I did a car booking dated 6/28/2024 through the KAYAK platform which routed my request over to the Economy bookings.
We booked a car with the booking ID B94766079 by the name of Ramanjit Singh.
Before making the booking, I called the said company on their customer care and clearly mentioned that I want to book a car and my age is 22 years and I possess a valid G licence issued by the Govt of Ontorio.
I was told that there is an additional service fee for young drivers below 25 years of age which is 20 dollars per day, I readily agreed for the same.
I book the car by thoroughly selecting all provided ancillary options like Full coverage. My total bill for the booking was for 596.79 CAD.
Further the car was to be picked from the Airport (Swift, Priceless car rental) and I did called the respective car provider as well before leaving my place, and I was confirmed about the availability of the vehicle.
When I reached airport to pick the car, the center declined to provide me the car, was rude to me and declined to provide any written proof for not providing me the car.
My entire trip was ruined and it my friends & family who made the arrangements for the long weekend were extremely depressed as well.
On top of it, I was told that I would not even be given any refund for my bookings as its company policy to not issue refunds.
It’s a serious fraud and misrepresentation of information. I have selected full coverage and opted to buy whatever additional insurance was required. I have disclosed my age beforehand and I was clearly told the extra fee for my age, which I agreed.
I have found additional customers there, who had similar issues with this company and car provider and I have seen a similar pattern of fraud.
I request you to take this event seriously and I should be adequately compensated for my losses including refund for my money.
Claimed loss: 596.79 CAD as direct loss on Card plus travel expenses (150 CAD) for reaching there plus mental harassment and costs compensating for ruining entire family trip.
Desired outcome: I want my refunds on the cards since I never got any car. Also I want to request you not to promote such fraudulent sites.

Don't let this slide. Report this incident to your credit card company and dispute the charge. Share your experience widely on social media and travel forums to warn others. Seek legal advice if necessary to pursue compensation. Avoid using Kayak and Economy Bookings in the future and opt for more reliable platforms that respect their customers. Stand firm and demand accountability.
