Green Dot Green dot card

The end of July while I was in the hospital my green dot card was hacked they took over $1300 I've been trying to get a new card and my money back since then but I keep getting the run around that they are having technical difficulties they've told me that 3 different cards were on there way but never arrived nor did my money I called again today and got the same story it will be there by the 31st my next step is filing a complaint with the attorney general.. this is so wrong in every way they have stole my money that was my SS money and my bill and food money.. this is not a bank they are rip off artists

Desired outcome: To get my money back it's mine not yours your suppose to be FDIC so what's the problem

Green Dot Account blocked, sent verification documents and then closed. No contact from greendot via email nothing

My account has recently been blocked due to suspicion activity yet after waiting on hold for 3 hours they can not tell me what transactions were suspicious (because there was none) they guaranteed my account would be unblocked in 2 business days once I submit my id, did that been 2 days and I then tried to log into my account to get a notification saying my account was closed... There is $513 in my account that I cant get out. They are scamming people. My husband is in the exact same situation with $447 in his. This is bull crap. They need a civil lawsuit brought against them.

Desired outcome: I WANT MY MONEY AND MY ACCOUNT CLOSED AND GREENDOT SUED.

Green Dot Liars, Closed account, Won’t return Money

For weeks, I’ve been trying to get thru and they have you on hold for HOURS! Then answer and put you back on hold just for the call to be disconnected. They gave me wrong information to schedule a payment on their [censored] [censored], bill pay that never went thru. I called to notify them that the payment wasn’t received and the then closed my account and requesting me to send documents to mail me what was left on account. However, they then give you the runaround with your documents

Green Dot Green dot banking

I have had an account with green dot for several years now with no issues. Today my available balance was over $1400. I got an email stating that an autopay I had set up was declined. I checked my account and found that I have zero dollars in it. There are no fraudulent charges or transactions shown. My card hasn't even been used in days. The money just disappeared. I have been trying for over a day to speak with customer service and cannot get in touch with an actual person. I'm either on hold for 2 hours or the chat option on the app does not work. I am a single mother with 2 kids and no way to access my money or find out what happened.. please tell me where I can go to resolve this

Green Dot Bank

I have a Green Dot account debit card and I received a cash app cash out immediately it has not gotten into my bank GreenDot has not answered their phone Green Dot does not answer their chat Green Dot does not take any of their messages I have not heard anything from them August 7th I haven't heard anything from them at all no calls are ever answered you're only put on hold with some music and then the phone will actually cut off and nobody ever answers the phone they don't answer the chat so how am I supposed to get this issue resolved I have a transaction ID number from cash app stating it went through to the bank it has never been in my account and I need that money desperately so what can I do to get this issue resolved

Green Dot Green dot reload card

On August 18,2023 I purchased a greendot card from dollar general. After trying to activate the card, it said it was already registered and to login to my account. I immediately took the card back to the store and they told me to call the number on the back of card. After calling the card, they told me there was a pin created and I shared it with someone, which is fase information. Then they told me to email them a copy of receipt and picture ofcthe card back and front. As of today , August 21, 2003, I have not receive a refund and been told that my account is closed.

Green Dot Greendot checking

I received a text from greendot indicating a suspicious charge for $1. I didn't recognize it so I texted no and tried to call them. They blocked my account so I have been unable to get gas to get home. I have been sitting in a gas station for more than 10 hours trying to contact greendot but after at least a 30 minute wait time every single call they instantly transfer me and leave me on hold for hours. I still have not gotten through to anyone willing or able to help. I have plenty of money in the account but it does not help if I can't get through to anyone to unblock my card.

Desired outcome: I just want to use my card so I can go home.

Green Dot Walmart/Green Dot money Card

I have not had access to my account with you guys for 3 weeks . All of my paychecks are direct deposit to my wal-mart money card that’s ran by Green Dot. My electricity is about to be turned off. And my car payment is 2 weeks late because of this problem. I’m waiting on a replacement card because mine got damaged. I requested it twice to no avail . I even paid a $15.00 rush fee and never got it. No one is answering the phone when I call you using the green dot card number or the wal-mart money card number ? Please help. The card that I am referring to ends in 4026, The sec code is 463, and my last four numbers of my social security number is 9239. My Phone number is [protected]. Please Help ! Let me know when will I receive my new replacecement card.

Green Dot Don't want the card

I thought I was just putting a prepaid only credit card in the shopping cart. well it's debit/visa and everyone says it's the same. however i only wanted a credit card. greendot went ahead and started a checking account and i don't want one plus I read people's reviews and greendot sounds like a bad business. it wasn't activated and it's destroyed. don't do people that way.

Desired outcome: Please make sure no account is active and I'd like a apology. I don't recommend that anyone does business with greendot.

Green Dot Closed account.

I opened and account with Greendot June 2023. I never used the account but had my IRS refund check to be deposited there. On July 26, 2023 a loan company approached me about a loan with a very good interest rate. I applied to Lending Nation but then changed my mind. They threatened me, then used my info to hack all my accounts including Green Dot. The automated system at customer service number will not recognize my card number or SSN

I have received nothing from them as to why they even closed the account. My IRS check was sent August 16, 2023. Account number was [protected]

Desired outcome: I want my account reinstated so I can receive my refund. Someone needs to contact me. [protected]

Green Dot Green dot card money taken off of the card $551

Back in 2021 I've had 551 taken off the card I called I sent a letter to dispute it I've never gotten the money back I've called I've called and everything else I've written a letter to Ohio now they still will not give me my money back they say the money was given back and put back on the card which the card has had a block on it the account was closed and now they're saying there's other charges put on the card in which you cannot put charges on the card on an account that's closed and the card was blocked the complaint number is [protected] I want my 551 back this is gone on long enough for now in 2023 and it's been long enough that was my social security money and I want my money back I'm sick and tired of calling being put on hold talking to people that speak broken English that I can barely understand and I want my money back I'm telling you you have no right to keep it and it's your fault if you put the money on a card that is blocked somebody has either done something in your corporation but it wasn't on my end and I want my damn money back and I'm not playing with you anymore I don't want any more your damn Green Dot cards they're worthless to me I'm sick and tired of having to go through all the motions of writing more complaint letters and everything else I just want my money back my name is Dina Lawrence d e a n n a l a u r e n c e the card number is [protected]-[protected] I want my money back my phone number is [protected] and please have somebody call that speaks English if I don't get my money back I will join a class action lawsuit against you because it's been long enough and I've waited long enough and I get different stories from different people on your end and all you have to do is just put the check in the mail and send it to me and that's it it's the end of that but you don't have the right to keep my social security money

Green Dot Green Dot Unlimited Debit Card

There is some type of restriction on my account where I can’t access available funds.

I have reached out to customer service and online chat. The online chat team said that no restrictions are showing on my account and customer service transferred me to another team.

After waiting on hold for over FOUR HOURS, someone picked up and then disconnected the call.

Desired outcome: I want access to my money in order to make online transactions and withdraw money from the ATM as needed.

Green Dot My money was stolen

On Feb 14,2023 i found out that over 16,000 was taken off my 4 green dot cards. I sold my house. I reported it that. Was told it would take about 45 days to investigate. It is now six months from the time i reported it. On Aug 4th i received an email requesting some documents and telling me i had two days to turn it in or my case was going to be closed. And that they would contact me two days after they received them. On Aug 14th i sent an email staying i sent all the documents in and have not heard anything back. On Aug 15th i got an email stateing my request cant be completed due to one of the following reasons. 1 Documents not legible 2. No Documents received 3. Missing documents 4. Invailed documemts. For further assistence call the number on the back on the card. On Aug 15 i email back and told them i cant get ahold of anyone at that number. I am on the phone as i write this and no one has answeref the phone yet it went striaght to music. And i have been on the phone now for 47 mins and 45 seconds!. I have tryied to look up other numbers for green dot and they are changed or disconnected. I am homeless since this all happened back in Feb. And i told them that then and i am still telling them that. But now my van is broke down and got towed! I am really thinking about calling a lawyer to sue green dot over this. I need help please! Green Dot Green dot/ go2

Greendot Go2 have locked my account for suspicious activity which was no suspicious activity. I did all the transactions I got $54,000 IRS check I spent $30,000 there’s 16,000 left and they will not release my money my funds in any way shape or form. They tell me I need to contact the IRS or I need to contact the originator of the funds and they need to ask for a recall, which doesn’t even happen. I’ve spent the last 33 days every single day all day long trying to figure out how I can get my money from these people never use greendot Bank ever it’s horrible the stress I’ve gone through is horrendous I call every day they won’t unlock my account and they won’t give me my money. This has been 33 days and 38 days.

Desired outcome: I want them to settle with me, giving me money for my stress and sleepless nights waste of time, they deserve be shut down

Green Dot Walmart money card green

May 19 2023 I contacted green dot to get a new card and check my balance because I've been in jail for traffic tickets since sept 2022 and released may 18 2023. call rep informed me I had no money in account and its been used. when I was asked to verify my account, my address and phone number was changed as well as pin code. So I was transferred to dispute department and the account was closed reasoning was account takeover. After coming to terms with that. the dispute department start my dispute totaling around 19,000. I was told to send supporting documents within ten days postal mail to be qualify for temporary credit. May 20 2023 I overnighted my id, certificate of release from jail showing proof I was incarcerated during the time my card was used. I also sent handwritten statement expressing I did not authorize anyone to use my card. May 29,2023 exactly 10 days after I filed a dispute green dot lied said they didnt receive my supporting documents and closed my claim was denied. june 16,2023 I contacted greendot resolution department to discuss the wrongful investigation in my claim. July 13 2023 I spoke to a rude woman named connie she said that my claim could not be reopen because I did not provide supporting documents she hung up in my face. 08/15/2023 I contacted greendot again and I was told that that it will be reopened please allow ten days for a resolution. and then I called back to comfirm the details on my claim

Desired outcome: use my supporting documents that greendot failed to view ,my outcome is to have my money back in my account . i am a victim do to the long wait this situation caused an extreme hardship on my life causing to be homeless

Green Dot Card declined

I have been having problems accessing my card I can not make purchases take money out or pay my bills I have noticed this yesterday, I have enough money in there I have been on the phone with customer service on hold for an hour im not very happy I need my money or else I will go to a different businessplease help thank you I would appreciate it if this matter can be solved as soon as possible

Green Dot Debit card

Our old account was hacked, the wife called green dot and disputed transactions. We received new cards with new account number, my pension was deposited and card worked, the next day green dot made a provisional deposit of funds hacked, then my ssi was deposited. We could not use the card for anything, my wife made several calls I mean several, and all we can get ahold off is call canter people that can not be understood. Finally, Monday morning got a supervisor, said give it an hour and all would be ok, well it’s not, can only use card online, no at the counter or atm. By doing this you are restricting me to the use of MY money, not the banks!

Desired outcome: Expect the card to be unrestricted, access to my money, and be reimbursed for our time and aggravation.

This is definitely the same identical issue that im having, almost 100% identical. Today is August 11, 2023. I have been chasing these folks for two weeks now for my hard earned money. My pension check arrives to GreenDot card on the first of month. I had a dispute of about $30 in unauthorized charges. They did investigation, put the 30 bucks back on my card. I got new card in the mail while in the process, my pension check was also deposited to my new card. I went online to verify the amount and it was correct. However, i cant access my money anywhere they told me to go to certain ATM's, WalMart, Jewels and a host of other lies. Im almost 70 years old and have very little income and no bank account. This has been the only way i have paid my rent in the past.There's no way, no access to get my money back. I have tried everything and now the message that comes on is saying they are having an overwhelming amount of calls, for quicker service, visit their website. Go to website and all the information is blocked where username & password will not process at all. I want my money and and want to be paid late charges, humiliation aggravation, loss of sleep, my time and a host of other illnesses and dissappointment and problems this has caused me in my personal life. I cannot afford to hacked or played with, therefore, I am going to start with the police dept, attorney generals office and work my way to this scamming [censored] company to be exposed on the news. Believe it or not, in all the major stores, they still selling them cards. Im not gonna rest or give up. I want my MF money back and am not gonna stop til i get it - PERIOD ! ! !

Green Dot Green dot money card

On Friday August 4 2023 I had 5 charges that appeared on my account, 2 where from Zulily and 3 at the microsoft store. I was able to get in touch with Zulily they stopped the purchase but a week later still the money is not back on my card, Microsoft is a complte [censored]in joke cant talk to anyone.I called green dot and talked to a person who said not to worry all funds have been stopped. monday 8/7/23 all the scam transaction are still listed as pending. I called Geen dot back Tuesday 8/8/23 after waiting on hold for one and half hours I was transferred to the dispute department when I was told that all transactions are going thru and I need to write a later to dispute department, so basically they stole 380.00 from my disability check. If anyone reading this is thinking about any Green Dot products DO NOT DO IT they are liars and thieves. it may take years to get my funds back but Iam and emailing all info and screen shots to my state attorney and banking commission may all the folks who had our accounts stolen from need to file a class action and shut these crooks down...
