Hyundai Subject - Peeling/flaking paint exterior tri-coat white paint (WJ) various locations.

8/2/2020 was the beginning of visual recognition of paint flaking defect (see attached images). Currently very pronounced on drivers side roof line where roof panel meets the front windshield (see attached). Other common areas of paint flaking include trunk lid at upper radius-ed corners where trunk meets rear glass. I have also seen paint flaking on lower front engine hood panel just started.

1) Mileage = 37142 miles

2) Paint code (WJ)

2) Garaged 90% of the time when not in use.

3) "Never" driven in snow or winter conditions

4) Exterior well taken care since purchased new

5) Covered with car cover and garaged when not in use.

Hyundai Paint bubbling/blistering on 2015 sonata

The white paint of our 2015 Sonata has recently started bubbling/blistering and peeling. There are no rust, scratches, or defects that might cause this problem. We have learned that Hyundai has used what is known as "self-healing" paint which is likely the cause of this problem. Hyundai fails to accept responsibility for using poor performing materials and will not repair the paint. Our daughter also has a white 2015 Hyundai Sonata that is having the same problem. We have a sunroof and currently, the paint peeling is limited to around the back window. Our daughter's car, however, does not have a sunroof and the paint is peeling off the roof in big sheets.

Desired outcome: To have Hyundai repaint the affected areas at no charge, and hopefully to issue a recall for all their cars that have been painted with the "self-healing" paint.

Hyundai Urgent: brake failure in my hyundai tucson - immediate action required

I am writing to report a critical safety issue with my Hyundai Tucson (VIN- KMHJ381AMLU122759. On September 11, I experienced a complete brake failure due to a collapsed seal in the left rear brake caliper, resulting in brake fluid leakage.

This incident led to a loss of control over the vehicle and posed a severe safety risk. It is essential to stress that, had this occurred on a busy road or highway, the consequences could have been catastrophic.

Considering the gravity of this situation, I no longer feel safe driving my Hyundai Tucson. I kindly request an immediate replacement of my vehicle to restore my confidence in Hyundai.

I urge you to take swift and serious action to address this matter and restore faith in Hyundai's commitment to safety.

Please respond to this email asap to discuss the replacement and compensation process.

Hyundai Hyundai cars still under warranty

I bought a brand new grand i10 Hyundai in March 2022 with zero KM on

On Wednesday 30th August I was on ma way to work the vehicle was too slowly and I stopped aside the road tried to restart and move it never worked.

I phoned the insurance to tour my vehicle to the nearest Hyundai which was in Plumsted branch and I was told clutch burned and I must pay plus minus 10K and they are not covering it because it’s my driving style not factory fault.

Warranty does not cover that during the process of purchased that was not explained at all only Thursdays 31st I was sent warranty information with what does Hyundai cover. After i have asked maintenance/ Warranty plan states that warranty only cover few things , and doesn’t cover clutch burned especially for vehicle with less than 2 years .

I’m quite suprised and disappointed with the service that i have received

Hyundai 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Blue/Engine Failure

While driving on highway car said warning ⚠️ turn off engine. Pulled over followed instructions. Waited. Turned back on, message repeated. I turned off the engine. Had car towed to dealership. Was tolded engine failure due to faulty bearings. Hyundai agreed to replace engine. Dealership said fuel pump failed due to engine failure but Hyundai will not pay to replace. This has cost me time and money.

Desired outcome: I would like my car repaired or replaced and reimbursed for money spent on rental,tow,and time lost

Hyundai Peeling paint 2016 Hyundai Elantra

I have a 2016 white hyaundai elantra and the paint has been peeling so bad, the front of the hood is almost halfway peeled off. Being that this is a known issue with Hyaundais, esp white ones, the company needs to be held accountable and responsible for the costs of repair. The paint started as just a few chips but now the paint is coming off almost in sheets, everytime it rains it peels off as I'm driving and gets stuck on the windshield which is extremely dangerous. I'm considering getting lawyers involved because the hyundai dealerships refuse to even address the issue let alone fix it. I'll never ever purchase another hyundai again, as will none of my family nor friends.

Hyundai 2017 Hyundai Tuson/ Hyundai International

Vehicle had no power. Carried the vehicle to the dealership they diagnosed catalytic converter stopped up while there I complained about oil consumption. Hyundai has refused to warranty any problems because I don't have service records. I have worked for dealership and owned my own auto repair business. I know the importance of service of a vehicle. Hyundai has had several engines recalls.

Hyundai Hyundai motor finance

I have been having an issue in contacting this company in regards to this company not giving credit for payments made. Each time a payment is made, there’s 300 to 500 dollars more that is owed for payment. I was locked out of my account for some reason and I have called only to be hung up on. In the past I have asked for a deferment to get caught up, it happens to everyone! All I get is the runaround and a denial if I’m making the effort to pay my bill you would think they would TRY and do whatever they could to help someone who is having financial struggles at the moment . Instead they threaten and do whatever they can to make matters worse this particular company has the worst customer service I’ve encountered!

Desired outcome: I would like a response and an explanation as to why they don’t help when asked and work with me to have a resolution so that both parties are satisfied

I bought a vehicle from them on 07/30/2023

Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid 2022 and the sales person was Erik who cheated us as he said that we will give you the Hyundai program benefits without any extra charge when we asked him for a discount so I paid the down payment $4750 then we asked him to keep the vehicle till the next day so the manager Fares said let’s also sign the paperwork tomorrow

We went the next day and i asked to talk again to Erik and asked him to explain the Hyundai program benefits so he went through it then he said you are very lucky that you got this program instead of the discount i said ok deal then we signed the paperwork but when we went back home we figured out that the Hyundai program benefits not mentioned in the contract so I called the sales person next day and i told him about that he said the accountant Tarek was supposed to take care of that & he was supposed to activated it for you then he said let me go back to him and I’ll give you a call back but unfortunately he didn’t

So, I called him many times but he didn’t answer so I went to the shop me & my spouse and asked to talk to the manager Fares but he was racist and very rude and said you already signed the contract and nothing you can do if you want it you have to pay for it

And said I don’t care what happened with the sales person this is what I have for you and started to shout and yelling and started to kick us out of the shop so we felt unsafe and called 911 so the officers came and reported everything

They cheated me & by the way i told them at the beginning that i have my own loan offer from my bank and they are not suppose to run my credit but when that happened they run my credit 7 times without telling me

They are very bad image of Hyundai

Especially Fares ( the JM ) & the sales person Erik

Hyundai Customer care

My name is Violet Savage and on 7/14/23 my Tucson went back to the shop for the second time for noise, that no one could find. Finally, realized it was the fuel pump from the start. I haven't gotten good milage from the start. I contacted Hyundai Consumer Care, that assisted with issues like this, because I felt the car was a lemon. They gave me a case manager, which was Leon Matthews. I spoke to him the first time after five days of finally returning my call. He was very abrupt with every question or answers I asked. The outcome of the conversation was that he could nothing for me until the vehicle was fixed and until he had the repair order.

My case #[protected], contact #[protected], Ext 65032. Mr. Leon never returns my call on the day he says he is going to. I have reached out numerous times and left messages and he does not return my calls. Now, going into past the third week, I have asked for a new case manager with this matter. I have surgery on August 11th. and none of this has been dealt with a reasonable outcome.

Please help me get a resolution with this situation,

Hyundai Vehicle details given do not match the country traffic register details, possible fraudulent registration process.

Good day,

I purchased a demo Hyundai venue from Woodmead, South Africa dealership July / Aug 2022.

I battled to get the registration papers from the Sales-person - I sent various emails, made phone calls, escalated to customer care. I eventually got the registration papers at the end Jan 2023 - 6 months!

I did however note some strange issues with some details pertaining to this vehicle :

First strange issue - I received an E-toll acct for the vehicle - the amount seemed huge since the vehicle was sold with only 2500 km's on the clock - it seemed impossible to have a ~10k E-toll acct for only 2500 km's of road travle?

Next strange thing - My wife booked the vehicle in for a service and the service centre had the vehicle registered to a Mr du Plessis. Those details waere sorted out though and updated , but how can a demo vehicle belong to another person and be registered in their name?

Now we have tried to get a vehicle license disc renewal and the licensing department will not renew the license for us - they say the car details are not matching what they have in their system.

I do not want to approach the dealership with this matter as this is starting to stink of something underhanded and fraudulent, and they may just try to cover things up if it is. I have also seen a lot of complaints about this dealership on the "Hello Peter" website.

If my wife should get stopped in a regular roadblock and they do a standard vehicle check, I am anxious she may get arrested now.

Please give this matter you urgent attention, the license will be overdue the end of this month!

Hyundai Hyundai santa fe sport

I am making this complaint because I was always uncomfortable with purchasing a Hyundai. I purchased a car from a third party who were very unprofessional they did not satisfy my problem with the car which I purchased. I am now emotionally attached to the car and the problem with the car when I purchased the car has completely failed. I look up several reviews about this issue and it's with many of your cars so sad. The locks on the car at first just lock and unlock on there on when I was near the car with the key fob. Now the key fob has completely stopped working. I took the car to an electrician whom works on cars and they have stated the key fob still has life that the issue is with the car. I've noticed many recalls on the car but none to address the electrical defect the the cars have. I am extremely disappointed in a company with such a brand that is not stood by. I would appreciate your company to address the electrical issues with the locks and recall the issue I don't feel as though this sort of issue me or any customer should have to pay for it's with several of your cars. I will not think of ever purchasing another Hyundai vehicle. I've only had the vehicle for three years to have to deal with an issue such as this' I've change the battery also and that's definitely isn't the issue.

Hyundai Finances

I have been getting called and harrased since march, the day i changed my auto pay. My autopay is set and goes through every time. I get harassing phone calls from the same lady. One time i hung up on her as i was in the middle of a meeting with my apt complex. I apologized for hanging up the call and she kept going in circles saying, go ahead and say yes i will process your payment. She does it everyday in the 3-4 days before my autopay. I said dont do it, dont process it, i know you can see my autopay date and she said yes i can see it, ill go ahead and take your payment. I hung up on her. Since that hang up. She calls me all the time. Same person! I called finance to make a complaint and she answered! I need help please. Shes been calling me since i was 8 months pregnant, my baby is 2 months old and she keeps calling me! I blocked her multiple times. She has my information, where I live, social, phone number. She never stops. I uploaded the photo the day she started doing this. She called me twice in one day.

Desired outcome: Im not sure how someone handles this. Ive never been harassed by a representative. Block her, fire her, tell her to leave me alone! Keep my information safe!

Hyundai Trade-In issues

On May 27,2023 we decided to accept a trade-in offer with Hyundai. The 27th is also the payment date. We ask the seller and the Finance guy that a payment is due today, but he said since we traded it in today, the payoff amt will include all monies and they call the finance area to get payoff. In the month of June we started getting repeated calls about not paying our 2022 payment. We never missed a payment before and now we are getting treated like we never made car payments to them. We explained we no longer have the car and we traded it in on 5/27/23, with Hyundai and got a 2023 Hyundai. They still insist we owe for May and Jun and another bill for July 27th coming up. This makes no sense to us. We are being harassed for being repeated customers and I have own 2 in my single years since1989. They say they have no payoff payment, but its Hyundai that we traded with and once we buy a product from them why are we responsible for a car we don't have and it's at the dealership or sold by now being a 2022 and way under 20k in mileage. We got a letter of DEFAULT today with late fees included due 7/27/2023. This is ruining our credit. This is not fair, and it feel this is the worst mistake of our lives. We are paying on a 2023 now and in today's economy you can't afford to pay for new and a trade-in because they are not handling the trade-in paperwork to keep customers from stressing and worry over something that is not in their control, but we have told friends and family that wanted to get the Palisade after they seen and like ours to just go back to Toyota and Nissan who do not put the paperwork resolving on customers who buy their cars and can drive off happily with no backlash of dept issues that don't talk to each other and leave it to the customer to fight the issues.

Desired outcome: Not to pay for a car that was traded in back to the dealership the morning of May 27, 2023. Stop the harassing phone calls, we have done nothing wrong. To call the dealership for paperwork details.

Hyundai Clutch of i20 magna car

Since I have bought i20 magna OD33J7923 in 12.th August 2016, 3 times clutch failed and I was stuck in the traffic. This time on 8th July 2023 in the toll gate the clutch failed it was ocword situation,my family was in the car with a baby. After half an hour the clutch work we were able to reach home. Every time I have showed to ur work shop Utkal Hyundai Gajapati Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, they change the clutch totally and assured me that next time it will not happen. Again and again it happened. I can't think to take this car to a distance place. During discussion people suggested me to sale the car and switch over to some other company. Please suggest what should I do.

Hyundai Clear coat peeling flaking

Purchase a hyundai used vehicle 2020 veloster with still 2.5 years factory warranty. It has clear coat peeling from rear spoiler.

Contacted hyundai and they are refusing to honor the warranty, claiming the issue is from environmental issues, we have report from body shop that clearly states its a factory application problem hence warranty.

We have paid $400 to repair as this issue only gets worse.

We want hyundai to reimburse us

Hyundai 2016 hyundai tucson issue vin km8j33a21gu087967

I am on my 2nd Hyundai vehicle and am having an issue that is not getting resolved through you complain process. I paid over $1000 in 2022 to have the motors replaced on the front 2 windows and now that back 2 window motors have gone out. My vehicle is under 100K miles and the back windows are rarely used. In 2022, 2 door handles also broke but fortunately they were under warrantee.

I opened a claim to have Hyundai fix the back windows but they would only refer me to the dealer for the FRONT 2 windows. They WORK, it's the back 2. After multiple attempts, Hyundai customer service referred me to the Better Business Bureau? (Case #[protected]) Is this how you resolve customer issues? I would consider a third Hyundai but not if we cannot resolve this window issue. The back windows are rarely used.

Please assign this to someone who can resolve so that I don't have to escalated to the CEO.
