Hotel booking site
On June 12th I attempted to book two nights for June 18 & June 19th with checkout of the morning of June 20 at a hotel in Walnut Creek. The confirmation email showed the reservation was for June 12 with a total price of $239.56 for one night. When I called the customer service team, several representatives refused to modify or cancel the transaction. So I booked through the hotel directly for two nights for a total price of $313.25, which is really all I wanted to do in the first place. I recommend avoiding hotelvalues.com because it is indeed a rip-off.
Desired outcome: Refund
Tax and recovery fees!!! Also pretending to be the hotel I wanted to book with!!!
This is 1 very sneaky company. Do not go through them, they will charge an astronomical fee for taxes and recovery charges after you book your room! It is not up front like they say it is! There is no way to get a credit back either! I would like a refund of that fee! I as driving and having my 12 yr old daughter doing the reservation, I would never have agreed to this. I am recovering from cancer treatments and exhausted from driving all day! Talk about being taken advantage of! Never again!
Desired outcome: Refund
Hotel reservations
This is a company everyone should stay away from. They replicate the hotels website so the general public thinks they placing a reservation directly with the hotel when they are not. They add fees that increase the cost of the room significantly higher that you would pay going directly to the hotel website. The fees are not defined. Horrible and unethical company.
Desired outcome: Better business bureau needs to identify this company as a scam
Unethical behaviour
I booked accommodation under the impression that I was booking with the hotel directly and paid much higher premium for 2 rooms, I have since had to cancel due to COVID and when trying to cancel with hotelvalue.com there is no one to contact about getting a refund for this reservation.
I am apalled by the amount of complaints loged for this company and I have no way of contacting them
Desired outcome: Refund of my booking
No way to change booking
Good morning,
Due to the current travel situation between France and Portugal have been trying to change my Reservation dates. However I cannot find anyway to contact hotelvalues.com that will allow me to do this. The hotelvalues.com Reservation No: I have is R2509567587 for the Holiday Inn, Avenida Antonio José De Almeida, Lisbon, Portugal. The hotel has confirmed I have a reservation so that is not the issue. At the moment, the hotel in Portugal say they are unable to help but I am hoping they may be able to find a way round this situation.
Regards,
Cliff
Desired outcome: How to change my booking or obtain a refund.
Booking scam!
I thought I was booking directly with Candlewood Suites in Fort Myers, Fl at a rate of $70 per night and after I entered all my information including credit card for billing to make the reservation I was Charged $207 for the two nights as a $66 service and tax charge was added. The message said noncancellable and nonrefundable. What a scam! When I asked the hotel they said all billing was done thru the agency and they couldn't do anything about it. I want my $66 back!
Desired outcome: refund of $66
Reservations
Booked for a 4 night stay in Paris in October (Citadines Paris Tour Eiffel). Like others making a complaint it looked as though it was with the hotel directly but was not. Cancellation policy was stated as up to 1 month prior to check-in on the website (as per Citadines policy) But after purchase quickly realised it was another website, and also completely non refundable. Tried on the phone to cancel but an automated robot only. No other contact form available.
Desired outcome: Refund
Hotel reservation
I thought I was connecting to the hotel site but was apparently redirected through two 3rd party sites, one of them being Priceline. I completed the transaction for the hotel stay and only after receiving the confirmation e-mail was it apparent that there was an additional $245 on the charge. Calling the customer service line was useless. The person I was talking to had no interest in helping me and bluntly offered a $45 credit if the reservation was kept. If I cancelled then I got nothing. This was just over a day after making the reservation and almost 2 weeks before the scheduled stay.
I reserved two rooms at a rate of $113 for two nights. ($452) I then got hit with an additional $246 in taxes and fees.
I called the Hotel directly, a Wyndham property and was told that they have no control. In fact, due to the 3rd parties involved, the hotel doesn't have access to the transaction at all. Meaning they have no control or effect in their own business.
This is a terrible way to do business. Not something I would have expected from Wyndham.
Desired outcome: I wanted a cancellation and refund.
I unfortunately booked 3 rooms with Hotel Values. My error, as I thought I was booking directly. I tried to cancel 1 of the 3 rooms only and they refused to support me. I was giving them 5 days notice but their policy states you must cancel 24 hours after booking only or lose 1 nights room and tax.
Never book with them again given that the Hotel policy is 24 hours notice.
Hotel Values states that the Hotel policy is One day after booking. That is Incorrect and IHG confirmed that to me.
Key message is book directly with the Hotel.
Frustrating and not acceptable.
Unethical behaviour
Excessive fees charged were undisclosed.
Willing to overlook but booked the wrong friday and wanted to change by one week, the hotel had plenty of rooms available I had checked, they said cant modify or help in any way.
What a rip off! Never use them. Why they wouldn't accomodate a simple change is unheard of in an industry of customer service.
Hotels should not allow them to book as the hotels will lose business. I know the super 8 wyndham in peterborough just lost a customer because they allow this site to sell rooms.
Total scam!
Desired outcome: WANTED TO CHANGE DATE OF RESERVATION ONLY BY ONE WEEK
Reservation
I went online and asked a Google to find the web page for Hyatt Hotel in Kauai. What I received back was an AD which when clicked I was transferred to is Hotelvalues.com. Thinking I was online with Hyatt Kauai I made a reservation for November 2021. I received a confirmation via email with a room I did not want, a deposit for the reservation I did not agree to. When I noticed that the email was from, "[protected]@hotelvalues.com" I tried to cancel, however email they sent showed not method for cancellation or contact with the Hyatt Kauai. Likewise the email gave no way to view the reservation.
The confirmation email from hotelvalues.com showed an additional charge, "Tax Recover Charged & Service fees US$1, 1192.34. What is this? That was explained later in the email as what hotelvaules.com what the agent pays the lodging provider for room, cleaning fees, taxes, and resort fee with the balance paid to hotel supplier and/or the website you booked on.
Desired outcome: This was clearly cyber "bait and switch" and perhaps a Fraud that google should be aware of.ld not be a party too.
60% price markup
I made the mistake of booking a room through these crooks. The $58 room got charged to me at over $80. When I called to complain and demand a refund, they told me since I agreed to their terms and conditions, I would not get a refund. They tacked on the addition after I agreed to pay. I talked to the hotel directly, but there wasn't much they could do about the fee. If hotelvalues.com would contact them, they could cancel the reservation and give me one at the guaranteed price. But hoyelvalues.com refused. Tell everyone you know not to use them! There may be a decent online booking site, but I won't trust any of them again.
Desired outcome: I've at least still got my room, but not at the deal that was advertised.
Accepting a booking for Hotel in York UK when Covid rules apply
Booked 2 nights at York Central UK for 3rd and 4th May accepted no problem and confirmed. This hotel is subject to Covid 19 restrictions, but this was not written anywhere on my booking until after I received a confirmation. I demand a refund as the booking was accepted without advising of this restriction which is unlawful

Hotel Reservation
Hotel was booked for wrong date and I am unable o get someone to help refund the charge.
Desired outcome: Credit prepaid reservation
Unethical behavior
I made a reservation online with what I thought was the Comfort Inn in Silver City, NM. When the confirmation came through it was apparent that I had not been in contact with the hotel, but with hotelvalues.com, who charged me an outrageous $52.82 for "taxes and fees" on a room that should have cost $124 total. (I did make a new reservation with expedia for that amount, same room, etc). I contacted my visa card and as soon as this false charge is posted, it will be disputed and not paid. It seems others have had the same experience so I hope someone will bring a halt to this unethical practice!
Note: May be trying to do business as: getaroom.com
Desired outcome: Charge of $162.82 is not billed to my card.
Hotel bookings
I booked through this organisation for one night accommodation at Comfort Hotel East Melbourne, 90 Albert St East Melbourne Vic 3002
Confirmation number [protected], made contact with Hotel to cancel and they did not have a booking, I then attempted to contact Hotel Values, with now response,
The paid price of $186.24 which was debited on 9th Feb to GAR*HOTLE RES [protected]
I have not been able to contact to get a refund, Melbourne East went into lock down due to COVID19 restrictions,
Can I get a refund
Desired outcome: would prefer a refund if possible
Guest reservation cancellation online
I requested the cancelation of the guest reservation r2316657650 the same day of the reservation due hidden charge not disclose on the original agreement. They acknowledge receipt of my cancellation request (ticket # 4553066). Nevertheless, they charge the amount of $2, 556.50 to my credit card. I request a full refund of my credit card account as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: Refund all charges to my credit card
Charges
I made a reservation on 1/17/21 using Hotel values. It was for 1 night and the price that showed online was $56.82 total. When I received the confirmation email I noticed that they added another charge for tax recovery and charges/service fees. It was $32.84. I was not aware of these charges when I reserved the room. I tried to contact them unsucesfully. The hotel (Microtel, Charlotte never heard of them.
I think it's a scam for seniors.
Desired outcome: Get credit for extra charges
54% taxes and fee
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel. It's set up to look like you are booking directly with the hotel, but you are shunted to this scam outfit. I was charged a 54% tax from HotelValue.com. I realized this after we stayed another night at the hotel and looked at my invoice from the hotel and the actual taxes and fees were 14%. Total scam operation.

Booking
I was told the room I booked in San Antonio at the Durry Hotel was refundable but they immediately charged my card and now I can't reach them. I canceled the room Reservations moments after I made it because it was for the wrong dates. I was emailed saying it was canceled but my card was still charged. I will dispute this charge with my bank.
