day air mail before 10:30 AM. However, when I received the activation code (in a separate envelope on the same day), I realized that it was not for the correct visa gift card. In fact, the activation code that I received was for another gift card that I had ordered through Staples.com (which is an affiliate/partner of giftcardmall.com). I had not even ordered overnight service for Staples.com, so this was a clear mistake on giftcardmall.com's part.
When I contacted customer service for giftcardmall.com, they said that they would send a request to their "second level" to activate the correct card by the next day at 5PM eastern standard time. While I appreciated their efforts to rectify the situation, I was still quite disappointed with the overall experience.
Overall, I would caution others to be careful when purchasing from giftcardmall.com. While they do offer a wide variety of gift cards, their delivery and customer service can be quite unreliable. I hope that my experience will help others make a more informed decision when buying from this website.

Unauthorized transaction
I opened my 100 gift card and when I gave it as a gift the card was already used to a VNLA SPCL for the 99.94. how is that even possible when i just open the card. I bought this card so that I could help a new mother with the supplies she will need to take care of her new baby. Now she has no way to buy diapers and bottles and I have no way to help her either.

On 6/9/23 VNLA SPCL A created a charge in the amount of $299.24 leaving my mother's balance at $0.74 on her Visa Gift Card. She is on fixed income and lives in a different state than I do. I have read one other comment on this page claiming the same VNLA SPCL A took their money without authorization.
This card was purchased with $300 place on it on 6/4/2023 in Kentucky and mailed to New Mexico

Gift card already has charges on it
I received a gift card and it already has charges on it. I have looked at the complaints page for this card issuer and I see this has happened to other receipients of you card and to THE SAME COMPANY as I see used my card.
CARD NUMBER IS [protected] and the entire smount charged was $99.62 and was to VNL SPCLA in New York. This is the same company that other people have been hit by and reported to youi as well. Seems to me that someone has access to card info as it has been happening to multiple customers. I did not use the card and I want to know how this is happening. I received two visa debit gift cards as a gift. When i went to use them today for the first time, they have fraudulent charges on them
When I tried to use my Visa Debit gift card today, I was truly embarrassed due to the fact that I had no money on the cards. When I got home, I looked up my balance and found out that there was a fraudulent charge on them. This is what was on it VNLA SPCL A New York 36 10011 US ($99.73). I did not order anything. All I did was activate my card and choose a pin. Please help me resolve this issue.

The prepaid card on Friday 4/7/23 had a balance of $42.64. Today when he tried to use the card they declined his card. His lunch was only $15.13. There is an unauthorized charge of 42.35. I took a screen shot and I have attached to this complaint page. This card has been locked up since Friday, 4/7/23.
Unauthorized charge was from a company called UNLOCKT.ME. PLEASE REFUND ON THIS CARD.

Pre-paid MasterCard
I received a pre-paid gift card as a gift and it is missing 2 of the digits off the front of the card. I have attempted to use this card but it is being declined everywhere I have tried.
Unfortunately, without the full 16 digits I am unable to speak with anyone at the card company to get this situation resolved. It is a shame that due to what seems like a simple error has created a problem. I completely understand that mistakes happen - it's the fact that there is no way to talk to a single person about this.
Desired outcome: Being able to talk to someone and see if there is a way to transfer the $100 balance from the card missing the full card info to a new card

cant activate card
I've been trying to activate the card for a few hours and the website keeps saying failed to open, I tried on my cellphone I've tried at work I've tried on my home computer and it still don't work. this is crazy yo buy a gift card and can't use it. Visa gift card
Was given a $500 gift card that I put away until I needed the money. Pulled out the card and was unable to use it. I went online to check the balance and when I check the balance on the phone it says my information entered is wrong. Then when I try to check it online it gets me to the pick the image security screen and says I chose correctly but then says there’s an error and won’t show the balance. I’ve called multiple times and had to fax “proof of ownership” and my ID twice, and still no resolve. They have only told me it’s registered to someone else. I don’t understand how that can be since I had to tear open the card holder and it’s been sitting safe in a safe. I feel like I’ve been scammed!

I have been trying to check my balance on my gift card, and when I check the balance on the phone it says my information entered is wrong. Then when I try to check it online it gets me to the pick the image security screen and says I chose correctly but then says there’s an error and won’t show the balance. I can’t reach a human on the phone system. Horrible system. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to rectify this.

Need a refund
Received Gift card ending 7326 on January 14, 2023 in the amount of $100. The card had not left my possession since gifted and the amount of $100 was confirmed on January 14, 2023. It was never used at any store or website until attempted on February 1st on Amazon which was unsuccessful as balance was insufficient. Checked balance on website to see what was the issue if never used and balance remaining was $9.75. Activity showed that a purchase was made on February 2, 2023 in the amount of $90.25 at "SQ*SHOE BOUTIQUE". It was still February 1st when I checked the balance and it showed that balance and activity even though that date was a day ahead. I do not know what "SQ*SHOE BOUTIQUE" is and did not make a single purchase of any kind nor authorize a purchase of any kind with this giftcard. Cannot get anyone from giftcardmall on the phone to report the fraudulent charge and their website does not have any chat. I attached a photo of the card balance and am happy to provide any additional documentation to prove it was a gift and never used. The merchant "SQ*SHOE BOUTIQUE" should be investigated as well. Will be contacting attorney general as well.

Visa gift card
I have the same issue others are having in that I cannot register my card (s) on line through your web portal... I can only check my balance and personalize my pin. HOWEVER, I'm unable to use this card for online purchases because the card ISN'T Registered! Kinf of useless at this point. Can not speak to anyone on line and ONLY contact information capable of being reached is the useless customer service on the back of the card or SNAIL MAIL (No email address). In this age of online support, I find that the ability to resolve this issue is unsatisfactory.
Desired outcome: I would like a response that effectively allows me to register the card and a phone number of an actual person that can accomplish this.
