unable to activate card
I purchased a green dot with $250.00 at a rite aid store located on ichmond ave in staten island N.Y. last friday the the 17th of November. I am beyond aggrevated as i can not activate this card. I tried on line numerous times. Response is and has been sorry please try again later..green dot is currently not working. Something close to that. I have also called number on card asv well as quite a few different numbers that i found pin your website. All automated. This states this card must br activated on line. Im in ny to help my 90 year old mom due yup surgery. 250.00 may not be a large amount to you but out was the only money i had brought with me for cabs to and from hospital for myself as well as food.
Again I'm extemely upset. As of now i don't even know how i will get to airport to return to Florida.. Your prompt response will be extremely appreciated.

I bought and have reciept of purchase loaded it with 25 dollars and wdn i tryed to activate it it says invalid card number. I am pissed off i need the money from it i have a account now card. prepaid visa - dispute
I submitted by fax and email 2 Green Dot dispute forms October 7th 2017 with a total of 7 transactions following green dot dispute procedure and recieved confirmation from both methods the documents were recieved. On October 16th 2017 I contacted GD to follow up as the timeline prescribed had expired with no word and no credit. I was told the forms were lost and I would need to resubmit starting at the beginning despite the error being on the part of GD. I submitted the 2 dispute forms again on October 16th 2017 again by both email and fax and again this was confirmed. Follow up after the prescribed timeline and was told the dispute was not processed because GD does not handle quality of service disputes this was another error by GD as this was not the reason for the disputes. A HO staffer resubmitted on my behalf a 3rd time and assured me the case would be worked asap and no further errors would occur. I was promised resolution by November 15th 2017 at the very latest. Follow up November 15th 2017 and GD is delaying again with no end in sight unethical and bad faith

I purchased a greendot prepaid card to pay my bills with that are due. After registering the card I tried using the card onlibe to pay my bills.in the past I have never had a problem but today it kept declinung my card. I called cystomer servuce and was told I would not. Be able to use my card for 8 hours! I explained my situation to customer service. And all the lady could tell me was to go swipe my card in a store and use it there. Im not trying to buy items out of a store, in trying to pay my light bill so my family will have lights. I shouldnt have to wait to use my money. I will never buy another greendot card again.

I loaded my moneypak and then, because the instructions are not clear, tried to load my platinum credit card. The money has not been added to my account, I have talked to moneypak and platinum and both are absolutely no help. So I just lost All the money I put on that card, this is a joke! I will not be wasting my time with this company any longer! I am done! I just lost 300 and no one wants to help me? Seriously?! This company is a joke.

green dot prepaid visa
This started on November 2, 2017 with a purchase from the Happy Valley, Oregon Rite Aid.
This would be considered theft in most circumstances. I handed $500.00 in cash to a Rite Aid check-out person yesterday for the Green Dot pre-paid Visa and received a receipt. After going home and following what are supposedly the correct protocols to activate and use it, my money is not available to me now.
I have tried all Green Dot's customer service numbers first to register and activate the card, which didn't work and then later to report that it couldn't be registered. I called Rite Aid where I purchased it yesterday to let them know what happened and requested a refund, no resolution thus far. Then I tried to register on Green Dot's website but the card number would not register and I am now blocked (for 24 hours) after 3 failed tries to register. There was no advance warning that you'd be blocked after 3 failed online registration attempts.
I'm really shocked that this could happen. I feel like I've been scammed or robbed. I am very angry right now.
There has to be an actual live human being to address these issues. If Green Dot cannot or will not provide that, then they should be shut down. I want my money back ASAP. I want to know that this will never happen to others.

Moneypak is suppose to be convenient. It is not. Sometimes when people owe me money they will give me a moneypak. When I want to verify the funds are on there I have called your customer service number only to find what a hassle it is. I don't always want to put it on my card right away just want to find out the balance of the moneypak. Try explaining that to a bunch of [censor]. Now I can't even get to a live person because they have flagged me or some [censor]. So now I have a moneypak in hand and I had to just trust that the person who gave it to me really put money on it. Thanks for nothing.
kroger customer service/money services reloads
I reload my card using greendot a minimum of one per week on either Thursdays or Fridays...It usually is not a problem...
3 weeks ago..I tried loading my card using greendot at Kroger on Hwy 92 in Acworth, Georgia and on Jiles Rd. in Kennesaw, Georgia...both of them told me my card would not read...but there is no problems when I try and buy something...
So I ordered a brand new card form my bank...I take it up there and load it with no problem...i place it in a padded casing and don't touch it for a week and then I go to Kroger today and 3 employees could not get the card to read...then a manager comes over and the card reads with no problem at all...they all used the same codes as I watched them type the same keys in every time they tried it...the manager did not do anything different except she swiped it about 20 times in a row and it finally loaded...
As of this result...green Dot has cause the last inconvenience for me this time. I use to purchase "Money Pak" cards until I scratched one off and there were no numbers on the back and no one could do anything for me...not even green dot...

October 27th 2017 I purchased a green dot money pack card at Fred's store in Monticello, Florida for $410.00 to pay bills. It's Monday October 30th, and I'm still on the run around to understand where's my hard working money went to. Customer service tells me to call back green dot & still no answer. They tell me to wait 24 hours. Still one representative tells me to call the claims department. I just want my $410.00 dollars on my card that I've worked hard for to pay my bills. I've had and been a faithful user of this card without any complants, until last week.
I tried buying something an got card declined. After going home and calling I found that a block was put on my card an said to protect me from fraudulent purchases. I call number am can't get help just says go to website which as well ain't worth crap because says it can't find my card anywhere in system. No live help, online support, an forbid if Walmart workers could ever have to hold up to a mistake they all claim they have no clue on how to help.
All I pray is that the police are able to set this mislead mess aside an arrest all the crooks so hard working people get to keep their money.

monthly maintenance fee despite direct deposit
I am constantly charged the monthly maintenance fee of $9.95, despite receiving direct deposits monthly over the listed $1000 in the Green Dot FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions). I spoke with agents in August, and most recently today as to why I was charged, even though I meet the criteria listed on their website. I was told that my specific card did not qualify for this monthly fee waiver, and it was the only one that didn't qualify. It's strange, because each time I bring it up they waive the fee, but continue to charge it hoping I won't notice it each month, as they charge on different days each month between other small transactions. They also do not list this new information on the card packaging, nor on their website. Due to this, I will be immediately closing my account with green dot, and filing a report for this, and multiple other issues I have experienced with them, and implore you not to use this company if you value your sanity.

So there was around $215 removed from my account due to god knows what when it was available to me that day and they had no transaction showing on my account for that amount that was being held due to the transaction clearly saying $466 was adjusted by hertz rental car company. That part was fine things happen but when I called over the weekend that this took place I was assured that it would be expedited because he was able to see what I was talking about. So that Monday I started to call in just to see what was being done to fix the issue. Monday was fine I didn't expect anything major to be done but I did want to know if it was at least being looked at. On Tuesday it was a whole different ball game. I called in on my lunch break and was disconnected two times. I then decided to call once I was off work and was placed on a hold only in turn to be hung up on again. I called back two times after that and got a nice representative. My hold time for a supervisor or manager was ridiculous. All in all I am still on hold and had time to write this entire review. Most of the representatives had a mono tone no empathy overall no good customer service skills. Trust me I know I work in a call center and there is no excuse for a disconnect with no return call from anyone. Just wish I could of found a better sercured card to go with. So today I spoke to a manager and he was just as rude. After everything I have now left a voicemail for the mangers manager because the information provided the last two week contradicts each other. Hope to have a resolution soon so I can pay it off and closer the account. I do not recommend there services to anyone. The card it self is cool but the people who work for the company are not well trained and rude and need to undergo retraining.

I originally called in because my card was lost I spoke to a representative & she advised me a new ID card would get there in 5-7 business days. I called a 2nd Time spoke to a representative & was advised the card would take 1 more day. I called today & rep refused to let me speak to a supervisor due to me being black & advised me my acct was locked. I advised the rep. I needed to speak to a supervisor. The rep refused to get me to a supervisor until I told him that he is doing this because I'm black & I will sue Green Dot for racial descrmination. Then he found a supervisor & the supervisor transfer me to complaints. I ended up emailing [protected]@greendot.com my ID card & work badge & social security card front & back. I am going to contact the BBB & file a complaint with Green Dot & I'm going to get a lawyer to file a discrimination law suit & request the person who refused originally to speak to a supervisor gets fired & everyone who touched my account gets fired. I requested a new Walmart money card online I already have a old account and when I receive my card and try to activate it they told me my account is lock and I have to upload some identifications I dit it too many times diferents way and they don't accepted I have a deposit from the federal emergency assistance and I need my money back soon as possible

On Thursday, October 12, 2017 after direct deposit was posted my husband and I immediately noticed unauthorized purchase for Amazon Prime. We then immediately contacted Amazon as my husband or self don't and have not purchased item/items from Amazon, after contacting Amazon they were able to provide useful information and was to credit this amount back as information led showing this purchase was indeed not authorized from myself or my husband, they were most helpful and stated the refund amount would not show until Green Dot credited this amount back to our account. I then contacted Green Dot and spoke with customer care specialist whom name was Ella and was very rude stating this credit amount could take up to 10 business days. I have a problem with this being if myself or husband have any purchases the amount immediately comes out of our account and not 10 business days from purchase. This unauthorized purchase has put he and I in a very bad place and due to having to wait 10 days for our credit we are in dire need, however customer care specialist Ella was of no concern and extremely rude. After our wait of 10 days for credit my husband and I will then close this account and open with another pre paid account through Net Spend. We have had this Green Dot account for over 10 years and very dissatisfied due to unauthorized purchase that was of no fault on our end. I would love to purchase item/items and wait 10 business days before purchase is deducted from our account. Once loyal customers and now extremely dissatisfied and to close account and grow with new pre paid company.
