H&R Block / HRB Digital agent unprofessional behavior

This afternoon, April 24, 2019, I called the H&R Block business in the small town that I live in and I had a horrible encounter with one of the agents. I was having an issue with the IRS and had attempted to get help with the issue through the company I had filed my taxes with this year. Unfortunately they have already closed their doors for this season, so I had thought to call the H&R Block agency next door. When I called I explained that i simply needed a number to reach the IRS with and that was all as I didn't want to waste their time or anything since I hadn't actually filed with them this year. At very first the agent who I spoke to was very nice and offered to help me with the problem if i brought in my paperwork, however when I explained that I had actually not filed with them this year and I only needed just a number from them his tone changed very quickly and he refused to so much as offer me the number I asked about. He would only tell me he wouldn't help me and to end the call over and over. When I refused simply end the call because all I needed was a number he became extremely belligerent and even started to yell at me, in fact he yelled so loud that my ex who was in the next room came into my room and asked what was going on because he heard the commotion. However by the time he came in I had hung up the phone and was in tears. I have never had an experience like this before from a company who is supposed to believe in professionalism, nor will I be using them again for any services from now on.

H&R Block / HRB Digital used since 2011 - they deleted my account by mistake

H&R BLOCK - I was ready to pay my $5k due, all was well 4/14. I called to confirm everything again (yes last minute); spoke to a great person... We decided I could get back $60 without one of the Services... :-) I then asked if I should get rid of the Form 8829 (as I took Standard this Year)… he referred me to a Supervisor so they could delete the Form. THE SUPERVISOR ending up DELETING ALL of Tax Years back to 2011... WTF? He said hold on, and never came back after 2hrs, 48mins, and 39 seconds... ALL IS GONE... I have no words for my mess... And then never filed!

H&R Block / HRB Digital tax preparation

H&r block refused to accept our letter of northern residency for tax purposes.cra said our prove of residency should be accepted.h&r block refuse to redo our taxes and won't return phone calls.they said we don't live in a prescribed zone any more.form t222 states you. Use live in a prescribed zone for al least six months which we did.have letters from town council and utility bills to prove it and they still say we can't call northern residency

H&R Block / HRB Digital 2018 fed and state deluxe software

I use their software for the last 16 years, this is the first time I found problem with the software, I have over $1800 foreign tax paid this year on 1099 DIV Line 7, the program should generate form 1116 but it didn't resulting in no tax credit giving on form 1040 Line 12b, chat with H R online several times going nowhere, those people know very little, I'm changing to Turbo tax next year.

On 3/23/2019 I went to have my taxes done. I wanted to know how to have them done seperate from my husband. I explained that we have not been together since march 2018 due to domestic violence. The person then said why would I want to ruin my husbands life by doing that to him. Then they I shouldn't of said that. I told them no you should of not of said that. I asked for my things back and left. Seriously they felt I should be more concerned with his life. I feel this person should loose their tax license and get some education on domestic violence. They had no right to say that to me they are there to do taxes nothing more.

H&R Block / HRB Digital 2017 tax product

I have had an ongoing issue with the online form that I submitted last year for 2017 and have a confirmation of my submission and yet I received a letter form the IRS in Jan 2019 letting me know that they have my payment, but no return was submitted. The IRS let me now there was nothing that they could do for me, so when I called H&R on 01/22, I talked with Josh who was not able to assist me. He transferred me to Casey who gave me a case number 1543148. Casey wasn't sure what happened either, so he put in a request to have a different team research this issue and let me know that I would hear back from them within 48 hours. No one called.
On 02/08 at 130 pm PST, I spoke with Deshonda. She let me know that she was able to pull up a return with the last 4 of my ssn and my zip code, but it was not in my name and that I might be a victim of fraud, she then escalated this issue. the case number for this call is 1557830. I was told that I should get call back within 72 hours, but please be patient because this is the busy time of year. So I waited a week. I called and gave the information and both case numbers and was pretty quickly transferred. I then spoke with another gentleman and I am sorry that I didn't get his name, but he said that I was not transferred to the right place, but he would communicate with another rep from the area because I had been on hold for so long. between the hold time to get to him and the holding, talking and him conferring with a teammate, I was with him for over 2 hours. At the end of this conversation, I was told that I needed to print off the return and send it to the IRS. When I stated that the only thing that I have is a copy of the return that says "do not file" he let me know that the IRS will take that now, it would be ok. I believe that I asked him again if he was sure and he said yes. Well, guess what I got back in the mail yesterday?!I got my return and the letter that I sent to the IRS back stating that I cannot send in the return that says "do not file." So now I have lost 60 days of time that it could have been processed correctly the first time if any one of the CS reps that I talked to would have given me any sort of correct communication. So today, I get to chat with Berny A. Thank you Berny for your patience. I am sure he knew that this was going to be a bad conversation when I started the conversation with "first of all, I am sorry." This whole thing has been an atrocious attempt at good business practices. "we cannot find your return." It's still online. "you can send the return in with the do not file watermark." Also bad information. "you might be a victim of fraud." Unneeded scare and not true. Now, I have to download software to re-enter my information from 2017 and print and sign and send it to the IRS which will take another 6-8 weeks to process. In the meantime, my husband and I are not able to efile for 2018 because my 2017 AGI is not listed with the IRS for them to verify. Which means that our return will be delayed. While Berny was nice and able to get the information to me that I needed to download and sent me a code so that I don't have to pay for the software this year since I have already paid for my taxes to be completed by H&R, I am so extremely disappointed in H&R Block. I should have never paid anything to your company to have my taxes never be filed. For me to receive false information that stated that I have successfully filed my 2017 taxes on 04/13/2018 and have this mess and the waste of time has been more than slightly stressful. My card was charged on Apr142018 H&R BLOCKS ONLINE TAX PRODUCTS - [protected], MO $32.63 Additional Information: 94301394HFT [protected]-5625 Reference: [protected] Category: Business Services - Banking Services. Not once have I felt that the company would make any of this right. Not once have I felt confident in any of the information provided to me until I talked with Berny. Now I am just hoping that when I get home that I will actually be able to complete this and not be charged.

H&R Block / HRB Digital h&r block online /refund

My Whole Tax Refund of $4027.00 went into Amazon cards which I did not request.
Their customer service is useless and transferred me to over 4 departments and no one can help. I need reversal of this transaction. I phoned the IRS and they cannot do anything about it. I phoned Amazon to see if they could help and they advised that only HR Block can help. I am very frustrated and will never use them again. They are a scam!

H&R Block / HRB Digital I did not receive all of my federal taxes they stole over 300 and I am reporting them to better business

I was suppose to obtained 779 and they gave me a portion and on the 27th of Feb. 2019 I was told that I should have 376.49 which posted and receive no later than the 4th of March. I have always been a loyal customer to H&R Block and never had any issues with my Emerald cards in the past yet they are scamming this year but, never again. I am going to inform everyone I know do not do Business with H&R or obtain an Emerald card they are scammers.

H&R Block / HRB Digital complaint

I didn't my taxes on HRBlock.com like I have always done for the past 4 years. I had authorized a charge of $29.99 and when I got me return I had noticed that it was more than $29.99 that was taken out. I look and there was an additional charge of $34.95 for refund transfer fee that I did not authorize and have never been charged for in the 4 years that I had been doing them online. I have done business with HRBlock for 20 years and never have had any problems until this year. I get on the online chat to see what is going on and the first operator was rude and cut my chat short without even trying to assist me, the second one said he couldn't because it was already accepted and gave me the IRS phone number. This charge is not a IRS charge, it was an unauthorized charge by HRBlock and if I had known about this charge I would have went somewhere else and probably will next year. I have spoken with many others that used HRBlock and had direct deposit and non of them was charged this $34.95.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Advance loan

My complaint is I go to file my taxes 1-16-19 expecting the rapid refund advance, the tax expert mary brady [protected]) tells me I would not need photo id as my wallet was just lost the day before, she precedes with filing for me, at the end she tells me she can't finish without photo id, so I have to leave and go apply for id, she says sorry "my bad". I go back the next day she finishes them telling me I would leave with money on the emerald card more then likely before I left the office, well that did not happen. After I got home, I received a text stating I was denied. Charged $312, for a service I could have done myself for free. No rapid refund and did not receive my taxes any quicker then if I did it the free way. No email / text stating when I would receive them finally received my state taxes after checking the balance of the card and I am still awaiting the federal return. I will never ever use this place again or recommend them to anyone, I know people who did them their selves and have received there refund prior to me spending $312. H&R Block / HRB Digital taxes

H&r block says that they can not find my return that I had done over 21 days ago. Also they put 30 client's personal data (last names and ss#, etc.) in my packet. I called to take care of this matter but I got the run around for a hour and a half. So what do I do now with all these client info and how many other people got other people's personal info. H&R block should be ashamed of this matter and should look into this matter.

I had my taxes done in north Adams ma January 25, 2019. I recieved $750 in advance. I was NOT told that my State refund would be taken to recoup fees and advance. I Always have had fees owed retrieved from my Federal refund. I would have NEVER gotten an advance if I had known that would happen . Steve Maroni was the person who prepared my taxes.

H&R Block / HRB Digital not being informed by tax agent until after the fact

I have 84 dollars being deducted from my tax return so a tax professional would look over my taxes before I filed them. She said everything looked great and found a tax credit that would get 200 more dollars. I was pleased because they said it would be direct deposited in 8 to 15 days. After waiting almost a month and needing the money for bills I messaged her and asked why I hadn't received it yet. She informed me that the tax credit means I wouldn't receive my money until some time in march another 20 or so after already waiting for almost a month. She didn't think to tell me this until I messaged her. For 84 dollars I feel she should've mentioned this before filing. there's a big difference between 15 days and two months.

H&R Block / HRB Digital customer service/emerald advance

I called twice today to make sure that my account had been updated as paid but I got nowhere. I'm so sick of all these companies sending there calls overseas to people that don't care, can't understand, and don't speak English. I told the lady that I was ready for the survey and instead of her letting me do the end of call survey she decided to transfer me to a fax machine. So I called back and started over. I'm now on the phone currently on hold for the last 26 minutes because this man doesn't want me to to do the end of call survey. Every 5 minutes he comes back to the phone to put me back on hold. I guess he wants me to hang up Long story short, this customer service process is ridiculous. They need to be held accountable for playing on the phone. It Should be a law against these companies sending calls overseas.

H&R Block / HRB Digital no advance when said they coud guarantee an advance on my tax refund.

I was told I could get an advance on my income tax return . Upon leaving an hour later I got a letter saying I was denied . I could have filed for free, but the preparer said that It would be guaranteed because I was already getting a refund over $1, 000. I was charged $251 that didn't have to be paid because I wanted the advance and was still denied . H and R block is doing this to reel in customers only to have them get denied and pay their service fee. As well as the money to have it direct deposited to your account, this isn't fair to customers .

H&R Block / HRB Digital claim # 1520229

I faxed information around 10/12/18 regarding my 2014 Ohio state tax return as requested and I was told I would hear back in 4-8 weeks and I have heard nothing.
What is the status?

I think there is an error in your program sending the federal social security amount over to the state return as it increased it by around $6800 and the state said I owed more money, which I paid.

The same mistake has occurred on my 2016, 2016, and 2017 return, which I may hear about in the future.

Please reply and let me know where this claim stands?

H&R Block / HRB Digital emerald loan

I tried for the loan and got denied although it said i was getting almost $4000 back. Then it said due to credit issues. I personally looked my credit history up before going and i dont have but 5 minor things on my report. I believe that the loan is given to whom they want to approve. If its a loan against your taxes, and they truly see that you're working, and see an estimate of what you're getting back why not approve you for the loan?🤔Especially if they get their money back right off of the top when you file your taxes. Plus they dont advertise that they run credit checks. I believe that the whole operation is a scam to get people hopes up.😡

I have gotten the emerald advance every year since they started. I ALWAYS have it repaid through my tax return funds before I get anything back. I had a really rough year after a malpractice surgery that caused me to not be able to keep up on a couple of credit cards and needed the advance for my kids for Christmas. Because they run credit checks, even though they don't tell you that, I was denied. Now I cant do Christmas for my kids.. It would have been nice to know that they were going to run my credit so that I didn't waste the 30 mins drive to me disappointed this year.
