Worst service department ever! We had an appointment and they didn't even look at our car for 5 days!
I went to this dealer to check out a Jeep Cherokee
I went to this dealer to check out a Jeep Cherokee. I didn't like the offer, but everyone was nice during the process, so no deal happened. A month later, I started getting letters from banks about a Dodge Ram that I didn't even try to buy. They're using my info on loan applications that aren't mine, for other people. Whether it's by accident or on purpose, identity theft is not okay, no matter what. I called a few times and I'm waiting for them to call me back to sort this out.
I hit up this dealer 'bout a whip I peeped in their stash
I hit up this dealer 'bout a whip I peeped in their stash. I asked if the price they showed was "the price" and the rep was like, "Yeah, it is." So I tried to drop a deposit with my credit card, but they said I gotta do it in person. I mentioned that I was coming from far away and wanted to double-check the price. She confirmed once again that it was the same. When I got to the dealership, I asked to see the person I chatted with, but they sent me to someone else. I tried to drop the deposit and bounce, but he kept disappearing to check with the boss. At the end of it all, the manager straight up denied the price I confirmed twice and wouldn't let me talk to the person I spoke to on the phone. Total waste of my precious time, man. Like others have said, watch out for this joint.
Security Dodge: Stay away
Security Dodge: Stay away. After some negotiating with a super friendly salesperson, I was quoted $299 by the Dealer Manager for a Renegade for my daughter. After four trips back and forth to the dealer, we went to pick up the car at 8:30 pm only to be told they couldn't lease it to me for less than $318. Maybe $19 a month doesn't sound like much but that adds up to an extra $741 out of my pocket over the life of the lease. Obviously I asked why I was only finding out now as we were picking up the key. Finance guy lied to my face telling he tried to call me. I showed him my phone with no contacts/no messages. He said, "Oh it must have been the home number." They don't have my home number... hmmm. Just a really bad business practice but I understand the technique: keep the fish on the line as long as you can and just hope the he accepts the new price. Dealer manager wouldn't make eye contact on the way out and our sales person seemed so surprised. I declined the car. If it happened to us it can happen to you. Buyer beware.
On May 13th, I went to Security Dodge and bought a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500
On May 13th, I went to Security Dodge and bought a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500. I noticed that the car was missing a small plastic piece under the back seat. I told the dealership about it and they said they would fix it before I picked up the car on the 16th. When I went back on the 16th, the piece still wasn't replaced. I told the salesman and they gave me a "We Owe" slip and said they would order the piece for me. But I never got the replacement. I called Security Dodge multiple times between May 29th and June 5th, but no one called me back. I even contacted the parts department, but they said they never ordered the piece. They said they would look into it, but never called me back. On June 20th, I called again and spoke to someone in sales who transferred me to the parts department. "Amit" said he would personally fix the issue. I sent him some emails about the missing piece on June 20th, June 25th, and June 26th. But I never heard from "Amit" or anyone else at the dealership after that. On August 4th, I sent a letter to the used car manager with pictures of the missing piece and a copy of the "We Owe" slip, but they never replied. Since June 26th, I haven't heard anything from the dealership about the missing piece. It seems like they either forgot or are hoping I'll just forget about it. I don't trust anything Security Dodge says, whether it's spoken or written. As of today (8/22), I still haven't received the missing piece or any response from Security Dodge. I will never do business with them again and I'll tell my friends and family to stay away too. I'm giving them 2 stars only because of the price of the car. The missing 3 stars are because of their lack of integrity, trustworthiness, and service.
Is bait and switch still a thing?
Is bait and switch still a thing? Had a horrible experience at Security Jeep recently. We were searching for a specific Jeep Wrangler and spoke to someone from Security on the phone last Friday. She was nice and gave us a price that met our expectations. She even texted us a price range for the lease. The next day, we told her we were coming in but wanted to check if the vehicle was still in stock since we lived 90 minutes away. She said it was and we agreed to meet around noon. When we arrived, we were told she was just an Internet salesperson and we would have a different salesperson. We took a test drive and were ready to lease the vehicle, assuming the price would be close to what we were previously quoted. However, the sales guy came back with a price that was $200 more per month and an additional $3,000 down, even after showing him the quote we received the day before. We expected the price to be a bit higher, but this quote was outrageous. I immediately asked for a Sales Manager, who gave us meaningless excuses after we drove 90 minutes to get there. I told him I expected the quoted price or something close. He became rude and refused to budge. We left and will never return to Security Jeep. I recommend you do the same. This dealership's practices are unacceptable, and there are better Jeep dealerships out there. I discovered many terrible reviews for Security Jeep, and now I understand why. I called back two days later to give them a chance to make things right, but the Customer Relations person's apology fell on deaf ears. It's been over a week, and we haven't heard back from anyone. No one should be treated like this. I thought bait and switch was a thing of the past with the availability of real costs on the internet, but Security Jeep clearly didn't get the memo. Unless you enjoy unfair treatment, shop elsewhere for your next Jeep.
Warning: Dishonest and Deceptive Sales Tactics
Warning: Dishonest and deceptive sales tactics by Michelle S, Paul L, & TJ. Found a vehicle listed online and requested info from the dealer. They listed it for $25,500 on various sites, including all fees except tax and registration. After back-and-forth communication, they tried to add a $1,000 loyalty fee and another $1,000 for not financing with them. They promised to work something out but kept changing the price. Finally, they offered to waive one fee but not the other. They claimed a $500 registration fee, which I knew was incorrect. Other dealers confirmed no extra fee for out-of-state registration. I'll be reporting this to the ComplaintsBoard.com and USAA.

The car's sticker price that we talked about with the salesman wasn't the same as the selling price on the invoice when they gave it to us
The car's sticker price that we talked about with the salesman wasn't the same as the selling price on the invoice when they gave it to us. The finance person also made us initial and sign empty contracts and bills of sale, and they gave a reason that wasn't acceptable for the price difference. The sticker price was $39,785 before fees, tax, extra options, and the selling price before fees, tax, and extra options was $40,299.
I got a paper with a price for fixing my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee - *** brakes, including rotors and pads, brake fluid change, Coolant
I got a paper with a price for fixing my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee - *** brakes, including rotors and pads, brake fluid change, Coolant changed, and Fuel injection cleaning for $1000. I talked to a service agent and told them the paper was wrong, and they said it would actually cost $2385. I told them that's not what the paper said, and they said they would take off 10% or $238.5, so the total would be $2146.50. That's $1146.50 more than what was written on the paper.
My car been in service for almost two months now 'cause they waitin' on a part
My car been in service for almost two months now 'cause they waitin' on a part. They said they fixed it, but my car shut off on me while I was drivin'. They didn't give me no paperwork when they gave the car back. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and 'bout to pop any day now with my first baby. The 4x4 system is the part they gotta replace. The service department keeps sayin' it's drivable, but it ain't if it snows. I don't feel safe drivin' my car while pregnant or puttin' my newborn in it. I need this fixed real quick.

I left my car at Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on a Thursday at 7:00pm on 8/26
I left my car at Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on a Thursday at 7:00pm on 8/26. After 5 days of silence, I decided to call on Monday, August 30th. Unfortunately, they had no information about my car. I was passed around from one voicemail to another until the service manager finally called me back. When I mentioned that I didn't purchase the car there, he said there was nothing he could do for me because they were backed up.
On Wednesday, I received a text from the technician working on my car, saying that they were tightening the suspension. However, I brought it in for a noise under the hood, not for the suspension. I've texted the technician multiple times, but haven't received any response. When I called, I was informed that no one could speak to me until 4:00pm. It has now been 9 days, and I haven't even received a phone call to update me on the situation.
Is there someone who can assist me? I am a kidney transplant patient and would greatly appreciate any help.
I'm unhappy with your agency for not adhering to the laws.
I'm unhappy with your agency for not adhering to the laws. They engage in deceptive trade practices and act unethically. I urgently brought my vehicle to this dealership on 8/17 due to a power and steering loss. I requested a receipt as it was my first visit, but the Service Advisor refused. I authorized only recall-related work. However, they drove my car for 27 miles, claiming a road test was needed to decide if it required a fuel injector or cylinder head. Later, they billed me with incorrect repair dates and mileage, stating they drove only 1 mile, which is untrue. I feel scammed.
In June , we bought a certified preowned Dodge Durango from Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
In June , we bought a certified preowned Dodge Durango from Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Fast forward to July , the car refused to start, leaving us no choice but to have it towed to the dealership. We initially tried another Dodge dealership, but they wouldn't accept the car. Frustrated, we made numerous calls to the service center and various managers, hoping to discuss the warranty of the vehicle. Unfortunately, nobody bothered to return our calls. Determined to find answers, my husband and I drove to the dealership after work. We knew the car had a warranty, but we weren't sure which one.
Thankfully, the dealership agreed to work on the car. They kept it for two days and ended up replacing the starter and fuel pump. On August 11, just a few days later, the car failed to start again. We had to pay for another tow to the dealership so they could diagnose the problem. It turned out that the fuel pump was defective once again, and they replaced it for the second time. We finally got the car back in the evening.
Everything seemed fine until August 15 when we ran errands without any issues. However, when we tried to start the car later, it simply wouldn't cooperate. As of today, the car has been sitting at the dealership, and we haven't received any communication from them.
I bought a jeep on April 10, but there was a problem, so we returned it on 4/22
I bought a jeep on April 10, but there was a problem, so we returned it on 4/22. They had it for a whole week. Then, in July, the ignition had an issue, but they didn't have a loaner car until August . They kept my jeep for over a month, waiting for the part. They told me that the extended warranty I bought for over $3,000.00 didn't cover the repair, which costs nearly $1,000.00. They only gave me a $150 discount on the repair. It's only been 3 months since I bought this jeep, and it has already had 3 major problems. I shouldn't have to pay for this repair. If we didn't have a loaner car for the past month, the cost of renting a car would have been extremely high. They said the car went over the mileage limit for the original used car warranty, but if we could have brought it in July, this wouldn't have been an issue. We picked up the car on 10/1, but it still has the transmission problem we've been complaining about since 4/22. The car is still at the dealership.
I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee high altitude in December
I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee high altitude in December . It was a 2018 model with a lot of miles on it. First, I wanna say that the salesperson was really pushy and made it seem like someone else was interested in buying the car, but when it came to me wanting to buy it, he disappeared. Turns out he was actually an employee of the dealership. But that's not really important. When I bought the used car, I asked them to replace the tires because they looked worn out. They assured me that the tires were fine. Now, a year and two months later, with only a few miles of normal driving, my jeep has problems with the air intake in the fuel lines, a bad coil, and it needs new spark plugs, a tune-up, and new tires. Even with the extended warranty I bought, they won't cover the spark plugs, the tires, or the tune-up. Now I feel like I was tricked into buying this jeep. They lied to me about the tires being okay (now they're saying they're not), and my engine has all these issues because of the air intake. I love Jeeps, but I'll never buy a car from these people again. The staff is so dishonest and it's just not right.
I bought a 2016 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership on February 9th
I bought a 2016 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership on February 9th. On July 19th, I brought the vehicle in for caliper and brake replacement, as well as engine lifters, rockers, and camshaft replacement. I also mentioned that the check engine light was coming on. They contacted me later and said the ignition coils needed to be replaced. When I bought the vehicle, I also purchased a warranty package that was supposed to cover all of these repairs. The vehicle stayed at the dealership until August 20th. When I picked it up, there was engine oil all over the floor and the brakes hadn't been bled properly, making it hard to stop. They told me the brakes just needed to be broken in and driven on. On September 10th, I returned the vehicle to the dealership for the same braking system issues they had previously fixed, as well as the same engine issues caused by the lifters and rockers. They said the parts they had put in were defective. I also mentioned that the ignition coils hadn't been replaced, even though they should have been covered by the warranty. I didn't get the vehicle back until October 15th. When I checked the work order, they had replaced everything except the ignition coils, claiming they weren't covered by the warranty. I had confirmed with the warranty company that they were covered. On October 17th, my vehicle caught fire while I was driving, just two days after picking it up from the dealership. It was declared a total loss. I contacted the dealership, but they showed no remorse and said there was nothing I could do.
On September 14, I bought a 2017 certified pre-owned Ram **** from Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
On September 14, I bought a 2017 certified pre-owned Ram *** from Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. When I drove the vehicle home, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light came on, indicating that all four sensors were not registering tire pressure and that I needed to service the system. The next day, I informed my Salesmen about the issue, and they passed on the information to the service department. They assured me that they would fix the problem and said they would contact me to schedule an appointment. However, a week and a half passed, and I didn't hear anything from the dealer. I decided to email them on Sep 24, 2021, but I didn't receive a response. I made several calls, but still no reply.
Finally, after multiple attempts, the Used car sales manager got back to me and told me to bring the vehicle in for repairs, mentioning that I should mention his name. I followed his instructions and brought the vehicle to the garage for repairs. However, I was then informed that the necessary parts were not in stock, and they would contact me once they had them. Months went by, and despite my repeated calls, I didn't receive any updates. In December, the manager informed me that two of the sensors had arrived, but the rest would only be available in February. Unfortunately, that was the last I heard from them. All my emails and calls went unanswered.
In July, I took my car in for an oil change and took the opportunity to inquire about the parts to the manager. Surprisingly, he had no recollection of who I was and criticized me for waiting a year to bring up the issue. He suggested that I should have physically come in to check on the progress and claimed that he believed the parts had arrived but failed to inform me. He promised to look into the matter. However, once again, several months passed without any response from him.
In October, I decided to visit the dealer in person to speak with the manager directly. To my disappointment, he informed me that it had been a year, so the time frame had passed, and the part was considered a convenience item, not covered under warranty. However, it's important to note that the Tire Pressure Monitoring System is mandatory in all vehicles since Congress passed the *** act in ***, which mandates this system. Therefore, it should have been covered under the *** warranty, and I was promised that it would be repaired. Instead, they avoided addressing the issue and used delay tactics to stall me.
Me and my husband, we leased a new Dodge Ram truck from Security Dodge Chrysler in ***, **
Me and my husband, we leased a new Dodge Ram truck from Security Dodge Chrysler in ***, . We put down $7,000 in a certified check and $500 on a credit card for a total of $7,500. But just two days later, the check engine light came on and the truck started driving really rough. It was shaking and vibrating at slow speeds and making loud noises when backing out of parking spots. We took it back to the dealer for repairs, but they couldn't fix it properly. The check engine light kept flashing and we had to bring it back to the dealer multiple times. It's been in service for 30 days now and they still haven't been able to fix it. We've been getting the runaround from Chrysler Corporate and the dealer. We just want our $7,500 down payment refunded and the lease contract canceled. This truck is not safe to drive. Please look into this issue. Thank you.
I got a bad experience again at Security Dodge in Amityville, NY
I got a bad experience again at Security Dodge in Amityville, NY. I called customer service many times and they said the service manager, Tim, would call me back, but I never got a call. So, I had to complain here to get in touch with someone. My car had a problem with acceleration that made me scared to drive it in October . I was worried I might hurt someone because of the issue. I took my car to get checked out. I had bad experiences before at Security Dodge, so I started going to Merrick Dodge instead. I went to Merrick Dodge first for this issue, but they said they could only give me a loaner car if I bought the car from them. So, I went back to Security Dodge to fix the problem. When I brought my car to the service department at Security Dodge, my service representative, Angel H., was quick to help. After the initial check, he said I should leave the car for more testing because he had never heard of the specific issue and was genuinely worried. He didn't want me to drive the car until they found the problem. I asked him about a loaner car and he told me who to talk to. They said they didn't have a loaner car for me. So, I walked home. I dropped off the car on a Friday and waited until Monday to call back because I didn't hear anything. My service representative called me back. We talked more about the issue and he asked about a loaner car again. He told me to go to the service department, but they said I couldn't have a loaner car. I asked why and they said Tim, the service manager, would call me back. But he never did. I didn't get my car back until Wednesday, fixed after 6 days without a car. The next week, I got a phone survey and they asked if I was happy with my experience. I said the car was fixed, but I wasn't happy about the loaner car. They said someone would call me back, but they never did. I don't think I'm asking for much. I just wanted to know why I couldn't get a loaner car for the week I didn't have my car. I'm disappointed that they kept saying they would call me, but I never got to talk to anyone about my issue. After my experiences at Security Dodge, I feel like this is the only way to get a response.
