My wife and I purchased a new CRV hybrid touring 2023 at Motor World in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsyvania. When we purchased the automobile we were told we would receive 3 free oil changes. We owned the vehicle for over 6 months now and have over 6000 miles on it. I called Motor World service for one of my 3 prommised oil changes. I specifically stated this is one of my 3 free changes. If we have any issues please call. This was approximaely 2 weeks ago, the day before my appointement I recieve a call that the oil change is not covered. You need to let your car run down to 15% for coverage? I stated this was never discussed when we purchased the CRV? The customer rep at Motor World was pleasent but she could not do anything about it. I decided not to have the CRV done at Motor World and would pay for it at another facility. We have owned 4 accords and one CRV and have been a Honda for over 30 years. My father also loved and owned Hondas. This situation leaves a real bad feeling and working in customer service I learned it is very hard to get a customer to return after you loose them. My wife and I will think twice and keep in mind this when we are in the market for a new automobile.
Claimed loss: Just the cost of an oil change and loss of faith in the Honda brand.
Desired outcome: Stand behind your policy or dont offer this as a perk. It is very deceptive and caused customer dismay.
