On 11 Aug 2021 while walking along Soo Chow Walk towards Thomson Plaza at about 1545pm, a guy Muhammad Nazmi Bin Mahad, S8607351Z, Blk 196 Kim Keat Ave #07- 504 S310196 H/P number [protected] abandon his bicycle and ran towards me, begging me in bended knees to help him. He was in his Grab Food attire and bicycle.
He was perspiring, telling me that he fell and broke his phone, showing me his bruise right foot and asking me to help him with $180 so that he can repair his phone, if not he will not be able to work without having a phone. He promised to pay me back at the end of the month, but yesterday when I call the number it cannot get through. There is also no transfer of $180 back to my bank account.
I loan him the money as I took pity on him because of his continuous begging and his possibility of not able to continue with his work. I then transferred $180/- using Paynow account to him. I now required Grab to assist to recover the money loan to him on my behalf. Your assistance is highly appreciated. Thanks.
Regards.

Desired outcome: Recovery of money loan.
This guy is still scamming today (11 June 2022) 8.45pm at Esso Aljunied B outlet. Same exact modus operandi. Please take note. Almost got scam. Thanks to this post, I rejected him. Btw, he is now wearing food panda shirt.
I also met this guy on 18 Feb, 2023 around 9pm. He is in the green Grab Delivery uniform. Location is at Meyappa Chettiar Road, Opposite Woodsville condo. He also showed me his broken handphone, he fell, got hurt, and how he is a caregiver, and now with his phone broken he cannot make delivery. He asked for $80 to repair his phone and he will return the money when he receives the caregiver subsidy.

When I help, it is out of goodwill. When his intentions is to cheat, this is not acceptable. I hope that grab can take this delivery guy to task.
Well played, out of my goodwill, I just got scammed $60
Feeling so foolish after reading this, as I just got scammed by this guy as well. He said he fell while making a delivery, and showed me his cracked phone. He said he needed $150 to fix the phone so that he could continue to make deliveries, he had $50 cash so he needed $100. As I was with my baby, I was in a rush to leave, so in a hurry, I decided to paynow $100 to his number without doing some checks (like doing a Google search on his name or to call his number to see if he was really using the spoilt phone). He was wearing the green Grab Delivery uniform. On hindsight, maybe he’s not even from Grab and was just wearing the uniform to scam others. Location was at Toa Payoh, right opposite TPY Polyclinic. Until he is caught, I believe he will continue to go around cheating people. Please pass the word to friends and family, and hopefully the One above will give him the punishment he deserves.
