H20 Wireless don't choose them - port in process has taken 3 weeks and counting, customer service absent

I bought service from H2O before 3 weeks and I am still waiting to get the porting process complete. My past service provider has cleared everything but H2O has no idea what they are doing. Also, they are not doing anything on their own...I have called them half a dozen times and each time my process moves further...however, they have not finished the port-in process yet, and I am still not receiving incoming calls. I am only able to do outgoing calls, and able to use data (which is "okay").

Customer Service, where are you?

H20 Wireless Bait-and-switch

On the H20 web site I purchased a plan with unlimited voice/text and 8GB data. Several days later the SIM arrived. When I tried to activate the ActFast code was “invalid, ” so I used the SIM card number. After activation I checked my account it showed just 4GB data. So I began 2 hours of chatting and voice talk with customer service, including 8 reps. I was told over and over that I had signed up for a 4GB plan. However, there was no 4GB plan available on the H20 web site (see included screen shot), and I definitely purchased the 8GB data plan. Person after person refused to switch me to the plan I had purchased. I was told “the 4GB plan is what you bought and you can't change.” Not only is that a miserable way to treat a new customer, it smacks of bait-and-switch. After another very long wait, I finally reached someone who cancelled the account. I contact my credit card company to initiate a dispute.

Deceptive sales and horrible customer service are the hallmarks of this company. H20 Wireless is owned by KDDI America.

H20 Wireless Problem activating service and lacking customer service after payment received

I signed up with H2O Wireless sometime in March 2016 via their website. My credit card was charged for the phone and the $50 plan. Upon attempting to activate the phone, inserting the SIM card as instructed, the phone could not recognize the SIM card.

I attempted several times to contact H2O Wireless Customer Service via email, as I no longer had any type of phone service. Instead of their usual prompt reply by a representative, to issues or questions, H2O began responding with a "no reply" email address which would contain no response from the company addressing my issue; I was simply sent my original email. I then attempted to use the Chat feature; H2O Wireless chat personnel never responded, even when I set up another chat session at the same time. I had to buy a TracFone in order to have my problem addressed and also had to refill minutes.

Finally, after the first week of April, my H2O Wireless phone service was activated, but the SIM card was still not recognized. H2O Wireless reset the account; it still did not activate the SIM card. During another phone session, H2O customer service had me try the SIM card in another phone; of course it did not work. I was then told to PURCHASE another card! I inquired as to why I should purchase another card when the card I received directly from H2O Wireless did not work and that the company should send me a replacement SIM card.

About a week later I contact customer service (more TracFone minutes to buy) who eventually told me, after more testing, the SIM card may be defective and I could exchange it for another. I eventually mailed the SIM card back to H2O Wireless, but wound up purchasing a SIM card from Best Buy as I was tired of waiting for H2O Wireless. New SIM card was not recognized (was a different error that I do not recall) either, so I had to contact H2o Wireless Customer Service. They attempted a reset, told me to test the SIM in another phone; still no phone service. They finally told me to take it to a store to have it checked as there is probably a problem with the phone. I asked if they would just send me another phone. No, I must go to a store to have it tested. What store? As H2O Wireless has no retail stores from what I understand; they use other merchants to sell their phones.

I went to a Target store to ask about checking my phone. They responded that if I did not purchase the phone from them, they could not check it out; that perhaps an AT&T store could, since it appears to be an AT&T phone. They eventually told me they could not test it as they did not sell it from their company. H2O Wireless is not an AT&T company, but uses AT&T's network, the told me. AT&T customer service then tries to steer me to two other stores in some other city, that sell H2O Wireless plans: Family Dollar being one; the other I don't recall and never heard of. Since I did not buy my phone from either of those companies, there was no point to that exercise.

At any rate, I attempted to use H2O Wireless' Chat service. This time someone responded and I FINALLY got phone service near the END of April 2016 after the Tech tried a couple of things. This is not the end of my problems with H2O Wireless. The talk and text part of the phone service work; however, I do not have data service, even after I enable the data setting on the phone and restarting it. I was able to call H2O Wireless Customer Service from my phone this time. The Tech said he would reset and for me to turn of the phone. If I still had no access to data, to call from another phone; I refuse to buy more minutes for the TracFone, which was like the cost of another plan! I have yet to borrow a phone (a phone is like an appendage to some and who knows how long this issue will take to resolve) to resolve this latest problem!

I purchased the H2O Wireless service based on a review by an individual who reviewed the many prepaid services available on the market; there are so many. I will NEVER recommend H2O Wireless to anyone! The most horrible mobile phone service I have had the misfortune to purchase.

H20 Wireless Prepaid Sim and service

I bought a SIM card and prepaid $100 to talk family in Australia. The plan only worked for texts not phone calls. I rang the store that sold the plan (2-3x) and then their 1-800 service line. I talked to them (3x), 2 hours on the phone, re-set account twice, and then referred up to another level by a polite but ineffective advisor, with no results. I have been 10 days in USA, effectively cut off except by text, and the company refused to refund any unused credit (my balance was to be used with phone calls not texts!). I would strongly recommend against using H2O

H20 Wireless Worst customer service ever

I found a PROFESSIONAL MVNO & Simple Mobile ($40 Unlimited per Month) for my iPhone4. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Seriously, WOW… the prepaid world is like a pool of crap. I think they must have call centers or a consumer base that is largely latinos with poor credit. Questions about customer service expectations and phone configuration and billing practices seem to confuse

A lot of them are ignorant and liars… they never respond to emails. After a month of this BS, paying $60 for their Unlimited Talk Text and Data plan (no savings from t-Mobile with my BB Torch)… switched only because I changed to an iPhone4…

FOUND Simple Mobile… $40 for same deal, so I tried to port and the first operator gave me a fake PIN.

PRIOR to calling Simple Mobile Customer Service with the port request, you need to do/get the following

1) a Simple Mobile SIM Card (eBay is best source at $1 – the regular sites charge $15-20)

2) an activation PIN for a plan (go to a local retailer, they will charge an additional $1-3 for that)

3) Find your H20 Account Number (It is your 20-digit SIM CARD Number.. (ICCID xxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxx xxxx)

4) Find your H20 PIN (Last 4 digits xxxx) of the account number

H20 Wireless Fraudulent Service

Bought this card from Towson Best Buy along with the $10 H20 Sim Card. I called the number, scratched the card and then they said sorry, your H20 account cannot be recharged. The card was never used and the 3 people i talked to also said that is correct, however there was no way for them to recharge the account created from the sim card, thus making the $60 I spent at Best Buy completely useless. The H20 Wireless Reps also gave me another number to call, I called that number twice and no one answered the phone. H20 Wireless is a subsidiary of another company but no one would let me talk directly to H20. Took the Card and the Recharge Card to Best Buy to ask for store credit, they REFUSED. I'm now contacting my credit card company to report the two charges as disputed. Went to T-mobile, paid $50 for 1 month prepaid and they didn't charge for the sim. Stay AWAY from this company.

Did you buy it with a credit card and file a dispute with your card company?

Their customrer sercivcie is terrible. Transferring a number takes days. I am thinking of bringing legal action because of the lossses sustained as a rsult of their failur to prort my number to antother carrier. Thisis an ATT fiaasco where h20 wioreless is or isnot a part of teir Go phone Program. Failure to transfer phone numbers ina reasnable amount of time leads to loss of income and actual fianancail loss. Imagine doing businesss without a phone for a few days.

This company is fraudulent. From the moment I started this service I had nothing but problems. They double charged me and then credited my account for the following month after going through hours of trying to prove I payed...then they disconnected my service the next month saying I didn't pay again. I called customer service where they don't have enough...
