A older man working the self checkout assumed my friend was drunk when she has a genetic disorder that affects her speech and her gait. She is 21 years old and was trying to buy a bottle of wine and he said he couldn't sell to people who are drunk, but she was not drunk she merely has mild cerebral palsy. I went back in to tell him she wasn't drunk and he yelled at me and told me to get out.
Desired outcome: Teach your employees not to discriminate
Negligence
Well on top of telling my store manager my dept manager and a co manager that my back was fried from pulling trucks by myself i ended up hurting my back this past sunday, i told my store manager about the situation and nothing has been done about my situation, someone from corporate was supposed to contact me, never happened, i tried calling, they dont pick up, i called hr, no ones called me back. What am i supposed to do?
Desired outcome: Do something ingles
No mask people coughing and sneezing on other people
Burnsville NC Ingles People in this store coughing and sneezing everywhere very few wears a mask. For God sake please ask people to just wear a mask while shopping in this store. This is a matter of life and death. Is money that important to you. Everyone needs to step and do their part to get rid of this virus no matter if vaccines or what.

kenadi
I was currently in forest city North Carolina ingles and I got the absolute worst customer service ever! KENADI OR HOWEVER you spell her name was just terrible to me tonight and I will take my business to food lion from now on! I spent 106.00 and she was so rude to me! She was so busy being rude she forgot my receipt... She was rolling her eyes and talking about me to her colleagues as I left the store! It was a horrible experience!
Desired outcome: Fire her!!! She does not belong in customer services or anything else dealing with the public
Manager
The general manager over at store 436 on Canton hwy cumming ga, doesn't treat the employees correctly is always an [censored] to them even if they are sick, he also isn't very friendly at all and most the employees don't like him, also the store is severely understaffed and that doesn't help with keeping people staying as they become over burdened with too much to...

DOS Sunday September 12, 11am. I've been having balloons blown up at ingles for years. And let me make a point to say not one single person has ever given me a hard time over it. My sister and I showed up at Ingles in Mills River, NC to have balloons blown up for my daughters first birthday. Right off the bat I walked in very understanding with plenty of...

I am complaining because my son, Jamison Woods and his boyfriend were employees at Ingles in Statesville for over 3 years. One worked as a bookkeeper and one just became a manager. They were both fired the same day with no kind of warning or suspension. I honestly feel that because they were gay they were terminated. The manager that fired them (Karen) I believe was trying to get rid of them because they were gay. They even have text messages from her saying if corporate comes don't tell them y'all are together. I just feel the whole ordeal was handled poorly and I am going to see my lawyer. Why fire 2 gay employees on the same day. Sounds crazy.
Desired outcome: They should be offered their jobs back or we can go to court.
Well that is the reason your son is claiming he was fired. I wonder what is the truth.
Checkout times
The last 2 times I went to my local Ingles I was in line for 10 minutes then 5 minutes. Only 2 people in front of me then one, already done.
When they get cash back the cashier goes to the front for 5 minutes. Then one guy paid with a $50 for $38. Disappeared for another 5 minutes to get change. $11!? Some of us just want to buy our groceries and go.
Desired outcome: Change of policy so the process is quicker. Either no cash back or money in their drawer.
Poor service, unfriendly service
I typically do not like filing complaints but I also feel that management should have feedback if a store is beginning to show signs of poor service. Had other local customers not shared the same concerns I likely would not have thought more of it.
Complaint: 1) Things such as employees standing around instead of bagging groceries and a lack of interest with job duties in general. 2) Unfriendly service. 3) Lesser product variety of recent.
I was told that a recent manager left for another opportunity and that that was part of the drop in service but I cannot speak to that personally. I only noticed the drop off and that people are avoiding the Sylva Ingles. Food Lion in Sylva is getting more business as a result.
Desired outcome: Managerial review of Sylva Ingles
Safety precautions
I shop the Ingles on Merchants Square in Dallas, Ga almost
weekly and today, August 30, 2021, I really took note of all
the employees NOT wearing masks at this store. Especially
the people at the deli counter handling my food. With the
Delta Covid variant being so bad, I would think ALL employees
should be wearing masks. I would say over 95% were not.
If you don't care about your employees, think of the people
coming to your stores to shop!
Desired outcome: Wear masks!
Poor management
Ingles in Spruce Pine... Well, to put it another way, this would be a good place for a grocery store... Never enough help, nobody in the deli to cut meat, poorly stocked shelves, maybe it's time for someone else to come in and build a store... We spend a lot of money here, thinking about doing something different. There is no comparison to Spruce Pine and Burnsville... Burnsville hands down... You need to get a grip on it...
Chicken
Had bought chicken and employee packed everything loaded everything and forgot to give it to me had come long way to buy the groceries for the family who loves eating fresh salad from the salad bar and decided to pick up chicken too as it looked very tender and juicy hopefully I will be credited or send some coupons to purchase the next chicken free
Desired outcome: Was coming from long way to buy
Employees/management at spruce pine nc ingles
I'm writing this one behalf of myself and all the other employees at spruce Pine NC Ingles. The real reason majority of people are quitting Spruce Pine Ingles. here is because a lot of employees are working there butts off doing overtime and not getting any credit for it and get told by management and I use this term because it all management from assistant...

For the past two weeks I've been coming home with various products from the Ellenwood Ga store store and they've been stale or wilted(as in produce). I know I can return the merchandise but I'm a senior and I often do not feel like coming back out to make an exchange. I realize we are in a pandemic but I don't have this issue of freshness at Kroger(across the street). That is why Ingle's is only a store I use for fill ins. It is not the store where I do my major shopping. I've been living in this area for almost 30 years. The caliber of customer service has also sunk to an all time low. The people who worked there in the past used to say hello or good morning. You can't even get a person to give you eye contact these days. The young man who runs the store and the older man are very personable.
Desired outcome: Some sort of discount or coupons the money lost. I rarely return anything. I usually throw the merchandise out.
Produce department
I went to Ingles to purchase cilantro (among other things) for some salsa. I wanted to purchase some organic cilantro, but the two bunches they had were half rotten, so I looked for some regular (non-organic) cilantro. The regular cilantro bin was empty, so I ended up purchasing both bunches of the organic. When my husband looked at the cilantro after...

I was in Ingles this afternoon and notice that the girl on register 15 didn't have anyone and the girl that was on 16 had someone she was checking out but the girl on 15 sent me over to the one on 16 the one on 15 was to busy just standing there talking to two boys and the girl on 16 didn't even have anyone to help her with the bags she was bagging alone and even helped me placed them in my cart makes no sense seems like the work isn't being done fairly there y'all should pay more attention to the people y'all are hiring and give credit to those that are doing their job it's definitely to many kids working there playing around more then they are working
Pharmacy / Hiawassee, Georgia
I went to the drop off window and stood for several minutes (only one there), another gentleman came up to the pickup window and was served immediately. The pharmacist (Kimberly), shouted hatefully from back in the pharmacy "do you have something to drop off?" I said "yes". She repeated the question. I said yes again. Still from behind a counter back in the...
