photography session
I scheduled a photography session three weeks ago. Since it was online, i wrote in the comment section that i was bringing my 11 year old dog. I took a vacation day for the pictures. I paid to get my hair done for the Christmas pictures. Halfway through my hair appt. Penny's calls to tell me i would have to reschedule my appt. Because the dog pics are taken the last apt. Of the day. I understand not everyone likes dogs which is why i made sure pennys took dog photos *as noted on their site* and also communicated this when i made the appt. It is not my fault they did not notice this until the day of the apt. I would like to be monetarily compensated.

We had a professional headshot appointment prescheduled for 5pm, Saturday, December 2, 2017. We arrived at 4:50pm and was told by the gentleman at the desk, it would be approximately 10 minutes and to take a seat in the waiting room. We waited for 40 minutes and not once did someone come in and let us know our status or any type of acknowledgement. Each employee walked past the room we were left in, looked at us and did not say a word. My husband and I are patient people and we wanted to write to let you know that we would have stayed and waited longer if someone would have acknowledged us and had shown a little common courtesy. We decided to leave and while walking out, the young lady at the desk yelled out to us "you guys are next, my husband replied, very respectfully, if we would have been told our status would have waited. The young lady respond, "well you are next, but you are free to leave if you want".
We were so disappointed. In this day in age where internet companies are taking over retail, sometimes the human to human contact becomes extremely important to keep customers coming back. I was raised shopping at JCPenney and when I heard my husband say, this will be the last he will ever shop in JCPenney's, it broke my heart. I want JCPenney to be around forever. You guys made it through so many challenges along the years. Please implement a customer service revamp so that you do not lose customers. I am still a fan, and will come back. The people at your photo studio were busy and lacked common customer service skills. sephora customer service
This isn't really about jcpennys, but the Sephora inside JCPenney's. I'm someone who loves makeup, I buy new expensive products all the time. I buy so much I'm actually a vib member, and I love shopping there. But the four or five times ive gone to the Sephora in jcpennys in shadow lake the employees have been horrible. I'll wait at the checkout for ten minutes while a worker just walks around and pretends to help other customers. Like they obviously see me and just choose to ignore me while I wait. I understand it can get busy sometimes but when I normally go it's not at all. And it's so angering because I feel like if I'm spending my money here they could atleast check me out, I mean it takes five minutes. And jcpenneys has such amazing customer service and it just sucks that Sephora can't hold up to the same expectation.
st. henderson queen bedding set/ rude customer service on the phone
On Thanksgiving night I ordered this bedding set and it was for 39 99. I got the confirmation email and it said that it was going to be delivered within a couple weeks. But then 2 days later it said it was on backorder. About a week later it said it was still on backorder. Then I got an email saying my order was cancelled and how it was no longer available. Today I looked online and am able to order the same product to be delivered to my house but not for $39.99. I called the customer service number and tried to explain my situation and she continually talked over me and didn't listen to anything I had to say and was very rude the entire conversation. In the end, my situation was not addressed and I believe the phone call made it even worse.
fitting room
I went to the Northlake Mall Jcpenny in Tucker, GA yesterday and became very irritated when I went to an empty fitting room in the lingrie section to try on a dress, and was told by an employee that the fitting room was temporarily closed. You can't just temporarily close a fitting on your own while the store is still open, so I asked where a closer one was she said in the dress area. I go there and the line was long and I had to wait a while to try on dress for my graduation, not to mention that was extra time that I could not afford to waste so I just went to Macy's where the service was much better. After I mentioned that incident to another employee at the same Jcpennys it was clear to me that the employee just did not want anyone to go in that particular fitting room because she had her own MORE important tasks to do. This employee needs to be retrained on customer service.
No wonder the brick and morter stores are in trouble, you discourage people from shopping there. Today (June 13, 2019) I was at the JCP at Tuttle Mall in Columbus, Ohio and there was only one womens's fitting room open in the entire store. Makes it difficult when you are at the other end of the store and the one that was open had all the doors closed! When an associate was asked, she simply said that it was full. Another women told her she was from Circleville, and it was too far to drive back and forth to try on clothes. I told the associate this is ridiculouse and the only response we got was " we don't have anyone to monitor the fitting rooms". Really! do you think we are that stupid, you never have anyone monitoring the fitting rooms. People come and go and there is always a pile of clothes in the fitting rooms. Monitors don't exist! Thats just your excuse not to have to clean the fitting rooms! I dropped my armfull of clothes on the floor at her feet and walked out! I went to Macys and purchased what I needed. At least I could find a fitting room and didn't have some clerk lying to me as to why the fitting rooms were closed! Not everyone wants to shop on line. There are a lot of groups of people other than millenians that have a lot more money to spend and they don't like to shop exclusively on line. I will take my business to other departments stores and botique shops that will cater to my style of shopping and appriciate my business! And don't think this is the only place I will complain about JCP because it's only the first. No wonder you have less than a 2 rating out of 5. You have no idea what the customer wants or how to take care of them. You treat us like we are an inconvience. And most of all, I dont like workers who can not solve a simple problen and then lie to me! jewellery dept.
We shop at Penney's many times a year and have spent a lot of money on jewellery for both my wife and me, not to mention other items from this store. One item purchased a few years back was to us, a very expensive watch. The battery went dead and we were going to do some shopping at the store and thought we would get the battery changed out at the same time, as the store is a little over an hour from our home.
Upon arriving at the store, we approached a jewellery department employee and asked for a new battery to be replaced in the watch. She said after looking at the watch, that it was not purchased at the store so she would not replace the battery. We told her that my wife did purchase the watch here and have had the battery replaced many times before with no trouble. The lady again told my wife she did not buy this watch at this store. We took this as saying my wife is a lier. We became very upset at this, and I ask to talk to the store manager, and she paged him. Upon his approach, I saw him coming towards us but I thought he was maybe a maintenance worker because of the way he was dressed, in faded jeans, a collarless shirt, and a Christmas hat on. This seems very inappropriate for a store manager, but I told him what had transpired and he did not seem to care to much and told us they(Penney's) did not have the time to replace my battery. He said we could leave the watch and return at a later date to pick up the watch. The lady helping us, her story now changes to well as long as I have been here we have not sold that watch anyway. I said, that was a better answer, you just as well called my wife a lier. The manager did not seem bothered by her manners used as a professional sales person representing the store, or calling customers liers. The manager did not seem like he cared either about having unhappy customers and what was going on.
First, we live more than an hour away and second, it only takes about five minutes to change the battery. I know this from the times before when we had it changed here.
I replied to him the store did not mind the time it takes us to decide on an item to purchase, including the looking and trying jewellery on time and taking our money. But now they do not have the time for customer care? He replied, no not right now we don't. There was only one other customer in the department also.
If this is how you treat customers, there are too many other stores and companies more courteous and always willing to help us with services and customer needs. Until resolved, we will not return to Penney's. I now understand why there are so many of your stores closing.

I had an issue with JCP charging my credit card 3x's for a furniture warranty today. I tried for 9 HOURS straight to contact the customer service number. I called 17 times. I was on hold for 40 to 50 minutes each time and then get disconnected and would call back. I even had the option twice to leave a call back # and when they called back & I pressed #1 to chat I was disconnected! When at 4:05 pm someone did answer she could not get through to the furniture dept and had to hang up with me because she would get in trouble for being on the phone to long with me, the customer who needed help! NEVER AGAIN, JCP you lost a good customer
This is a disgrace!
At 5:10 pm a Supervisor credited back my account and was sorry for their error!

On November 20th 2017 I placed an order on jc penny.com my order number is [protected] my order was sent in two packages. I received one pair of panties. The rest of my order was never received. I have called and my order was not found. I asked for a refund for the purchase and was told I could not receive my money back. I have called both UPS and USPS and neither one could locate my package. My tracking number is 1Z691053YW24687047 UPS told me it was dropped of at the post office. I contacted the post office they do not have my order. I am very upset that I feel my money was stolen from me by this company. I would greatly appreciate either what I purchased or my money back. I order online for the convience and this experience is not convenient.a couple of days ago I was on the jcpenny app ordering a pair of earrings . When I went to complete or send order it said that there were technical difficulties - never did it show a confirmation or have me authorize payment so I went ahead and went through the process again and it said thank you for your order. When I was checking my email later I noticed it had gone through 2x and also charged me twice- not happy at all.when I called customer service to cancel they said it was too late. Customer service rep said it happened to her once when paying a bill like it was no big deal. I'm very upset- she said I could return it when it's delivered well that's not convient at all not to mention being charged 2x- it seems like this is something that should b easy to take care of - seems like with all the competition in retail these days and with stores closing that you would want to make your customers happy.

gold and diamond ring being shipped and charged twice
Ok so I buy a ring for my woman on 11/24 and now my account is being charged again for the same ring. The thing is I paid in full for the ring and so JCPenney's finds it okay to go into my account and hold more of my money. I've paid for the damn ring, why do I have to be declined at the gas pump or for my children's baby milk when I'm in line?!?!? Why do you feel the need to hold more of my money for something that got paid for in full. So basically you take money, actually more money out of people's account so you can get interest or use it for a LOAN. It's not your [censor] money put my money back in my account. I will never shop from here again. I will make Facebook post about this til I can't.
xbox one s starter bundle
I purchased the Xbox One S Starter Bundle that stated that 5 video games was included with this bundle however there were no games included. False advertisement. There is nothing extra to me that makes this a starter bundle. I could have gotten a much better deal on just a system and a controller. I am very disappointed because I held JC Penny in high regards when making my purchases. I will be returning this product and will be very skeptical about making future purchases. Today I brought a royal blue the price was $17.49 when I pay I asked the cashier if she can order this size for me the size 18 and half 37/38 she ok and then she told me it's on sale buy one get the other one for 1c I said, ok when I payed the totals came up $53.01. I said it was $17.49 I said, I don't want it they're told me I have to wait until the orders come I can return them. It's not fair for me I am a royal customer I always buy at jcpenney. I ordered a necklace with my daughter's name on it. It is terrible! I can barely make out the name and thats I think only because I know what it is. The description online was way off! Then I call as I just found it on my porch and tell them I refuse it and they say they can't help me! That I am stuck with this piece of junk! I was even willing to exchange it and not get a refund so I can at least be happy with it and for a good price I paid for it. I have never had this problem with jcp.com pr jcpenney stores and I shop there all the time. I need something done with this as this is unacceptable! I get that if I just didn't want it then oh well but this is terrible. It looks terrible!

order delivered to wrong address
I placed and order on 11/22/17 for three women's tops. I received a phone call from a woman in Sonoma, CA that she had received my order. Somehow my shipping city and billing city got changed on my order. When I checked my account it has my correct address for both shipping and billing. I contacted JC Penney and talked with customer service. I contacted customer service at JC Penney and the rep Jenn told me I had to of changed the city when I ordered. I told her why would I do that? She stated she didn't know. I told her all of my information was correct on my account. I also stated it sounds to me like there is a glitch in their system. I asked her how I can get my package redelivered to the correct address? She told me I had to contact UPS and have them redirect it. I contacted UPS and they told me she gave the incorrect information. JC Penney has to submit a claim to have my package redirected. I had already spent one hour trying to get through to JC Penney and another twenty five minutes to get through to UPS.
washer and dryer
I bought a washer and dryer on 11/11/2017 and they supposed to be delivered on 11/28/2017 and they weren't delivered and nobody called to let me know. I have to start investigating what happened, I already have disconnected both washer and water in my house, and now they are telling me that I'm not going to have the appliances until 12/11/2017 now I have to drag back the washer and dryer to connect them again, I very disappointed with the service this company is giving me. No calls or nothing to let me know what's going on. I hope that jcpenney give me something in return for this trouble. My wife is really upset. What you're describing is by no means exclusive to JC Penny. Ultimately you're willing to accept their terms or you're not. If the latter, simply cancel the order and purchase somewhere else.

On 11/30/17 I received notification that my package was delivered. I checked and it did not arrive here. I called customer service to find out what is going on and was on hold for 12 minutes. Then when it was picked up, I had a hard time understanding her, ?something in her mouth, I explained that my package notification said it arrived in Fontana, CA at 1:50pm. The package was in Mesquite, TX from 11/25-11/28. ! 3 days in Mesquite! Then it leaves to arrive in Vernon, CA on to Ontario, CA to the final destination of Fontana, CA. The CSA told me that it was signed for. I asked if it was by me in Garland, TX where I requested delivery? She said no. I told her I want a refund. She raised her voice at me and informed me we just don't give refunds because your package was sent to the wrong place. I told her I will not pay for something that I did not receive. You can clearly see that I did not receive it due to it being in another state! She know who signed for it, think a Johnson again it was hard to understand, and she could see it wasn't; in Texas but told me she had to look into the shipping. I find it hard to believe it takes over 20 of putting me on hold to look into it. I called back and requested for the automative to call me when the next CA was available. Tereishai is the current CSA and is more understanding of my situation. She looks into it and comes back to ask me if she can send me to a supervisor who can help me? :). YES! Helpful, polite CSA are wonderful! So, thank you Tereishai for your polite and helpful assistance. I got Mr. Joe, the floor supervisor, who was AMAZING in my frustrated state. He was able to explain why it went back to CA. and it had to do with the system letting me put my P O BOX in. So, JC PENNY needs to have that looked into. Mr. Joe, I appreciate leaving you with laughter, that is not an easy thing to do with me after being so angry. I sincerely appreciate your assistance, calm manner and your ability to take me from anger to laughter.

I purchased a dining room set on November 4th. I received a phone call from the transport company on Nov 21 to set up a delivery date and time they also stated that they would only be delivering 4 chairs with the dining room set. They said as they were assembling 2 chairs came with the wrong cushion (these 2 chairs were bigger came with the arms) So, on Nov 22 they delivered 1 table and 4 chairs. Well, I calledJC Penny's right after is was delivered about the 2 chairs and they told me the set has been discontinued and I couldn't get the chairs.Really, after all of this. I just moved into my home and purchased this dining room set for Thanksgiving (I was having 8 people over) with only 4 chairs. So, they set up a RA for a pick up notice and still no pick up! arizona boots
I purchased boots from JCPenney that were from Arizona and they are falling apart and not from being worn. The covering is cracking and peeling. They are 2 years old, maybe. Very disappointed in the product since I usually don't spend that much on boots. As you can tell from the photos, I don't wear these boots very often so I can't figure out why the boot is peeling. But I expected them to last longer than what they did.
