The service is crap at Gym company Randburg. The stuff is not helpful at all. When I had my body assessment, the trainer (Gift) only showed me how to use one machine and that was it. I wanted to work on my waist but no one has explained how i could reach my goal. They are happy to make money out of us. I wouldn't recommend the Gym company to anyone. The only reason I am still with them is because the cooling off period had expired, and I would be forced to pay early termination fees.

I have contacted gym company in bara city & they tried to assistance but could not.
I tried calling maponya mall branch but after I have mentioned why I phoned they hung up on me, when I tried to to phone again no one was answering.
I have tried a numerous times but but no helped.

First I want to know if the gym company - even checks and fixes these complaints.
I have been listed on itc from the gym company - but how can they do this if you were never a member. No banking details provided, no employees calling to tell you - that you are a member - no membership card provided? Just listed on itc - that is all gym company is good for. I need them to rectify this asap. No letters of demand sent, no calls from collections, nothing. So how would a person know if they owe monies, when you were not a member - but owe money? Oh - only when you apply for credit, and get told you listed... That is how. Gym company employees are a bunch of thieves and dishonest people. This business will fail! As i'm not the only one complaining about this. Even if no one reads this. The gym company people are bad luck, and this business will not last because of how they treat - honest law abiding citizens

I have been trying to cancel my membership 3 months ago, I was told to pay R700 and my contract will be cancelled. I paid on the 3rd of march 2018, cash at till and it was confirmed that my contract is cancelled at gym company doornfontein., to my surprise they debited end of march, I went back to dispute, I spoke to manager lwazi miya and muzi, who advised me to complete a cancellation form, which I did and now they dont want to confirm my cancellation.
The form was also sent to accounts2.[protected]@gymcompany.co.za and to admin.[protected]@gymcompany.co.za thobekile, no one is willing to help me.
I want confirmation that my membership is cancelled as they promised.

I was once confronted by a sales consultant in Flora center from the gym company in order to sign up for gym.
I was keen with the idea at that moment, however I did not have all my details with me .he then convinced me to just give him my account details he will sort the rest for me.
I was advised to come back the following day and he will provide me with a yellow page to gain access to the gym aswell as a gym contract. Upon returning the next day I was advised I need to have a yellow page I told management what happened who just said I just should come back .
I eventually did not proceed with the matter as nobody bothered to follow up with me even though I left my number at the gym for me to be contacted.following month my bank account gets debited with no membership agreement or anything I haven't even given these people my I'd number
.I started getting calls from precious in the accounts department who Starts to tell me that I'm owing large amounts that is owed to them
I explained the issue to her and she advised she will follow up for me and aswell did not get back to me .I find out two years later that I have badly listed on ITC with no written statement or anything for me to even query or dispute this unlawful process
Extremely upset with this terrible situation especially since I was ever given a contract or access to this gym company
Someone urgently need to call me by tomorrow otherwise legal action will be taken against u !

As I was listed - their is a default on my name because of Gym fees? - When no one even contacted me regarding Bank Details - I just assumed no one completed the forms - As no one from GYM COMPANY called me regarding my bank details - and I did not get a Gym Company Card or anything...I never even went to the gym - because nothing was confirmed. Greetings my name is lerato I would like for you to assist me with a problem. I was approached by one of the gym company promoters at the mall they told me they have a free trial for me free of charge for a week, I filled out my details on their form, I didnt even attend the free trial now they called and said I owe R1000 and it will increase if I don't pay, I don't understand how I owe when I didn't even go the gym I don't even have a member ship card... So I don't know what to do I don't work and I'm afraid I might be blacklisted please I need some assistance on how I can deal with this predicament... Thank you

The guy approached me at Dobsonville(shoprite) and sold me these two gym contract which he told us it's R199 a month I then issued R400 cause I thought I can just pay already on the spot but he told me I will only pay in January which was a relieve for me, he filled the forms for me and gave me to sign as I was in a hurry cause I had just left my nephew with the doctor now this came to my attention when my girlfriend was told about R299 which didn't know anything about.
I know he was pushing sales maybe there is a commission to it but being mislead to take a contact it's totally unacceptable and against the consumer protection act, I mean why would I take a contract for R299 if there is a package for R199 I mean we gym at the same place not as if I have my own personal trainer or gym room.
I therefore request that you look into this agreement and fix the rates or cancel both our contracts please.

Hi I am Njabulo and I am complaining about the cancelation fee for the gym. I was not told of a cancelation fee and when I enquired about it I was told that I can cancel at any time and not have to pay a fee. Now I am ask to pay for a cancelation fee that was not even stated on my contract and nor was this mensioned prior to me signing the contract. I will not pay for it because I will not be using the gym anymore

The gym company in east rand is terrible, service sucks when you need information and helo regarding accounts you get pushed from one person to the next, the manager has such a terrible attitude as if it's my fault that she hates her job, I'm cancelling my contract worst gym ever!keep up the bad service guys you doing a great job at it in every possible way!

The gym company in Flora Centre have the worst service I've seen in a gym, they close about two hours earlier than other gym's. 90% of the time the steam room is not working or 50 degrees Celsius which is 30 degrees Celsius lower than it should be. We spoke to the manager and he said he'll follow up but nothing has changed. The cleaners mop under your feet during working (about three hours before they close) hours, ask you to move and even whine that they come back home late. The staff don't treat people as members should be treated, if you ask for something they just ignore you. When we tell them we will complain to the head office and hello peter they smile at us and don't react at all, no apologies. They never ask if we need anything. We already set a review to Hello Peter, if we don't get any answers we will take it further to Facebook, twitter, Instagram etc.

i join gym company in 2014 when the new branch was opening in bara, they said the first two months are free and i will only start paying on the third month. i only went to gym for 5 days (which were for free) then i asked to cancel since my contract at work was ending, they asked for a proof that my contract is ending, i brought it to them. then they said i must pay a cancellation fee of 1800, to which i replied, i cant cos im no longer working and i only came for 5 days which are supposed to be free since u said the first two months are for free. they kept debiting my money every month till i even changed my account. after some time i started getting texts that if i dont pay them they will take legal action against me. now i cant open an account or buy anything on contract because they have blacklisted me. please assist.

I took a contract in Randburg square more that three years ago and moved to Jhb ( Calton gym last year. On the 27 March my tag was not working and was advised to speak to an Admin to assist.
I was advised to contact the branch where I took a contract which I did and the lady that I spoke to told me that I needed to come, which on the 07 April I went to Randburg square were I was advised by a lady called Mpumi that there was no one to assist as the Admins do not work on Saturdays.
She called Thobile Kheswa while I was waiting, and told me that I needed to go to where I gym and contact them while I am there then they will assist. Which I did and we tried to contact Randburg branch and they did not answer their phone.
I contacted Randburg branch and spoke to Thobile who now denies everything that i was told by Mpumi and now she tells me that i must come back to Randburg.
It is very frustrating that your system are not in sync and that i have to spend my money running around to get assistance which i feel its unfair that you need to fix your systems so that a person can go to any gym to fix such problems.
Now i am expected to go back to Randburg during the week which I am very far since i am no longer working in Randburg to fix the tag. Please advise your staff not to mislead people and they should have told me that they do not work on Saturdays.

Last year in October I noticed that I was being double billed, upon investigation I discovered that fraud was being done on my account. I was in fact paying for my account and another person who opened his account in Dooronfontein, I went to my branch in Randburg were I was told I needed to cancel that account with the branch in Dooronfontein and reverse those charges. I did that and thought the matter was settled, today I get a call from Pamela (Randburg branch) who was rude and she tells me how that I'm in arrears for 3 months (September - November). How would I be in arrears when I was being double billed and only reversed the fraudulent charges? How? I am furious, the admin lady tells me that they have changed systems. How the hell is that my problem?

I contacted the gym to ask for cancellation but the consultant was rude and could not help. My account is being deducted for a service I hardly use. I paid my cancellation fee with The GYM COMPANY on the 7March 2018. I received confirmation from them that my credit default and outstanding balance with them and Transunion will be cleared within 7 working days.
It is now the 20 March, and I am still blacklisted. I found this out by the company I have just received an offer to start working for in April.
Please note that the position they offered me has now been revoked due to my credit default, which I was under the impression has been cleared with gym company and Transunion.
I ask for your speedy assistance as I have already resigned from my current job and can not loose the opportunity to work at a new company in April

I have membership with gym company for a year which expired this January 2018 I went to maponyamall gym company to cancel my contract and make arrangements to pay my arrears which I was told I could pay cash or deposit.But now the problem I'm having as told by the lady that works from accounts is that they can't cancel the contract even though it's experied nor can they stop the debit orders so basically i will pay for my arrears and still for a membership that I'm not using and has come to date.how is that even possible? Firstly I was made to sign a membership which I never made use of but according to the gym a signed a contract and gave away my banking details...I changed banking details at sone point and only after more than two years I receive a letter from gym company to say I owe them R7000 I go there to inquire about it and I'm told that's what my membership was worth.I ask why I was never sent any correspondence for so long regarding this account and I'm told they had the wrong address yet I once received a letter. I'm told I can cancel the contract for a fee of R2500 or rejoin for R500 with a waiting Period of 3months so because I didn't have the money for the cancellation I opt in to rejoin but a contract of 1year for R299. My contract was due to end January 2018 but because I had arrears I thought I would make Payment arrangements for the outstanding months and cancel the contract because regardless of the contract expering they will still debit.Now I'm being told by gym company that they can't cancel the contract because of the arrears I will have to pay the arrears but they will still debit monthly for the membership?How is this even Possible so basically I'm being forced to stay on this contract.This gym has put me into so much financial strain for the Past few years and I just can't seem to get out of this contract.Please help
Gym company Florida is a nightmare .On friday the 13th april 2018, there was no power .On monday the 16th april the gym only opened at 6:00 .Hardly 10 minutes after they opened the power went off .No communication at all from the management as well as an apology from opening the gym late .What a disaster .Bad customer service .

Around February 2017 I was approached by a gym company assistant, She told me that joining fee was R199 and my monthly fees would be R189 but said the Gym Company Bloed Str would open in March. The gym didn't not open in March but in April the money was deducted R199 but I reversed it because the gym was not opened till only June without any communication or what so ever. I was told that I can cancel my account anytime I am not happy. I was really not happy with the fact that the company lied about opening and it only opened in June. I called to cancel cause I was getting annoying messages that if I don't pay I'll face the criminal what what. Then I was told to pay money for 36months. I am not wrong I was told lies about the company. You opened late without communicating. I have never stepped inside the gym and I want the contract cancelled, I am a student I don't have parents who can pay the gym if the cancellation doesn't go through. I am taking the gym to court period. You have wronged me, Actually this is robbery.

Kindly note that I took out a gym contract for my son in December 2017 - Contract No: 08047 AB
The first monthly installment was due end January 2018 for the amount of R249 as my son is still in School and had to provide documentation.
At the end of January 2018 an amount of R299 was deduced from account. I personally went to the Gym and spoke to the administrators in the back office whom promised me that an amount of R200 would be deducted from the next payment in order to be correct in going forward.
The debit order once again went off for the same amount of R299. Thus is the gym now currently owing me R100.
I have contacted the Gym yesterday 1st March 2018 @ 10h48 and was put through to Cindy who after 3 min and 52 seconds told me that the amount is correct and must be R299. Please go and check the contract!
She than put the phone down in my ear ! This is totally unacceptable.
I then contactd the following cell number [protected] @10h49 and once again explained the whole story to the Sales consultant. I was then told that she will get Lucky the Manager to phone me immediatly. I have since tried several times to phone the land line and the cell number by no one was answering the phones.
At last 11h27 I got through and asked for Lucky. I have then asked him to phone me back as I'm not going to waste my money. He then contacted me @ 11h34.
After explaining again, he then told me that he did get the message and the email I have submitted online to them. I was also informed that he will investigate and that I should give him atleast 10 min to phone me back.
This is now the following day 2nd March 2018 and still no phone call back from Lucky.
So once again I have contacted his cell number [protected] @ 08h09 and was told that this is now another Lucky speaking and that I should phone back 09h00. I refused and requested the telephone number of the owner of the gym company. I was then told that he will not give it me.
If I do not get a response by 12h00 today, it will leave me no other option to go and reverse the 2 debit orders. I will also accept that the contact is cancelled. Should there also be any further issues, I will have no other choice than to log it with Hello Peter.
The attitude towards the members / contract owners of the gym is shocking to say the least.
