Good day
I have a contract with gym company. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to move from my previous residential area. I am now I'm olivenhoutbosch. I'm still paying my gym contract but receive no services as there is no other gym company near. Is it possible to transfer my membership to any other gym? Because with transference the consultants said i must find a replacement myself. Or is it possible for the membership to be dissolved since I no longer receive services?

My first mail went out to the company on 2018/07/31 due to the fact that the showers had NO hot water for two weeks and then NO WATER at all in week nr three.
I am depended on the showers in order to use the facility in time for work. I have NO other alternative time to go to gym.
The GYM company being in default of our contract have been contacted to try and cancel my membership with NO success.
After this date they still deducted the membership fee of R 199.00 for August and again now for September.

Hi my Name is Precious Khanyi born 1979/03/01 I enrolled my son Sihle Khanyi born in 2004/11/13 ay Gym company and I payed everything but to my surprise I did even received the membership card nothing after two months enquiring then I decided to cancel the membership contract with the Gym but to my surprise I still receive messages that I will be blacklisted reason being I don't know because Gym company still owes my son his membership card access which we were promised that an sms will be sent for collection so with the poor service like that I don't know am I suppose to be paying for this poor service.

As much as we want to support SA owned companies it's sad that the service is always horrible and once the money is in they just stop caring and show true colours...

Good day today I was badly attended by one of your branches in town pta I have never been so be littled, in future ill never rate it as a good company to gym. Your stuff is very very rude and they are not welcoming at all i was insulted by them I dont see myself nor my family ever touching this bad company in the near future. I hope you do take this serious because iam writing a letter to my attorneys.
deducting fees on cancelled contracts
My son had a contract at the Boksburg Gym and due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up cancelling the contract. We paid the penalty amount and the account/ membership was closed. This was done in early 2017. Now, a year later they are illegally deducting the gym fees from my account. When this happened In July 2018 we contacted the gym and a lady by the name of Charlotte apologized profusely and assured me this will not happen again. Low and behold it happened AGAIN today they deducted from my bank account again! When my husband contacted the gym and finally got hold of Charlotte and threatened her with lawyers letters, because this is fraud, her response was " Its ok, you can come" What the hell! How is that any kind of customer service? This gym is bad news and i would strongly advised anyone from signing up to this gym.
I request that my banking details and full profile be deleted off their system immediately and i need proof that it has been done, because I was promised before and nothing was done, and i request an immediate refund. You can contact me via my email account [protected]@gmail.com

Greetings : I once opened an account with the gym company 2 years back and during that year I had cancelled it and I even paid the cancellation fee that I was told to pay now two years after I'm still receiving messages saying I should pay my account is over-due and I know about this course I no longer a member of the gym for two years now. I called last year to downgrade the membership, they advised they'd get back to me, after two months still nothing, the called to cancel! I am a victim of been blacklisted by gym company yet I don't even own a membership card. There was this guy called Lucky whom I gave my details to, he was very convincing and by that time I was unemployed so he said to that I shouldn't worry cause they'll freeze the account for 3 months. I went back the second day to him for cancelation, he then took the yellow draw two lines in it then he said noh it is canceled.
I was surprised when I got debit orders from my account after I got my first job. I went to the bank to reverse the debit orders so it was always being reversed. After some time, a lady called me to tell that I am gonna be blacklisted if I don't pay cancelation fee and then I asked her a question that how come should I pay a cancelation fee yet the guy took the yellow form and cancelled it and over that he never told me about these fees, the worse part of it I didn't gym and I don't have a membership card ? "she ate potatoes and hang up"
Come the time when I wanted to open an account I was told that I am blacklisted and unable to open any account until I am being removed from blacklist.
This is totally unfair! Now I have to pay the whole R900, on something I havent done! Ai noh!

It is with atmost anger and dipleasent feelings tjhat I submit this complaint. I have apperantly been a member for this company, with montghly deductions that I have tried to reverse because I was paying for something that I do not use, nor did I ever get a memebership card or something tangible that I could prove that I am a member of Gym Company with. it really is upsetting that I have been paying for something I do not use. i have tried to make means with my bank to stop the payment but that also was a problem bnecause Gym Company claims that I am member .

I registered with Gym company some time in February. I was told the first month is free and i will start paying R299.00 after 30 Days. I only attended one day and i had to relocate to Mpumalanga. I notified them that i wont be able to attend and where i am there is no Gym Company and asked for them to cancel the membership for me.
They never cancelled. I kept getting calls and i explained to them that i am in Ackonhoek, Bushbuck Ridge and i wont be able to go back to Eastrand Mall just for cancellation but still no action was taken.
Yesterday, 24/07/2018 i got a call from another lady telling to settle my account again. I told her im getting tired of people who doesn't understand then she sent me a whatsaap message with banking details and that i must pay R1873 . 00 cancellation fee. I sent a message on the website explaining my situation a month ago but no one responded.
I never attended and i notified them before my first free month was over but now i must pay R1873. Thats day light robbery.
I am complaining about this gym, because they want me to pay money for equipment that I have never used.
I signed the contract with the GYM on November 2017. the person that was assisting me told me that they will start to deduct money when I go to the GYM and that is when the contract will be activated. after some few hours I called the person to cancel the contract because I saw that I wont manage to travel using double transport to the GYM. after two month I saw the sms that R199 is deducted from my account. then I called the person because he agreed that he is going to cancel my contract. Since January they have been deducting money non stop. on June they sent a message that says my account is overdue when I call the number that I received on that message for queries they told be to pay all the amount from January to June, so am concern because I have never been in their GYM.

I have provided the gym company with my entire banking history they owe me money they created 3 accounts in my name of which they still owe me r199 and r299 and it has been 3 months and every time I send and email of complaint and each time they send me a report to me could be falsified they say it takes 30 days well it has been 90! 3 months of waiting they are now stealing from me and I am done being patient phoning all the companies ican to receive answers and I have only been met with attitude and rude encounters the staff at most gyms do not care for their jobs yet alone clients especially at amanizmtoti I receive answers like the manager is not here I dont know when they will be here... What kind of answer is that when people are stealing my money. I have always paid my bills on time or early to the gym company and the only issue I have given them is the case of them failing to follow up on the money they owe me

When signing up, I was told that you are able to cancel, or sell your contract to another person at any time.
When I moved, I enquired about the process and how it works. I was then told that there is actually a cancellation fee between R600.00-R800.00 applicable when either cancelling or transferring your membership.
It is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE how they are lying to their clients, because when you want to cancel, you don't have a choice but to pay the money !

Hi I am so unhappy with the level of service I have received from your company. My membership expired in September and I called the gym to let them know that I do not wish to continue with my member and I was in durban with work and I was told that I need to personally go to the gym to stop my membership. How is it possible that I can sign up from anywhere even the mall but when my contract is over and I don't wish to continue with it I need to personally go to the gym and give a 30days notice? I was told that I need to pay R350 because its outstanding from my account I paid it on the spot and I was told that everything is sorted. My account was debited again today and when I call to find out what's happening I am told that the expiry date of my contract is pushed up because I reversed a debit order. Please sort this out
thats madness, its like we been forced to gym at their gym, and nothing seems professional there, i suggest get attorneys for this one.

I attempted to settle & close my membership at "Gym Company" because I had relocated to Limpopo.
Because I knew the sales guy there named Max (who also signed me up for gym membership), I sent him a whatsapp telling him that I would like to settle & cancel my membership & asked him what I could do.
He replied with banking details, saying I could just send R1890 by EFT to Capitec, Acc#[protected].
I phoned The Gym Company to ask what bank they use as I found it strange that he gave me a Capitec account.
The lady said they use FNB.
I then drove all the way to Johannesburg on 02.07.2018 to Gym Company to find out what was going on.
A very helpful lovely Indian lady there called Marlene assisted me to settle & close membership.
She informed me that "Max" did not even work at Gym Company anymore for mare than A month also that he had absconded & gone to their competitors "Planet Fitness"!
The settlement amount that Max had given me was incorrect as well.
I really think someone should warn Planet fitness about their new employee's intentions as I nearly fell for this I'm sure I'm not the first & probably won't be the last victim.

I ma very frustrated and angry with gym company maponya, the ladies who work there they are rude and dont have good customer service. I called them some time last week told them that I want to cancel my membership as I realized that I was not gonna be able to gym with them anymore due to change of location, the lady over the phone told me that I must come saturday as I am working on weekends, this coming statuary. However because I was on leave on wednesday I went to them to cancel and they told me that I cannot cancel because I have passed days but now my question is why didn't they tell tell me over the phone that I must at least email them my agreement form or send someone instead wait for me to come saturday which was still gonna be more than five, those ladies from maponya gym company they were rude to me and told me that I was lying and I must pay the cancellation fee of 1000 or get my company's phone record as proof that I call them. How to I go on about in a big company to ask for the phone records.

My name is grace nqadini. Cell [protected] about 2months ago I changed banks from nedbank to fnb. Fnb switched all by debit orders for me, they couldn't assist me with gym complain because I had to go straight to them, in order for me to fill the forms they needed. I did that without a problem. To my surprise today I recieved a msg, telling me that, im beyong with payments. Why is someone didn't do what they wre suppose to do?

The Gym company debited my account two days early at the end of May.
The funds bounced because i had not received my salary yet.
My bank hit me with fee of R120.00 for the bounced debit order.
i called the gym company they refused to help me.
When i went into my branch the lady showed me that the system said my account was paid up to date and that i did not have to pay anything.
i told her that my account was not paid, i would like the gym company to refund my R120.00 and debit my account again. She refused and told me my account was up to date. I asked her to let me know if i must come back and pay my account because i am in the process of buying a house and i can not have a negative credit score. she told me i have nothing to worry about, my account was paid up to date. Now i receive a message saying my credit score will be negatively effected due to non payment on my gym account.
I want my refund and i want them o fix there account problem.

I have learned that your company has listed me on ITC even though i have never joined your gym nor have i ever inquired. I will be taking legal steps should your company not resolve this IMMEDIATELY. I am very angry as this has affected my credit history. The credit bureau claims i owe the gym company R7900. I dont know anything about this Im trying to apply for credit and this has made a bad mark on my record. I want this fixed immediately

The gentleman approached me with a great smile. They told me about their gym. So I was interested in it.
So now the issue is that I was not given a tag or form to read the fine print. I didnt even go to the gym the way I am so busy. My biggest issue is that they Listed me to the Bad payers.

i also experienced the same problem, to me they said they have a GYM Company in Roodeport i went there only to find that they lied, now they keep on deducting money from my account. im so angry about you guys, when you hiring make sure you hired people who knows that lying to your customers will give you a bad publicity, hire people who knows about your goals and your dreams.
