WOEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !
I have been a customer for 13 years and spent over $15, 000 there.
Today they made me pay $20 for a watch battery that I had already bought a lifetime battery warranty on. The money was not the issue it was paying for it twice! And the horrible way the manager there treated me. Earlier this year I had to pay over $200 for my wife's watch battery replacement. It also had a lifetime warranty. They claimed that they had to send it to Switzerland to replace it... I had them close my account and I will never go back. I will also tell everyone I know and blog about the experience. I am just in shock that they treat their customers that way. For a battery they probable cost they a dollar.
Good bye Jared !
Same bad service experience.

Horrible Experience
My issue is with my wife's wedding ring that was created in the custom jewelry department at the Wegmans Plaza store. Due to the number of issues with the ring, the number of times the store has tried to correct it, and the irreparable damage caused to the ring by Jared's service department, I am planning to return the ring to the store and demand a full refund of the purchase price of this ring. I will explain in detail the reasons behind this below:
Background:
I purchased a platinum custom ring on 7/18/2006, at a charge of $2, 160. The Extended Service Plan was purchased for this ring at the same time for $149.99. The ring was using heirloom diamonds (ten round cut diamonds, approx. 1ctw), given to my wife by her grandmother. It was her family's wish to use those stones in her wedding band. The ring was to be ready for pick up just before my wedding date - I took delivery of the ring on 8/30/2006, and our wedding was the next day, 9/1/2006. I knew the ring wasn't quite right when I picked it up initially, but with the wedding the next day, there was no time for any repair of the custom ring. This led my wife and I to return to the store on 9/2/2006 to speak with the custom ring shop to fix some initial issues we had with the ring. These initial issues included:
- The ring was not symmetrical. The ring was not circular inside or out, and looked off balance, with one side of the ring thicker and wider than the other. To be plain, the ring was not round. This issue can still be seen on the ring as it is today.
- The ten diamonds were not placed in any real order, and the amount of metal around the stones was not even, giving the ring a 'thrown together' look. This also caused future problems.
First Repair: September 2006
To resolve the issues, the only thing the shop would do was machine out the inside of the ring to make it rounder. I asked that the ring be remade due to how assymetrical it looked, but the store refused. They machined the inside of the ring and also cleaned up some of the metal around the stones, but the ring still looked off. We took delivery of the ring back on 9/7/2006. We really weren't that happy with the ring, but the store said they couldn't do anything more to fix it.
Second Repair: January 2008
A little more than a year later, one of the stones fell out. When we took it back to the store in early January 2008, we found out that all the stones but one were very loose. When we spoke to the store manager regarding the construction of the ring, he immediately put us on the defensive and insisted it was our fault, as I had a ring designed that wasn't very secure. To be clear, I had never seen a wax mold of the ring when it was constructed, and was never offered the opportunity to. The design of the ring was suggested by the staff at the store when I purchased it in July of 2006. Now, they say, this ring should never have been made with such a design using heirloom diamonds, contradicting their own in-house designer. Regardless, the store needed to correct the situation.
I again requested that the ring be remade - melted down and recast, but they refused a second time. They took the ring, reset all of the stones, and added a bit of metal in between each stone for additional security.
Keep in mind this is the same store that created the ring in the first place. We picked up the ring around January 17, 2008, and were happier with the way the ring looked, although still not perfect.
Problem Today:
Sometime within the last two months, my wife noticed something odd with herplatinum custom wedding band, repaired twice by the Wegmans Plaza store. The additional metal that was added in between the diamonds on the band was beginning to tarnish. After looking at it more and more over the next few weeks, we have come to realize the extra metal that was added to our platinum band was in fact white gold. Not only is the ring now contaminated, which ruins the integrity of the platinum band, to add insult to injury, another stone fell out.
This is completely unacceptable. After some investigation, we found out there are no seats in the prongs for the stones, nothing is symmetrical, and now of the remaining 9 stones, 4-5 are loose, 2 are very loose, and the last two seem to be still OK. The Wegmans Plaza store is the only place the ring has ever been serviced. After the store has had the chance to fix the ring twice, they only succeeded in contaminating the ring as well as losing two of my wife's grandmother's diamonds, which cannot be replaced.
This ring is beyond repair at this point, and I am requesting that I return the ring, have the store return my remaining diamonds, and refund the full purchase price of the ring ($2, 160) as well as the Extended Service Plan sold with the ring ($150). As a repeat customer, and due to the nature of the issues, I expect that my refund be granted.
We called Jared Customer Service on Monday Feb 2, 2009 to raise our issues with a service reprensentative. We spoke with a Joe at extension 6379. After explaining the situation and the irreparable damage done to the ring caused by your store, he blatantly refused the possibility of any refund, and refused to let us speak to a manager. This obviously is not acceptable and need to escalate the matter further.
Warranty not honored
Do NOT go to Jared!!!I purchased a 2 carat loose diamond from Jared. I went with Jared because the salesman sold me on their warranty program plus there are Jared's all over the map. Jared mounted the center diamond on an engagement ring. When I picked it up, I noticed that they mounted it incorrectly, it was too high. None the less, I took it and proposed...

Whatever you do make sure you DO NOT SHOP AT JARED'S! They will do and say everything and anything they can to sell you their merchandise then as soon as something goes wrong they don't even look at you when you walk in the door! Kirk and Peter (the so called managers) in Sacramento on Arden Way are nothing but a joke! Then you ask to speak to their higher-ups (corporate) and that is impossible! You can only write them a letter in which takes months to get a response. I swear trying to talk to corporate is like trying to reach the "GREAT OZ"! I don't know how those animals sleep at night!

sounds like a bad job to me on the other hand craftbuilt has a great product if installed properly. The cement pad should of been covered with 3/4 inch foam then covered with 3/4 inch plywood to create thermal barrier the primmiter should be flashed properly before flore track is installed. Also you slould of had a proper heat pump installed to assist with heating and if no heat pump was installed your home furnace can only heat the area for the btu recomended, this would be like adding a second flore to your home and not up grading your heating system.Im sorry for your bad expearence and hope that your problem has been solved ther'es people that should'nt be doing this kind of work their tools should be taken away they make it harder for guys who take pride in their work
Stone in Daughters ring loose
My daughter graduated college and saw a ring that she absolutely loved - She saved up and bought it - she could not afford the "insurance", she could barely afford the ring itself. A week later the stone fell out - luckily she found it.Back to Jared - they gave her a bunch of excuses but they grudgingly fixed it . A month later the stone is loose again. They refuse to fix it again because of no insurance. I said this is a defect to the original condition of the ring and any good business should fix it - no questions asked. Buy the insurance was the answer. I asked, "Well if I buy the insurance, do you cover the stone if its lost"? No we don't. If you couldn't fix it the first time - I wondered, how can I be sure it will be fixed this time? We don't cover that in the insurance - read the fine print". My answer was - I have spent $4000 on a Leo 3 stone, $4000 on my Leo 3 stone, $2500 on wifeys platinum diamond ring, and $1200 on watches in the last 6 years, but now I am done with this "Can I get you a water or coffee"?, in my opinion, pseudo crap ritzy bull, all show-no-go customer disorienting no service, no people skill, no manners, asinine, illogical, flim flam outfit. And I urge others to" be aware". JARED Did not stand behind this product or workmanship.

I bought every piece of Jewlery I had ever purchased (until this point) from them. I got an anklet for someone in another state and wasn't sure about the size. They assured me she could have it sized at no cost with just a piece of chain, no stones which makes perfect sense. Well, when she got it and went to have it sized they charged her $25 to have it sized. When I emailed Jared to ask them why they basically told me I was lieing and they would of never told me it would be free. So out of the thousands of dollars I spent there I was trying to get $25 pulled over on them for free. It jusrt doesn't make sense to me because since then they have lost another couple of thousands of dollars in sales to Shane Co., which by the way has been much nicer any way. As far as the Jewlery goes I can't complain about Jared, but if you're going to buy from them just hope you never have a problem because you're screwed if you do.
Ruined my ring by a &free& clean & check
On May 19, 2010 at 3:30 p.m., I went into a Jared's in California while on vacation. I was greeted by a young guy who showed me around and then offered to give me a "free clean & check" on my rings. He admitted to me that he was not a jeweler, just a salesman. I gave him my rings to clean & check. He told that my diamonds were loose and needing fixing in my...

I recently purchased a 1.18 carat solitaire from Jared and it was sold as an IGI- E SI1. I've taken it to three jewelers trying to sell it only to find out it should have NEVER been graded as an SI1 because the inclusion is clearly visible. I am LIVID and feel I have no choice but to loose thousands on this diamond. I would love to return it and get my trade back but I don't think I can. I will NEVER buy a diamond again. : (
customer treatment
Purchased a watch from Jared's and extended warranty. The whole face of the watch shifted a quarter turn after a year. Went back to the store for remedy. Sales associate quite condescending. Guess what? No record of my warranty in their computer system. (Odd as the watch band was previously replaced under warranty). They had no record of any of my purchases which was strange as I had made several there. First I discovered he had been spelling my name wrong even though it was written down on a piece of paper. I actually got him to show me the computer screen. After advancing several pages we found my previous purchases. Magically the watch purchase and warranty disappeared. "Well if you can give me the exact date, " he responded. I was able to as it was an anniversary gift. Watch purchased finally found but not the extended warranty. I received a call four weeks later. "Good news after further checking we were able to find the warranty." You guessed what's coming next, the extended warranty expired two weeks previously. I argued the point that I had been in the store during the warranty period, no luck. I found this a very poor way to treat a person who was a loyal customer. Good bye Jared's, I will support l0ocal jewelers.
DISHONEST PRACTICES
I took a diamond bracelet to the Jared in Arundel Mills to be fixed. The sales girl looked up the price, and told me it would be $45.00 to repair the break. I agreed. Before she wrote up the order, she checked each diamond, and informed me that 21 of the 48 diamonds were loose. She was amazed that I had not lost one! The cost to fix the settings would be $110.00 which is added to the $45.00 for a total of $155.00 plus tax. I decided to wait to have it done. We were traveling back to Pittsburgh, and I remembered a jeweler who had fixed some jewelry for me before. I gave him the bracelet and asked what the cost was to fix it...$12.00. He also checked the diamonds, they were all secure!
Loose diamonds are a great trick of Jared's. I was at a N. Olmsted, OH to purchase a watch and they offered to clean my ring "free"! They had to check it first, guess what? Loose diamonds. Took it to a local jeweler to have it repaired. He called about 1/2 hour after I dropped the ring off and asked if I was sure I left the right ring as there was nothing wrong with the one he had.
Fraud
I purchased three baby earrings for my child and each time the backings would fall off and were not staying on. She'd turn her head and the backings would fall. Her hair would hit them and the backings would fall off. Finally, when the backings fell off and were missing, I returned to the store to have them replaced. I spent $60 on three backings and the earrings had to be sent off to get the correct ones. I waited a week for them to return and I had to call to find out if they came in rather than the phone call that I was promised. Upon getting there, the backings and earrings were somehow missing even though I called and was told to pick them up as they were there. In addition, only three were ordered that I had to pay for. The ones that I would have gotten for free because I purchased the protection plan with one pair, were not even ordered. I paid for them and went home only to find out that the same situation was taking place. I ut the ones that were "screw backs" on and when I picked her up to show her in the mirror, the backing fell off. I then returned to the store the next day and was told that they had to be "adjusted". After that being done, they were so tight I could not get them on at all. I called the manager and inquired on what they could do for me and if I could return them only to be told I had to come in. I did so and they were adjusted again. This time way too loose. I was furious. Not only is the store over 30 minutes away but they are so nice on the phone and when you go inside you have to practically beg for service assistance. Well, I finally called the customer service number and complained and after 1 week of broken promises for return calls, I received a message saying that I could return the backings and purchase the protection plan for the other three pair that I have to "protect" me from having to pay for backings in the future. Hello! Thats not the only issue. Finally I got more upset and went to Macys to purchase some (even though the Jarred sales person downed Macys' jewelry quality) and the two earrings that were purchased have had no issues, nothing lost or falling out and I can leave them in all night. Thanks Jarred You Stink and so does your service. I guess since I didn't purchase a $10, 000 pinky ring my purchase meant nothing to them.

On 5/5/15, I bought a watch at Jared Vault in Cypress with 12 months no interest. When I recently looked at my bill, I noticed there was $197 on there for interest. So I called thinking this was an easy fix. I told them my agreement was 0% interest for 12 months. Customer service proceeded to tell me, that’s if you put 20% down, you would need to pay $2, 500 down payment to get the 0% interest. I was shocked and said what are you talking about? That was NEVER mentioned when I bought my watch. I would have never bought the watch if I had to pay a $2, 500 down payment that day or NOT get the 0% interest for 12 mo. I said I will return the watch. He said you can’t return the watch you are passed the 30 days.
I called the store to talk to the Manager. A lady got on the phone and I explained, she couldn’t help me, she wanted me to talk to the other Manager that helped me that day and she left a message for her to contact me. She never called.
I have NO paperwork stipulating anything about a required 20% down payment for the 0% interest. In fact, I only have receipt. I remember when it came time to pay, the Manager asked me if I wanted to put anything down and I said no, why would I if it is 0% interest. (That would have been a GREAT opportunity to tell me about the 20% down for the 0% interest.) NOTHING WAS SAID or I would have stopped the deal right then and there.
The watch was like $11k and I’m thinking they just wanted the sale and the commission and I was purposely not told about the 20% down payment.
My intent in buying the watch was to make the minimum payments (I didn’t even know what that was until the bill came in) and I get quarterly commission checks and was going to pay extra 4 times during the year and have it paid off in the 12 months.
I can’t afford OR won’t pay $200/mo interest AND I would have NEVER bought the watch had I needed to pay a $2, 500 down payment that day AND they won’t let me return the watch.
I basically told the store to get my bill fixed to the 0% interest for 12 months and I will continue to pay minimum $600/mo. Or let me return the watch. Or if you do neither of those I will just quit paying yall at all. I have heard back from no one.
Dishonest and cheat
I bought a $400 swiss watch as a birthday present from Jared Jewelers on Oct 3 and tried to return it on Oct 10. The store refused to take it back and accused me of having scratched the watch. The people at the store were very rude and dishonest. It was a bad experience and WATCH OUT if you buy anything from Jared Jewelers! They will not stand behind the quality. I will NEVER shop again and spend a penny at Jared Jewelers. They cheated the last $400 from me and I guarantee it won't happen again.

My husband had one diamond replaced in his wedding ring which consists of 10 diamonds in a row. My husband noticed the diamond did not look the same as he others (which are of top quality) and in another day or two the stone fell out. We brought it back since it was under warrenty and was told "How do we know if it was the diamond that we put in?" We will never shop Jared again. And the ring was fixed by a local jeweler with excellent results. Keep away from the chains if you want good service and honest dealings.
Worst quality stuff ever in my opinion. Jewelers for the most part there are very inexperienced.
Me either. Never again. Bought a ring and they completely hacked it up re sizing it. and cheated me out of a v cup setting. Wanted 66.00 for a 14.oo dollar item.
Defective Product
We bought a pair of diamond lever-back earrings ($399.99) from their store in Sugar Land, TX a year ago. From the time that we took them home one of them had/has a spring that is too tight. I have taken them in 3-4 times for repair. The last time, their salesperson told me that if they didn't fix them right then I could bring them back and exchange them.
I tried to wear them yesterday - but the spring is again too tight. The back of the earring opens and immediately closes making it impossible to wear them.
I went to the store and spoke to the Mgr - which was completely futile. They will only continue to repair them. They will not honor the exchange they told be they would do. I called their Customer Relations line - which has customer service reps that work only from a script and was told the same thing ... continue to bring back for repair or don't wear them.
This place only wants your hard earned money. They do not stand behind their product, have no idea what good customer service is, and completely lie about their guarantee for having their customers completely satisfied - that's their guarantee.
Their Customer Relations department told me that when it comes to exchange "that unless it is within the 90-days - even if they tell you differently - not even an "executive" in their company will give an exchange."
Absolutely ridiculous. I will never step foot in another Jared's store or any of the other stores owned by their parent company. I have only started my mission of getting the word out that Jared's is a rip off.
Save your money and your time. Go elsewhere ... go somewhere that will honor their word, and back their product. They will tell you anything just for a sale.

1 ct Diamond replaced with a fake !
In 2004 my husband gave me his late mothers 1ct diamond ring. Took the ring to Jared's had the diamond center stone 1ct VVS1
M color, excellent cut, and had them put it into a setting we bought there. Since then I have had it checked and replated with them according to the warrenty. (They always check to be sure it is a diamond and mark the flaws on my reciept.) I went into the store located in Hurst Tx on May 16, 2009 to have the prongs checked and replated. I was told when they checked the center stone it was not a diamond! I have all the GIA certs and every time I took it in it always tested as a diamond until now. No one else has ever worked on this ring. I never thought to have them reverify that it was a diamond when I picked it up. When I called their Corp. customer service, I was told that they could do nothing because I picked up the ring! I have done some checking to see what it would cost to replace with the same thing $12000.00. I am more upset about the sentimental value of the stone and the fact they don't seem to care that one of their employees stole my diamond.
CHECK TO BE SURE YOU ARE GETTING A REAL DIAMOND AND THAT IT IS THE SAME QUALITY BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE!

Custom ring setting
I got a beautiful promise ring from my then-boyfriend, and I absolutely love it. So when the time came to custom design an engagement ring, Jared's was the first name that popped into our heads, for sentimental reasons and practical. It turns out that the 'craftsmanship' that we loved about Jared's is only for ready-made pieces. We ordered a white gold band and bought four little diamonds, .1. We had the store replace the head of the ring to fit my 1 carat sapphire and put the diamonds in. When I went to pick it up, all the diamonds were crooked. Even after looking at them under the microscope, the sales woman had the nerve to tell me they were fine. I finally called for another sales person who took one look with her naked eye and said, "wow, those are crooked!" So they agreed to fix their defective craftsmanship, and I was to pick it up the next day. I went in to pick it up, and not only was one of the diamonds still extremely crooked, but there was a visible gouge in the gold AND there is no "14K" stamp on the band. I didn't notice if it was there before, but I am assuming not. They had the nerve to tell me that it was a custom job, and no custom ring will ever be perfect. We are still in the process of trying to sort it out, almost two weeks since ordering it. They take no returns on custom work so we may have to take the loss, even though their work is what is at issue. I will never buy another piece of jewelry from there as long as I live! Buyer Beware! I had another jeweler look at it and it is going to cost several hundred dollars to fix it, and they noticed scratches on the prongs as well.

Bought a Levian ring only to find it elsewhere for $1300 cheaper. That's right $1300. Upon going back to the store I was told I could receive a refund of about $250 which was not acceptable so I gave back my ring and was told I would receive a check in about a week and my original ring within two weeks...This wont be happening because now I'm told it would be about 4 weeks for my original ring and my refund now needs to go back on my visa card. ( I did not have that card with me at the time of the return) That would be great except that I have paid off my visa card and now will have to wait an additional 30 days for my visa card to send me a check...It seems everyone I spoke to had different answers..Futher more my Jared account which was charged $581 was credited back but my 12 months interest free payments would of been $70 a month. You do the math..Thats $860.. Never will I set foot in Jared again.
I have a Tag watch which is still under warranty. I took it into Jared to send onto Tag as the battery needed replacing. They took a copy of the warrenty card to send off with the watch. This is the third watch we have sent to Tag through Jared so are not new to this. None of the previous watched - one for more serious repairs has taken more than 6 weeks to return to us. I took the watch in on Nov 17 and called just before Christmas. I was given the standard company line of if we do not have it back yet it is still with Tag. Ok I bought this as it was still only around the 6 week mark. I called again just after Christmas - same line but I pressed them and they said the watch was definately with Tag - not sure how they confirmed this. We then went in on Jan 6th and was given the same speal - but again made them confirm that the watch was definately with Tag - bearing in mind this is now the 3rd time and no-one has actually contacted Tag on any of these occasions. I called again last week and insisted that someone phone Tag to find out where in the process the watch was. Cathy called whilst I was on the phone and said that Tag had never received the warranty and had sent Jared an estimate that they were waiting on confirmation to continue the work - Jared claim they sent to the warranty and never reecieved the estimate - very hard to beleieve either of these. I was promised a call back with an estimate of when to expect the watch back - no call. We went into the store a few days later and spoke to the assistant manager, who again promised to call me yesterday - you guessed it no call! They really are unbelievable, the services is shocking and a watch that was sent in on November 17th is still not returned to me on January 25th - needless to say we will be contacting the Jared Head office, I am contacting Tag and if the watch is not back in 7 days I will be taking legal action! Terrible - if you have a problem these are not the company you want to deal with.
on july 27-2010 i went and purchases a watchbend for the price of 85 and it was final.on the day i went and pick it up they told me is 150. I have the bill of sale for 85dollar no where on the paper work does it state that the watch is for 150dollar. i talk with sale lady and ask why did this happend she told me if i dont like it they can return it. I find that very rude. In the past 3year i have spendCASH over4grand at this store. the sale person number is 547671. I would like for everyone to know that if you were sold the item for that you should be able to go with a peace of mind. I have all my paper from them with the amount that was soldas or for in the amount of 85dollar.
I purchased a Tissot watch in August. This watch needed to have time reset every time I wore it, the store explained that this watch needed a movement box to keep watch in motion when not worn. I purchased one at a different store and used when not in use, but the watch continued to have same issue. I returned it and they sent to factory, after three weeks I was told it will need a whole new movement and will take another three weeks. Now this is the most expensive watch I have ever purchased and believe they should replace with a new watch as it was apparently defective from the start. The Manager said they are just middle man with Tissot and could not help me, I told him that if that was the case I would never purchase another item from Jared, he agreed that I would just have to wait and get my watch back from repair. Note all my cheap watches have worked fine for the past ten years, my suggestion stay away from Jared and Tissot.
i am employed at a jared store in Pittsburgh were i have noticed several sales assos and managers commit fraud when filling entering credit apps in store computer they would increase the monthly income to get more line of credit which only hurts customer. Also i have witnessed sales asso and managers looking thru computer to see other customers line of credit so they can use there line of credit to help the customer in store buy his ring and then hope they bring money in so they can change the charge so the unknow cutomer wont se it on a bill. Also i have witnessed from managemt to sale asso. looking thru computer using other people reward points that they earned on purchases and using themfor there customer. Then when u come in store to use your points you are told there non available or they hurry up and try to takes points from someone else. I have reported to hr several times they do not care since i was never contacted bewarenow im just being harrased and discriminated against was told today i should just leave
21 August 2012 I purchased a setting from Jared store number 0436 in Georgia, the salesman told me I needed to change out the head on the setting cost me $389.99. Found out when I made a resent purchase of another setting at Jared's the changeout was not needed. When I called customer service, James told me, there was nothing they could do because the person no longer worked at that Jared's, when I called, Loretta (manager at Georgia location) she said he was still employed. I informed James, he does not have to still work at the store, just have the manager do an audit, and see if it was a normal practice for that salesman to try to up the total sale by misleading the customer, James said "I have no way to confirm this". I guess that is the best customer service you get at Jared's. Jared's charged me a late charge for February 2016, they received the check on time, but because the bank only put the last four of my account on the check, they mailed the check back to me and charged me a late fee, when I called customer service, Jame said they have no way to identify the account, since multiple people have the same last four account numbers, James refused to reverse the charge. I paid off my account, I know that does not phase Jared' s, I will never do business with Jared's, again, I have purchased over $10, 000.00 from them in the past 5 years. They damaged a perfectly good diamond when they set it in a setting ( has a haze over it), said some times that happens during the process of setting since they use heat.
9 December 2015 Michelle said she would call me back about my complaint against the Store in Georgia. Still waiting for that call. Like several people said, they treat you like a jewel when you are in the store, but when you leave, you are a nobody. Seems like something should be able to be done about the way Jared's does business.
I am completely disgusted with Jared Jewelers. My fiance bought me an engagement ring from them about a year ago. I had to have it custom made since my ring size is too small for what they had available. When I received my ring, the center stone had a yellowish tint compared to all of the other stones surrounding the center stone. I have since then complained about it, have taken it to get cleaned way too often, and even called the corporate office. All they can tell me is that the stone they put in it matches the same characteristics as the one I paid for. All I can do is upgrade it for a stone double the value as the one we paid for. My center stone looks dirty, foggy, and yellow. It is not what I picked out. I'm furious. On top of all of this, the salesperson that attended us managed to secretly sign us up for some insurance that will continue to pay for your ring in case that you lose your job. My fiance is a federal agent, so we were quick to decline that offer when she mentioned this to us at the store. Months later we found out my fiance had been paying for this insurance. I wish someone had warned be about the despicable way that Jared Jewelers treat their "valued customers" I will never go back to this place again!
I bought my wife a bracelet, didn't last 6months and broke. Took in and they repaired it. It broke3 more times. I went to take it back, they said I would have to upgrade to something of greater value. So, I bought a gold diamond bracelet had it less than a year and it broke. Had them repair it, didn't last a week and broke again. Went into the store to return it. They said that I would have to purchase something of equal value. The manager talked to the corporate office and they told him I could buy any pieces in the store to add up to the purchase amount. Went today, that manager wasn't ther, when they called corporate found out if I didn't purchase diamonds I would lose 150.00. I am contacting corporate office myself. Not right! Also bought a diamond ring, had it less than a year. Took in for inspection they found a couple diamonds missing. After 2 weeks I had to contact them on the status. Found out the ring I had bought about 6 months was no longer available. They woul not refund me, I had to purchase different jewelry. Do not recommend thi place to anyone! They are rip offs and customers after they purchase do not come first!
Jared's is supposedly creating a custom ring for me and have been doing so for over 4 months and they can't seem to understand a very simple design or finish one of the two wedding bands. I was ready to pay cash ($4k) but they talked me into an interest free for 12 months loan so I went with it. Turned out, it did have associated fees, which they stated it wouldn't. So far I have $1500 into the project and no sign of jewelry. I know their refund policy but I haven't even received merchandise. How would it apply?
Min's the worst...My fiance bought my ring in March and proposed to me in March. I noticed over the next couple of weeks that my "diamond" had cz written on it. I didn't know what this meant so I asked somebody and they told me cubic zirconia. I almost hit the floor in shock. So my fiance calls Jared and they have no idea where my diamond is that he purchased. They wanted to give me 300-500 compensation in Pandora. I said hell no I have pandora I want my ring! Then we went to another jared store I told the manager the whole story she told me #1 your ring now is a 61/2 in size and you ordered a 5 and when jared orders rings and diamonds together they come back together. So the lady let my fiance walk out of the store with the show case (model) band instead of the one he ordered. I have been walking around for 3 months with a fake ring and my fiance is comepletely ripped off. Trying to fix it now but of course they are a bunch off ###s. So I WILL be writing to their attorney and taking this further.
customer servise
late payments to this company are to them are unacceptable and a breach of contract, regardless if your own busines burnes up and you need a month or 2 to get things straitened out.Yes it happened all my other credit card companies and dept store cards were understanding and had no problems espiecally in the hard economic times we all faceing now so my advice is to never let emergencies happen that might make you late on a payment or just never get a jared card. ( i had my account with them for 5-6 yrs spent 3-4 thousand a yr and only had a balance of $600$ dollars thats it and so i paid it all off and went to a whole nother jewelery entity out side of the sterling/ jared/kay and whatever else jewelers they own)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I recently shopped Jared's in Boardman, Ohio, only beginning to look for en engagement ring. They talked me into a quick "review" of what my credt limit might be in case I wanted to purchase on a payment plan. I complied but then told them NO when asked if I wanted to open an account. I NEVER signed anything, yet two weeks later a new credit card shows up in the mail! And to top it all off, the store actually called me to ask if I had decided on which ring and the size of the diamond. Mind you, I was in the car with bluetooth and my future fiance that I have NOT yet proposed to is sitting beside me. ###! I will never step foot in that place again unless iti is to tell every customer in there what they are and how they operate!
jared jewelers sold my son a ring for 8000.00. the ring was suppose to have a diamond in the middle that was 1.6 carats. we took it to another jeweler who told us that the ring and its authenticity papers were misrepresented. the actual diamond was only .8 carats and the smaller diamonds around it made up the rest of the carats. when he first went to purchase the ring they gave him numbers about cost and a monthly finance plan. when he went back with 20 percent down they renigged in the cost and the length of the contact. when he wanted to give the ring back after 4 mos. and giving them 3500.00 they said they would take the ring back and stop his 500.00 monthly payments but it would still go against his credit! for that matter why not just stop making payments and keep the ring!
I used Jareds Jewelers Plano Texas to purchase a wedding set for my new wife and all went well. 4 months later i had another need to purchase another ring set and I experienced a totally different Jareds. The $100 coupon they sent me was not honored and the salesperson was dishonest in her commitment to us. Upon return to pick up our rings we discoverd a manager had dis approved the salespersons guarantee. We are so very unhappy with our second experience that we will continue to tell our friends and family to pass Jareds by when needing Jewelery. By the way Jared, my son is geting married in 3 months... guess what?
You have lost a cash purchaser of your products forever!
Do not shop here! I purchased a men's bracelet for over $150. Description: Stainless Steel & 14K Yellow Gold. The bracelet was well taken care of and only worn occasionally. On several of the links the gold plating started to peel up. The store manager recommended I take it to a jewelry smith and MAYBE they could fix it! They wouldn't extend a store credit or any type of replacement to me. The bracelet is clearly faulty yet they still sell it on their website. The reason I purchased from Jared was I thought they had a good reputation. It's also embarrassing to give a gift to a loved one, that you think is good quality for a special occasion, and then it falls apart.

Horrible Horrible Experience
My issue is with my wife's wedding ring that was created in the custom jewelry department at the Wegmans Plaza store. Due to the number of issues with the ring, the number of times the store has tried to correct it, and the irreparable damage caused to the ring by Jared's service department, I am planning to return the ring to the store and demand a full...
