I bought 2 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I was making spaghetti. I opened up the first can to find burnt pieces floating on top and all through out the can. The 2nd can was the same way. I am so pissed, I had to go to the store and buy more to finish my dinner. I have use this and other Happy Harvest products for yeas a have never had a problem. I would like to be compensated for my inconvenience please. And I don't think I'll be buying any more Happy Harvest can goods. I don't remember what the price of the 2 cans.

Those are fire roasted tomatoes (see your own photo), so theyr'e supposed to have charred bits. :)
they're -- pardon the spelling -- it's been a long day!
Hi. The can doesn’t say “roasted.” I agree with Blenda. If they are fire roasted, then yes, the black charred bits makes sense. This isn’t the case. Seniors will not use items with black bits. Aldi needs to explain so we know what is going on with this issue.
Uum... that is what FIRE ROASTED tomatos are. Duh.
I can't find the Fire Roasted Tomatoes in the Milwaukee area - checked 7 stores, so far.
...any idea why?
The cans are clearly marked "Fire Roasted" . The images on the cans show the charred bits. These are exactly as they are supposed to be. And they are delicious.
