Contract fraud.
On December 27, 2023, my colleague was repairing the car at Toyota. He called me to pick him up. Later I saw the 2024 version of rav4. The salesman Jordan received us and test drove a gray car. rav4, then I told him I wanted to buy a white Rav4 for $31,700. His manager said he would ask his Jack. His manager Jack came to the showroom and said that the white Rav4 would cost at least $32,700. We disagreed, so we left the auto shop. Half an hour later, my colleague received a call from salesman Jordan. He said that Manager Jack had agreed to $31,700 after consideration. So we headed back to the car shop after lunch. Jordan printed out the quote for $31,700 and asked me to sign it. After I signed, he took me to finance Nick, who signed the contract for me and paid the down payment of US$12,000. He also said that if I get a loan, the total price can be reduced by another US$1,000. And he said that the vehicle can be maintained for free every 5,000 kilometers. Then he printed the contract and I checked the amount and signed it. Then when Nick signed, he said he had signed it in the wrong place and asked me to sign it after printing. He gave me a newly printed contract for me to sign because I had already signed it.. I had passed it once, so I signed it without checking the contract again. In fact, he had already changed the price of a contract. I used my credit card to pay the down payment of $12,000 without knowing it. A few days later, when I brought the contract to the bank, saying that I wanted a loan of $18,700, the bank staff asked me to take out the contract. I opened the contract and found out that the contract had been changed, adding $995 for road hazards, $500 for title fees, and a service contract. The fee is $1,973 and the maintenance agreement fee is $3,495, a total increase of approximately $7,000.
When I bought the car, my colleague and I were at the scene and didn't hear him say any additional payments were made.
On January 9th, I went to Nick's office with my colleague and asked him why this was the case. We did not agree to such a contract. We recorded the conversation in his office. He said that we should first pay the amount on the completed contract, including the increase. Then consider returning some money to us appropriately. They also asked me to go to their website to register as a member and get a repayment account number. After I registered, I found that the amount had increased by $500. The next day, at 9 a.m. on January 10, 2024, my colleague and I came to the salesman Jordan to ask for the quotation that I signed at that time. He said that he would ask their manager Jake, and Jake came over and told me that he would give OTD price was $31,700. He didn't know why Nick added so much. I was recording Jake and Jordan.
That’s what happened, as my colleagues can attest.
We went to the show room for take back the OTD praise I had signed. They told me to find a lawyer. I called 911,and police officer gave us the case record.
I bought a Highlander from them in 2020 and it was the worst experience ever!
I bought a Highlander from them in 2020 and it was the worst experience ever! My "New Car" had 650 miles on it. Stay away from this dealer, it's not worth it.
Very dishonest, and have no ethical boundaries
Very dishonest, and have no ethical boundaries. Stole my $20,000 deposit and lied to me taking advantage of my situation. Apparently they have a reputation for this, and I found out too late. Hopefully this will help someone.

Every time I bring my vehicle in for service, usually around 8 am, they just park it and let it sit there all day. I have this app that tells me when the doors are locked, unlocked, doors opened, windows down, hatch back up or hood up. They only start working on it in the late afternoon, right around the time I'm supposed to pick it up. And then I still have to wait for an hour or even longer. They did the same thing to me yesterday, and their excuse was that they didn't have the part. They claimed they got the part at 3 pm. Well, my car has been there since 8 am this morning, but they didn't start working on it until after 3 pm today. I specifically told the service person that I need it back by 4 pm. I have 2 dogs that I bring with me to work, and they inconvenienced me yesterday and today. It's like they don't care about my time at all. They do this every single time I bring my car in for service!

Their previous Finance Manager, ***, is a fraud who should be put in jail, and they should be held accountable for his actions. He deliberately lied to me while getting me financing, even though my credit score was over 700. At first, he claimed that SETF gave me a high rate, but they could use many coupons to lower it. However, just 5 minutes later, he said the coupon was rejected because I had lived in 3 different addresses within 4 years, and they wouldn't know where to find the truck if I defaulted. Turns out, that was all BS. He also promised that if I made 12 on-time payments, I could come back after a year and get a lower rate from SETF. But now he doesn't work there anymore because he was involved in shady stuff. Just like all car dealers, your dealership is also very fraudulent.
I'm really mad 'bout the misleading I got when I bought the First Mile Maintenance and Service agreements
I'm really mad 'bout the misleading I got when I bought the First Mile Maintenance and Service agreements. They told me these things would last for 3 years after I got my 2017 used Hyundai. But guess what? They actually expired in just one year! Can you believe it? I wasted around $3,000 on these useless contracts. Let me tell ya, if you're financing a car here, don't bother with any warranties on top of the car price. Their finance guy will sweet talk ya into thinking you need 'em, even if you don't want 'em. They'll say you gotta have 'em, just to cover their backs. I did call 'em up within a week of buying the car and asked 'bout the warranties. They told me it'd be covered for 3 years, but the warranty company says it's only 1 year. Can you imagine? Would I have spent all that money if I knew it'd be such a short time? No way!
I went to Keith Pierson and was looking for a Rav4 XLE Premium that was fully loaded
I went to Keith Pierson and was looking for a Rav4 XLE Premium that was fully loaded. The salesman showed us two Rav4s, claiming they were both premium and fully loaded. The price was $43,043, and I thought it was a good deal, so I didn't hesitate to buy it. Before leaving, I asked about the return policy, and the salesman said there was a 72-hour window to return the car if I didn't like it.
When I got home and had a chance to look at the paper they posted on the car window, I was shocked. The car was just a basic XLE with a convenience package. It only cost $28,000, and with the package, the total went up to $33,000. What made me mad was the additional dealer markup (ADM) of $10,000, which brought the price up to $43,000. I thought I was getting a good deal and a big discount because they lowered the monthly payment, but it was still overpriced by $5,000.
I was really upset when I saw the difference between the basic XLE and the premium XLE. I called the dealership to see if I could return the car, but they told me that according to Florida policy, once I took it home, I couldn't return it anymore. I talked to the salesman, but he kept insisting that it was a premium XLE, even though it was clear that it wasn't. With just the $28,000 price tag, you could tell it wasn't premium. They lied so much, and I ended up overpaying by $5,000.
I had to trade in the car at another dealership to get a real premium XLE, and the price difference was significant. They only bought the two-day-old car for $30,000, compared to the $37,500 I paid at Keith Pierson Toyota.
The issue was with my salesperson
The issue was with my salesperson. After seeing a car I liked, and well into my appointment, he began to mess with me, withholding information (like the dealership fee) and lying about what the managers said. His behavior was disrespectful, frustrating, and time-wasting. Faced with these tactics, I realized I couldn't proceed. He seemed pleased as he stood up to bid farewell. His actions felt abusive. Reflecting on it, I noticed he became anxious when I asked questions during his presentation of the car's features, disrupting his control. Attempts to smooth things over failed. Their car-buying process was opaque, seemingly designed to their advantage. They fixated on my trade-in and demanded a credit check before showing their car, which wasn't even ready for a test drive. My pre-visit texts were ignored, and upon arrival, I found the cars inaccessible behind a locked gate. In response to my treatment, the Piersons seemed intent on causing further emotional distress.
I had a bad experience with Keith Pierson Toyota, Inc
I had a bad experience with Keith Pierson Toyota, Inc. They kept bothering me and lying to me, and they kept sending me false ads in my email. I went to the dealership to get the deal they advertised in the email, but they gave me the runaround. They lied about the email that said I could get a 2022 Camry LE for $379 per month, including dealer fees. They first tried to say it was a lease, but I showed them the email and proved it wasn't. Then they said they didn't even have that car on the lot yet. After that, they said they couldn't give me that deal on a new Camry. They said my payment would be at least $450 or more. They tried to push me into buying a new Corolla for $400 per month, which was more than the deal for the Camry in the email. So I left. A few days later, I got the same email again. This time, I asked about it through email, and they said the car would be on their lot in 12 days. Then my dad asked about the same car for me, and when he called the dealership, they told him they would have the car I wanted on the lot the next day. But the next day, they called him and said they had sold the car. This upset my dad because he knew I really wanted that car for the advertised deal. Then they tried to say they couldn't even do that deal. They said the new Camry LE is a $40,000 car and told my dad that he and I were difficult to deal with. I wonder why? Maybe because we won't let them cheat us! I looked up the MSRP for a new Camry LE 2022 model, and it's about $27,000. So all I can say is that they lost a loyal customer. They need to remember that there are other car lots around here. I just paid off my 2017 Corolla, and I have excellent credit, but they missed out on that.
I went to Toyota Keith Pierson Service Department because I have an issue on my **** Toyota Sequoia
I went to Toyota Keith Pierson Service Department because I have an issue on my *** Toyota Sequoia. I am hearing a *** while I am driving at 15 to 30 mph. They recommended replacing the *** right axle bearing and doing alignment. I requested to give me the old bearing and parts they removed, which they did not comply with. How do I know that they replaced the bearing? I already lost my trust in them. After they repaired it, I was driving home and I am still hearing a ***. It means they misdiagnosed my vehicle and never corrected the issue. They charged me $1,264.05, which they should refund. After two days, I came back and told them that the *** is still there. The second time I went there, they recommended replacing all four tires and alignment and balancing them, which I did, and the issue is still there. This time they want to repair the rear axle right bearing and it's not guaranteed the issue will be corrected. Why am I going to pay another $1,264.05? One more thing, I went to *** to do wheel alignment on my tires and they told me that nothing is wrong with the rear right axle bearing. The *** recommended checking the differential since they don't do repairs on that part. They recommended a company that is an expert and certified to check the differential. Toyota Keith Pierson Service Department misdiagnosed and never corrected the issue. They should refund my $1,264.05. The service advisor is very rude. They don't respect their customers and customer satisfaction. I told them not to call me because I am not coming back there just to argue with them unless they refund my money. In my opinion, that is a scam and a lie. The person involved in this process is the service advisor (***) and his son, who is using his dad's name. Service Director (***) Service Director (***).
I never seen such bad customer service and bad treatment of customer as I seen at ***
I never seen such bad customer service and bad treatment of customer as I seen at ***. Forget the commercial that they proudly wave across television showing how good they are to customers...IT'S NOT TRUE in my opinion. I never owned a Toyota, and went there with my Son, who bought three(3), I decided to try it. I chose Keith Pierson because it was close to my home, At first, the entrance was nice and people were very friendly, but of course they changed. I ended up buying a car, one of which I wasn't happy with, I drive a 2016 Cadillac, so it was not the excellence I was used to. Here's the kicker, after driving the car for almost a month I was called back to the dealership. Please note, I had been back to the dealership a few times to have my window tinted, I received a better rate for a lien holder when I went back to sign papers, NO one said anything to me about anything being wrong. Until that day...I received a call from the manager asking me to come in, I asked questions but was not told anything. After the call I started making some calls, first I found out the check I gave as a down payment was not cashed, my car was not paid off, and the lien holder stated they did not receive anything from Keith Pierson, that the account was established by the Pierson's account but no one has sent the loan information. Keith Pierson wanted MORE money from me! We had a contract and they had my car and a trade-in car, and they allowed me to have their car for under a month. They should be ASHAMED. I took my trade-in car and my check, and went to a Cadillac dealer. I can't believe they would treat a customer this way, all because they wanted another $1500.00 dollars, and PLUS I was paying more for the car. On my way out I heard other customers very unhappy, screaming their heads off. Keith Pierson, keep treating customers this way and you will reap what you sow.
I went to Keith Pierson Toyota on June 27
I went to Keith Pierson Toyota on June 27. My car had a warning light on the dashboard that said "*** in a safe place," and the red *** light would stay on. I took it in on Sunday and met *** in the service department, who was rude and not friendly. He didn't seem to care about what I was saying and even said, "I've never heard of that before." He was dismissive. I told him I would pick up my car the next day and he sent me to *** in the service department. *** was slightly better but still not very welcoming. It seems like they lack customer service training. I told *** the same thing, and he said they would figure out the problem and call me later. Later on Saturday, I received a call from *** saying I needed new rotors, new pads all around, and a brake flush, which would cost $1,000. However, I had recently bought the car and saw the previous service records online, which showed that the pads had been replaced just six months earlier. I declined the service and asked them to put the car back together. I took it to another brake shop, and they inspected the car and confirmed that I only needed rotors in the back, not the front. I got the rotors replaced and was satisfied, but then the *** light came on again. I took it to another Toyota dealer and showed them the recorded warning light on my phone. They agreed to take a look and later informed me that my car wasn't safe to drive due to a problem with the braking system. They discovered that I had a bad brake booster, which makes it very difficult to press the brake pedal and can be dangerous. Pads and rotors were mentioned, but it turned out to be a brake booster issue. I'm not sure if it's laziness or incompetence, but either way, it's not good for my safety, my family's safety, or the safety of others on the road. I will NEVER bring my car to Keith Pierson again, and I plan to keep my Highlander for the next 7-10 years. This is unacceptable and unforgivable. Please don't contact me about returning or bringing it in. Don't bother replying. If you didn't care then, don't pretend to care now.
Keith Pierson Toyota was a complete opposite to what I used to believe
Keith Pierson Toyota was a complete opposite to what I used to believe. I used to love the service department for my old car. I often recommend my friends to go there for their Toyota cars. My trust to this dealership was wrong in the case of buying a car on April 25th. This was supposed to be a visit for a discussion to value my car for a future purchase. I was never buy a car without someone with me. The problem I encountered was that the sales person Ms. T stated there was a blind spot warning sound but no light on the side mirror. I asked her if what she mean was a line departure warning but she insisted that it was a blind spot monitoring. Secondly the financing supposed to be for 6 years and no payment for 6 months during the COVID 19. Instead, they put 78 months financing and sent the bill one month after the date of purchase. I had to make a payment by June 6th. Mr B also told me that in 13 years he works for Keith Pierson they have never give 6 months with no payment. Although in Keith Pierson advertisement from my email it stated about the 6 months no payment event. Third problem : they put the monthly payment $10 more than what I was told and they give me the highest interest despite of my excellent credit score. I received an email said that they gave 0% financing to a qualified customer. In this case, my question was what a qualified customer mean on their terms?. I addressed all of the above problem, but I was just too late because I signed the paper. There was no solution nor kindness I received. When i addressed the blind spot monitoring, they told me if I want one I have to buy the more expensive model and told me I want to pay less but get more. Which in this case I was just asking because I was told there was a blind spot monitor. ( I read that the LE series also has an optional blind spot monitoring). Then about the length of my finance - the man who spoke beside Ms. T told me the amount of payment they offer was for 6 years which I assume is 72 months and on paper it become 78 months with the highest interest they have. Not just that, I received the bill one month after the date of purchase. I brought this problem to Mr. B. First, about the length of the finance : he told me I would not able to afford to pay for 72 months because it would be higher payment per month ( he had never asked about it on our conversation) Second : I asked him why he give me the highest interest in their chart when my credit score was excellent. Mr.B said it was because of the 72 months finance. And this had never discussed with me before the paper signing. I tried to brought the problem again few days later when I found another discrepancy between the mileage on the paper and actual mileage when I drove out the lot. Mr. C (I was told he was the Finance Manager) said the exact same thing about the interest, but he said he could not explain about the mileage. And he could not help because I signed the paper. Legally, I understand their points. But I wish this dealership can make their customers feel safe to make a big purchase even when the customer does not have a knowledge of the paperwork. I know there are some good dealerships out there because I found 2 of them. Although my review might not make any difference with Keith Pierson Toyota sales, I just want to warn future customers to be prepare to : -- record the conversation deal they say to you. Record the name. -- take a picture or take every scratch paper they show you. -- do not shop when you have a limited time frame. -- And as I had to remember myself at that time : DO NOT sign without checking if there are discrepancies. I had a very honest and good experience with one dealership 6 month prior and made me not aware that there are some which are not trustworthy like this Keith Pierson Toyota. Please be careful and always focus to the numbers before you sign. So many things was off after I read the paper at home. It was a very disappointing experience and I wish I read the articles on "what to do and not to do when you buy a car" before this purchase.
I tried to use the Costco Car Buying program and picked the car I wanted on Costco's website
I tried to use the Costco Car Buying program and picked the car I wanted on Costco's website. I was directed to Keith Pierson Toyota, a participant in the Costco program, and their online sales representative contacted me. The Costco program has 3 phases: 1. Use the Costco online portal to choose the desired car. 2. Find the actual car at a participating dealership. 3. Costco arranges the price with the dealership, resulting in a "no haggle" price. When I arrived at Keith Pierson, I showed my Costco membership card to the online sales representative and he said, "ok, great." However, the sales representative completely ignored the fact that I was there to purchase a vehicle through the Costco Car Buying program. They started haggling over the price, which is not supposed to happen without Costco's involvement. Another issue arose with my trade-in. The sales representative used cliches to criticize my trade-in and justify a low offer. This tactic is patronizing. I don't need them to tell me about my car's age and mileage; I already know that. They also held onto my keys, trying to sell me a non-Costco priced Corolla that I didn't want. I had to ask for my keys back to leave. I wanted to look at three vehicles: Corolla Hatchback, Rav4, and Highlander, in specific colors and styles through the Costco portal. However, they only showed me the Corolla and never the car I selected online. They could have informed me over the phone that they didn't have the car I wanted and when it would be in stock. An honest person would have done that, like the sales representative from Subaru. I wasn't shown a Rav4 or a Highlander either. On the lot, I saw a Corolla hatchback and a Rav4. Keith Pierson Toyota added $5000 of pure profit to the MSRP of a Corolla and $7000 to a Rav4. These fees are listed as A.D.M., which means Additional Dealer Markup. If you're buying a Toyota manufactured in Japan, like the Corolla, you should pay MSRP or slightly less. Period. They added unnecessary items like pin stripes, nitrogen tires, care package, and tinting to the A.D.M. These items provide zero value to the customer. The pin stripes are just decals that look ridiculous. I don't want anything on the Toyota paint that wasn't applied by Toyota in Japan. The same goes for the "Keith Pierson" decal and license plate frame. I just want a specific car made in Japan. The salesperson tried hard to sell me a Corolla, but a Corolla sells itself. Anyone buying a Corolla knows what they're getting. It's a reliable, fuel-efficient car at a decent price. When we returned to the dealership after test driving the wrong car, they presented me with a non-Costco price. I reminded them that I was a Costco buyer and the price magically dropped $5000. Who would pay over $26,000 for a Corolla? The listed price at Keith Pierson was $29,000. The most fully-equipped Corolla on Toyota's website tops out at $26,000. I wanted a base model in the range of $20,500-$22,000, but the dealership made the process unpleasant, so I walked away. "Forgetting" that I was a Costco buyer allowed me to see the pricing sheet for an average person, which was hilarious. They added fees like a $799 Doc fee, title and transfer fee, and non-tax fees. I'm paying cash, so I can handle the paperwork myself and get my veterans discount at the DMV. I don't need a secretary to handle it. I'm not paying Toyota's fees or sales tax since I'm from Oregon. I showed them that it's cheaper for me to buy the car in Oregon and have it shipped to Florida than pay Florida's sales tax. The whole interaction was unpleasant, disrespectful, and patronizing. I would never do business with Keith Pierson after seeing how they operate. They didn't have the car I wanted, changed too much, and their offer was insulting. They reduced the price $5000 right in front of me after I reminded them I was a Costco Car Buyer. The worst part was that they ran Keith Pierson commercials non-stop while wasting my time in the showroom. They even exploited their own children in the ads, which is unacceptable. If you want a Toyota, buy elsewhere. Hopefully, in the future, we can buy cars directly from the manufacturers and eliminate the need for middlemen who only raise prices for consumers.

I feel like I got taken advantage of at Keith Pierson Toyota, Inc
I feel like I got taken advantage of at Keith Pierson Toyota, Inc. because I'm 73 and don't know much about buying cars. They kept promising me a $100 monthly payment, but that was far from the truth. They sold me a car that needed $2801.21 worth of repairs. They even claimed they couldn't figure out the issues because it was a Ford. They showed me a sticker on the car that said their service department had inspected it and everything was working fine. That was a bunch of lies! They told me to go to a Ford dealership because they couldn't handle a Ford. I believe they should pay for the repairs themselves and they probably could have fixed it if they wanted to.
About two years ago, I leased a 2018 Toyota from Keith Pierson Toyota
About two years ago, I leased a 2018 Toyota from Keith Pierson Toyota. In June, I received a buyout price from Southeast Toyota Lease Company and decided to purchase the vehicle. I had a good relationship with the salesperson, ***, who helped me with the leasing process. I called her and she told me to come in so she could assist me. I called her because I wanted her to receive the commission. I went to the dealership and was taken to an office with the financial representative. Papers were coming at me quickly, and I admit that I signed the bottom line. However, what they charged me for was clearly fraudulent. I trusted them, and I believe they have an obligation to inform customers that they could simply send a check to the leasing company for the buyout price, without having to pay a dealer fee of $799. Additionally, I should have only paid the amount offered for the car, not more. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I am a senior and a woman.
Keith Pierson Toyota service center
Keith Pierson Toyota service center. I was frustrated and worried about what could have caused this sudden breakdown. I spoke to *** again and expressed my concerns. He assured me that they would take a look at the vehicle and figure out what went wrong.
A few days later, I received a call from the service center. They informed me that the radiator had actually been leaking coolant, which caused the engine to overheat and ultimately led to the breakdown. They apologized for not catching this issue during the initial inspection and assured me that they would fix it promptly.
I appreciated their honesty and willingness to rectify the situation. They provided me with a detailed breakdown of the parts and labor costs for the radiator repair. The prices seemed fair and reasonable, and I agreed to proceed with the repairs.
The service center kept me updated throughout the process and completed the repairs within the promised timeframe. When I picked up my vehicle, it was running smoothly and the radiator issue was completely resolved.
Overall, despite the initial oversight, I was satisfied with the service I received from Keith Pierson Toyota service center. They were professional, communicative, and took responsibility for their mistake. I would consider bringing my vehicle back to them for future maintenance and repairs.
