My father bought me a Kenmore washer and dryer in July of 2017. I haven't had any issues with the dryer, yet, but the washer is a different story. In May of 2018 the mother board was replaced, not even a year old yet, warranty on the washer ran out 7/2018. Now my washer won't turn on once again. This washer wasn't cheap and it should last longer than a little over a year. I am not very happy about this product. Contacted Sears repair, was told that the new mother board was only warranted for 90 days and that it would cost me $89.99 for a diagnostic test, or I could purchase the home warranty for $49.99/month with an $80 copay and a maximum $500 replacement parts. I believe that my washer is a lemon and it should be replaced. I shouldn't have to replace a mother board after a new one was put in a little over 3 months ago. Please get back with me as soon as possible

Our refrigerator/freezer has a disgusting smell - like a dead animal. I bought it July 2017.
It's only one year old. We have cleaned it in the inside on the Outside behind it and underneath it - everywhere we can. The smell is horrible. We don't know what to do.
I would call Sears but when when my freezer went to auto defrost a couple of weeks ago
We had a Sears serviceman come light 💡 k at it - two weeks after I called and all he told me to do was take everything out and defrost it then spent most of her s visit trying to sign me up with a warranty service plan.
That did not help matters.
Now I have this horrible smell that is making me sick to me stomach. I will not call Sears so I'm hoping Kenmore can help me.
kenmore elite bottom freezer refrigerator
This refrigerator was purchased 2 yrs ago. There has already been two ice makers replaced on it. Now it will not cool or freeze. The mother board has been replaced and that did not fix the issue. My husband and I have not had a refrigerator now for 5 weeks. I have also not received any reimbursements from all of the food that was lost. We did purchase the extended warranty, but we have to wait weeks at a time for a technician to come out. When is the refrigerator considered a lemon? This is highly aggravating and frustrating. All of the money we spent on this refrigerator and over the last 2 years have had several months were we could not use it. We are very dissatisfied with this product and this company.

Purchased a new house that included Kenmore products, in particular a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, model 795.740433.411. The manufacture date on the door panel is 2016/01, just about 2 1/2 years old. We did not buy the extended warranty since it was a new refrigerator and did not expect it to have any flaws or problems especially in only 2 1/2 years.
Several weeks ago I noticed that there was ice build up under the ice bin. I cleared the ice and a day later there was ice again. Upon further inspection it turns out there was water spilling over when the ice tray would fill. The water would leak behind the Ice Maker Assembly and freeze, see attached picture. As it turns out I am not the only one with that problem and this appears to be a design flaw. There is no reason way water should spill out when filling the ice tray.
Several days ago when the wife was using the water dispenser it would not turn off and water kept flowing out onto the floor until one of the doors were opened. The same problem happened when using the ice dispenser as well. Whenever the dispenser handle was pressed either the water or ice would not disengage and no amount of pressing the handle would help. I engaged the control lock so no one would accidentally use the dispenser.
i called Sears and used the ServiceLive option for $25. I was told that if they could not diagnose the problem I would not be charged. Needless to say I was told that there could be several different reasons why the problem happened, including replacing the controller board for the water/ice dispenser. The cost of which could be around $300 just for the part. Considering it was not determined what was causing the problem was I should have been refunded the $25. Telling me that there could be 2 or 3 reasons why it not diagnosing the cause. Of course I was not refunded the money - no surprise there.
Later that night at about 1:00 am the refrigerator cap assembly engaged and the would not shut off. The only way to stop it was to disconnect the power to the refrigerator. The same thing happened again 3 more times that night. The door would open and the motor would grind continuously until the power was disconnected.
I suspect that water had also gotten behind the door panel and was causing the problems mentioned. The controller and assembly part was estimated to cost around $300. This did not include labor or the service call to diagnose the problem if the controller was the problem. After reading several other complaints it was decided not to try to fix this refrigerator and end up spending several hundreds of dollars on a problem that seems to occur over and over.
This all stems from the water overflowing behind the ice maker assembly and the door panel. The design is poorly done and is a flaw that Kenmore should resolve as automobile manufacturers do when a design flaw is discovered and should not be the responsibility of the owner, especially on a new top of the line refrigerator.

Purchased the oven back in June. Bottom oven is defective. I have called extended warranty and they have sent a repairmen 6 times and the oven is still not working. I have cancelled my extended warranty (what a joke).
I spoke to Sears last week and they insisted on sending another repair person. Again, they want to inconvenience me with this defective product that I no longer want. I have asked for them to honor the manufacturer's warranty and replace the product. I was given a case number and told that someone would call me in 72 hours.. Another joke. I call a week later and they tell me that they have scheduled a service call on 9/10. I told them that I will not be here and do not want any more service calls. How do you schedule service calls without talking to anyone.. They keep doing this.
This is ridiculous. It has never worked. Part after part.. I am taking time off to meet the tech and over a month later nothing has changed. I wish that I could just return all of their appliances and got to Lowe's or Home Depot.
I know they are going under but this is ridiculous. The product is defective just allow me to purchase another product that works

I purchased a Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator March 2017. August 2018 the refrigerator quit cooling. Long story but, after four service calls the problem could not be diagnosed. The last technician that came (9/5/18) said he had made more service calls for the model I purchased than any other model (of any brand). He told me that Sears/Kenmore and LG (the manufacturer) were aware of the brazing problem on a component at manufacture and have not/would not issue a recall. He told me of parts he could replace but, could not assure me that would fix the problem. He indicated that I could easily spent over $1000 more to fix it. I paid $2200 for this piece of junk and I'm having to have it hauled away tomorrow. I contacted Kenmore Customer Care and was offered no acceptable resolution!

Purchased June 2008...
My problem is the shelves on the refrigerator section... the plastic framing for the shelves is cracking/broken on all three shelves. This is not normal. I've owned many refrigerators in my 78 years and I've never had this problem before.
I consider this a product defect. This wasn't an inexpensive unit. Sears/ Kenmore should replace the shelves at no cost to me.

Absolutely Livid! Had this refrigerator for a year when it just stopped running! Sears took 3 months and 3 repair men to look at it while we lived out of a cooler for 3 months! Compressor blew, had a full warranty.. Worst customer service and most expensive piece of garbage ever purchased! Ice maker stopped working shortly after..! Call up Sears they transfer you to a warranty department! I am all in for a class action Lawsuit!

Bought a Kenmore grab and go fridge in Aug. 2017 in June they replaced 5 parts but it still didn't cool, they replaced the non working fridge with a new Kenmore grab an go within 30 days of having it a year the same thing has happened. In July 2018 we contacted Kenmore, we gotten the run around now for 3 weeks meanwhile food has spoiled, we are out thousands of dollars and we can get customer service to tell us when or if they are giving us our money back, after having 2 of the same fridges not cooling we do not want another Kenmore. Please help we have called, twitted and emailed them and the issue is still not resolved.

Purchased range latter part of 2014 and placed in service January of 2015. In March of 2016, oven gave an error message and shuts down while in use. Serviceman replaces computer board. Approximately 12 months later the same thing happened. Serviceman replaced same part. In June of 2018, same problem. By this time the 3 year warranty had expired. Called for service and I was informed I would pay $400-500 to replace the part. I will not pay this when I know it will go out again in a few months. Kenmore has successfully kicked the can down the road. I cannot find anyone at Kenmore to talk with. I will never ever buy anything from Kenmore again.

My daughter was just at this location and while getting back into her car was pushed fro. Behind and her money taken by 4 young men, there is constantly groups of people loitering outside the store. I used to go to that store every day I refuse to go anymore chase I DO NOT FEEL SAFE and I'm a grown man, I have seen employees outside with these groups, luckily my daughter was hurt just scared, I really think the situation needs to be looked into for the safety of your customers. I for one will not be back at that store until the situation is handled and I will let my family and friends know

I purchased this vacuum model at the Sears store( not a main store) in the Brazos Shopping center on June 29, 2018 which has since been closed. I tried to take it back to the main store in Ft. Worth but was told that because it was purchased at satellite store it cannot be returned.
On the first vacuum, the covering over the hepa filter in the rear would shoot across the room and the extendable wand would not stay retracted. I took it back and they replaced it with another one of the same model. On this one the head keeps detaching and it is nearly impossible to push the carpet cleaner on carpeting unless you have it on the highest setting, which doesn't do much good on very low pile carpets. You can pull it backwards, but that is inconvenient. I am 72 years old and have been happily purchasing Kenmore items since the 1960's. This, however, does not make me happy. It is expensive junk (I paid $380.99 cash).
I would like to return it or be refunded my purchase price.
kenmore oven
The handle on my oven door keeps falling off and this is super dangerous as it usually happens when I am trying to open the oven door. The entire door snaps back and slams shut. I have gotten burned multiple times, and I no longer allow my teenagers to even open the oven. Last night when I wasnt even using the oven, the entire door fell off - glass and all. When this happened the metal trim around the door bent, and I can't even put the glass back on. Just a little research and you find that the screws on the handle are too short and this is a KNOWN DEFECT for these ovens, but Sears charges $175 for the replacement parts to make their defective product safe. DO NOT PURCHASE KENMORE PRODUCTS. They have no concern for customer safety at all.
kenmore 509 series auto sensing top loader washer
I purchased your 500 series top load washer 12/24/2015 less then 3 years old and I'm having nothing but trouble. The first year and a half it was fine then it started clanking and wasn't getting my clothes clean. I've ran the clean washer cycle. Now the auto sensing isn't working properly and it will not drain after a rinse cycle unles I physically drain. We have removed the top cover inside and yes there was a couple pennies in there. We have checked and blown air into every line no clogs. We took the drain pump apart cleaned it there was a small piece of metal in the side of it. It will go completely through the cycles if I'm not using it for a few days and I've unplugged it but after two cycles it's right back to not running through the proper channels. I'm so sick of this washing machine I could kick it. I did not get the extended warranty because number one it was Xmas eve and we didn't have the money and number two I figured I wouldn't have so many problems with it after only owning it less then 3 years. My last kenmore I bought only lasted 8 years before the whole underneath completely rusted out locking of the agitater. I demand something done about my situation. This is inexcusable.

Called to get warranty info for a customers heater and was told only a Sears tech could determine if the tank was leaking or not but every time I was transferred to that department to set up time to have one come out I was hung up on. Since I could not be connected to that department so we removed kenmore water heater since it was leaking all over the floor from the bottom of the tank. Tank is less than 5 years old and warranty of 10 years. Tank is under warranty but they make it impossible to reach someone that can help. Pretty convenient for the company that is responsible for warranty exchange
kenmore series 500 he washer
2 1/2 years ago my husband and I purchased a kenmore series 500 he washer and dryer, and never did we imagine that we were throwing nearly $800 away, because this is the worse major appliances that one may get purchase.
My clothing have never came good and clean, it doesn't spin out right, it's terribly noisy, and the odor in that thing is disgusting, and yes it's run through the machine cleaning cycle. What a joke though! I will make it a point to make SURE that as man ppl as I can reach out to in social media, to steal them clear of Kenmore products.
And your dryer, well it's had to be repaired 2 Times in this short period of time, and it's so sorry the handle even broke off!

Hello, I have a Kenmore Elite Model 795.74043.412 that is only a little over a year old, I bought in January 2017. Last week I started to smell a rotten smell in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from. Finally realized that it was coming from the back of the fridge. We found the pan that should be able to come out to be cleaned; however, it cannot come out. The smell is coming from there. We looked through it and had a technician come look at it and they couldn't figure it out what was causing the smell either. I have seen that you have complaints dating back to 2010 for this same smell and it seems that nothing has been done about it. Very disappointed in this fridge but more importantly the lack of customer service. I am hoping that someone will respond to me; however, I seriously doubt it.

I recently purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer combo from sears.com. When I purchased it I was told that I could receive a $300 rebate by mailing all the rebate forms and a copy of our online receipt. I mailed everything in on the 24th of March, 2018. I was told that it would take 8 - 12 weeks to receive my gift card from them and here I sit with no gift card in hand. I have tried to reach out to Sears and Kenmore both, and all I have gotten for my trouble is the royal run around. Telephone numbers that don't work, websites that lead to nowhere, and customer service agents that don't have a clue how to help me. To say I am pissed is the understatement of the year. The rebate is one of the reasons we decided to buy from Sears and now I feel like a fool for trusting this company. No wonder they are closing so many of their stores. I guess Sears is another U.S. company you can't trust anymore.
loss of food due to refrigerator not working
I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator from Kmart on June 23, 2018 on the third day of being in use I came home to an entire refrigerator of food spoiled. The refrigerator was 65 degrees inside on almost the highest setting and the freezer was frozen so solid that ice fell out when you opened the door. I returned the item to Kmart and received a refund, however I lost approimately $50 worth of food, Kmart told me to file a complaint online to see if I could get reimbursed for this loss.
