AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! -- The pricing you hear about on the radio is misleading. Unless you're only planning on having having sex a couple times a month, the actual price is closer to double what they advertise. -- They prescribe a very low dose that probably wont work for most men, and instruct you to try it a few times before expecting it to work (read - use up that limited supply so that you increase the order next month) -- The quality of their product is suspect. I switched to a prescription from my doctor and had immediate results. I then tried the equivalent dose of theirs (5 pills) and had no results -- They practice deceptive marketing tactics. I originally declined after their pricing turned out to be different from advertised, but they convinced me to try it for one month. What they didn't say was that they were also signing me up for a revolving order at the same time. -- They don't have an option to cancel on their website, only pause from month to month (you have to email them in order to cancel) The bottom line is that it is easier, safer and a lot more reliable to just get this prescription from your PCP.

I'm giving a 1 Star due to their SCAMY tactics for max subscription fees
I'm giving a 1 Star due to their SCAMY tactics to make you pay the maximum for your subscription. They asked post-trial about my billing preference. I chose $20 monthly or bi-monthly, but then my doctor prescribed a year's supply without mentioning a $240 charge. Discovering this, I tried to cancel, but was told I needed the doctor's approval. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, blocked further charges, and struggled to navigate their website to cancel via email. They override my billing choice, and only send the meds bi-monthly. Don't let subscription services bully you into unwanted payments.

I reviewed the company's site on Saturday October 3rd and proceeded with the process of ordering
I reviewed the company's site on Saturday October 3rd and proceeded with the process of ordering. Within a couple hours of doing so I realized that this was not something that I should be doing and tried to cancel the order but there is nothing on the website to allow a customer to do that, that I could find. I immediately sent an email to the customer service team stating that I wanted to cancel the order. As of Monday October 5th, I had not received a response to my email but instead received notice that my order was being filled. I called the customer service line four times that day and each time I was on hold for twenty minutes and then disconnected every time even though the original message said that the average hold time was 10 or 11 minutes. Today, Tuesday October 6th, as of 9:45 AM I still have not received a response to my email sent on October 3rd so I have called another four times so far and, again, each time held for 20 minutes and then disconnected. I'm currently sitting on my 5th call and still holding. While doing this I also took their advice and reached out on Facebook and Instagram. Both of those medias replied within half an hour with information which I responded to and then no more communications. It's like a black hole, things go in but nothing seems to come back out. This is truly the worst customer service I've ever seen and certainly would make any customer question the validity of this company. From the other complaints I've seen her I'm sure they are going to say my order is now shipped and there's nothing they can do even though I reached out within a couple of hours to cancel the order but because of the poor management of their customer service team no one has responded. It feels like they do this delay tactic so that they can say the order has been shipped and then refuse the refund. This may not be a scam but I do not see how it is legal when the customer has tried very venue of contact that their company has suggested and still had no real interaction but they sure charged my credit card immediately. BUYER BEWARE! Actually, BUYER RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

I signed up ForHers when I needed a refill on my anti-depressants and I am in between PCCs
I signed up ForHers when I needed a refill on my anti-depressants and I am in between PCCs. I thought it would be an easy but legit way to get my medication refill. I should have read the articles about how scammy this business is and how they literally use IG models to promote a heart drug to be used off-label for anxiety. Nevermind that the drug actually causes suicidal thoughts and should never be used for "anxiety". But here's my experience below, (trigger warning to those who have experienced mental health provider abuse in the past. )Red Flag 1: The first thing I had to do was complete a hair type quiz. Which felt pretty disorienting when I am looking for mental health services and don't really have any hair on my head to style. But whatever, i needed the meds. I eventually clicked around to the mental health page. Another quiz, but regarding my mental health. I was very honest and gave all my personal mental health and physical health history. Red Flag 2: you are allowed to select the medications you want. Yes, even if you've never taken them before, you can pick whichever one you think you want before you even meet with a doctor. There is a list of several psychiatric medications and you can select it like a shade of lipstick at Sephora. I selected the medication I am currently taking and then went to choose an appointment. Red Flag 3: I select my appointment for the same day. Within about 10 minutes I am contacted by text message by my "psychiatrist" to follow up some questions. He asks me my dosage and then proceeds to tell me he can offer my meds to me for much cheaper. I was surprised that I was going to be charged $85 for a "subscription" and then $60 for my meds which are normally free under my insurance. The provider explained he could give me the meds for $50 (never said how many pills) if i signed up on his Wordpress site for his bulk prescription list. He told me his business is just providing bulk prescriptions of whatever to a select list of clients, all i have to do is text him my home address and the meds i want with my credit card info and he would send them to me. That person was "***" who was representing himself as a licensed Psychiatrist for Hers. As someone who has experienced mental health provider abuse, this was just icing on the cake and I was horrified i had given up all my sensitive mental health history. I contacted customer service and they offered NOTHING. Fortunately they hadn't charged me for anything at that point but they have collected my personal info, my health history and a complete history of my mental health and my payment info and social security. WHAT THE *** how is this legal? This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. this is a massive scam that will end up harming more people who are experiencing mental illness. Mental health medication is not something you should be able to just shop for like a makeup palette. This is going to kill people if they are not stopped.

I used this product and it turned my hair a really weird shade of orange. Called customer service and nothing they could do to help. I had to use Ooops and start over with a JustforMen haircolor.
Hims & Hers Complaints 31
On 12/4, I contacted Hers for a primary visit
On 12/4, I contacted Hers for a primary visit. I had a skin rash, and since it was the weekend, I was hoping to be able to get a prescription sent to the pharmacy. I completed the information, took a picture, paid the $39 fee, and waited to hear back. They got back to me very quickly, and a doctor told me that because it was a skin rash, it needed to be examined in person -- it was a very standard reply about how they were sorry they couldn't help me. The problem is they won't refund me the $39 I paid. I went on a live chat with customer service, and they said that's the fee for the consultation. Any other time I've used a telehealth service, they will refund me if they don't provide treatment. I shouldn't have to pay $39 for a medical professional to look over my information for two minutes, tell me to go to a regular doctor, and have nothing achieved. Now, I'm out $39, and I still have to go to my regular doctor for treatment. I feel as though there should be a disclaimer concerning rashes as areas they treat. As the doctor said in my message, "it needs to be examined in person" then why claim they can treat this type of problem? It feels like they're taking money from hardworking individuals when they don't even treat the problem. It's not right.

I had initially subscribed to Hims in order to try the Finasterid/Minoxidil hair treatment
I had initially subscribed to Hims in order to try the Finasterid/Minoxidil hair treatment. After receiving my first shipment, I decided it really wasn't for me and that it wasn't worth the money. I called the toll free number and spoke to a customer service representative about cancelling my subscription ahead of receiving the second shipment. He informed me that the second shipment had been sent and it was too late to refund my money but that he was cancelling my subscription. He assured me that I would no longer receive any products or be charged. Today, Dec 15th, 2022, I arrived home to find another shipment and discovered that I had been charged another $150. I was so upset to discover that my subscription had not been cancelled, despite being told it was. I logged into the website and sent a complaint forward about the matter. The response I got back was that my subscription was being cancelled but they could not offer me a refund (that sounds familiar). I am so livid right now having been told previously that everything was canceled only to find that it wasn't and now being told the same thing again. This sounds like predatory type of behavior on their part (someone "forgot" to cancel and they have no record of it). I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company and aggressively pursuing this matter further.

How do I speak to customer service about my shipment I just received?
Initially signed up for a six month HIMS subscription for hair loss products including shampoo, Minoxidil, Finasteride, and related nutritional
Initially signed up for a six month HIMS subscription for hair loss products including shampoo, Minoxidil, Finasteride, and related nutritional supplements. After receiving the first shipment, I elected to discontinue using the shampoo and Minoxidil and deactivated the auto-renewal of the subscription. Six months later, I discovered two charges on my credit card for renewal orders. While I had received an email from HIMS stating, "Action required - complete your express check-in" (I never acknowledged), I never received a shipment notification. It's common sense that an email stating, "action required" that is not acknowledged would prevent subsequent action from taking place. That was not the case, as the order processed anyway. Secondly, it is quite obvious HIMS does not send shipment notifications precisely for the very reason I'm complaining - because if they did, there is a higher probability customers will cancel or suspend their subscriptions prior to shipment. Of course a call to customer service resulted in the agent advising that once products were shipped, there was nothing they could do. This is abysmal customer service at a minimum and potentially fraud. While it's only a few hundred dollars, I will most-likely pursue legal action out of principle and will of course work with my credit card issuer to deny the charges.

Hello I was/am a customer with ***
Hello I was/am a customer with ***. I was given a prescription for Tadalafill and things were going smoothly. After several months I asked if I could try another medication to see if it worked any better. So they prescribed Sildenafil. Without my knowledge they charged me over $500 for that. I immediately canceled after I found that out. They refunded me. No issues. I then asked to go back on original prescription and I get no response. So I called Hims in February and asked for my prescription to be transferred over to my new pharmacy and they told me they would email me forms to fill out. I have not heard from them since. I have called several times, emailed a few times and left 15 messages on my account with the first one on February 14th & last message on March 12th and still no response. I have the right to have my prescription transferred & they are making this very difficult. It is taking so long, I am now out of medication & asked them to refill as this process is taking to long and still no response. This is not good business & if I had known this is how Hims treats their customers I would have never dealt with them. The law in *** reads that any prescription may be transferred between pharmacies or pharmacy departments, at the patient's request. I have requested this over a month ago & they do not respond.

I was interested in purchasing a product from the Hims/Hers company via mobile account setup
I was interested in purchasing a product from the Hims/Hers company via mobile account setup. After I inadvertently signed up for a subscription on 9/4/22 and saw a charge I immediately called and cancelled the order and was reimbursed. However, they still kept me signed up for the subscription service which then charged me again on 11/23/22 for $117. After seeing the charge, I called customer service to request a refund because I didn't order the product. They assured me that once I received the order I could request a refund. I never received the product so I wasn't able to request the refund. I then proceeded try to recoup my money by reaching out to customer service via email. After a few back and forth emails, they determined that they wouldn't be receiving my refund due to their 48-hr cancellation policy. I reiterated several times that I never wanted nor received their product but they still refused. From *** At this time, I am unable to issue you a refund for your order, BIuiNzRlT0, for Finasteride Minoxidil Kit (90-day supply). Hims policy is such that a 48-hour notice is required before an order is processed to guarantee a cancellation or a refund. If you would like to know more about this policy, you can get those details with this link: https://support.forhims.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031526911-what-is-your-refund-policy-.

On November 28th 2022, I made a purchase for medication from Hims & Hers Inc
On November 28th 2022, I made a purchase for medication from Hims & Hers Inc. This was for a 30 day supply of 10 pills. After receiving the medication I took one of the pills within days following the directions that came with the medication. There was no effect at all, a day later I took another dose again with no effect. I was then told by a rep from Hims & Hers Inc. that they could sell me more so I can double the dose. As I was not getting results I was not going to spend more money on more of the same pills. They also said because it was the same medicine I could just double the current dose of the medication I already have. I tried this as well, again with no results. The company, Hims & Hers Inc. offers a 60 day money back guarantee, stating on their site, "You are eligible for a full refund of price paid for up to the first 60 days of the prescription product if the following terms and conditions are satisfied" As The medication was not working, and even a double dose was not working for me I requested a refund. I was only given 50% of my money returned not the "full refund" that is stated on the company site. They claim this was because I did not wait till after the 30days, so when the medication was not working, even at a double dose I made the decision to not continue to take more I am being penalized because I did not want to continue to take medication that was not working.

I went through the process of getting a subscription for both hair products and face products
I went through the process of getting a subscription for both hair products and face products. Neither of these products are obtainable by any other pharmacies. I needed my hair product delivered early, so on 7/29 I click the button to order early. I understand global supply chains etc., but since then I have emailed three times and messaged 4 times and gotten zero responses from any human being including the doctors that prescribed the meds. No matter what kind of crazy weather or supply problems are happening around the world, you should be able to answer a customer service question. My order has still not shipped, and now after using the product for over three months and seeing some results, I have no product left to use. I either want the product shipped out now so hopefully I can keep from reversing the good results I was seeing, or all my subscriptions to be canceled. That order has been sitting there and not even been processed or shipped since 7/29. If anyone had reached out and talked to me, or given me another solution in the meantime, I may be more understanding. But you cannot run a business and go radio silence on people that you have written prescriptions too. Especially not when they cannot get that prescription from any other provider. Where else can you get prescriptions and not have a customer care team. Its dangerous. Its completely different than from when I first started, which makes me think something has happened at the company. But if they have furloughed employees etc., they need to let everyone know. Im supposed to be under the care of a doctor, and my doctor is not responding.

I filled out their questionnaire regarding antidepressant medication
I filled out their questionnaire regarding antidepressant medication. I don't recall submitting my payment info, as I hadn't actually decided I wanted to do it. On 9/6/22 I was billed $123.00. I emailed immediately and requested a refund; they refused, said all info matched up, so no refund. 2 days later, I received a box of pills. I did not open the box and returned it to them UNOPENED. I again requested a refund as I did NOT want the services, had NOT used the services, and had returned their merchandise untouched. They again refused. I never used their services, did not want to use their services, and I returned their merchandise UNTOUCHED. I never spoke once to a medical provider, no one reviewed med for side effects, usage etc. This is at a very minimum unethical, and I'm pretty sure it might be illegal. I have reported them to the *** Here is the last correspondence I received from them:"We are unable to refund your account and order as your information was correct in our system, and you did complete your intake with no additional questions for our providers at that time. It is a completely legal process, and providers review carefully all the information that is submitted. If they needed any additional clarification from you, they would have asked, but it is their discretion to prescribe you based on what you had put through that form. Again, I'm truly sorry if any of this was unclear at the time you checked out. If you wish to dispute this with your bank, you are welcome to do so. As for sending the mediation back to us that does not warrant a refund as we do not have a return policy and do not accept returns do to the nature of the medication."

On 04/27/22, I started a prescription for 10 mg of Lexapro from this company for depression and anxiety
On 04/27/22, I started a prescription for 10 mg of Lexapro from this company for depression and anxiety. I had an initial consultation with a nurse practitioner regarding my medical history and symptoms. After one singular dose, I went into serotonin syndrome, a life threatening reaction to a buildup of serotonin in the brain, and went to the *** twice for a variety of symptoms. It is extremely rare to go into serotonin syndrome from such a low dose of this medication, especially since I was previously prescribed 20 mg for years. This very much makes me believe Hers may be erroneously dosing their pills, and I may have consumed a pill that contained much more than 10 mg. I have not contacted the nurse throughout this, since with a typical prescription, the prescription is canceled without a check in from the patient. It is very dangerous and irresponsible to continuously charge a customer for a prescription without once hearing how they are tolerating the medication. My primary concern is not the egregious amount of money Ive been charged monthly for a prescription Ive taken once, but rather that this company is continuing to send this medication out simply for the purpose of acquiring funds, without prioritizing the wellbeing of the patient like an in office medical professional would. These telehealth companies, especially this company in particular, are extremely irresponsible in caring for their patients. I atleast expect a refund for the most recent automatic shipment of the medication, as it has not yet delivered and I have no intentions of taking this medication. I would like the en route shipment dated 09/17/22 to be canceled as I have already communicated to customer support.

ForHims.com is a terrible fake business that does not care about its patients
ForHims.com is a terrible fake business that does not care about its patients. I ordered Topical Finasteride 0.3% with 6% Minoxidil treatment and paid upfront with an automatic approval from a fake doctor. There was no discussion of possible permanent, detrimental and life-altering side effects. For one week of use, I experienced terrible side effects such as headaches, brain fog, back pain, sleep disturbances, insomnia, and several types of sexual dysfunction including impotence, low libido and other disorders. My first nurse was not aware of these extensive, multi-systemic problems. My second nurse suggested I stop the medication. I stopped, but 4 months later, I still have several problems related to my use of Finasteride. Along with continuing back pain, sleep disturbances, insomnia and sexual dysfunction, I have new symptoms related to Post Finasteride Syndrome such as muscle fatigue, weakness, joint problems in neck, back, shoulders and hips and other multi-systemic issues. ForHims.com does not care about its patients and leaves them to fend for themselves in the wake of devastating Finasteride side effects. I want them to cover all my medical expenses related to my treatments for Post Finasteride Syndrome. I want them to cover hormone testing and possible treatment to rebalance my internal chemistry. I want them to provide better warnings to customers about serious life altering side effects. I want them to stop lying about low percentages of people with serious problems from this drug. ForHims is a terrible company that should face class action lawsuits soon for failing their patients in every possible way. Unprofessional, unethical, unresponsive, uncooperative and untrustworthy starts to describe my horrifying experience with this company.

On October 4th I chatted online with someone from Hers about skin cream
On October 4th I chatted online with someone from Hers about skin cream. I expressed that I was looking for a skin cream that would help with acne and wrinkles. I was given a "custom" skin treatment containing tretinoin, the strongest retinoid. I began my subscription and paid the full amount for the first month's delivery. I was told to use the product once per week at first and slowly work my way up. After using the product as directed for 2 weeks, I began noticing horrible side effects. My skin was red, itchy, and flaky. No matter how much moisturizer I used, my skin was so painful and dry that I could no longer wear makeup. I also began noticing large, painful, cystic acne bumps under my skin that lasted for weeks. I have never experienced this before. My skin looked and felt horrible. The customer service at Hers advised that some dryness and irritation were possible, but upon looking into the matter online, I read multiple articles stating that tretinoin causes your skin to "purge" which I was not warned about. I cut out all other skin products so as not to irritate my skin, but by November 5, my skin was worse. It looked like I was suffering a rash, and was very painful. I asked my esthetician and she said some skin cannot tolerate tretinoin as it is very strong and not for everyone. I stopped use immediately, canceled my subscription, and requested a refund from Hers but was told I had to continue using the product for 60 days before getting a refund. This is very dangerous. I don't know of any other store or company that would force you to use a product that you are allergic to/having a bad reaction to in order to get your money back. I never received another response from customer service even when I asked why I got a text saying a NEW order was being prepared and my card was charged which I did NOT authorize. I had already canceled my account at this time and did not speak to anyone about a new product or charging my card.
