store at volusia county, mall fl.
I have to say I've shopped at penney's my whole life and really never had any complaints, but after my trip yesterday at volusia county mall, Fl. I was so disgusted with the fitting rooms that were so nasty, clothes laying in every room. The liner from womens bathing suit bottoms were stuck on the floor. Just so gross. Then as we were heading out I had to use the ladies room. Oh my god, toilet paper all over the floor, toilets looked like they haven't been cleared in a long time, wet spots on the floor, puddles of water. I was worried about slipping and falling. I hope this store gets cleaned up because it will be awhile before i go back there. I hate to think that this is what penney's has become, a slum store. Good luck!

I ordered three pairs of nike socks over 10 weeks ago online with the option to ship to store. The item is still in "checking inventory" status. I called 4 times to jc penney online and the story kept changing. Now they are telling me that I have to go personally to my nearest store and ask if I can get the item for the same price I paid for it. Unacceptable! Order # [protected]

Saturday May 20, 2017 my son Domenic and his wife Amie were shopping in the Willow Grove store with his mother in law Linda and his beautiful baby girl. Amie and Linda were looking at clothing (Shirts) with my grand daughter when two store associates standing near them began to apparently form some negative and quite nasty opinions about my grand daughter. What the associates didnt realize was that my son was with them. As they (Amie and Linda) moved on to another area Domenic walked over to where his family was just browsing to look at the same shirts and heard the two associates talking to each other about "that ugly baby with the big head". My son was on one side of the display as they stood across (arms reach) from him laughing and and making specific comments. Now I feel I must share with you that this was especially disheartening because of a medical condition which affected my grand daughter's brain development. My son and daughter in law found this out while she was 4 months pregnant. They were presented with the option to terminate the pregnancy but they knew that would never happen. They knew that the little baby growing inside would be loved and deserved a chance to live and be happy. What they didnt know was that there would be some people who would not understand. They didn't believe that some people would be rude. They didn't think that they would have to defend her in a store from trained (some what) employees. They did not expect the employees to act so unprofessionally in front of customers right out on the floor. They hoped that people would at least be respectful.
This breaks my heart especially knowing what my son and daughter in law have gone through and the hurdles still to come. This hurts me to the core thinking that a simple shopping trip has left them feeling hurt and discouraged by their experience in J C Penny's. I grew up working in retail since high school. I remember the thorough training process I had to endure. I mean no disrespect when I say this but have things changed with the training today? Or were these people having a bad day?
They have no idea what their disrespect has done to those hard working determined parents of my beautiful grand daughter. I'm so thankful that that beautiful happy little girl didnt hear them.
Although my son and my daughter in law spoke to the managers and were abale to identify the associates, as well as fill out a store incident form/report, they deserve a formal apology. It doesn't seem right or fair for them to be simply sent off with a pat on the back and a promise of termination.
If you only knew how deeply this hurt and offended them.

gold toe cushion low cut socks 6 pack
For many years I have purchased these socks and with each year the quality has deteriorated. This year is the worst and I cannot wear them as they are so skimpy that they slip inside my shoe. I have used two of the 6-pack and I would simply like to return the rest and get some sort of refund. Really disappointed in what has happened to this product.
Purchased at the McMinnville store on March 18. Since there was more than one item purchased I don't recall the exact price. On statement listed as bundled item "Women's Socks-bath rug" 31.98

In January I opened a JCP credit card to save my mother the extra 15% . We bought several items including 2 bras. She tried them on at home and we returned them the next day. As it was a brand new account and I did not have a physical card the clerk had to use my SS card. It took her several minutes to access the account and give us the credit.
The next month I got my statement and the bras were NOT credited. I called the customer service number which is not actually JCP, but Synchrony Bank which does not have access to the info from JCP. They filed a dispute for me to "investigate." Over the next few months I kept getting letters from them saying they needed the "documentation" aka, receipt, of the return. My mother could not find it. If I HAD the receipt there would have been no problem in the first place!
They suggested I call the store and gave me info they had from the purchase. I called the store and spoke to the manager, but I needed to come into the store to research it! The store is half an hour away so not so convenient. The bill finally came again and I had no chance to go to the store. I decided to pay the bill and try to settle it later. As luck would have it I was one day after the due date so they tried to charge me $25 as a late fee for something I did not even owe for that was returned! When I called the agent waived the late fee.
Then today, I get an online statement for $2.00! I call then again and they say that since it was one day late, the bank had charged the minimum interest. Hmmm, $2.00 interest on a $58.00 purchase that had been returned the day after I bought it and the bank had no record of. Luckily they reversed the $2.00 but it's safe to say that I will NOT be using the JCP charge card ever again.

I am a frequent customer at your salon in pearland, tx at the crossings and actually a return customer from many years ago. Since returning to the jcp salon, I have noticed that your wifi in the salon does not work properly. Women are in the salon for hours each visit having their hair done and are not even able to check emails or social media on their phones while there, which makes for a very long and sometimes regrettable visit. It's very tiring to sit in the salon for hours without having wifi. I would lover for not only my visits but the visits of all of your customers to the salon to be a bit more pleasurable. Please consider correcting this issue.

I called on 5-16-17 needing help with resetting pass word to log in to my acc. I normally do all my transactions on line. But had locked myself from acc. E mail said to call customer service. I did and waited 18 min before someone answered. By then I was frustrated, as soon as I started to speak the representative hung up on me (Miriam).
I had no choice but to call back again, and wait another 19 min. Its ridiculous that I had to waste almost 40 min of my time to reset a pass word. Please coach your employees, if they don't know how to deal with customers they have no business in customer service. And believe me I'm so upset that I will be sharing this story with anyone who will listed. This is probably why stores are closing. Customers would rather shop on line and not have to worry about unhappy employees and bad attitudes.

I visited the Saginaw Fashion Square mall and experienced the most horrendous customer service assistance please understand I am a freqyentvshoooer and an a Gild member shopper. The Kids Shoe Suoervisor was extremely incorrigible and unprofessional. My shopping at JCPenny will once again stop as I have stopped in the past due to the lack of professional integriry exhibited by the staff you have trained to represent the best interests of your training management staff. The young lady whom worked with me lacked prof as ion always etiquette and knowledge of your current price practicing. I was embarrassed and rather irritated by her lack of professional demeanor towards me including the cahowr staff in the young men's department whom treated me just as unjust. I was embarrassed and made to feel the hat my business was not needed nor needed. I plan not to shop at your store in Saginaw for many years and will update my Facebook personally with the awful experience I endured on 5-15-17. The kids shore supervisor who was extremely arrogant and Cocky gave me her name quite proudly after she severely insulted me infrint of my sons and at least 7 other customers. Please review the video as you will see how they treated me and my young sons age 9 & 10. I had taken my sons to purchase a new pair of summer basketball shoes and in totally excited to purchase a new pair for their upcoming end of the year field trip. To my full dismay The kids shoe supervisor on duty named Shell Benskwy lacked the skills to provide adequate, quality customer service and chose to instead argue her point in front of my children and many other customers. I am so disappointed with the lack of respect and courtesy that I plan to tell all Inc family of 13 children, 24 grandchildren of the horrible service we personally received by your manager Shell Bensley. There was misleading advertisement costed which she attempted to divert as pricing that was meant to advertise future price deals, my point was at that level was to honor the price that was noted on the section of Nike shoes which promoted the price of $37.50 instead of $59 there were no specified product details listed as well. She also embarrassed me not only in front of young men's staff it also included children's cashiering staff . Shell belittled me and if you review the camera footage of my entire shopping experience with Shell Bensley. She actually touted the fact of support she would receive from her supervisor in the event that she was questioned which caused me to feel further alarmed with your management staff adherence to policy and protocol. I will no longer shop at JCPenny as it was clearly made evident my business was not welcomed nor needed. Please address this very important issue with your Saginaw supervisory staff. Bought Hamilto Beach item #25460 grill, tried to get a price match because Walmart has the same item for $24.94 jcp price is $33.75. Was on the phone for 47 minutes and didnt get anyone. Terrible and then i called back and the recording said the wait time is 27 minutes! Realy! Never again!

Placed an in app purchase today on Mother's Day and went to change address for check out and app said my order had been placed. I tried calling to cancel it immediately and was on hold for over a 1/2 hour. Had to pick son up from work and hang up. Tried calling back several more times immediately when I got home and was on hold for over 45 minutes. Last time I called was on hold for over an hour and then they disconnected me. Called back immediately again and this time call was picked up within three minutes and the operator said no I couldn't cancel it, it had been 4 hours since I placed order. Well if I wasn't on hold for over an hour it would have been cancelled immediately. Horrible customer service. He said the only thing I could do was go to the store it will ship to(mind you the order want even proscessed yet ), and then pick it up and ask for a refund immediately. Wow and you want my business ? Never ever have I had this experience with placing an online or in app purchase with any other company ever!

Fri 4/28/2017: After waiting for 45 minutes talking to the sales clerk and the ware house manager, they asked me to call the 800 number again because they don't know anything until the items arrive at their store.
Fri 5/5/2017: Call 800 numbers. The cust rep told me that the jeans have been shipped. Once they are shipped, they can't tell me when it will arrive at the store. Asked to talk to a e-commerce manager asking them to refund my money since at this point I don't care about the order anymore. The e-commerce manager asked me to come to the store for the refund. I told her that I make 2 trips to the store, 2 phone calls and getting nowhere, therefore I really don't want to come to the store for the refund, there must be something they can do. The e-commerce manager called the store manager (while put me on hold) and assured me that they have processed my refund transaction and I should get a refund of $88.61 within 24 hours
Sun 5/14/2017: I checked my Chase Account and there is still no refund.
At this point, I still need to go to the store to check for my refund. Just show you how ineffient and careless they are with their customer relations.

I ordered a dress on 4/28. I sent it back because of poor stitching on the left side. You received it by UPS on 5/2. I called on 5/3 about my refund and was told 3-5 business days. I called again on 5/9 and they told me no refund was initiated. Are you kidding me! I spoke to a supervisor and she told me I should have it by 5/22. That is totally ridiculous! I called again today and they told me the refund was initiated on 5/11. That is 2 days after I called! Now they are saying by the end of next week. I can assure you that you have lost my business and I am about to call the better business bureau. I have never had to wait that long for a returned item.

I have recently visited Jcpenny located at 200 Market Street Flowood MS 39232. Teresa Brim exhibited horrible customer service skills. She was very rude and her nonverbals were also. She often spoke with a raised tone of voice and provided me with false information on May 10, 2017. When I first encountered her today she looked at me and said "oh I see you're back". She did not give me a chance to gain clarification of my problem and acted as if I were less than her. She walked off as I was speaking and did not help me resolve my problem. She acted as if she knew everything without giving me a chance to speak.

Around 5:30 cst on 05-07-2017. First of all my wife and family have purchase thousand of dollars in products frome this store.
I went to the check out counter. There was two cashier on duty. I waited in line to check out. When she cash out her last customrer i put what i was trying to buy on counter. She just rasied her hands and said "i'm going on breck" told me i'd have to get in the other line. So, i did. Then it seemed to be one of her friends came in about the time i was getting in other line and she waited on them. Like i was "wow'.
I ask the other cashier "why did'nt she check me out if she was checking out friend?"
she said well she was next in line. That not so. Like i said above. I laid my things i was buying on counter. And she told me she was going on breck. But, still waited on friend after she dump me out of her line. Crazy, i got so upset the more i pondered it waiting in the other line. Just told the other cashier. I'll buy what i need somewhere eles. I will never go back into that store. If that somekind of policy or something. Not a good one.

jcpenney.com has been having numerous glitches, and I have been unable to place an online order as I have done so many times in the past. So I called customer service to place my order over the phone. After waiting approximately 1/2 hour, a representative finally came to the phone. She was not interested in hearing about any of the problems that I was having with my online order. When I tried to read my order back to her, to make sure that she had placed it correctly, she impatiently told me to "move on." When I tried to give her an exact address of the store that I wanted the order sent to, she became rude. I decided that the order was not worth such an unpleasant exchange, and decided not to place it. I now have negative feelings towards JCPenney that I did not have previously.

Glades Dr in Myrtle Beach, Sc. She bought a size 6 and I needed a size 7. I went to JCP at the Coast Grand Mall and tried to just exchange them for the exact item. I was told that they had to return the item back to my daughter charge card and I had to purchase them because they are to different stores. (One online and the mall) and my daughter could reimburse me for the cost. I feel this is an awful way to do business being a long time customer. When I order products online from another company and I need to exchange it for some reason I have no problems going to the store where they have all ways exchange the item. BAD BUSINESS POLICY OR PRACTICE AND I AM NOT HAPPY.

There is one woman in the jewelry department who is very difficult to work with! Everyone else there is helpful and friendly, but this one woman is not helpful at all and extremely rude! Every time I go I try to take the appropriate paperwork, but on a couple occasions I have the wrong one and she refuses to help locate my account in any way. And she is rude about it in the mean time. I have purchased multiple pieces of jewelry in the past and hold lifetime care plans, which makes receiving assistance very difficult from this store.
I will go out of my way to avoid going to this store for any reason because of her from now on!
I am complaining about my hair...
I got my hair done at the jcp salon Midland Texas. it was a horrible experience. I've never got my hair done in a salon or ever but I thought it was gonna be good and everything was gonna go good. First they claimed they put in my discount (but they really didn't). She lied and said it was 167 and now it went down to 148 but I was like if it went down to 148 the receipt would say the previous total was 167. You know what I mean? Then after all that I was right and she didn't use my discount and my total went down to 125.80. Anyways then I was checking my receipt and it said "haircut" under my name. But I told the lady I didn't get a hair cut. Only my boyfriend did. So she refunded me that money. My total went down to 113.05. The girl who dyed my hair her name was elly Ramos mind you she was pregnant so she was probably very tired and in a rush to go home. When it was finished my hair came out looking like crap honestly. I held my tongue and I wanted to cry so bad. First because the cashier kept messing up on my receipt and didn't want to put my discount in. Then charged me for a cut i didn't want. Then elly total messed up on my hair.

I purchased a gold chain on Feb 17, 2017 from Spectrum JCP in Tucson, Arizona. On May 1, 2017, as I was walking, my chain fell to the floor. When I picked it up, I noticed that the loop/eye (where the clasp/hook latches onto)was not welded together and that there was a link that had also come off as well. I called the store where I purchased it and the rude associate told me that since I didnt purchase a protection plan then there was nothing I could do. I explained that I didnt want to return, only exchange, and she once again brought up the protection plan. I even explained how the product was defective and in a rude tone, she said no they couldnt exchange it. Im sorry but this is bad business on both sides of the table. Not only do you have rude associates but your business practices are losing you customers. I understand the concept of your protection plan and have bought a few for watches but never have I had a product be defective from you in only two months after purchase where you have refused to exchange it. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and not only am I stuck with this expensive chain that I cant wear, but Im now essentially out the money I saved to buy this chain as well. My family and I have been lifelong shoppers at JCP and now due to this, we wont be. It saddens me that you are treating your customers this way and that we are only numbers to you now, not people. The fact that you could be like this now instead of like the old days is hurtful..shame on you!
