I went to JCPenney today to use some coupons I had received. The clerk said she could find my card. She also said she couldn't use my $10 coupon and the 35% off coupon I had. So I said let's divide it. She couldn't find my card and I had to reapply and I was turned down. I have over an 800 credit rating. Never happened before. She rung up my items and scanned the $10 coupon. She said I had received it. But when I looked closer, it had not come off. She called the manager and she said it couldn't be off of clearance items. Then I guess I couldn't use the 35% off coupon because I didn't have my card. So she finally said they would use the 25% off of the one item I had left. But why couldn't they use the $10 off of this one? It was just ridiculous. I lost about $25 by visiting JCpenny today. What is going on?

She looked my card up and she couldn't find an account for me. Then I applied and I was turned down. I'm a grown woman...wouldn't give it to my parents. They should be able to look it up.
You did not lose anything kiddo, they have policies. You should have had your card. If you gave it to one of your parents for safekeeping, you should have told them that you needed your card.
