“I booked a flight through GoToGate, and they changed my flight from 15 hours to 42 hours without any explanation or adequate compensation. They also refused to refund the seat selection I paid for, and the customer service was extremely rude when I tried to resolve the issue. Very disappointed with the lack of support and the drastic flight change without proper communication.”

In my distress, I accidentally booked two tickets with Gotogate for my nephews funeral. I booked the wrong date. I immediately called them asking to change date. They said I had to read out to the Airline (Breeze). I did. *** refunded the money back to them. They said they never received it. So I am in distress, I rebooked for correct date immediately afterwards, not realizing I am dealing with a scam company. They said my credit card didnt go through although I have these two charges showing on my account. I have called them constantly and they give me a different excuse every time. I am already stressed trying to get to the funeral and dealing with them has been a nightmare. I have reported it to be bank. I booked a flight from New York to Los Angeles on February 21, I realize I booked the wrong date, call them back to have them cancel, I made them hold my phone call while they doing the cancellation to make sure I got an email from them confirming the flight cancellation. I know the US law any airline or broker doing business in the country, we have 24 hours to cancel with a full refund. They promised me a refund, but the next day I got an email stating the refund was partial, not the full amount. Waiting for two weeks hoping for the rest, on March 3rd I called them to demand the rest of the refund and also informed the customer service about the law and that I'll file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. He promised someone will look into it and get back to me within 48 hours. Nothing for two weeks. Today I called my credit card company and they will dispute with Gotogate and refund the rest to my account.

his is Adam Everitt. I have been a long-time faithful customer with Booking.com. I had to cancel my Flight from Honolulu to Manila on 03 September 2023 Customer reference number, 40-[protected]. I worked with Philippine airlines to get the refund and eventually they agreed because of the nature of cancellation. The money has been received by booking .com. I was told that there was a 90 day waiting period before I could get my refund and that date was December 24, 2023. on January 4, 2024 I received an email stating that it was sent back to my credit card. I have called multiple times over the last 5 months to get this fixed. I called again and again from Jan 4th till today January 22. The customer service center explained to me that it was a technical problem within booking.com and that it was sent to the back office for processing. As of today January 22 I was told that payment was sent back to my credit card on January 15 but to no avail I have not received the credit. I really dont understand as to the holding of my money as I am paying interest on that money and booking.com has offered no compensation for the cost to me. Please forward my emaill to Corporate Office in Amsterdam to notify them of this customers displeasure. I hope that this email will be taken very serious and the funds be sent back and compensation issued due to the fault and failure of booking.com.

I purchased my ticket from Auckland to Dubai through the Gotogate booking website, the airline had changed the flight schedule, making me eligible for a refund, and Gotogate assured me that in two weeks I will get my refund, till today 5 weeks gone by, I haven’t received my refund, several call I made, still they lying to me airline didn’t send a refund, I had the worst experience with this company. I highly suggest that you avoid booking with them, even if they offer much cheaper tickets. They caused me a lot of trouble when I tried to get a refund for my tickets.

They don't even deserve one star. I would need a - 1 mil starts button to describe their customer support.
Long story short: the airline canceled the return flight and proposed an alternative that I wasn't happy with anymore. I needed to change the departure as well. First of all, they weren't reachable by phone. They have a press 1, 2, 3 etc menu and whatever option you choose nothing happens. If you press nothing - nothing happens. So contacting them via phone was impossible despite several trials. After chatting with them for 2h in one day, they said they will email me and then call me. Nothing. After chatting with them for 3h 3 days later (only because they are absolutely idiots and they kept sending me from one dept to another for a flight change request) they said they will call me. Nothing happened. I honestly think they are doing everything on purpose to make me cancel the flight. Which in the end I had to do since there was absolutely no way to change it. Have literally never experienced this before.

We booked the flight over booking.com. The only thing we needed to change was the Name on my Ticket. Everything was on time submitted to GO to GATE - Booking.com (5 weeks before travel)! Lufthansa was waiting for GO to GATE to take action! After calling them countless times the only respond we got is - no worries we will escalate your issue to the next level.
IN A VERY BAD ENGLISH
After almost 5 weeks nothing has been done! We paid the first fee 25$ for the change which I personally thought ok, now something will happen!
But NO AGIAN nobody took action - they wanted another 612$ because the time expired to make the changes! The Office we had contact too, is somewhere in India this People seem to read from a script and have no idea what they are doing.
When we asked for a supervisor or manger there was never one around!

I tried to change the date of a flight from Vienna to Sydney. After numerous phone calls, I was told they cannot help me and I had to call the turkish airline directly. I called them and they change the date and paid for it but the airline did not have my details or email address so I did not receive an itinerary. Gotogate cancelled by flight without consent
Summary of Issues with Booking on December 25:
I booked a flight from Osaka to Okinawa for 6 people from January 27 to January 31 on Peach Aviation.
I tried to change the booking to December 27-31 instead.
I was told I could only cancel the booking and that it was a non-refundable ticket. I could get Peach points back but not cash, and I was uncertain about claiming any tax refund.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and received a call within two hours.
The supervisor repeated the same information. I asked about the transparency of the ticket restrictions and how to claim a tax refund. I was told to submit a claim through the website and that the booking didn’t mention any restrictions at the time of purchase. I considered contacting the airline directly as a last resort.
When checking the booking before contacting the airline, I found that it had been canceled.
I called an agent who said the booking was only canceled on Booking.com and still active with the airline.
After verifying, I found out the booking was indeed canceled with the airline. I asked for a refund, and the agent said they would investigate and call me back in 1-2 hours. I also requested the claim process details promised by the supervisor.
After waiting, I called again and was told my case was still pending, and they would request an urgent callback from a supervisor.
Four hours later, I called again and was assured I would be contacted soon and that the issue was escalated. I requested the claim process email again.
On December 26:
After 24 hours, I called and was told there was an investigation. They read a summary that suggested I had agreed to cancel the booking, but I was actually answering a question about the lack of transparency.
I asked why I hadn’t been contacted. The agent checked but said no supervisors were available and assured me I would receive a call in 1-2 hours.
Two hours later, I called again, and they claimed they tried to contact me but couldn’t reach me. I hadn’t received any calls and was told to wait another 24-48 hours for a supervisor to call. I asked for the claim process email and was informed there was no claim process on the website — only through customer service.

Irresponsible customer service
We had to make a change to the outbound journey of our flight. Gotogate for three days could not process the change due to a system issue on their end. 22 hours before the departure they said it was resolved and asked us to pay $$$ to confirm the change. Payment was made and change confirmed by Gotogate. We assumed it was all set. 12 hours after the flight departure (of the initial date) they called us and said the airlines refusedy the change. We were left with no other option and they asked us to deal with the airlines directly. Beware of this useless, irresponsible and not unhelpful company and customer service agents.

Despite this, we were still want to charged an additional $900 for the flight on bussines class, which was originally priced at $150 in economic class

I booked flights through Go to Gate in partnership with booking. com for an upcoming holiday and have had to contact them multiple times since to request changes which has been a complete nightmare.
Firstly, I wanted to change our flight home by 1 day. Our original return flights cost £280 (for 2 passengers) yet I was quoted in excess of £1,500 just to change the return flight. Not only this, but every time I called to try and speak with someone I was given a different answer. I could see online that there were economy seats available on the flight that I wanted to change to so I have no idea how they were looking to charge £1,500. I must have called 15 times and the level of customer service given on the phone is absolutely ridiculous. The teams on the phone have no idea what they are doing. Multiple times my call was cut short and not once did I receive a call back, I then had to start the whole process again.
Eventually I gave up with the change as I had wasted so much time already and was clearly getting nowhere so I kept my original flights.
I then needed to add 1 suitcase to our booking, again this took more than 15 phone calls which is a complete joke and a waste of everyones time. My sister also tried to call and was quoted £1,876 to add 1 suitcase to our booking. Clearly we knew this was incorrect but again due to the completely unsatisfactory level of service given on the phone this was supposedly all that the company were able to offer. After various other phone calls and emails I then added a bag (yesterday) at a price of £105.
Never in my life have I experienced customer service so awful, I genuinely have no idea how this company are still allowed to operate. I must have had over 30 phone calls with this company and various emails too just to try and get a price for a flight change and the addition of a suitcase to our booking.
I would never ever use this company again.

I have been dealing with this matter since December 3, 2020. It is now February 20, 2021 and I have not heard of a status update from Go to Gate. I will be filing a better business bureau complaint and will look at filing charges against this company for fraudulent activity. I had booked a flight to Tunisia back in late November 2020 to be married in December. I checked in for my flight at Winnipeg International Airport and was REFUSED boarding because I did not have my COVID test result which falls out of my hands and required me to REBOOK my flight. I called Go to Gate customer Service and was on hold for over an hour and still did not get through to anyone. I'm at the airport, frustrated, and cannot reach an agent. Finally, I returned to home to try again in the evening hour, as this seems to be a less busy more convenient time since your customer service reps are in a different time zone (INDIA) and to my dismay, I had several rude representatives who showed ZERO compassion, empathy or support in finding a solution. I had one representative tell me and my fiancé that a new ticket would cost over $5000 dollars (ridiculous)! I finally spoke with a decent gentleman who said that he would send an email to customer care department who deals with refunds. I was happy with this and thanked him for being so helpful. Because I was getting married in three days, and go to gate wouldn't resolve my problem or rebook my ticket, I had to book another ticket with a different agency... this cost me another $1500 dollars! Three weeks had passed and I still hadn't heard from anyone. Upon my return back to Canada, I continue to make several attempts in calling to have my refund processed. I had made three calls to Lufthansa (air carrier) deferred me back to Gotogate citing that they are the owners of the ticket and that gotogate would be the ones to authorize a refund while gotogate cites that Lufthansa has to remove the no show status on the ticket (which is not accurate because I did show up to the airport and was REFUSED boarding due to COVID-19 policy. Also Lufthansa does not own this ticket so it is up to Gotogate to settle the refund and regarding my apparent "no show"I had taken my COVID test in the time frame I was told I needed to produce a negative result in order to fly. What happens in regards to how soon The result is available to me is beyond my control and therefore I should not be responsible for losing out on my money because of this. I was at the airport checked in and as soon as I knew I couldn't board my flight, I immediate called this agency NOT GETTING THROUGH due to long wait times. Again, this is not my fault!
I booked a flight 4 days ago on April 6th 2023. I have received notice that I am unable to fly at that time due to unforeseen circumstances. I tried to cancel my flight with ample time to allow the airline to fulfill the seat. The flight is not until May 18th which is ~38 days away. In accordance to GoToGate's policy, they claim the following:"Airline regulations generally do not permit refunds of canceled tickets. We must always comply with the airlines regulations and cannot make our own exceptions. However, in some individual cases it is still possible to have airline tickets refunded." They state they must comply with the airline's regulations and cannot make their own exceptions. I believe this is fair and just. So I visited Spirit Airline's website to check their policy. Their cancellation policy states I can receive a full refund with a $69 fee given my departure date is between *** days away. Great news, I can get my money back with a $69 fee. Stings a bit, but acceptable. So I call GoToGate and speak with a representative. They unapologetically offer me $1.40 in flight credit if I want to cancel my flight. That's less than 1% of my flight price because unforeseen circumstances arose within 7 days of placing my order. That is blatantly unacceptable, and goes directly against their own policy.
To whom it may concern, This message is to briefly state my complaint against Gotogate online travel agency which is addressed below. I purchased a ticket from the mentioned agency for a flight in December 2022, which was from Los Angeles to a destination serviced by Turkish Airlines. A few days before the flight date, the airline changed the flight time and, according to their policy, they offered me the option to request a full refund if I did not accept the changes. I requested the refund, but the airline instructed me to process the refund request through the travel agency because the ticket was not purchased directly from the airline. I initiated a refund request through the agency and they began the process. I left the country on February 2, 2023, and was out of town for a while, leading them to assume I would not return to follow up on the refund. Since I was not available, they closed my case and emailed me stating that a refund was not possible, even though they had received the refunded money from the airline. I contacted the airline to inquire about the status of my ticket on April 9, 2023, and they confirmed that it had been refunded. I have explained the entire process in detail in the file attached for your reference. Considering all supporting documents attached, I kindly request you to reopen my complaint file and ensure the agency refunds the full amount of the ticket ($901.56) to me. I purchased round trip tickets from an undisclosed location through gotogate/allegiant on March 21st, 2022, for a trip scheduled in August 2022. I had to reschedule the trip for January 2023. However, Allegiant cancelled my trip in January 2023 on October 5th, 2022. Following the cancellation, Allegiant returned my funds to gotogate, which gotogate acknowledged receiving on October 25th, 2022. Despite this, I have not received the refund. Each time I contact gotogate, they assure me that they will prioritize the refund process and that I should expect it within a few days. The delay is perplexing, as it has been nearly six months, and I am concerned that they are withholding my money.

I purchased 2 tickets to Bali with Thai Airways through Gotogate in october 2019 for £1,153.66. Shortly after Thai airways went into liquidation. Gotogate refused to refund saying they need to be refunded by the Airline first.
Fast forward to 2024, i speak with Thai airways who confirm via email they refunded Gotogate my full ticket cost in October 2023 !
I have tried to contact Gotogate, the customer services people no longer recognise my booking reference. The customer services people emailed me to say in line with Airline policy i cannot be issued with a refund ! Gotogate have held onto my Money since October 2023 and dispite proof from Thai air, they wont refund it.

No refund!
I booked a ticket, canceled it within the hour, and received an email confirming that the refund would be completed in 2 to 5 working days. However, it's been over a month, and I haven't received anything. I've been calling customer care every week for an update, but each time, I get the same response: "escalated to the transaction team." They are not providing any transaction number or any updates at all. I have been very patient and polite. Now they are disconnecting my calls while keeping me on hold.

Refund not given/ been given the run around
My flight for 1/12/2024 was canceled by the airlines on 1/11/2024. A refund was requested by GoToGate on 1/11/2024. I still had not heard anything by 1/19/2024 so i reached out to Southern Airways to ask about a refund. They said I qualify for a refund but they need to hear from GoToGate so they can provide a waiver code. GoToGate is saying they reached out to the airlines but still as of today (1/26/2024) the airlines states that they have not received anything from GoToGate requesting a refund. I have received emails from Southern Airways confirming that they agree that I should be issued the refund but they need to hear from GoToGate directly. GoToGate is still saying today (1/26/2024) that they have reached out to Southern Airways but have not heard back from them. I have emailed GoToGate the correspondence between myself and Southern Airways and have heard nothing. I just want my refund that Southern is saying in entitled to.

Good evening, I have been trying to reach an agent that can resolve my issue with no avail. I recently sent a complaint form and the reply I received was that booking was not at fault and my issue was with American Airlines. Because my issue still has not been resolved. I would like to request you review my case again. I am requesting a full refund as I tried resolving and no one seems to care. My return flight is not what I requested as it has me going out of two different airports and I cannot do that. Please return my full money as I paid for a change fee that was not done correctly and because this has turned into a huge headache for me and too much back and forth without any resolutions, I suggest my refund and I will start the process different way which does not involve so many parties. I just got off the phone with American Airlines and they state that they cannot help me as booking.com has to resolve my issue.
It is nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone online to resolve and issue with Booking.com and all I get is thrown to so many pages and none with provide me with the number to get a resolution, I have spent numerous nights trying to reach and agent and when I finally did through go gate my problem did not get resolved. Will not refund me on flights that the airline canceled
Booked flights through Gotogate to fly with Nokair. The Airline cancelled both my going and return flights. I have sent about 20 emails but they are coming up with all kinds of excuses. It is quite obvious to me that they are trying to get away with it.

Cancelled flight ticket not refunding the bank charge
GoToGate canceled my order and I got refunded me some days later. However, when I had paid them, there was a consequent bank charge which they refuse to take in charge.
Even the refund received was less than what I paid due to the exchange rate.
But at least they could have refunded the bank charge during the payment because the cancellation occurred from their end.
They did not even give me a new ticket and told me to check with the airline directly.
I got the worse experience.

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Travel Company (Trip.ae) which is part of gotogate global
The issue that I have experienced was: I Tried to change my flight after the flight. That was clearly stated in fare rules for a penalty. Trip.ae agent told me that it is not allowed and it is written at them but not shown to client and refused the change completely.
It occurred on: 29/12/2023
This meant that This affects me to lose 1,288$ as i can not use my trip.

No proof of cancelation, no news on refund.
